To account for the influence of winglet's arrangement length and installing position along the longitudinal direction of bridge deck, as well as actuators quantities on flutter control effect, a three-dimensional model of deck-winglet system was been derived in state space domain, and a model reduction method was also discussed to enhance control efficiency. Then, a suspension bridge with a main span of 3 000 m was used to investigate the control effect of active winglets, and to explore the influence of winglet length and actuator quantity on flutter control effect. Finally, the flutter and buffeting performance of winglet itself was investigated. The simulation results shows that the modes involved in flutter analysis should be determined according to mode-energy participation ratio. When installing a pair of winglets whose width is 10% of bridge deck, the critical wind speed of bridge deck may be twice of a non-controlled condition. In addition, the critical wind speed increases by increasing the length of winglets and actuator quantity. However, the critical wind speed may remain constant once the winglet length and actuator quantity exceed a critical value. By ensuring the critical wind speed of winglet itself is higher than bridge deck, winglet's width should be less than 10% of bridge deck's width, and the independent length winglet is proposed to be shorter than 15% of the length of center span of bridge deck. Global search on small hydrated zinc(II) clusters [Zn2+(H2O)n (n = 1–8)] is executed based on comprehensive genetic algorithm with density functional theory. The subsequent high level ab initio calculation provides accurate structures, energies and spectroscopic properties of the clusters. For n ≤ 6, all the water molecules are coordinated waters in global minima, while two five-coordinated structures possesses the lowest energies for n = 7 and 8 at 0 K. Besides, the four-coordinated structures could equally populate with the global minima above room temperature for n = 5 and 6. Furthermore, the infrared (IR) spectra with anharmonic correction could reproduce the experimental spectra quite well, and effectively discriminate the isomers in experiment, which might be selected by the energetic driving of water-loss reaction. In this paper, a new iron-carbon micro-electrolytic filler for wastewater treatment was prepared using the blast furnace dust. The effects of preparation conditions on the performance of the filler during the wastewater treatment were investigated. The optimal preparation conditions of the filler were obtained, which provided an experimental theoretical basis for the use of metallurgical dust sludge in the preparation of micro-electrolytic fillers. From the results of treating methyl orange-simulated wastewater with fillers of different preparation conditions, it could be obtained that the improvement of the filler processing performance requires a suitable iron to carbon ratio, sintering time, and sintering temperature. The optimum preparation conditions were a 1:2 iron-carbon ratio, 30 min sintering time, and 1100 °C sintering temperature. The effect of treatment conditions on the performance of the iron-carbon micro-electrolytic filler was also investigated. The results showed that increasing the filler addition, increasing the treatment temperature, and decreasing the initial pH could effectively improve the treatment efficiency of the filler for methyl orange-simulated wastewater. More than 99% of the methyl orange could be removed in the wastewater under the conditions of 5 g of filler, 40 °C, and pH = 3. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The ultrashort-term wind power prediction (USTWPP) technology assists the grid to arrange spare capacity, which is important to optimize power investment reasonably. To improve the accuracy of USTWPP and optimize power investment requirements, a USTWPP method with dynamic switching of multiple models is proposed. For high wind speed fluctuation samples, the wind speed-power curve (WSPC) is fitted in a large sample of historical data, and the corrected wind speed is the input of WSPC. The spatiotemporal attentive network model (STAN) is built for the prediction of low wind speed fluctuation samples. According to the real-time fluctuation characteristics of the correction wind speed, a switching mechanism between multiple models is established to reconstruct the prediction results along the time axis direction, and the predicted power is set to zero for the samples whose correction wind speed is lower than the cut-in wind speed. We conducted simulation experiments with data provided by a wind farm with an installed capacity of 130.5 MW in China. The normalized root mean square error (NRMSE) for the 4 h ahead predicted power reaches 0.0907, which verified the validity and applicability of the proposed model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC) are the most common type of head and neck cancer with an unimproved prognosis over the past decades. Although the role of cancer‐associated‐fibroblast (CAF) has been demonstrated in HNSCC, the correlation between CAF‐derived gene expression and patient prognosis remains unknown. Methods: A total of 528 patients from TCGA database and 270 patients from GSE65858 database were contained in this study. After extracting 66 CAF‐related gene expression data from TCGA database, consensus clustering was performed to identify different HNSCC subtypes. Limma package was used to distinguish the differentially expression genes (DEGs) between these subtypes, followed by Lasso regression analysis to construct a prognostic model. The model was validated by performing Kaplan‐Meier survival, ROC and risk curve, univariate and multivariate COX regression analysis. GO, KEGG, GSEA, ESTIMATE and ssGSEA analyses was performed to explort the potential mechanism leading to different prognosis. Results: Based on the 66 CAF‐related gene expression pattern we stratitied HNSCC patients into two previously unreported subtypes with different clinical outcomes. A prognostic model composed of 15 DEGs was constructed and validated. In addition, bioinformatics analysis showed that the prognostic risk of HNSCC patients was also negatively correlated to immune infiltration, implying the role of tumor immune escape in HNSCC prognosis and treatment option. Conclusions: The study develops a reliable prognostic prediction tool and provides a theoretical treatment guidance for HNSCC patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
