In order to realize the real-time monitoring of precision automatic seeding and fertilization, a monitoring system of precision automatic seeding and fertilization integrated machine based on variable distance photoelectric sensor is designed. In this system, STM32F103R8T6 single chip microcomputer hardware system is used as the lower computer to judge the running state of the machine. Through Modbus protocol, the received information is transmitted to the upper computer interface of MCGSTPC touch screen for real-time display. In the laboratory test, the designed seed metering device and fertilizer applicator can meet the requirements of wide precision sowing and wide uniform fertilization. All indicators can meet the requirements. In the field experiment, the phenomenon of seed leakage (fertilizer leakage) failure and response delay will occasionally appear. Moreover, the alarm accuracy of the monitoring system is more than 95%, and the response time of fertilizer missing, blocking and leakage is short. Therefore, the system designed in this study can realize the real-time and high-precision monitoring of precision automatic seeder, which is helpful to improve the quality of precision seeder.

The innovative and environmentally friendly methodologies for comprehensively enhancing the performances of high-strength steels without damage to plasticity, toughness and heat/corrosion/fatigue resistance are being developed. In recent years, nanoparticles elevate the field of high-strength steel. It is proposed that nanoparticles have the potential to replace conventional semi-coherent intermetallic compounds, carbides and alloying to optimize the steel. The fabrication process is simplified and the cost is lower compared with the traditional methods. Considerable research effort has been directed towards high-performance cast steels reinforced with nanoparticles due to potential application in major engineering. Nanoparticles are found to be capable of notably optimizing the nucleation behavior and precipitate process. The prominently optimized microstructure configuration and performances of cast steel can be acquired synchronously. In this review, the lattice matching and valence electron criterion between diverse nanoparticles and steel are summarized, and the existing various preparation methods are compared and analyzed. At present, there are four main methods to introduce nanoparticles into steel: external nanoparticle method, internal nanoparticle method, in-situ reaction method, and additive manufacturing method. These four methods have their own advantages and limitations, respectively. In this review, the synthesis, selection principle and strengthening mechanism of nanoparticles in cast steels for the above four methods are discussed in detail. Moreover, the main preparation methods and microstructure manipulation mechanism of the steel reinforced with different nanoparticles have been systematically expatiated. Finally, the development and future potential research directions of the application of nanoparticles in cast steel are prospected.

Osmosis are essential for not only the application of nanofluidic devices but also the understanding of working principles of biological transmembrane proteins. Despite considerable experimental interests, comprehensive simulation work is still lacking, possibly because of the periodic boundary condition that inevitably leads to the spontaneous exchange of two side reservoirs. To eliminate this disadvantage, herein we design a simple model system by introducing a dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine bilayer into a common carbon-nanotube (CNT)-based setup, which allows long-time osmotic simulations. Interestingly, the osmotic water flux exhibits an excellent linear relation with the concentration gradient and an Arrhenius relation with the temperature, which highly coincides with recent experimental observations. Furthermore, the osmotic flux can be quantitatively comparable to not only the experimental CNTs and protein channels but also the theoretical estimation from the Hagen-Poiseuille equation. The designed simulation model could open a new window for future studies on osmosis.

Background: Encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS) is a serious complication of peritoneal dialysis (PD), with high morbidity and mortality that requires an early diagnosis for effective treatment. PD withdrawal and bacterial peritonitis are important triggers for the onset of EPS. However, few studies have focused on cases of PD withdrawal without a clinical diagnosis of peritonitis, cirrhosis, or carcinomatosis. We aimed to compare the clinical characteristics and computed tomography (CT) images of patients with or without ascites in such situations and assess clinical outcomes in terms of mortality. Methods: Our retrospective review included 78 patients who withdraw PD between January 2000 and December 2017. BackgroundDual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) score is used to stratify ischemic and bleeding risk for antiplatelet therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). This study assessed the association between the DAPT score and clinical outcomes in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patients who were treated with P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy.MethodsA total of 498 ACS patients, with early aspirin discontinuation for various reasons and who received P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy after PCI, were enrolled during the period from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018. The efficacy and safety between those with low (ResultsThe primary composite endpoint occurred in 11.56 and 14.38% of the low and high DAPT score groups, respectively. Although there was no significant difference in the primary composite endpoint between the two groups in the multivariate Cox proportional hazards models, the risk of recurrent ACS or unplanned revascularization was significantly higher in the high DAPT score group (adjusted hazard ratio [HR]: 1.900, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.095–3.295). The safety outcome for BARC 3 or 5 bleeding was similar between the two groups.ConclusionsOur results indicate that ACS patients receiving P2Y12 monotherapy with high DAPT score had an increased risk of recurrent ACS or unplanned revascularization.

Background: The nomogram derived from the pivotal phase III NAPOLI-1 study demonstrated a significant ability to predict median overall survival (OS) in gemcitabine-refractory metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) treated with liposomal irinotecan plus fluorouracil and leucovorin (nal-IRI+5-FU/LV). However, the NAPOLI-1 nomogram has not been validated in a real-world setting and therefore the applicability of the NAPOLI-1 nomogram in daily practice remains unknown. This study aims to evaluate the NAPOLI-1 nomogram in a multicenter real-world cohort. Methods: The NAPOLI-1 nomogram was applied to a previously established cohort of metastatic PDAC patients treated with nal-IRI+5-FU/LV in nine participating centers in Taiwan. Patients were divided into three risk groups according to the NAPOLI-1 nomogram. The survival impact of relative dose intensity at 6 weeks (RDI at 6 weeks) in different risk groups was also investigated. Results: Of the 473 included patients, the median OSs of patients classified as low (n = 156), medium (n = 186), and high (n = 131) risk were 10.9, 6.3, and 4.3 months, respectively (p < 0.0001). The survival impact of RDI at 6 weeks remained significant after stratification by risk groups, adjustment with Cox regression, inverse probability weighting, or propensity score matching. Conclusions: Our results support the usefulness of the NAPOLI-1 nomogram for risk stratification in gemcitabine-refractory metastatic PDAC treated with nal-IRI+5-FU/LV in daily practice. We further showed that the RDI at 6 weeks is an independent prognostic factor beyond the NAPOLI-1 nomogram.

Urbanization carries essential influences to ecosystem of soil bacteria in coastal cities. Comprehending the patterns and drivers of bacterial diversity are essential to understanding how soil ecosystems respond to environmental change. This study aimed to explore how soil bacterial community (SBC) response to distinct urbanization of coastal cities on composition, assembly process and potential function in Guangdong province, south China. 72 samples from 24 sample sites within 3 cities were included in the study. Soil chemical properties were analyzed, and the bacterial community were investigated by high-throughout sequencing. Proteobacteria and Acidobacteria were the main phyla. Assembly processes remained in stochastic processes and co-occurrence network of SBC kept stable, while urbanization altered SBC by influencing the dominant phyla. The indicators of communities in coastal city soils were the genera gamma_proteobacterium and beta_proteobacterium. Urbanized extent was the non-negligible factor which affected soil bacterial community, despite the total carbon was still the most vital. The impact of urbanization on bacterial communities might follow a non-linear pattern. Faprotax function prediction showed different urbanized coastal city soils share similar metabolic potential. Our study improved our understanding of the response of soil bacterial communities to urbanization in subtropical coastal cities and offered a useful strategy to monitor the ecology risk toward the soil under urbanization.

The global, randomized NAPOLI‐1 phase 3 trial reported a survival benefit with liposomal irinotecan (nal‐IRI) plus 5‐fluorouracil/leucovorin (nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV) in patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC) after previous gemcitabine‐based therapy. Median overall survival (OS) with nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV was 6.1 vs 4.2 months with 5‐FU/LV alone (unstratified hazard ratio [HR] = 0.67, P = .012). Herein, we report efficacy and safety results from a post‐hoc subgroup analysis of Asian patients treated at Asian centers. Primary study endpoint was OS; secondary endpoints included progression‐free survival (PFS), objective response rate (ORR), and safety. Patients receiving nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV (n = 34) had significantly longer median OS versus 5‐FU/LV (n = 35) (8.9 vs 3.7 months; unstratified HR = 0.51, P = .025). Patients had significantly increased median PFS with nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV versus 5‐FU/LV (4.0 vs 1.4; unstratified HR = 0.48, P = .011), and increased ORR (8.8% vs 0; P = .114). nal‐IRI monotherapy (n = 50) numerically improved efficacy endpoints versus 5‐FU/LV (n = 48): median OS was 5.8 versus 4.3 months (HR = 0.83, P = .423) and median PFS was 2.8 versus 1.4 months (HR = 0.69, P = .155). Grade ≥3 neutropenia was reported more frequently with nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV versus 5‐FU/LV (54.5% vs 3.4%), and incidence of grade ≥3 diarrhea was comparable between the two arms (3.0% vs 6.9%). This subgroup analysis confirms nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV as an efficacious treatment option that improves survival in Asian patients with mPDAC that progressed after gemcitabine‐based therapy, with a safety profile agreeing with previous findings. The nal‐IRI+5‐FU/LV regimen should represent a new standard of care for these patients in Asia. Nanoliposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI) plus 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin (NalFL) comprises the current standard for gemcitabine-failed metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). As liposomes generally accumulate in the spleen, we evaluated the impact of spleen volume on prognosis. We enrolled patients with metastatic PDAC who failed gemcitabine-based therapy and were initiated on NalFL between August 2018 and November 2020. The spleen volume before NalFL administration was evaluated. They were stratified into dose subgroups (i.e. low, < 48 mg/m(2); intermediate, 48 - < 64 mg/m(2); high, ≥ 64 mg/m(2)) by the average nal-IRI dose during the entire treatment, and multivariate analysis of overall survival (OS) was performed. We included 547 patients with a median age of 63 years (range, 27-89 years) and a median of 1 (range, 0-7) palliative chemotherapy regimen. The median spleen volume was 245 mL (range, 82-817 mL). Among patients with splenomegaly (≥ 245 mL), the low-dose subgroup had the worst median time to treatment failure (TTF, 1.8 months vs. 2.5 months vs. 2.5 months, P = 0.020) and OS (3.3 months vs. 5.9 months vs. 6.6 months, P = 0.018) as against no prognostic impact in patients without splenomegaly. In the multivariate analysis of patients with splenomegaly, performance status (PS) ≥ 2, body surface area (BSA) < 1.6 m(2), prior fluoropyrimidine use, liver metastasis, and low-dose subgroup were independent poor prognostic factors. A low average nal-IRI dose was significantly associated with poor prognosis, especially among patients with splenomegaly. Further pharmacological studies should validate the relevance of spleen volume on the treatment outcomes of nal-IRI.

T helper 17 (Th17) cells produce interleukin-17 (IL-17) cytokines and drive inflammatory responses in autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis(Korn, Bettelli, Oukka, & Kuchroo, 2009; Weaver, Hatton, Mangan, & Harrington, 2007). The differentiation of Th17 cells is dependent on the retinoic acid receptor-related orphan nuclear receptor RORgt(Ivanov et al., 2006). Here we identify REV-ERBa (encoded by Nr1d1), a member of the nuclear hormone receptor (NHR) family, as a transcriptional repressor that antagonizes RORgt function in Th17 cells. REV-ERBa binds to ROR response elements (RORE) in Th17 cells and inhibits the expression of RORgt-dependent genes including Il17a and Il17f. Furthermore, elevated REV-ERBa expression or treatment with a synthetic REV- ERB agonist significantly delays the onset and impedes the progression of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a Th17 cell-mediated autoimmune disease. These results suggest that modulating REV-ERBa activity may hold therapeutic potential for treatment of Th17 cell-mediated autoimmune diseases.
