The main goal of this paper is the evaluation of the performance of high-speed steel taps when machining grey cast iron at high cutting speeds. It is used for two types of high-speed steel, one with addition of vanadium (HSS-E) obtained by conventional method, classified as AISI M3 and other obtained by powder metallurgy (HSS-PM), classified as AISI M7. These two tool materials are used in two coated situation: with TiN and multilayer TiN-TiNAl. The tests were carried out at two different cutting speeds, 37.5 and 75 m/min. The tool life criteria were based on dimensional tolerances of the threads, on tool wear and also on catastrophic failure of the tool. Analysis in the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and optical microscope were done to determine the type and mechanisms of wear. The results showed that the effect of the cutting speed depends on the coating. The best performance was achieved with the multilayer coating TiN-TiNAl.

Ground-improvement techniques by deep soil vibration have been broadly used in port facilities, aiming to create stable platforms with suitable characteristics for container storage and equipment operation. The Lome Container Terminal is a deep water port located on the western African coastline. Upper frictional soils were found to be inadequate to receive the design imposed loads and therefore vibrocompaction works were carried out to improve soil characteristics. Preliminary field tests, mainly supported by CPT tests, were undertaken to check the feasibility of the preconized ground improvement solution and determine the adequate vibrocompaction execution parameters. The paper describes the design criteria adopted for the vibrocompaction works according to the preliminary field test results undertaken at the site.

This paper addresses the design of robust multiple model adaptive controllers (RMMAC) for linear parameter varying (LPV) systems using bilinear matrix inequalities (BMI). We show a novel method that allows increasing the performance of the RMMAC when the uncertain parameters of the system dynamics are time-varying (TV). We assume that these TV parameters cannot be measured on-line and that the only information available is on the corresponding slope of variation bound and on the admissible range. A comparison between mixed-μ and BMI/LPV controllers is presented and the benefits of this new approach are assessed using a set of Monte-Carlo simulation runs. The decrease of the RMS of the error due to the use of the BMI/LPV controllers serves as an indicator of the performance improvements of this methodology. An increase of 20% in terms of RMS performance is obtained for the case study presented.

This paper proposes a new approach for the selection of a biophysical model describing the haemodynamic response function (HRF) measured in BOLD-fMRI data, based on model falsification techniques. Specifically, the novel method of Multiple Model Set-Valued Observers (MMSVOs) is introduced. The observers consider that the initial state lives in a set, the linear time-varying dynamic system obtained from a bilinear approximation of the nonlinear HRF model about the nominal input signal is uncertain, and the output measurements are corrupted by bounded noise. It is shown, both theoretically and through simulation, that the proposed method is able to successfully distinguish the correct HRF model among a set of physiologically plausible alternatives. Moreover, the feasibility of the technique is demonstrated by its application to an empirical dataset. In summary, the results obtained clearly indicate that the proposed methodology is potentially well-suited to be used in the modeling of BOLD-fMRI data.

Due to their underlying complexity, biomedical systems are typically described by dynamic models with a significant level of uncertainty. Hence, classical control methods cannot be readily applied, as they do not render satisfactory results in terms of performance and even stability. Therefore, this paper proposes a multiple-model adaptive approach to the neuromuscular blockade control problem, based on the recent advances in set-valued observers for model falsification, that explicitly account for unknown parameters in the model. Some of the indistinguishability issues that usually arise in control problems with such levels of model uncertainty are also mentioned, The suggested method outperforms the alternatives in the literature, in terms of reference tracking error and of the number of successful model selections, as illustrated in simulation.

Ships berthed inside sheltered basins can experience excessive movements due to waves. The paper presents an integrated numerical tool that interconnects several numerical models to reproduce the most relevant physical phenomena associated to wave action on a moored ship, the resulting ship movements and the forces on mooring lines and fenders. A new methodology was developed to determine the hydrodynamic forces on the ship.A non-linear phase resolving Boussinesq model is used to propagate waves from outside the harbour to wherever desired location inside the harbour. A modified version of a 3D panel method model computes the hydrodynamic coefficients of the ship, whereas the Haskind relations determine the wave forces on the ship. The time series of the moored ship motions and forces on moorings are obtained with another numerical model. This new methodology is used to replicate the scale model tests of a moored tanker inside Leixões Harbour. (c) 2016 Taylor & Francis Group, London.

Research on wind turbine Operations & Maintenance (O&M) procedures is critical to the expansion of Wind Energy Conversion systems (WEC). In order to reduce O&M costs and increase the lifespan of the turbine, we study the application of Set-Valued Observers (SVO) to the problem of Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) of wind turbines, by taking advantage of the recent advances in SVO theory for model invalidation. A simple wind turbine model is presented along with possible faulty scenarios. The SVO algorithm is built upon these dynamics, taking into account process disturbances, model uncertainty, and measurement noise. The FDI algorithm is assessed within a publicly available benchmark model, using Monte-Carlo simulation runs.

This paper addresses the path-following problem of steering an autonomous airplane along a predefined 3-D path, while performing a coordinated turn maneuver. The presented solution relies on the definition of a path-dependent error space to express the dynamic model of the vehicle, and of an output tracking error that guarantees both path-following and coordinated turn compliance. For controller design purposes, the error dynamics are approximated by a polytopic Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) system representation with piecewise affine dependency on the parameters. The synthesisproblem is stated as an H2 minimization problem with pole placement contraints, and solved using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). The nonlinear controller is implemented within the scope of gainscheduling control theory, using the D-methodology. The performance of the designed controller is assessed in simulation, using the full nonlinear model of a small scale airplane.

Perforated-wall vertical structures are becoming more and more popular, not only as external caisson breakwaters, but also as lower reflective quay walls, in areas where the use of rubble-mound breakwaters and gentle slopes within the harbour basin are unfeasible due to space limitations or physical, economical or technical constraints. This paper presents the preliminary structural and hydraulic design using the Goda method and the physical model testing of a novel concept, the LOWREB structure, carried out to analyse the hydraulic efficiency with respect to reflection for varying wave conditions and structure geometries. This paper addresses the problem of attitude and rate gyro bias estimation using Set-Valued Observers (SVOs). We propose a singularity-free solution that exploits rate gyro measurements and vector observations corrupted by bounded noise providing bounds on the attitude of the rigid body and on the bias of the rate gyros. The sensor readings are fused directly by the SVO, without intermediate attitude computation. By taking advantage of the powerful new multi-core processors it is possible to increase the estimator convergence rate without compromising the execution time. The feasibility of the technique is demonstrated in simulation.

A feasibility study and proof of concept of a new and patented wave energy converter called CECO was performed. This device was designed to absorb both the kinetic and the potential wave energy. The behavior of CECO was analyzed for different wave conditions and operation modes, and two different techniques were used to evaluate the absorbed power. The relative capture widths determined for this not-yet-optimized model are relatively high (up to 30%) and proved that this concept is promising, thus justifying further optimization studies.

A new wave energy converter was designed to absorb simultaneously both the kinetic and thepotential wave energy, and it is being developed at the Hydraulics Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering ofthe University of Porto. The paper presents results obtained in the first and second phase of the experimentalstudy and compares them taking into account the improvements introduced in the model and the techniques usedto evaluate the absorbed power. Test conditions included different sea states and power-take-off damping levels.The analysis is based on CECO response, mean absorbed power and corresponding relative capture widths. Twodifferent techniques were used to evaluate the power absorbed (direct and indirect methods). The potential ofthis new concept was confirmed as relative capture widths of up to 30% were obtained in the second phase ofthe study with a physical model not yet fully optimized.

This paper addresses the autolanding guidance and control problem for unmanned autonomous vehicles (UAV) based on the information provided by the onboard Navigation System. The proposed solution relies on a path-following and velocity profile tracking controller synthesized using an accurate aircraft dynamic model, referred to as SymAirDyn, which was designed with the objective of exploiting the whole aircraft’s flight envelope. A suitable polytopic Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) representation with piecewise affine dependence on the parameters is adopted to accurately model the desired aircraft dynamics over a set of predefined operating regions. The synthesis problem is stated as a continuous-time H2 control problem for LPV systems and solved using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs). During the controller design stage, the aircraft landing maneuver is decomposed in the two standard phases: the glideslope and the flare. For each phase, the required control objectives are identified and specific controllers are designed. The controller implementation is tackled within the framework of gain-scheduling control theory using the D-methodology. The performance and effectiveness of the resulting nonlinear gain scheduling controller is illustrated in simulation, using the nonlinear model SymAirDyn under different types of disturbances, namely Dryden spectrum generated wind during the glideslope and wind gusts near touchdown.

Os dados para a pesquisa foram produzidos em um curso de curta duração, no qual estivemos com alunos da Licenciatura em Matemática da Universidade Estadual Paulista, campus Guaratinguetá. No curso, os participantes foram convidados a realizar tarefas previamente organizadas que envolviam assuntos do conteúdo de Cálculo, tais como limite, derivada e integral, fazendo explorações com o recurso de Realidade Aumentada do aplicativo GeoGebra Calculadora 3D. Gravamos com câmera de vídeo a dinâmica dos oito encontros. Solicitamos que os participantes gravassem os momentos de exploração das tarefas que faziam em seus smartphones. Essas gravações foram transcritas para análise. Em algumas situações, para a clareza do texto, foram inseridos gifs dando mais detalhes das atividades. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em uma perspectiva qualitativa com enfoque fenomenológico, buscando compreender como se mostra a constituição do conhecimento em Cálculo Diferencial e Integral ao se estar-com a Realidade Aumentada? O movimento de análise foi feito seguindo o rigor da pesquisa fenomenológica, em que nos envolvemos com a análise ideográfica e nomotética. Para a análise ideográfica, que visa explicitar as particularidades do compreendido, organizamos os dados em cenas significativas, que nos permitiram manter a dinamicidade da comunicação intersubjetiva. Nas cenas, destacamos ideias significativas, que nos levaram às convergências de significado da análise nomotética, buscando generalidades do que se expôs na experiência vivida. Das sínteses compreensivas, foram constituídas três Categorias Abertas: Investigar assuntos matemáticos como modo de compreensão, em que se discute os modos pelos quais os participantes investigam com Realidade Aumentada, explorando, elaborando conjecturas, validando resultados; O movimento do corpo-próprio que potencializa formas de visualizar assuntos matemáticos, cujo foco de discussão está no movimento do corpo-próprio compreendido como organismo vivo que se dirige para os assuntos que explora, buscando articular sentidos e significados; e Diálogos que comunicam o compreendido para se fazer entender, destacando que é na comunicação que o sentido vai se fazendo para o corpo-próprio, constituindo conhecimento matemático com Realidade Aumentada. Our objective in this research is to understand the ways in which the student's mathematical knowledge is constituted who, with Augmented Reality, explores Differential and Integral Calculus topics. The data for the research were produced in a short course, in which we were with students of the Mathematics Degree at Universidade Estadual Paulista, Guaratinguetá campus. In the course, participants were invited to perform previously organized tasks that involved Calculus content, such as limit, derivative and integral, making explorations with the Augmented Reality feature of the GeoGebra 3D Calculator app. We recorded the dynamics of the eight meetings with a video camera. We asked the participants to record the moments of exploration of the tasks they were doing on their smartphones. These recordings were transcribed for analysis. In some situations, for the clarity of the text, gifs were inserted giving more details of the activities. The research was developed in a qualitative perspective with a phenomenological focus, seeking to understand how the constitution of knowledge in Differential and Integral Calculus is shown when being-with Augmented Reality? The analysis movement was carried out following the rigor of phenomenological research, in which we engaged with ideographic and nomothetic analysis. For the ideographic analysis, which aims to explain the particularities of what is understood, we organized the data into significant scenes, which allowed us to maintain the dynamics of intersubjective communication. In the scenes, we highlight significant ideas, which led us to the convergences of meaning of the nomothetic analysis, seeking generalities of what was exposed in the lived experience. From the comprehensive syntheses, three Open Categories were constituted: Investigating mathematical topics as a way of understanding, in which the ways in which participants investigate with Augmented Reality are discussed, exploring, elaborating conjectures, validating results; The living-body movement that enhances ways of visualizing mathematical topics, whose discussion focus is on the movement of the living-body understood as a living organism that goes towards the topics it explores, seeking to articulate senses and meanings; and Dialogues that communicate what is understood to make itself understood, emphasizing that it is in communication that meaning is made for the living-body, constituting mathematical knowledge with Augmented Reality.

O objetivo, na pesquisa, é compreender os aspectos do fazer matemática do professor que revelam características do pensamento algébrico, entendido como um processo que expressa o pensado quando o professor está com os objetos matemáticos do contexto algébrico voltando-se para eles, resgatando seus elementos característicos produzidos na temporalidade. Para conhecer a região de inquérito da pesquisa, fomos aos autores da Educação Matemática que discutem a formação de professores, analisamos o modo pelo qual as orientações pedagógicas tratam o ensino de álgebra nos anos iniciais e, com o que se mostrou, elaboramos tarefas que pudessem favorecer a discussão sobre esse tema com os professores. Estabelecendo uma parceria entre a Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Câmpus de Guaratinguetá, e a Secretaria Municipal de Educação, propusemos e oferecemos um curso de extensão para os professores dos anos inicias do Ensino Fundamental interessados em discutir conteúdos de matemática trabalhados em sala de aula. As ações no curso foram filmadas e o vídeo transcrito, dando origem à produção de dados da pesquisa. Na análise dos dados, seguindo o rigor da pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem fenomenológica, voltamos nossa atenção para o fazer matemática do professor, considerando seus modos de expressão. O movimento interpretativo permitiu compreender que nos modos de expressar o feito matematicamente e nos modos de explorar os conteúdos matemáticos, os professores revelam características do pensamento algébrico. Essas características são discutidas nessas duas categorias de análise que se evidenciam no movimento interpretativo e, à luz da interrogação da pesquisa, nos permitem expor o modo como compreendemos o investigado This text presents the research developed with teachers who teach mathematics in the early years of Elementary School in the municipal network of Guaratinguetá/SP, involved in tasks related to the mathematical contents treated in the early years, considering them in algebraic contexts. The objective, in the research, is to understand the aspects of the teacher's doing mathematics that reveal characteristics of algebraic thinking, understood as a process that expresses what is thought when the teacher is with the mathematical objects of the algebraic context, turning to them, rescuing their elements. characteristics produced in temporality. In order to know the region of investigation of the research, we went to the authors of Mathematics Education who discuss teacher training, we analyzed the way in which the pedagogical guidelines treat the teaching of algebra in the early years and, with what was shown, we developed tasks that could to encourage discussion on this topic with teachers. Establishing a partnership between the Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), Campus de Guaratinguetá, and the Municipal Department of Education, we proposed and offered an extension course for teachers in the early years of Elementary School interested in discussing mathematics content taught in the classroom. The actions in the course were filmed and the video transcribed, giving rise to the production of research data. In the analysis of the data, following the rigor of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, we turned our attention to the teacher's doing mathematics, considering their modes of expression. The interpretive movement allowed us to understand that in the ways of expressing the deed mathematically and in the ways of exploring mathematical contents, teachers reveal characteristics of algebraic thinking. These characteristics are discussed in these two categories of analysis that are evident in the interpretive movement and, in the light of the research question, allow us to expose the way we understand the investigated.

However, the researches that question this “who does” Mathematical Modeling are still limited. Our research question: Who is this “who” that develops Mathematical Modeling in Basic Education in the State of Paraná? sought to understand, in a phenomenological and hermeneutic perspective, who is this “who” who develops Mathematical Modeling as a subject, being-in-the-world, person, individual and citizen. We emphasize that our search is not just for the specific profiles of these teachers, but for the understanding of what moves these teachers to develop Mathematical Modeling in Basic Education. Directed by the phenomenological way of proceeding, in a movement of going-to-the thing-itself, experiencing how it manifests itself, we were building the path of research. This path was making sense and showing itself to researchers from the complicity between the interrogation, the research methodology, the interrogated and their surroundings. We chose to present our research in the multipaper format, a format that will enable access to the research results not as a part, but as a whole that represents the tread in search of meaning and understanding of this “who”, who develops Modeling. The thesis is composed of three articles that show our path towards what is shown in a phenomenological and hermeneutic movement. The first article exposes the presence of teachers who teach Mathematics in Basic Education at the National Conference on Mathematical Modeling in Mathematics Education, which led us to look at Mathematics teachers from the State education network of Paraná as significant subjects of the research that composes the third article. The second article discusses in a philosophical and hermeneutic way who is this who develops Mathematical Modeling, in a philosophical perspective and opens the understanding of this who as a subject, person, individual and citizen. The third article stems from the field research, which has as significant subjects 27 teachers of Basic Education in the State of Paraná, who teach Mathematics with Modeling. The article discusses who is this who, through the testimony of those who teach Mathematics with Modeling, exposes the five categories that emerged from the analyzes and interpretations of these testimonies, leading us to the understanding that it is the directive force of the formation of this who that leads the teacher to develop Mathematical Modeling. The Atlas.Ti. software was the support tool for the phenomenological analyzes and interpretations performed by the researcher. A Modelagem Matemática, tem chamado a atenção de pesquisadores e de professores que ensinam Matemática em todos os níveis de ensino e isso pode ser visualizado por meio das publicações em eventos e periódicos da área, em temas de teses e dissertações. No entanto, as pesquisas que interrogam este “quem faz” a Modelagem Matemática são, ainda, exíguas. Nossa interrogação de pesquisa: Quem é este “quem” que desenvolve a Modelagem Matemática na Educação Básica do Estado do Paraná? Buscou compreender, em uma perspectiva fenomenológica e hermenêutica, quem é este “quem” que desenvolve Modelagem Matemática enquanto, sujeito, ser-no-mundo, pessoa,indivíduo e cidadão. Salientamos que nossa busca não se dá apenas pelos perfis específicos destes professores, mas pela compreensão daquilo que move esses professores a desenvolverem a Modelagem Matemática na Educação Básica. Direcionados pelo modo fenomenológico de proceder, em um movimento de ir-à-coisa-mesma, vivenciar como ela se manifesta, fomos construindo o caminho da pesquisa. Caminho este que foi fazendo sentido e se mostrando aos pesquisadores a partir da cumplicidade entre a interrogação, a metodologia de pesquisa, o interrogado e seu entorno. Optamos por apresentar nossa pesquisa no formato multipaper, formato que poderá viabilizar o acesso aos resultados da pesquisa não como parte, mas, sim, como um todo que representa o trilhar em busca de sentido e da compreensão deste “quem”, que desenvolve Modelagem. A tese compõe-se de três artigos que evidenciam o nosso caminhar em direção ao que se mostra em um movimento fenomenológico e hermenêutico. O primeiro artigo, expõe como é a presença dos professores que ensinam Matemática da Educação Básica na conferência Nacional sobre Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática que nos direcionou a olhar para os professores de Matemática da rede Estadual de ensino do Paraná como sujeitos significativos da pesquisa que compõe o terceiro artigo. O segundo artigo, discute de modo filosófico e hermenêutico quem é este que desenvolve Modelagem Matemática, numa perspectiva filosófica e abre a compreensão deste quem como sujeito, pessoa, indivíduo e cidadão. O terceiro artigo decorre da pesquisa de campo, que tem como sujeitos significativos 27 professores da Educação Básica do Estado do Paraná, que ensinam Matemática com Modelagem. O artigo discute quem é este quem por meio do depoimento destes que ensinam Matemática com Modelagem, expõe as cinco categorias que emergiram das análises e interpretações destes depoimentos nos conduzindo a compreensão de que é a força diretiva da formação deste quem que leva o professor a desenvolver Modelagem Matemática. Assumindo a pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem fenomenológica, buscamos dialogar com professores tornando-lhes possível expor como, para eles, se constitui esse dar-se conta de tornar-se professor de Matemática. As entrevistas foram realizadas pelo Google Meet (em virtude da pandemia da COVID-19), gravadas e transcritas, tornando-se texto aberto à interpretação. O processo de organização e análise dos dados se deu seguindo os preceitos da pesquisa fenomenológica, isto é, por meio da análise ideográfica, na qual se busca evidenciar as particularidades das falas dos sujeitos, e da análise nomotética, que dá possibilidade de, pela interpretação de sentidos e significados, elaborar convergências que caminham para tornarem-se categorias de análise. Essas categorias expõem regiões de generalidade que, ao serem discutidas, evidenciam a compreensão do fenômeno. Constituímos três categorias: o mostrar-se na afetividade professor e aluno; o mostrar-se do ser professor; e o mostrar-se no como ele (o professor) entende os desafios da profissão. Diante das reflexões acerca da interrogação de pesquisa, vê-se que os sujeitos da pesquisa consideram que somos diariamente convidados a nos permitir sermos professores sem apenas se dispor a ministrar aulas, mas capaz de ser sensível ao outro, capaz de ver os alunos como pessoas que têm ideias, sentimentos, emoções, dúvidas, incertezas e que, por vezes, carecem de atenção e auxílio. Somos convidados, também, a não apenas lidar com os conteúdos curriculares, mas se envolver com questões relativas à própria vida, compreendendo que o dar-se conta de ser professor não acontece num instante, no agora, vai se dando na vivência profissional. Abrindo-se à compreensão do outro, que também é parte do seu ser em comunidade, à transformação da sociedade, aos avanços tecnológicos, às mudanças que são requeridas em sua forma de ensinar, o professor vai entendendo o seu papel na formação da pessoa humana. Assim, o professor constrói, ao longo de sua carreira, um modo próprio de lidar com os conteúdos que ensina, com as turmas com as quais trabalha, com seus colegas de profissão, com a família, com os desafios, ou seja, ele busca modos de lidar com essas situações e, ao fazer isso, vai se dando conta do seu ser professor que se evidencia na abertura ao ouvir, na autonomia que delega aos seus alunos e na dedicação que entende ser importante ao desempenho da profissão. In this master's research we present the investigation of the realizational trajectory of becoming a Mathematics teacher, as experienced by Brazilian Basic Education teachers (who work in grades equivalent to middle and high school) who possess at least two years of classroom work experience. Taking on a phenomenological qualitative approach, we sought to converse with these teachers, making it possible the exposition of the way that, for them, it is constituted the realization of becoming a Mathematics teacher. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the interviews were conducted on the Google Meet platform, which were recorded and then transcribed, turning them into a text open to interpretation. The data organization and analysis process was carried out according to the precepts of the phenomenological research, that are the ideographic – which seeks to highlight particularities of the subjects’ speeches – and the nomothetic analyses - which allows us to establish convergences between different speeches through the interpretation of meanings that move towards the analysis categories. These categories expose the regions of generality that, when discussed, reveal the understanding of the phenomenon. In this paper we constituted three categories: the showing of oneself in teacher and student affectivity; the showing of being a teacher; and the showing of how they (the teacher) understand the challenges of their profession. In sight of the reflections over the research interrogation, it is seen that the research subjects understand that, by working in this profession, we are daily invited to allow ourselves to be teachers, not just in the sense of being willing to teach classes, but of being capable of being sensitive to the other, of seeing students as people who have ideas, feelings, emotions, doubts, uncertainties and who sometimes lack attention and support. We are also invited not only to deal with curricular contents, but to get involved in issues related to students’ own lives, which allows us to understand that the realization of becoming a teacher does not happen in an instant, in the now, but rather it takes place along the professional experience. As one opens oneself to the understanding of the other (who is also part of their being in a community), to the transformations of society, to the technological advances, to the changes that are required in their way of teaching, the teacher begins to understand their role in the formation of the human person. Thus, they build throughout their career their own way of dealing with the classes they teach, the students they work with, their professional colleagues, their students’ families, the challenges and, in this sense, they seek ways of dealing with different situations and by doing so they become aware (they realize) of their being a teacher. This is evident in their openness to listening, the autonomy they delegate to their students and their dedication, that they understand to be important for the performance of their profession. Para a produção dos dados, um grupo de formação foi constituído com três professores de matemática de uma escola de Tempo Integral da rede pública estadual, vinculada à Diretoria de Ensino do Município de Guaratinguetá, São Paulo. Para a condução das ações junto ao grupo, orientamo-nos por uma prática de formação nomeada de estudo de aula, articulando-a à concepção fenomenológica da forma/ação. Durante o período de um ano e meio (início do 2º semestre de 2018 ao final do 2º semestre de 2019), reunimo-nos com o grupo para estudar práticas de ensino em uma perspectiva de exploração e investigação matemática com uma tecnologia eleita pelo grupo, o software GeoGebra. Nesses encontros foram planejadas aulas com seis temas diferentes. Após o planejamento, as aulas foram ministradas por um membro do grupo e acompanhadas pelos demais professores e pela pesquisadora. As aulas foram filmadas para a elaboração de vídeos com recortes de situações que possibilitavam discutir as ações dos alunos. Esses vídeos foram assistidos pelos professores para que pudessem analisar a experiência vivida. As discussões dos encontros em que os professores definiram os temas, planejaram e analisaram as aulas foram filmadas e transcritas, constituindo-se na descrição da experiência vivida, um texto que se abriu à análise e à interpretação da pesquisadora. Assumindo a postura fenomenológica na condução da pesquisa, o fenômeno perceber-se sendo professor com tecnologia pôde ser compreendido segundo a atenção (dada) ao fazer do aluno e a mudança de postura do professor, as categorias de análise evidenciadas no movimento interpretativo. Na discussão das categorias mostra-se que, atento ao fazer do aluno, o professor se volta para o movimento do corpo com a tecnologia e se abre, pela empatia, à escuta do que “dizem” seus gestos, falas, escrita, modos diversos de expressão. Nessa escuta compreende como o aluno atribui significado ao que vê na tela do computador e identifica possibilidades para mobilizar ações de ensino. A mudança de postura do professor se mostra no movimento de aprender e de ensinar. Querendo aprender para ensinar, o professor se dá conta de que as práticas que vinha realizando com a tecnologia não favoreciam a constituição de conhecimento do aluno. Voltando-se para a experiência vivida ao ensinar, identifica atitudes que não contribuem para a constituição de conhecimento do aluno e, ao se dar conta de si, busca construir modos de ser professor com tecnologia. This research aims to investigate how the mathematics teacher perceives himself as a teacher with technology. To produce the research data, a formation group was formed with three mathematics teachers from a full-time public school, linked to the Education Board from the city of Guaratinguetá, in São Paulo state. In order to carry out actions with the group, we were guided by a formation practice called lesson study, articulating it to the phenomenological conception of form/action. During the period of a year and a half (from the beginning of the 2nd semester of 2018 to the end of the 2nd semester of 2019), we met with the group to study teaching practices in a mathematical exploration and investigation perspective with a technology, the GeoGebra software. In these meetings, classes with six different themes were planned. After planning, the classes were taught by a member of the group and accompanied by the other professors and the researcher. The classes were filmed to prepare videos with clippings of situations that made it possible to discuss the students' actions. These videos were watched by the teachers so that they could analyze the lived experience. The discussions of the meetings in which the teachers defined the themes, planned and analyzed the classes were filmed and transcribed, constituting in the lived experience description, a text that was open to the researcher's analysis and interpretation. Assuming the phenomenological posture in conducting the research, the phenomenon perceiving oneself as a teacher with technology could be understood according to the attention (given) to the student's actions and in the teacher's change of posture, the categories of analysis evidenced in the interpretive movement. In the discussion of the categories, it is shown that, attentive to the student's actions, the teacher turns to the movement of the body with technology and is open, through empathy, to listening to what "say" their gestures, speech, writing, diverse modes of expression. In this listening, he understands how the student attributes meaning to what he sees on the computer screen and identifies possibilities to mobilize teaching actions. The change in the teacher's posture is shown in the movement of learning and teaching. Wanting to learn in order to teach, the teacher realizes that the practices he had been carrying out with technology did not support the constitution of student knowledge. Turning to the experience lived while teaching, he identifies attitudes that do not contribute to the constitution of student knowledge and, when realizing himself, he seeks to build ways of being a teacher with technology.

This approach is an intentional act and intertwined with the lived experience of the subject who experienced the interpretation. This brings to the research characteristics of Phenomenology and Hermeneutics, and from that position, we question: what is this; Mathematical Investigation in Mathematics Education? Searching for ways to face the theme, we highlight twelve academic works that have shown themselves significant in the field of Mathematical Inquiry in Mathematics Education, which we built the data with. With the hermeneutic-phenomenological movement accomplished, the Mathematical Investigation in Mathematics Education can be comprehended in two convergence regions that expressed it as a way to do Mathematics and as a way of teaching Mathematics. As a way of doing Mathematics, it values conjectures, tests, generalizations, and demonstrations as its modus operandi; and, as a Mathematics teaching method, it idealizes to the class the scientific experience of knowledge production in Mathematic, forging the making of the student and of the teachers to an imitating, an acting as the mathematician. The comprehension hermeneutically opened itself to a way of teaching Mathematics that underlies the everyday impersonality of Mathematical epistemology of the doing Mathematics of the Mathematician, valuing them. Besides, though, in principle, the Mathematical Investigation in Mathematics Education has been shown pretentiously open, there is the possibility of incurring in the closing of the investigative process upon attributing the opening characteristic exclusively to the initial situations and on presupposing an only making method. This implies the permanence of students and of teachers in a making that does not allow them to dare, in the genuine meaning of the word, to make Mathematics, which places in decline their authentic methods of being investigative individuals on being-with the Mathematics Investigation in Mathematics Education. Nesta tese, nos voltamos para a Investigação Matemática buscando compreendê-la no contexto da Educação Matemática. Esse voltar-se é um ato intencional e entrelaçado com a experiência vivida do sujeito que experienciou a interpretação. Isso traz para essa pesquisa características da Fenomenologia e da Hermenêutica e dessa postura interrogamos: o que é isto; a Investigação Matemática na Educação Matemática? Para tanto, enfocamos doze obras acadêmicas que se mostraram significativas no campo da Investigação Matemática na Educação Matemática, com as quais construímos os dados. Com o movimento fenomenológico-hermenêutico efetuado, a Investigação Matemática na Educação Matemática pôde ser compreendida em duas regiões de convergências que a expressaram como um modo de fazer Matemática e como um modo de ensinar Matemática. Enquanto um modo de fazer Matemática, valoriza as conjecturas, os testes, as generalizações e as demonstrações como seu modus operandi; e, enquanto um modo de ensinar Matemática, idealiza para a sala de aula a experiência científica da produção do conhecimento em Matemática, concebendo o fazer dos alunos e dos professores como um imitar, um agir como o matemático. Hermeneuticamente a compreensão se abriu para um modo de ensinar Matemática que subjaz a impessoalidade cotidiana da epistemologia do fazer Matemática do matemático, valorizando-o. Além disso, ainda que, em princípio, a Investigação Matemática na Educação Matemática tenha se mostrado pretensamente aberta, há a possibilidade de incorrer no fechamento do processo investigativo ao atribuir a característica de abertura somente às situações iniciais e ao pressupor um único modo fazedor. Isso implica na permanência dos alunos e dos professores em um fazer que não lhes permite atrever-se, no sentido genuíno da palavra, a fazer Matemática, o que coloca em suspeita os seus modos autênticos de serem sujeitos investigadores ao estarem-com a Investigação Matemática na Educação Matemática.

Since then, Brazilian researchers have dedicated themselves to studies related to Modeling. In the context of Basic Education, researches have pointed out its timid presence in schools. From the immersion in this region of inquiry, the presence of actions and indications for the insertion of modeling in schools stood out, leading us to a research question under a phenomenological view: what do the actions and indications of the Modeling community reveal about its effectiveness in Basic Education? Guided by this question, we direct our gaze to the proceedings of the 10th National Conference on Modeling in Mathematics Education (CNMEM). One hundred texts were analyzed, including scientific communications and experience reports. These were analyzed in their entirety and read repeatedly to establish the units of meaning and convergences that culminated in open categories. From the hermeneutics undertaken, it was revealed the existence of actions carried out by the Modeling community that focus almost entirely on formations that take Modeling as the main foundation and formative principle. In addition, many of the actions and indications proved to be innocuous, since they are centered on what they deny: the transmission of content, playing a theoretical game, without considering aspects inherent to the teacher who adopts the Modeling and to the phenomenon: "Modeling in School". Há quatro décadas, a Modelagem Matemática vem se fortalecendo no contexto brasileiro, enquanto área de pesquisa e tendência da Educação Matemática. Desde então, pesquisadores brasileiros dedicam-se a estudos relacionados à Modelagem. No contexto da Educação Básica, pesquisas têm apontado a sua tímida presença nas escolas. Da imersão nesta região de inquérito, destacou-se a presença de ações e indicativos para a inserção da modelagem nas escolas, levando-nos à interrogação de pesquisa, sob uma visão fenomenológica: o que revelam as ações e indicativos da comunidade de Modelagem para a sua efetivação na Educação Básica? Orientados pela interrogação, direcionamos nosso olhar para os anais da X Conferência Nacional sobre Modelagem na Educação Matemática (CNMEM). Foram analisados 100 textos, entre comunicações científicas e relatos de experiência. Estes foram analisados integralmente e lidos repetidas vezes para a constituição das unidades de significado e convergências que culminaram nas categorias abertas. Da hermenêutica empreendida, revelou-se a existência de ações realizadas pela comunidade de Modelagem que se concentram, quase em sua totalidade, em formações que tomam a Modelagem como principal fundamento e princípio formativo. Além disso, muitas das ações e indicativos se mostraram inócuos, uma vez que estão centrados naquilo que negam: a transmissão de conteúdos, fazendo um jogo teórico, sem levar em consideração aspectos inerentes ao professor que adota a Modelagem e ao fenômeno: “Modelagem na Escola”.

Although it is recurrent, these mentions have been predominantly focused on the procedures, and discussions that seek to understand the meaning of adoption for the teacher are not explicit. Considering the absence of studies in this direction, attested by the literature review presented in this thesis, organized in the Multipaper format, we ask: what is this, adoption of Mathematical Modeling for teachers inserted in a context of continuing education? Guided by this question, assumed from the phenomenological perspective of research, we sought to interview 25 basic education teachers who participate in the Continuing Education of Teachers in Mathematical Modeling in Mathematical Education, in the municipalities of Cascavel, Francisco Beltrão, Foz do Iguaçu and Tupãssi, in the state of Paraná. The careful analysis of the text of the transcription of the interviews, optimized with the help of the Atlas ti software, allowed us to establish 1018 units of meaning. These units, when exhaustively considered, evidenced convergences that led to the constitution of five nuclei of ideas. Their analysis revealed, under a mode of manifestation implicit to the said by the teachers, that adopting modeling means inhabiting its place, which includes placing ones in a condition of closeness that allows us to feel it close to one another. This movement, which ultimately stems from the teacher's decision, is sometimes gradual and not conditioned to a specific periodicity of development of modeling activities. It involves seeking for proper ways of doing and being with Modeling that, although they are particular to each teacher, are not lonely, since teachers are in the world with them-others. O termo adoção da Modelagem tem sido com frequência mencionado na literatura produzida no âmbito da Educação Matemática. Ainda que sejam frequentes, essas menções têm se mostrado, predominantemente, voltadas para os procedimentos, não sendo explicitadas discussões que busquem entender o sentido da adoção para aquele que a adota, o professor. Considerando a ausência de estudos nessa direção, atestada pela revisão de literatura apresentada nessa tese, organizada no formato Multipaper, interrogamos: o que é isto, adoção da Modelagem Matemática para professores inseridos em um contexto de formação continuada? Orientados por essa interrogação, assumida na perspectiva fenomenológica de investigação, buscamos entrevistar 25 professores da Educação Básica que participam da Formação Continuada de Professores em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática, nos municípios de Cascavel, Francisco Beltrão, Foz do Iguaçu e Tupãssi, no estado do Paraná. A análise cuidadosa do texto da transcrição das entrevistas, otimizada com o auxílio do software Atlas ti, permitiu-nos estabelecer unidades de significado. Essas unidades, quando exaustivamente consideradas, evidenciaram convergências que levaram a constituição de cinco núcleos de ideias. A análise deles revelou, sob um modo de manifestação implícito ao que se mostrou do dito pelos professores, que adotar a Modelagem significa habitar o seu lugar, o que compreende colocar-se em uma condição de proximidade que permita senti-la perto de si. Esse movimento que, em última instância, advém da decisão do professor, mostra-se, por vezes, paulatino e, não condicionado a uma periodicidade específica de desenvolvimento de atividades de Modelagem. Ele envolve buscar por modos próprios de fazer e de ser com a Modelagem que, embora sejam particulares a cada professor, não são solitários, uma vez que a convivência com os colegas que buscam fazer Modelagem, parece não apenas privilegiar comportamentos, mas, influenciar no estado de ânimo daquele que é tocado fundo por ela.

Para tanto, propusemos e realizamos um curso de extensão para professores da rede pública estadual paulista, vinculados à Diretoria de Ensino de Guaratinguetá. Como critério para a participação no curso considerou-se que o professor tivesse conhecimento prévio do software, uma vez que nossa intenção era discutir ações para o ensino com o GeoGebra e não suas ferramentas. As situações vivenciadas com os professores no curso presencial é, portanto, o cenário no qual os dados foram produzidos para esta tese. A questão como se dá o movimento de produção de conhecimento para ensinar com tecnologias?, orientou a pesquisa, desenvolvida segundo a postura fenomenológica. Perspectivas teóricas relativas à produção de conhecimento, à forma/ação de professores, ao trabalho com tecnologias que considere o ser-com e as dimensões da Cyberformação foram tomadas como referenciais teóricos. Nos encontros com os professores desenvolvemos atividades com o GeoGebra e dialogamos sobre elas com recortes das aulas que eles desenvolveram com seus alunos e foram filmadas. Essas discussões no grupo foram gravadas em vídeo e transcritas, constituindo-se nos dados para análise. Na análise foi possível discutir a constituição dos modos de ensinar Matemática com tecnologias, mostrando o porquê e para que ensinar nesse ambiente e a abertura para com-partilhar expondo a importância de estar nesse ambiente de grupo, ouvindo o outro, compartilhando dúvidas e compreensões, ocupando-se em cuidar para que o colega de grupo e o aluno entendessem o que estava sendo exposto. Defendemos a relevância de estar com os professores de forma contínua para que eles se mantenham em um processo formativo e se sintam confiantes para abrirem-se às possibilidades de ensinar Matemática com tecnologias. In this thesis, we had as goal to understand how the knowledge production movement of the mathematics teacher shows itself to teach with Technologies, most specifically with the GeoGebra Software. To reach this goal, we proposed and did and extension course to the teachers of the public São Paulo State network, filiated with the Board of Education of Guaratinguetá. As enrollment criteria for the teachers, previous knowledge of the software was considered, once the intention was to discuss teaching actions with the GeoGebra, not its tools. The situations lived with the teachers during the course is the scenario where the data was produced to this thesis. The question “how the knowledge production movement to teach with Technologies happens?”, guided the research, developed accordingly with the phenomenological posture. Theorical perspectives related to the knowledge production, teachers’ formation, to the work with Technologies that consider the be-with and the Cyberformation dimensions was taken as theoretical references. In the meetings with the teachers we developed activities in the GeoGebra and dialoged about these activities with the software and about some of the slices of the classes that they developed with their students and were recorded. These group discussions were videotaped and transcribed, constituting the data for analysis. In the analysis was possible to discuss the constitution of the ways of teaching mathematics with technologies, showing why to teach in this group environment, listening to the others, sharing doubts and comprehensions, making sure that the colleagues and students were understanding. We defend the relevance of being with the teachers in a continuous way to keep them in a formation process and to make them feel confident to open themselves for the possibilities of teaching Math with technologies. Para tanto, consideramos o compreendido nas leituras de Charles Sanders Peirce (1839 – 1914) acerca desse tipo de raciocínio e, norteados pela postura fenomenológica, em um movimento hermenêutico, apresentamos o significado da Abdução como um modo de pensar do matemático, ou seja, como abertura de possibilidade à investigação. Partimos, portanto, da análise das ideias explicitadas pelos filósofos Peirce e Gadamer (1900–2002) para compreender o raciocínio Abdutivo e a hermenêutica, respectivamente. Entrevistamos um matemático do Instituto de Matemática e Estatística da Universidade de São Paulo – IME-USP. A entrevista nos permitiu um diálogo em torno do seu fazer matemático e, ao analisar o depoimento, identificamos aspectos relacionados ao raciocínio abdutivo que se destacaram em seu modo de fazer matemática e o que é a produção de conhecimento. Nesse sentido entendemos a necessidade de discutir o que é o pensar para Heidegger (1889 – 1976) a fim de compreendermos o que se mostrou durante a entrevista. Tratando-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de abordagem fenomenológica, sua relevância está na exposição de compreensões sobre a produção do conhecimento matemático, evidenciando a expressão do pensar que, no diálogo com o outro, abre-se revelando modos de compreender a produção matemática. This paper investigated how abductive reasoning is shown in the production of mathematical knowledge. Therefore, we consider the comprehension in Charles Sanders Peirce (1839 - 1914) readings about this kind of reasoning and, guided by the phenomenological posture, in a hermeneutic movement, we present the meaning of Abduction as a way of thinking of the mathematician, that is, as an opening of possibility to research. Therefore, we start with the analysis of explicit ideas by philosophers Peirce and Gadamer (1900 - 2002) to understand abductive reasoning and hermeneutics, respectively. We interviewed a mathematician, from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo - IME-USP, talking about his work and, analyzing the interview we identified aspects related to the abductive reasoning that stood out in his way of doing mathematics and what is the production of knowledge. We discussed thinking in Heidegger (1889 - 1976) to understand what was shown during the interview. Being a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, its relevance is in the exposition of understandings about the production of mathematical knowledge, highlighting the expression of thinking that, in dialogue with the other, opens revealing ways of understanding mathematical production.

We realize that there is still a lack of research on the ways teachers perform the practice with Mathematical Modeling in classroom. In our literature review we found investigations that focused on studying groups of teachers in a continuing education environment in Mathematical Modeling. However, we did not find investigations conducted by teachers about there own practice with Mathematical Modeling in a Mathematical Modeling formation group context. In order to contribute to researches regarding teachers training in Mathematical Modeling we took part in the Continuing Education Group for Teachers in Mathematical Modeling in Mathematical Education. Our investigation is guided by the interrogation: How being-with-the-group influences on my practice? While dealing with it, we seek to make explicit the movements of the formation that had not yet been thematized within the formation group itself. Assuming a phenomenological stance of qualitative approach to carry out the investigation, we turn our attention to the importance of the formation group for the movement of changing practice of the teacher/researcher. The materials collected in the form of audio recordings and written texts made by the teacher/researcher about the meetings with the formation group and about the practices implemented in the classroom constituted the research data. In the meetings with the formation group we were aware of the moments of theoretical studies, elaboration and implementation of Modeling practices by the teachers of the training group and the discussions about the practices implemented by the teacher/researcher. In classroom, we focused on the implementations of Modeling practices in an intentional movement of a practice’s change. At first, the data were transcribed to highlight the units of meaning that were convergent to our questioned phenomenon. We used the qualitative analysis software Atlas.ti to highlight the meaning units. Afterwards, the units of meaning were organized on a spreadsheet in five open categories. That are: 1) How to accept and incorporate Modeling in its practice; 2) How to see yourself as a teacher with or without Modeling; 3) How to elaborate; choose and plan the practice with Modeling; 4) How to proceed with Modeling; 5) How to see Modeling. The interpretations of the open categories showed, among other things, a movement of change in the pedagogical practice of the teacher inserted in a Mathematical Modeling formation group. Belonging to the formation group provided the opportunity for the teacher/researcher to approach Mathematical Modeling in its theoretical and practical aspects. The teacher’s understanding about the Modeling work in classroom revealed that it is permeated by obstacles to be overcome gradually. The experiences shared with the teachers belonging to the formation group served as a reference so that the teacher/researcher could reflect about her methods to be a teacher with Modeling and or without it, establishing new perspectives to her professional formation. Las investigaciones sobre Modelación Matemática en la Educación Matemática se han expandido y gran parte de ellas demuestra interés en la formación de profesores en Modelación Matemática. Nos damos cuenta que todavía hay una falta de investigación sobre los modos como los profesores realizan sus prácticas con Modelación Matemática en el aula. En nuestra revisión de literatura encontramos investigaciones que se dedicaron a estudiar grupos de profesores en un entorno de formación continuada en Modelación Matemática. Sin embargo, no encontramos investigaciones realizadas por profesores sobre su propia práctica con Modelación Matemática en un contexto de grupo de formación en Modelación Matemática. Con el fin de contribuir con las investigaciones sobre la formación de profesores en Modelación Matemática nos unimos al grupo de Formación Continuada de Profesores en Modelación Matemática en la Educación Matemática. Nuestra investigación se movió la luz de la indagación: “¿Cómo el estar-con-el-grupo afecta sobre mi práctica?” buscando aclarar movimientos de la formación que aún no habían sido tematizados en el interior del propio grupo de formación. Asumiendo una postura fenomenológica de abordaje cualitativa para llevar a cabo la investigación, centramos nuestra atención en la importancia del grupo de formación para el movimiento de cambio de práctica de la profesora/investigadora. Los materiales recolectados en forma de grabaciones de audio y registros sobre los encuentros con el grupo de formación y sobre prácticas implementadas en el aula, sirvieron como datos para componer la investigación. En los encuentros con el grupo, estuvimos atentos a los momentos de estudios teóricos, elaboración y implementación de prácticas con Modelación por los profesores del grupo de formación y las discusiones sobre las prácticas implementadas por la profesora/investigadora. En el aula, dirigimos nuestra atención para las implementaciones de prácticas con Modelación en un movimiento intencional de cambio de práctica. Al principio, transcribimos los datos y destacamos las unidades de significado que decían del fenómeno cuestionado. Para los destaques de las unidades utilizamos el uso del software de análisis cuantitativa Atlas. ti. Posteriormente, las unidades de significado se organizaron en una plantilla para que pudiéramos establecer las convergencias y organizarlas en cinco categorías abiertas. Estas son: 1) Modo de aceptar e incorporar la Modelación en su práctica; 2) Manera de verte como profesora con o sin Modelación; 3) Cómo elaborar, elegir y planear la práctica con Modelación; 4) Maneras de proceder con la Modelación; 5) Forma de ver la Modelación. Las interpretaciones de las categorías abiertas evidenciaron, entre otras cosas, un movimiento de cambio de práctica pedagógica por la profesora insertado en un grupo de formación en Modelación Matemática. La pertenencia al grupo de formación le permitió a la profesora la aproximación con la Modelación Matemática en sus aspectos teóricos y prácticos. Las comprensiones de la profesora/investigadora sobre el trabajo con Modelación en el aula revelaron que está impregnado por obstáculos que se deben superarse gradualmente. Las experiencias compartidas con los profesores que pertenecen al grupo de formación sirvieron de referencia para que la profesora/investigadora reflexionara sobre su manera de ser profesora con y sin Modelación, estableciendo nuevas perspectivas para su formación profesional. As pesquisas sobre Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática vêm se expandindo e grande parte delas demonstra interesses voltados à formação de professores em Modelagem Matemática. Percebemos que ainda há uma carência de investigações sobre os modos como os professores realizam suas práticas com Modelagem Matemática em sala de aula. Em nossa revisão de literatura encontramos investigações que se dedicaram a estudar grupos de professores em um ambiente de formação continuada em Modelagem Matemática. Porém, não encontramos investigações realizadas por professores sobre sua própria prática com Modelagem Matemática em um contexto de grupo de formação em Modelagem Matemática. Com o intuito de contribuir com as pesquisas no que concerne à formação de professores em Modelagem Matemática passamos a fazer parte do grupo de Formação Continuada de Professores em Modelagem Matemática na Educação Matemática. Nossa investigação é orientada pela interrogação: “Como o estar-com-o-grupo incide sobre a minha prática?”. Ao tratá-la, buscamos tornar explícito os movimentos da formação que ainda não haviam sido tematizados no interior do próprio grupo de formação. Assumindo uma postura fenomenológica de abordagem qualitativa para realizarmos a investigação, direcionamos nosso olhar para a importância do grupo de formação para o movimento de mudança de prática da professora/pesquisadora. Os materiais coletados sob a forma de gravações de áudios e registros por escrito feitos pela professora/pesquisadora sobre os encontros com o grupo de formação e sobre as práticas implementadas em sala de aula constituíram os dados da pesquisa. Nos encontros com o grupo de formação ficamos atentos aos momentos de estudos teóricos, elaboração e implementação de práticas com Modelagem pelos professores do grupo de formação e as discussões sobre as práticas implementadas pela professora/pesquisadora. Em sala de aula, nos atentamos para as implementações de práticas com Modelagem num movimento intencional de mudança de prática. A princípio, transcrevemos os dados e destacamos as unidades de significado que diziam do fenômeno interrogado. Para os destaques das unidades fizemos uso do software de análise qualitativa Atlas. ti. Posteriormente organizamos as unidades de significado em uma planilha eletrônica para então estabelecermos as convergências e organizá-las em cinco categorias abertas. São elas: 1) Modo de aceitar e incorporar a Modelagem em sua prática; 2) Modo de se ver como professora com ou sem Modelagem; 3) Modos de elaborar, escolher e planejar a prática com Modelagem; 4) Modos de proceder com a Modelagem; 5) Modo de ver a Modelagem. As interpretações das categorias abertas evidenciaram, entre outras coisas, um movimento de mudança de prática pedagógica pela professora inserida em um grupo de formação em Modelagem Matemática. O pertencimento ao grupo de formação oportunizou a aproximação da professora/pesquisadora com a Modelagem Matemática nos seus aspectos teóricos e práticos. As compreensões da professora sobre o trabalho com Modelagem em sala de aula revelaram que este é permeado por obstáculos a serem superados gradativamente. As experiências compartilhadas com os professores pertencentes ao grupo de formação serviram como referência para que a professora/pesquisadora pudesse refletir sobre seu modo de ser professora com Modelagem e sem ela, estabelecendo novas perspectivas para a sua formação profissional.

Para dar conta desse desejo de querer saber interrogamos “como o matemático que produz matemática com o computador expressa o modo pelo qual compreende a presença dessa tecnologia em sua produção?”. O interrogar, em uma postura fenomenológica, possibilitou compreender a constituição e a produção do conhecimento matemático com o computador, como ela é vista pelo matemático da área pura ou aplicada. Para expor o compreendido apresentamos, neste texto, a região de inquérito da pesquisa dizendo do significado das Tecnologias Digitais, do ser-com-as-Tecnologias-Digitais, da produção do conhecimento, do ser-com-o-computador e da produção do conhecimento quando se está com o computador. Partindo de autores como Borba e Villareal, que criaram o constructo teórico seres-humanos-com-mídias, pudemos, em uma perspectiva fenomenológica, destacar a vivência da pessoa que produz conhecimento com o computador. Esse destaque é feito ouvindo o matemático da área pura ou aplicada que, no diálogo, expõe o modo pelo qual vê sua produção com o computador. Orientados pela postura fenomenológica interpretamos a fala dos sujeitos e apresentamos três categorias abertas que nos possibilitam falar do fenômeno investigado. Essas categorias são: O pensar matemático ao ser-com o computador em que se discute a importância do pensar matemático e do conhecimento do conteúdo matemático pelo matemático; os Modos de investigação na produção com o computador, abrindo as possibilidades de o matemático, ao constituir conhecimento com tecnologias, levantar hipóteses, validar conjecturas, fazer simulações, comparar resultados, sugerir encaminhamento de ação que favorece o avanço na pesquisa e dá abertura à novos conhecimentos; e a categoria O computador como potência para a produção matemática e expressão explicitando características dos software com os quais a produção se torna possível, contribuindo para que o matemático comunique dados abstratos e os resultados obtidos. The potential of Digital Technologies (TD) for the production of knowledge has been the subject of research in different areas of knowledge; make us interested and makes possible the research of doctorate explicit in this text, whose objective is the constitution and the production of the mathematical knowledge of the subject when he is with the computer. To advance the research we ask: "how does the mathematician who produces mathematics with the TD express the way in which he understands the presence of these technologies in his production?". The interrogation, in a phenomenological posture, made it possible to understand the constitution and production of mathematical knowledge with the computer as it is understood by the pure or applied area mathematician. In this text we present, to say of the investigated the meaning of Digital Technologies, of being-with-Digital Technologies, of the production of knowledge, of being-with-the-computer and of the production of when you have the computer. Starting with authors such as Borba and Villareal, who created the theoretical human-media construct, we emphasize, in a phenomenological perspective, to highlight the experience of the person who produces knowledge with the computer. This distinction is made by listening to the mathematician, from the pure or applied area, who in the dialogue exposes the way in which he sees his production with the Digital Technologies.
