- Abstract
We report on a non-perturbative determination of the parameters of the lattice Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) Lagrangian and of the time component of the heavy-light axial-vector current with N
f = 2 flavors of massless dynamical quarks. The effective theory is considered at the 1/ mh order, and the heavy mass mh covers a range from slightly above the charm to beyond the beauty region. These HQET parameters are needed to compute, for example, the b-quark mass, the heavy-light spectrum and decay constants in the static approximation and to order 1/ mh in HQET. The determination of the parameters is done non-perturbatively. The computation reported in this paper uses the plaquette gauge action and two different static actions for the heavy quark described by HQET. For the light-quark action we choose non-perturbatively O( a)-improved Wilson fermions.[Figure not available: see fulltext.] [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

After discussing the relevance of a first principles theory-prediction of the hadronic vacuum polarisation for Standard Model tests, the theoretical challenges for its computation in lattice QCD are reviewed. New ideas that will potentially improve the quality of lattice simulations will be introduced and the status of ongoing simulations will be presented briefly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The coefficient c_A required for O(a) improvement of the axial current in lattice QCD with N_f=3 flavors of Wilson fermions and the tree-level Symanzik-improved gauge action is determined non-perturbatively. The standard improvement condition using Schroedinger functional boundary conditions is employed at constant physics for a range of couplings relevant for simulations at lattice spacings of ~ 0.09 fm and below. We define the improvement condition projected onto the zero topological charge sector of the theory, in order to avoid the problem of possibly insufficient tunneling between topological sectors in our simulations at the smallest bare coupling. An interpolation formula for c_A(g_0^2) is provided together with our final results., Comment: 16 pages including figures and tables, latex2e; version published in Nucl. Phys. We explain how the strategy of solving renormalization problems in HQET non-perturbatively by a matching to QCD in finite volume can be implemented to include dynamical fermions. As a primary application, some elements of an HQET computation of the mass of the b-quark beyond the leading order with N_f=2 are outlined. In particular, the matching of HQET and QCD requires relativistic QCD simulations in a volume with L ~ 0.5 fm, which will serve to quantitatively determine the heavy quark mass dependence of heavy-light meson observables in the continuum limit of finite-volume two-flavour lattice QCD. As a preparation for the latter, we report on our determination of the renormalization constants and improvement coefficients relating the renormalized current and subtracted bare quark mass in the relevant weak coupling region. The calculation of these coefficients employs a constant physics condition in the Schroedinger functional scheme, where the box size L is fixed by working at a prescribed value of the renormalized coupling., Comment: 14 pages including figures and tables, latex2e, uses PoS.cls; presented at the XXV International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory, July 30 - August 4 2007, Regensburg, Germany; typo corrected, results unchanged

We present a calculation of the hadronic vacuum polarization contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment, aμhvp, in lattice QCD employing dynamical up and down quarks. We focus on controlling the infrared regime of the vacuum polarization function. To this end we employ several complementary approaches, including Padé fits, time moments and the time-momentum representation. We correct our results for finite-volume effects by combining the Gounaris-Sakurai parameterization of the timelike pion form factor with the Lüscher formalism. On a subset of our ensembles we have derived an upper bound on the magnitude of quark-disconnected diagrams and found that they decrease the estimate for aμhvp by at most 2%. Our final result is ahvpμ=(654±32+21−23)·10−10, where the first error is statistical, and the second denotes the combined systematic uncertainty. Based on our findings we discuss the prospects for determining aμhvp with sub-percent precision., Journal of High Energy Physics, 2017 (10), ISSN:1126-6708, ISSN:1029-8479

Scienze giuridiche::DIRITTO AMMINISTRATIVO [Settori Disciplinari MIUR] ,Concorrenza ,Professioni ,Costituzione ,Settori Disciplinari MIUR::Scienze giuridiche::DIRITTO AMMINISTRATIVO - Abstract
The work is dedicated to deepening the relationship between liberal professions and the part of the Italian Constitution that deals with Economics. In particular, it aims to demonstrate the full story of liberalization in the changed interpretation of Articles 41, 43 and 117 of the Constitution. Therefore it is a survey of how public law, with a privileged attention to constitutional changes, has been object of a new interpretation due to competition law and freedom of movement. The survey integrates precise references to the European Court of Justice, together with that of the Constitutional Court and ordinary courts and does not fail to consider the prononciations of the main legal professional bodies. The particular amount of arguments and the circumstances of a still unfinished transition to full liberalization makes the issue particularly uncertain and of difficult classification. The thesis consists of four chapters. First chapter is devoted to the analysis of the concept of legal professions. From this point of view, it highlights the difficulties of the reconstruction system from a regulatory standpoint and from the perspective given by the prevalent literature. In this sense, the chapter carefully examines the difference between the nature of professions and that of company/enterprise and in this frame it shows the most advanced interpretations of EU Courts. Second chapter deals with drawing a comparison between professional freedom implicitly contained in the Republican Constitution and the affirmed freedom of movement within the European Community. In this context, it does not neglects the most recent development of Community law, particularly that of the Charter of Fundamental Rights, highlighting the critical issues that can emerge from purely and simply drawing an equivalence between professional activity and the activity of enterprise. Third chapter deals with the regulation of professions in the reform of Title V. The chapter shows, through the analysis of constitutional jurisprudence subsequent to the year 2001, the main problems that emerged around the location of the labels professions and professional associations. In this part of the work, it shows the closeness between the label of the professions and that of competition. Fourth chapter covers the analyzes of public law colleges and concludes with a reflection on the possibility of a renewed place of professional bodies within the Constitution.
