The influence of the number and spatial layout of charge on the overpressure was studied using numerical simulation. The 2-D axisymmetric models were established, considering that the pressure-time history of two equal-intensity shock waves is equivalent to that of shock waves reflected from a rigid surface. At the same position, the overpressures produced by single charge and double charges, which were installed with different included angles, were measured respectively. The results show that the overpressure produced by double charges increase significantly compared to that produced by single charge. With the increase of the included angle between double charges, the overpressure increases and reaches the maximum value when the included angle is 180°.

Contains fulltext : 177598.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Closed access) OBJECTIVES: Excessive fluid therapy in patients with sepsis may be associated with risks that outweigh any benefit. We investigated the possible influence of early fluid balance on outcome in a large international database of ICU patients with sepsis. DESIGN: Observational cohort study. SETTING: Seven hundred and thirty ICUs in 84 countries. PATIENTS: All adult patients admitted between May 8 and May 18, 2012, except admissions for routine postoperative surveillance. For this analysis, we included only the 1,808 patients with an admission diagnosis of sepsis. Patients were stratified according to quartiles of cumulative fluid balance 24 hours and 3 days after ICU admission. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS: ICU and hospital mortality rates were 27.6% and 37.3%, respectively. The cumulative fluid balance increased from 1,217 mL (-90 to 2,783 mL) in the first 24 hours after ICU admission to 1,794 mL (-951 to 5,108 mL) on day 3 and decreased thereafter. The cumulative fluid intake was similar in survivors and nonsurvivors, but fluid balance was less positive in survivors because of higher fluid output in these patients. Fluid balances became negative after the third ICU day in survivors but remained positive in nonsurvivors. After adjustment for possible confounders in multivariable analysis, the 24-hour cumulative fluid balance was not associated with an increased hazard of 28-day in-hospital death. However, there was a stepwise increase in the hazard of death with higher quartiles of 3-day cumulative fluid balance in the whole population and after stratification according to the presence of septic shock. CONCLUSIONS: In this large cohort of patients with sepsis, higher cumulative fluid balance at day 3 but not in the first 24 hours after ICU admission was independently associated with an increase in the hazard of death.

A new concept of power generator using self-induced oscillating hydrofoil with upwind arm and downwind arm configurations to extract energy from fluid is proposed and numerically tested in the present study. The pitching motion of the symmetrical hydrofoil with camber is induced by the shedding vortexes downward the hydrofoil, and a pitching damper with critical pitching angle is utilized to control the pitching amplitude. Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes simulation at Re = 1100 are carried out to study the fluid-hydrofoil interaction as well as the performance of energy extraction. The effects of camber, critical pitching angle, arm length and swing direction are systematically studied. Numerical results demonstrate that camber and critical pitching angle have significant effects on the energy extraction performance of the power generator, and optimized camber and critical pitching angle configurations can increase the power coefficient and efficiency dramatically. With best structural parameters and hydrofoil shape, the power generator can reach maximum power coefficient of 0.8 and energy extraction efficiency of 0.285. Besides, the upwind arm configuration achieves better performance over the downwind arm configuration. The effect of arm length is not so profound as other parameters in our study.

The nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) family proteins are transcription factors that regulate the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and other genes during the immune response. Although the NFAT proteins have been extensively investigated in the immune system, their role in cancer progression remains controversial. Here, we report that NFAT3 is highly expressed in various skin cancer cell lines and tumor tissues. Knockdown of endogenous NFAT3 expression by short hairpin RNA (shRNA) significantly inhibited tumor cell proliferation, colony formation and anchorage-independent cell growth. Furthermore, results of the mammalian two-hybrid assay showed that cyclin-dependent kinase 3 (CDK3) directly interacted with NFAT3 and phosphorylated NFAT3 at serine 259 (Ser259), which enhanced the transactivation and transcriptional activity of NFAT3. The phosphorylation site of NFAT3 was critical for epidermal growth factor (EGF)-stimulated cell transformation of the HaCaT immortalized skin cell line and mutation of NFAT3 at Ser259 led to a reduction of colony formation in soft agar. We also found that overexpressing wildtype NFAT3, but not mutant NFAT3-S259A, promoted A431 xenograft tumor growth. Importantly, we showed that CDK3, NFAT3 and phosphorylated NFAT3-Ser259 were highly expressed in skin cancer compared with normal skin tissues. These results provided evidence supporting the oncogenic potential of NFAT3 and suggested that CDK3-mediated phosphorylation of NFAT3 has an important role in skin tumorigenesis.

The pyrolysis kinetics of invasive plant Spartina anglica biomass was investigated via a thermogravimetric (TG) analyzer from 50 to 800 degrees C in an inert argon atmosphere at different heating rates of 5-30 degrees C/min, and the kinetic parameters were deduced by Starink and master-plots methods. The results showed that three stages appeared in the thermal degradation process, and the mean value of activation energy was calculated to be 291.57 kJ/mol by the Starink method. It suggested that the most probable pyrolysis kinetic model was g(a) = [-ln(1-a)](4) deduced by the master-plots method, which meant a random nucleation and nuclei growth mechanism. These results provided fundamental useful information for describing the pyrolysis process, and the subsequent designing and running of a pyrolytic processing system using S. anglica as feedstock.

A new type of Gurney flap is applied for energy extraction enhancement of a flapping airfoil. Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes simulations at Re = 10 4 are conducted to study the effect of Gurney flaps with various heights. The investigations are undertaken over a wide range of kinematic parameters (reduced frequency k , pitching amplitude θ 0 ). Numerical results show that the application of a Gurney flap notably increases the maximum output power and efficiency compared with a clean NACA0012 airfoil. By affecting the flow structure and the pressure distribution around the trailing edge of the airfoil, the Gurney flap is beneficial to the lift force generation, thus leading to a higher power coefficient. The maximum power coefficient increases with Gurney flap height h g at first between h g = 0 c –0.3 c ( c is the airfoil chord length), while a further increase in h g provides no further energy extraction enhancement. Besides, the increasing h g results in stronger trailing edge vortices and higher drag force.

Clinical depression is one of the most common and debilitating psychiatric disorders and contributes to increased risks of disability and suicide. Differentially expressed serum proteins may serve as biomarkers for diagnosing depression. In this study, samples from depressed patients are aggregated into a pool (22×100μL serum was used) and samples from healthy volunteers are aggregated into the other pool (20×100μL serum was used). Isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ) technology and tandem mass spectrometry were employed to screen for differentially expressed serum protein in two separate pools. We identified 472 proteins in the serum samples, and 154 of these presented differences in abundance between the depression and control groups. Ingenuity pathway analysis (IPA) was employed to identify the highest scoring proteins in signaling pathway networks. Finally, four differentially expressed proteins were validated by enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA). Proteomic studies revealed that levels of c-reaction protein (CRP), inter-alpha-trypsin inhibitor heavy chain H4 (ITIH4), serum amyloid A1 (SAA1) and angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) were substantially increased in depressed patients compared with the healthy control group. Therefore, these differentially expressed proteins may represent potential markers for the clinical diagnosis of depression.

Introduction: About 5-10% of newly diagnosed breast cancers present with de novo metastatic disease. Clinicians are increasingly faced with the dilemma of how to manage a primary tumor that may produce physical and emotional discomfort in the setting of stable distant disease. Lack of outcome data for primary local therapy (PLT) in locally advanced metastatic breast cancer (LAMBC) makes patient counseling difficult. We conducted a population-based analysis of morbidity of PLT among older women with LAMBC. Methods: Patients with de novo LAMBC (T4M1) diagnosed between 2005 and 2009 were identified in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER)-Medicare database. Rates of treatment-related complications seen within 1 year of diagnosis and overall 1-year survival were analyzed. Complications were identified using ICD 9 codes (table 1). Results: Among 5,111 patients with LAMBC most did not have PLT (N=3699, 72%). PLT included surgery (N=656, 13%), radiation (N=542, 11%), and both surgery and radiation (N=214, 4%). The most common surgeries were modified radical mastectomy (N=558, 53%) and total mastectomy (N=207, 20%). Complication rates differed significantly by type of PLT, with highest rates seen in patients who had surgery plus radiation. The aim of this study was to observe the effect of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α on bone regeneration during distraction osteogenesis (DO). Fifty-one New Zealand white rabbits underwent mandibular lengthening with a distraction rate of 2mm/day, and were divided randomly into three groups (17 in each). Group C rabbits received 20 μg rHIF-1α, group B received 10 μg rHIF-1α, and group A received 100 μl saline injection in the distraction gap every day for 10 days. We report on (n,γ) neutron capture experiments performed with the Liquid-Lithium Target (LiLiT) and the mA-proton beam at 1.92 MeV (2-3 kW) from the Soreq Applied Research Accelerator Facility (SARAF). The setup yields high-intensity 30-keV quasi-Maxwellian neutrons (3-5 × 1010 n/s) closely reproducing the conditions of s-process stellar nucleosynthesis. The 78,80,8486Kr(n,γ) reactions at the border between weak- and strong- s-process were studied. A Ti sphere filled with 107.7 mg of natural Kr gas was placed in an irradiation chamber downstream of LiLiT with a gold foil used as a neutron fluence monitor during the activation. The activities of the short-lived Kr isotopes (7985m87Kr) were measured by γ decay counting with a HPGe detector. The long-lived Kr isotopes (81,85gKr) were measured by atom counting via Atom Trap Trace Analysis (ATTA) at Argonne and Low-Level Counting (LLC) at Bern.

To investigate the seismic performance of a new type of fully assembled beam-column joints, finite element models are established by ABAQUS with the nonlinear and geometric nonlinear effects considered to simulate 5 joints based on the quasi-static test. Through the comparison between finite element analysis and experimental results, the validity of finite element models is verified. Then the correlation parameters and their effects on the seismic performance of joints are analysed.

To explore the role of HOTAIR in the pathogenesis of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) and its underlying mechanism.Differentially expressed lncRNA (HOTAIR) in ACC was screened out from the GEO database. The survival analysis and ROC curve were performed according to HOTAIR expressions in ACC patients. The correlation between HOTAIR expression and clinical information of ACC patients was analyzed by chi-square test. The univariate and multivariate COX regression analysis was carried out to analyze the relationship between HOTAIR expression, disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) of ACC patients. We then detected HOTAIR expression in 77 ACC tissues and 30 normal tissues by qRT-PCR (quantitative Real-time polymerase chain reaction). ACC cell lines were further screened out for the following in vitro experiments. After altering HOTAIR expression in ACC cells by plasmid transfection, proliferation and cell cycle were detected by Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) and colony formation assay, respectively. Finally, Western blot was utilized to detect expressions of cell cycle-related genes in ACC cells.HOTAIR was overexpressed in ACC tissues than that of normal tissues. HOTAIR expression was remarkably increased in ACC with T3 and T4 stage than that of T1 and T2 stage. Moreover, HOTAIR expression was remarkably increased in ACC with stage III and IV than that of stage I and II. HOTAIR was an independent prognostic factor for DFS and OS of ACC patients. For in vitro experiments, inhibited proliferation and arrested cell cycle were observed in H295R cells transfected with si-HOTAIR. Opposite results were obtained after SW-13 cells were transfected with HOTAIR overexpression plasmid. Furthermore, expressions of cell cycle-related genes, including Cyclin D1, p-Rb and p-GSK3β were remarkably decreased after HOTAIR knockdown.We demonstrated for the first time that HOTAIR is overexpressed in ACC and is a prognostic risk factor in ACC patients. HOTAIR participates in the development and progression of ACC via shortening cell cycle and promoting proliferation of ACC cells.

Pathogenesis factor of pregnant hypertension is still unclear and lacks of effective treatment. MiR-155 is a recently discovered miRNA molecule with differential expression in pregnant hypertension, which participates in the disease regulation. As a downstream target gene of miR-155, FOXO3a is correlated with blood pressure regulation. We investigated the regulatory role and mechanism of miR-155 in pregnant hypertension.We established a pregnant hypertension rat model, on which miR-155 inhibitor or FOXO3a siRNA was applied, followed by HE staining, 24 h urea protein, blood pressure and serum creatine assay to evaluate disease severity.MiR-155 expression was significantly elevated in model rats, accompanied by a reduction of the FOXO3a level. MiR-155 inhibitor suppressed miR-155 expression, increased FOXO3a level and placental tissue morphology by HE staining, and depressed blood pressure as well as serum creatine level. Downregulation of FOXO3a by specific siRNA resulted in opposite effects. These results illustrated the miR-155 mediated FOXO3a expression in pregnant hypertension.The inhibition of miR-155 improves the damage of pregnant hypertension via the upregulation of FOXO3a, which provides academic leads for the future therapy of pregnant hypertension.

Hepatocarcinoma is a great threat to global health. MicroRNA-23a was suggested to regulate growth and apoptosis in certain cell lines. Our study was focused on growth, proliferation, and apoptosis of hepatocarcinoma cell line MHCC97H under the influence of microRNA-23a, and explored the mechanism of pro-apoptosis microRNA-23a.MicroRNA-23a and control microRNA (scramble miRNA, for short as miRNA) were synthesized with the routine protocol. Lipofection transfection was performed in hepatocarcinoma cell line MHCC97H. 3-(4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay, caspase-3 activity detection, and flow cytometry were performed to examine growth, proliferation, and apoptosis of hepatocarcinoma cell line MHCC97H, respectively. Kidney inhibitor of apoptosis protein (KIAP) and small interfere RNA (siRNA) was synthesized for inhibition of KIAP. KIAP plasmid was established for activation of KIAP. Western blot was performed to examine the protein expression of KIAP and caspase protein family after transfection of KIAP siRNA or KIAP plasmid.Compared with miRNA transfection, microRNA-23a transfection significantly reduced the growth of MHCC97H cells, and decreased the expression of KIAP (p0.05). Enhanced translocation of phosphatidylserine and activation of caspase-3 were observed in microRNA-23a transfection cells. Moreover, inhibition of KIAP enhanced the pro-apoptosis effect of microRNA-23a, while activation of KIAP abrogated pro-apoptosis effect of microRNA-23a.MicroRNA-23a inhibits growth and proliferation of MHCC97H cells, and induces apoptosis of MHCC97H cells via down-regulating KIAP. KIAP could be a potential therapeutic target for hepatocarcinoma treatment.

This study aimed at exploring and contrasting the clinical significances and values of MRI, CT and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in FIGO staging of cervical carcinoma.The contrast-enhanced ultrasonography, CT and MRI imaging data of 348 patients with cervical carcinoma confirmed by clinical pathology were analyzed retrospectively and contrasted with pathological findings.The total accuracy of MRI in cervical carcinoma staging was 79.89% (278/348), and the diagnostic accuracy of MRI in stage IB, stage II, stage III and stage IV of cervical carcinoma was 74.29% (26/35), 75.74% (153/202), 85.25% (52/61), 94.00% (47/50), respectively. The total accuracy of CT in cervical carcinoma staging was 73.28% (255/348), and the diagnostic accuracy of CT in stage IB, stage II, stage III and stage IV of cervical carcinoma was 60.00% (21/35), 69.80% (141/202), 78.69% (48/61), 94.00% (45/50), respectively. The total accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in cervical carcinoma staging was 57.47% (200/348), and the diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in stage IB, stage II, stage III and stage IV of cervical carcinoma was 37.14% (13/35), 50.99% (103/202), 70.49% (43/61), 82.00% (41/50), respectively. The accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of stage IB, stage II of cervical carcinoma was higher than that of CT and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (p0.05), and the diagnostic accuracy of CT was higher than that of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (p0.05). The differences among the three methods were statistically significant.According to the results of pathological sections, there were statistically significant differences among the sensitivity and specificity of MRI, CT and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography in the diagnosis of stage IB and stage II (p0.05). MRI has high diagnostic values in the differentiation and diagnosis of cervical carcinoma staging.

Ovarian cancer is a commonly occurred tumor in females. High motility group box-1 protein (HHMB1) is a chromosome-related protein with multiple functions. A recent study revealed critical roles of HMGB1 in occurrence and progression of ovarian cancer. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) is a recently identified novel molecule, which regulates acetylation of HMGB1. Whether SIRT1 is involved in migration, invasion or angiogenesis of ovarian cancer is unclear. This study aims to investigate the role of SIRT1-induced HMGB1 acetylation in migration, invasion, and angiogenesis in ovarian cancer.In ovarian cancer cell line, SIRT1 expression was potentiated. Western blot and immunofluorescence were used to measure HMGB1 expression, acetylation level, and nuclear translocation. Scratch assay and transwell chamber methods were used to examine cell migration and invasion potency. A mouse model with ovarian cancer cell transplantation was generated to measure induced nitric oxide synthase (iNOs) and CD105 expression.Compared to adjacent tissues, ovarian cancer tissues had significantly decreased SIRT1 expression. In ovarian cancer cells, SIRT1 over-expression decreased HMGB1 and acetylation levels, and SIRT1 knockdown facilitated HMGB1 expression and acetylation. SIRT1 over-expression also suppressed nuclear translocation of HMGB1. Meanwhile, SIRT1 could suppress, migration and angiogenesis of ovarian cancer cells via HMGB1.SIRT1 over-expression effectively inhibited HMGB1 expression and acetylation, thus inhibiting ovarian cancer migration, invasion and angiogenesis. HMGB1 modulated behaviors of ovarian cancer via SIRT1. Therefore, SIRT1 might work as a treatment target for managing ovarian cancer migration.

To analyze the clinicopathologic feature of Stage I A I squamous carcinoma of the cervix (SCC) and to explore the outcome of different surgical methods.Clinicopathological data of 346 cases with Stage I Al SCC diagnosed between November 2nd, 1995 and December 31st, 2011 were reviewed and analyzed.As major diagnostic method, 44.5% (154/346) patients accepted cold knife conization (CKC), while 58.1% (201/346) patient took total hysterectomy (TH) as their final surgical methods. The trend in treatment methods from 1995 to 2011 revealed that increasing cases were treated with CKC, modified radical hysterectomy (MRH) obviously reduced, while the proportion treated by TH remained unchanged. Due to a small number of cases receiving vaginal trachelectomy (VT) and radical trachelectomy (RT), the authors did not find any obvious changes.The overall recurrence rate was 1.2% (4/346). The overall survival rates for CKC, VT, TH, MRH, and RT were 100%, 100%, 98.2%, 100%, and 100%, and the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.819). The incidence rate of LVSI was 4.9% (17/346), the overall survival rates for patients with LVSI and without LVSI were 99.3% and 93.3%, respectively, and there was statistical difference between them (p = 0.003). Univariate analysis showed that only LVSI was an important predictor for survival (p = 0.030).the treatments for Stage I Al SCC are becoming more conservative, and individualized therapy and more frequent surveillance should be administrated to those patients with LVSI.

To provide autonomy support from three dimensions based on self-determination theory (SDT), i.e. professional support, peer support, family support, and to investigate whether this intervention can improve diabetes self-management behavior and glycemic control of diabetic patients, and to analyze the influencing factors of the effect.Using convenient sampling method, three communities were selected respectively in Beijing. Each community selected health service stations with similar conditions as different intervention groups. The diabetic patients managed by the station who were eligible for inclusion were recruited into this intervention group. The community stations were divided into three groups. The routine intervention group only issued knowledge manuals and conducted health management according to the requirements of basic public health services. Peer support groups were divided into small groups and carried out doctor-led group activities. Based on doctor-led peer support activities, the doctors and peers were trained to provide autonomy support based on self-determination theory, and their family members were trained in the form of manuals to provide autonomy support, forming a concerted support of the three dimensions. Activity processes and materials were also designed based on SDT. The intervention duration was 3 months, and the main evaluation indexes were HbA1c and patients' self-management behaviors, skills, knowledge, and self-efficacy scores.Before and after the intervention, the HbA1c of routine intervention group were 7.40%±1.37%, 7.30%±1.18%. The HbA1c of peer support group before and after the intervention were 7.33%±1.15% and 7.13%±1.27%. The HbA1c of autonomy support group before and after the intervention were 7.42%±1.22% and 6.78%±0.80%. Before and after the intervention, the self-management score in routine intervention group was 10.54±2.28 and 10.80±2.15, the score in peer support group was 11.09±1.89 and 11.40±1.78, the score in autonomy support group was 10.34±1.99 and 11.10±1.65, respectively. The HbA1c and self-management score increased higher in autonomy support group than in the other two groups. After intervention, the control rate in autonomy support group was higher than in the other two groups. According to the multi-factor analysis, the value of HbA1c after intervention was positively related to the baseline HbA1c, and negatively related to self-management behavior. The value in autonomy support group was higher than in routine intervention group. Baseline self-management behavior, self-efficacy, knowledge, skill, family support, autonomy support, peer support and age were positively correlated with the change of behavior.self-management behavior intervention based on self-determination theory can effectively promote self-management behavior and glycemic control of diabetic patients, and the effect is better than single peer support activities.

Using a low background data sample of 9.7×10^{5} J/ψ→γη^{'}, η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} events, which are 2 orders of magnitude larger than those from the previous experiments, recorded with the BESIII detector at BEPCII, the decay dynamics of η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} are studied with both model-dependent and model-independent approaches. The contributions of ω and the ρ(770)-ω interference are observed for the first time in the decays η^{'}→γπ^{+}π^{-} in both approaches. Additionally, a contribution from the box anomaly or the ρ(1450) resonance is required in the model-dependent approach, while the process specific part of the decay amplitude is determined in the model-independent approach.

Summary Fracture paramters are quite important for fractured resevoir characterization in seismic field data interpretation. Since the density, length and width of the fractures and pore fluids filling in fracture space control the fracture weakness. In this work, to understand the effects of key fracture parameters and fluid contents on seismic wave propagation in fractured porous rocks, we incorporate the fracture weakness measurement related to the characteristics of fractured porous rocks into the calculation of the equivalent elastic stiffness matrix and then simulate the corresponding seismic wave propagation in the rocks. The numerical results demonstrate that the fracture weakness associated with fracture density, porosity and pore fluid contents leads to significant changes of anisotropic properties and the corresponding seismic behaviors of wave propagation in fractured porous rocks. The method is favorable to measure the fracture parameters-dependent effects on seismic waves. The phenomena on numerical results produce beneficial implications for fracture parameters estimation of the fractured reservoirs inverted from seismic field data.

A new concept of power generator using two oscillating foils in parallel configuration to extract energy from fluid is proposed and numerically tested in the present study. The theoretical performance of the turbine in this form is investigated through unsteady two-dimensional laminar-flow Navier-Stokes simulations. The effect of the interaction between the two foils is studied at different pitching amplitudes and phase differences between the two foils. The energy extraction performance, instantaneous force coefficients and flow details are compared between single foil and dual foils, and thus the mechanism of performance improvement by wing-in-ground effect is revealed. Two different kinds of asymmetric sinusoidal motions are utilized to further improve the performance of the turbine. Numerical results indicate that anti-phase mode can achieve higher power coefficient than the in-phase mode. The contracted passage under anti-phase mode helps produce larger lift force and power coefficient. The maximum power coefficient per foil for anti-phase dual foils is 1.4% higher than that of single foil. The asymmetric sinusoidal pitching motion in phase can improve the synchronization between plunging velocity and lift force and thus further enhance the energy extraction performance by 1.3%. Besides, the pitching motion with asymmetric amplitude also can increase the power coefficient somehow, but the improvement is very limited.

We represented a 22-year-old male patient who developed rhabdomyolysis, acute kidney failure and acute hepatic failure and was finally diagnosed as multiple acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency. A 60-year-old man presented with severe watery diarrhea for 2 months complicated with weight loss and acute kidney injury. He did not respond well to antidiarrheal medicines, empirical antibiotics and dietary exclusion of gluten or even complete bowel rest. The final diagnosis of autoimmune enteropathy (AIE) was made based on histopathologic findings of endoscopic biopsy from duodenal mucosa after excluding neoplastic disease, inflammatory bowel disease, and infectious diarrhea, etc. Chronic diarrhea and oliguria alleviated after the administration of corticosteroids.患者男，60岁。因大量水样泻2个月余就诊，伴体重明显下降，并发急性肾损伤，经多种止泻药物、经验性抗感染及禁食禁水试验、去麦胶饮食等治疗均无明确疗效。在除外肿瘤性疾病、炎症性肠病及感染性腹泻等病因后，结合胃镜病理改变诊断为自身免疫性肠病，予糖皮质激素治疗后病情好转。.

This work discusses the effects of different electroplating parameters over the mechanical properties, crystal orientation and electrical resistance of Through-Silicon-Via (TSV) fabricated by the supercritical carbon dioxide (sc-CO 2 ) electroplating process, post sc-CO 2 electroplating and traditional electroplating. The results show that the TSV fabricated by the sc-CO 2 and post sc-CO 2 electroplating processes have better mechanical properties, more evident grain refinement effect, and better hole-filling capabilities when compared to traditional electroplating process, and even without the addition of surfactants a more smooth surface finish can be achieved. Moreover, when the three processes are applied to filling of TSV chips, it is seen that both sc-CO 2 and post sc-CO 2 have a shorter fabrication time and enhanced plating capabilities (reduction of defects or gaps) when compared to the traditional electroplating.

Previous studies have reported changes within grey matter (GM) volume in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD); however, little is known about GM volume changes and the relation with symptom severity in Chinese boys with low functioning autism spectrum disorder (LFASD).GM volume was analysed using SPM 8 and compared between 16 boys with LFASD as well as 16 typically developing (TD) boys (using REST 1.8). Additionally, the correlation between GM volume and clinical symptoms was analysed, using subscales within the Autism Behaviour Checklist (ABC).The comparison showed a reduced volume of GM in 11 clusters in the boys with LFASD (i.e., the left inferior frontal gyrus, orbital part; right superior temporal gyrus, superior frontal gyrus, dorsolateral; precuneus and postcentral; bilateral rectus and middle temporal gyrus) and 1 area with increased GM volume (right caudate) compared to the TD group. Additionally, the GM volume of the left inferior frontal gyrus, orbital part was negatively correlated with the Social subscale score of the ABC (r = -0.765, P = 0.002), and the GM volume of the left Rectus was negatively associated with the Language, Body concept and Self-care subscale scores and the total score on the ABC(r = -0.624, P = 0.023; r = -0.657, P = 0.011; r = -0.618, P = 0.025; r = -0.625, P = 0.022). Further, the GM volume of the right Caudate was negatively correlated with the Sensory subscale on the ABC (r = -0.593, P = 0.033).In conclusion, the current study's findings display that the GM volume was widely reduced in Chinese boys with LFASD compared to TD boys and negatively correlated with the clinical symptoms, indicating a possible pathological mechanism of LFASD.

The Protected Areas (PAs) with natural, ecological and cultural value play important role in biological processes, biodiversity and ecosystem service. During the past years of rapid urban expansion in China, the spatial range and intensity of light pollution unprecedented increase. Historically, optical remote sensing and field survey data had been used to reveal that human activities impacted on PAs for individual areas and few papers documented the issue of light pollution impact on PAs at national scale. Here, time series night-time light satellite images of Defense Meteorological Satellite Program Operational Linescan System (DMSP-OLS) were selected to assess the light pollution impacted on PAs in China. The method we proposed can be effectively applied to assess the impact of light pollution on PAs and the percent of dark PAs decreased by 35.38 % from 1992 to 2012 at nationwide. The trend of light pollution of most PAs in stable, however, light pollution of the local area is increase significantly, especially in northern Xinjiang, Gansu, Xizang, Yunnan, Jiangsu and Shandong. Considering the current status of light pollution encroach into PAs, two strategies of appropriate buffer zone and wide measured for light pollution are also recommend.

The aim of this study is to investigate whether 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH) D] is associated with initial stroke severity and infarct volume, using diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) in patients with acute ischemic stroke.We studied a total of 235 patients who were admitted within 24 hours of acute ischemic stroke onset. Initial stroke severity was assessed using the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score. Infarct volume was measured using DWI. Multivariable linear and logistic regression analyses were used to test whether 25(OH) D represents an independent predictor of infarct volume and stroke severity (NIHSS score of ≥6).Among 235 study patients, the median age was 64 years (IQR 56-75 years), and 125 (53.2%) were women. In multivariable models adjusted for other significant risk factors, 25(OH) D levels in the lowest and second interquartiles were associated with an increased risk of a NIHSS≥6 (with highest 25 (OH) D quartile as reference) with odd ratios (OR) 3.02(95% confidence interval [CI]:1.59-6.34) and 5.85(2.90-11.54). The median DWI infarct volumes for the serum 25(OH) D level quartiles (lowest to highest) were 12.35, 6.55, 2.44, and 1.59 ml. The median DWI infarct volume in the lowest serum 25(OH) D level quartile was larger than that in the other 3 quartiles (P0.001). The median adjusted DWI infarct volume in the lowest serum 25(OH) D level quartile was statistically significantly larger than that in the other 3 quartiles (P0.01).In conclusion, reduced serum 25(OH) D levels in acute ischemic stroke are an early predictor of larger volumes of ischemic tissue and worse neurological deficit (assessed by the NIHSS).

Background The introduction of trastuzumab in combination with chemotherapy has significantly improved clinical outcomes for patients with HER2-positive breast cancer. HLX02 was developed as a trastuzumab biosimilar with the potential to increase market competition and treatment accessibility in China and around the world. Methods We conducted a randomised, double-blind, parallel-controlled equivalence study (HLX02-BC01) at 89 study centres in China, Philippines, Poland and Ukraine. Eligible women were aged 18 years or older, had histologically confirmed HER2+ breast cancer, an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status of 0 to 1, and estimated life expectancy ≥3 months. Patients were randomised at 1:1 to receive an intravenous dose of 8 mg/kg of HLX02 or EU-trastuzumab with docetaxel on Day 1 -Cycle 1 followed by a dose of 6 mg/kg once every 3 weeks in 3-weekly cycles for up to a maximum of 12 months. The primary endpoint was best overall response rate at Week 24 (ORRwk24) evaluated by blinded central imaging review. Secondary endpoints included clinical benefit rate (CBR), disease control rate (DCR), duration of response (DoR), progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), safety outcomes with immunogenicity and incidence of adverse events up to 12 months. Results Of 1046 patients enrolled, 649 were randomly allocated to receive HLX02 (n = 324) or EU-trastuzumab (n = 325). The ORR was 71.0% (230 of 324 patients; 95% CI: 66.0, 75.9) for HLX02 and 71.4% (232 of 325 patients; 95% CI: 66.5, 76.3) for EU-trastuzumab. The p-value at 95% CI (p = 0.952) was completely contained within the pre-defined equivalence boundaries of ± 13.5%. The difference in ORR between the 2 treatments was 0.4 (95% CI: -7.4, 6.6). Safety outcomes and immunogenicity were similar between the treatment groups at Week 24. Conclusions Among women with HER2+ metastatic breast cancer, the use of HLX02 compared with EU-trastuzumab resulted in an equivalent ORR at Week 24. All secondary efficacy and safety analyses at Week 24 also supported the conclusion of therapeutic equivalence; HLX02 does not demonstrate new safety signals in comparison with EU-trastuzumab.
