401. DataStorm-EM: Exploration of Alternative Timelines within Continuous-Coupled Simulation Ensembles

Abstract: Many socio-economical critical domains (such as sustainability, public health, and disasters) are characterized by highly complex and dynamic systems, requiring data and model-driven simulations to support decision-making. Due to a large number of unknowns, decision-makers usually need to generate ensembles of stochastic scenarios, requiring hundreds or thousands of individual simulation instances, each with different parameter settings corresponding to distinct scenarios, As the number of model parameters increases, the number of potential timelines one can simulate increases exponentially. Consequently, simulation ensembles are inherently sparse, even when they are extremely large. This necessitates a platform for (a) deciding which simulation instances to execute and (b) given a large simulation ensemble, enabling decision-makers to explore the resulting alternative timelines, by extracting and visualizing consistent, yet diverse timelines from continuous-coupled simulation ensembles. In this article, we present DataStorm-EM platform for data- and model-driven simulation ensemble management, optimization, analysis, and exploration, describe underlying challenges and present our solution.

402. Ultra-compact beam steering nanolasers

Abstract: The miniaturization and integration of beam steering devices have consistently been the focus of the field. Conventional methods alter the eigenmode of the optical cavity by regulating the refractive index. Due to the weak nonlinear effect of the optical system, the device must be sufficiently large to achieve sufficient light modulation. The effective method for miniaturizing beam steering devices currently in use is based on metasurfaces. However, this type of device necessitates the input of a laser source, which precludes the simultaneous generation and control of light in a single device. Here we propose a miniaturized beam steering device that employs mode selection between different bound states in the continuum (BIC) states through phase change material. The device is capable of simultaneously achieving both light generation and beam steering (33{\deg}) in a single device with a size of only 25 {\mu}m and with a low threshold of 8.9 kW cm-2. Furthermore,it is possible to achieve a significant degree of dynamic wavelength tunability, with a range extending up to 296 nm. This method achieves high-efficient regulation of light properties by dynamically controlling the system's topological charge, circumventing the problem of weak nonlinearity in traditional methods. Furthermore, the integration of phase change materials with nanolasers enables the direct alteration of lasing properties, which provides a novel idea for dynamic light control. The device process scheme based on phase change materials is straightforward, direct, and highly compatible, which will be advantageous for its intended application.

403. EarthMarker: A Visual Prompting Multi-modal Large Language Model for Remote Sensing

Abstract: Recent advances in prompt learning have allowed users to interact with artificial intelligence (AI) tools in multi-turn dialogue, enabling an interactive understanding of images. However, it is difficult and inefficient to deliver information in complicated remote sensing (RS) scenarios using plain language instructions alone, which would severely hinder deep comprehension of the latent content in imagery. Besides, existing prompting strategies in natural scenes are hard to apply to interpret the RS data due to significant domain differences. To address these challenges, the first visual prompting-based multi-modal large language model (MLLM) named EarthMarker is proposed in the RS domain. EarthMarker is capable of interpreting RS imagery at the image, region, and point levels by levering visual prompts (i.e., boxes and points). Specifically, a shared visual encoding method is developed to establish the spatial pattern interpretation relationships between the multi-scale representations of input images and various visual prompts. Subsequently, the mixed visual-spatial representations are associated with language instructions to construct joint prompts, enabling the interpretation of intricate content of RS imagery. Furthermore, to bridge the domain gap between natural and RS data, and effectively transfer domain-level knowledge from natural scenes to the RS domain, a cross-domain learning strategy is developed to facilitate the RS imagery understanding. In addition, to tackle the lack of RS visual prompting data, a dataset named RSVP featuring multi-modal multi-granularity visual prompts instruction-following is constructed. 404. Aligning Explanations for Recommendation with Rating and Feature via Maximizing Mutual Information

Abstract: Providing natural language-based explanations to justify recommendations helps to improve users' satisfaction and gain users' trust. However, as current explanation generation methods are commonly trained with an objective to mimic existing user reviews, the generated explanations are often not aligned with the predicted ratings or some important features of the recommended items, and thus, are suboptimal in helping users make informed decision on the recommendation platform. To tackle this problem, we propose a flexible model-agnostic method named MMI (Maximizing Mutual Information) framework to enhance the alignment between the generated natural language explanations and the predicted rating/important item features. Specifically, we propose to use mutual information (MI) as a measure for the alignment and train a neural MI estimator. Then, we treat a well-trained explanation generation model as the backbone model and further fine-tune it through reinforcement learning with guidance from the MI estimator, which rewards a generated explanation that is more aligned with the predicted rating or a pre-defined feature of the recommended item. Experiments on three datasets demonstrate that our MMI framework can boost different backbone models, enabling them to outperform existing baselines in terms of alignment with predicted ratings and item features. 405. Scale Disparity of Instances in Interactive Point Cloud Segmentation

Abstract: Interactive point cloud segmentation has become a pivotal task for understanding 3D scenes, enabling users to guide segmentation models with simple interactions such as clicks, therefore significantly reducing the effort required to tailor models to diverse scenarios and new categories. However, in the realm of interactive segmentation, the meaning of instance diverges from that in instance segmentation, because users might desire to segment instances of both thing and stuff categories that vary greatly in scale. Existing methods have focused on thing categories, neglecting the segmentation of stuff categories and the difficulties arising from scale disparity. To bridge this gap, we propose ClickFormer, an innovative interactive point cloud segmentation model that accurately segments instances of both thing and stuff categories. We propose a query augmentation module to augment click queries by a global query sampling strategy, thus maintaining consistent performance across different instance scales. Additionally, we employ global attention in the query-voxel transformer to mitigate the risk of generating false positives, along with several other network structure improvements to further enhance the model's segmentation performance. Abstract: Machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs) have been widely used to facilitate large scale molecular simulations with ab initio level accuracy. However, MLIP-based molecular simulations frequently encounter the issue of collapse due to decreased prediction accuracy for out-of-distribution (OOD) data. To mitigate this issue, it is crucial to enrich the training set with active learning, where uncertainty estimation serves as an effective method for identifying and collecting OOD data. Therefore, a feasible method for uncertainty estimation in MLIPs is desired. The existing methods either require expensive computations or compromise prediction accuracy. In this work, we introduce evidential deep learning for interatomic potentials (eIP) with a physics-inspired design. Our experiments demonstrate that eIP consistently generates reliable uncertainties without incurring notable additional computational costs, while the prediction accuracy remains unchanged. Furthermore, we present an eIP-based active learning workflow, where eIP is used not only to estimate the uncertainty of molecular data but also to perform uncertainty-driven dynamics simulations. Our findings show that eIP enables efficient sampling for a more diverse dataset, thereby advancing the feasibility of MLIP-based molecular simulations.

407. Nematic Ising superconductivity with hidden magnetism in few-layer 6R-TaS2

Abstract: In van der Waals heterostructures (vdWHs), the manipulation of interlayer stacking/coupling allows for the construction of customizable quantum systems exhibiting exotic physics. An illustrative example is the diverse range of states of matter achieved through varying the proximity coupling between two-dimensional (2D) quantum spin liquid (QSL) and superconductors within the TaS2 family. This study presents a demonstration of the intertwined physics of spontaneous rotational symmetry breaking, hidden magnetism, and Ising superconductivity in the three-fold rotationally symmetric, non-magnetic natural vdWHs 6R-TaS2. A distinctive phase emerges in 6R-TaS2 below a characteristic temperature (T*) of approximately 30 K, which is characterized by a remarkable set of features, including a giant extrinsic anomalous Hall effect (AHE), Kondo screening, magnetic field-tunable thermal hysteresis, and nematic magneto-resistance. At lower temperatures, a coexistence of nematicity and Kondo screening with Ising superconductivity is observed, providing compelling evidence of hidden magnetism within a superconductor. This research not only sheds light on unexpected emergent physics resulting from the coupling of itinerant electrons and localized/correlated electrons in natural vdWHs but also emphasizes the potential for tailoring exotic quantum states through the manipulation of interlayer interactions., Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures

Abstract: In high temperature cuprate superconductors, it was found that in the overdoped region the superfluid density decreases with the increase of hole doping. One natural question is whether there exists normal fluid in the superconducting state in the overdoped region. In this paper, we have carried out high-resolution ultra-low temperature laser-based angle-resolved photoemission measurements on a heavily overdoped Bi2212 sample with a $T_{\mathrm{c}}$ of 48 K. We find that this heavily overdoped Bi2212 remains in the strong coupling regime with $2 \mathit{\Delta}_0 / k_{\mathrm{B}} T_{\mathrm{c}}=5.8$. The single-particle scattering rate is very small along the nodal direction ($\sim$5 meV) and increases as the momentum moves from the nodal to the antinodal regions. A hard superconducting gap opening is observed near the antinodal region with the spectral weight at the Fermi level fully suppressed to zero. The normal fluid is found to be negligibly small in the superconducting state of this heavily overdoped Bi2212. These results provide key information to understand the high $T_\mathrm{c}$ mechanism in the cuprate superconductors., Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures

409. Dissipationless topological quantum computation for Majorana objects in sparse-dense mixed encoding process

Abstract: Topological quantum computation based on Majorana objects is subject to a significant challenge because at least some of the two-qubit quantum gates rely on the fermion (either charge or spin) parity of the qubits. This dependency renders the quantum operations involving these gates probabilistic when attempting to advance quantum processes within the quantum circuit model. Such an approach leads to significant information loss whenever measurements yield the undesired fermion parity. To resolve the problem of wasting information, we devise topological operations that allow for the non-dissipative correction of information from undesired fermion parity to the desired one. We will use the sparse-dense mixed encoding process for the controlled-NOT gate as an example to explain how corrections can be implemented without affecting the quantum information carried by the computational qubits. Abstract: The amount of Magnetic resonance imaging data has grown tremendously recently, creating an urgent need to accelerate data processing, which requires substantial computational resources and time. In this preliminary study, we applied FMRIB Software Library commands on T1-weighted and diffusion-weighted images of a single young adult using the Fugaku supercomputer. The tensor-based measurements and subcortical structure segmentations performed on Fugaku supercomputer were highly consistent with those from conventional systems, demonstrating its reliability and significantly reduced processing time.

411. Modeling Foreground Spatial Variations in 21 cm Gaussian Process Component Separation

Abstract: Gaussian processes (GPs) have been extensively utilized as nonparametric models for component separation in 21 cm data analyses. This exploits the distinct spectral behavior of the cosmological and foreground signals, which are modeled through the GP covariance kernel. Previous approaches have employed a global GP kernel along all lines of sight (LoS). In this work, we study Bayesian approaches that allow for spatial variations in foreground kernel parameters, testing them against simulated HI intensity mapping observations. We consider a no-pooling (NP) model, which treats each LoS independently by fitting for separate covariance kernels, and a hierarchical Gaussian Process (HGP) model that allows for variation in kernel parameters between different LoS, regularized through a global hyperprior. We find that accounting for spatial variations in the GP kernel parameters results in a significant improvement in cosmological signal recovery, achieving up to a 30% reduction in the standard deviation of the residual distribution and improved model predictive performance. Allowing for spatial variations in GP kernel parameters also improves the recovery of the HI power spectra and wavelet scattering transform coefficients. Whilst the NP model achieves superior recovery as measured by the residual distribution, it demands extensive computational resources, faces formidable convergence challenges, and is prone to overfitting. Conversely, the HGP model strikes a balance between the accuracy and robustness of the signal recovery. 412. Towards High-Quality 3D Motion Transfer with Realistic Apparel Animation

Abstract: Animating stylized characters to match a reference motion sequence is a highly demanded task in film and gaming industries. Existing methods mostly focus on rigid deformations of characters' body, neglecting local deformations on the apparel driven by physical dynamics. They deform apparel the same way as the body, leading to results with limited details and unrealistic artifacts, e.g. body-apparel penetration. In contrast, we present a novel method aiming for high-quality motion transfer with realistic apparel animation. As existing datasets lack annotations necessary for generating realistic apparel animations, we build a new dataset named MMDMC, which combines stylized characters from the MikuMikuDance community with real-world Motion Capture data. We then propose a data-driven pipeline that learns to disentangle body and apparel deformations via two neural deformation modules. For body parts, we propose a geodesic attention block to effectively incorporate semantic priors into skeletal body deformation to tackle complex body shapes for stylized characters. Since apparel motion can significantly deviate from respective body joints, we propose to model apparel deformation in a non-linear vertex displacement field conditioned on its historic states. Extensive experiments show that our method produces results with superior quality for various types of apparel. 413. Spider2-V: How Far Are Multimodal Agents From Automating Data Science and Engineering Workflows?

Abstract: Data science and engineering workflows often span multiple stages, from warehousing to orchestration, using tools like BigQuery, dbt, and Airbyte. As vision language models (VLMs) advance in multimodal understanding and code generation, VLM-based agents could potentially automate these workflows by generating SQL queries, Python code, and GUI operations. This automation can improve the productivity of experts while democratizing access to large-scale data analysis. In this paper, we introduce Spider2-V, the first multimodal agent benchmark focusing on professional data science and engineering workflows, featuring 494 real-world tasks in authentic computer environments and incorporating 20 enterprise-level professional applications. These tasks, derived from real-world use cases, evaluate the ability of a multimodal agent to perform data-related tasks by writing code and managing the GUI in enterprise data software systems. To balance realistic simulation with evaluation simplicity, we devote significant effort to developing automatic configurations for task setup and carefully crafting evaluation metrics for each task. Furthermore, we supplement multimodal agents with comprehensive documents of these enterprise data software systems. Our empirical evaluation reveals that existing state-of-the-art LLM/VLM-based agents do not reliably automate full data workflows (14.0% success). Even with step-by-step guidance, these agents still underperform in tasks that require fine-grained, knowledge-intensive GUI actions (16.2%) and involve remote cloud-hosted workspaces (10.6%). We hope that Spider2-V paves the way for autonomous multimodal agents to transform the automation of data science and engineering workflow. Abstract: The PandaX-4T liquid xenon detector at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory is used to measure the solar $^8$B neutrino flux by detecting neutrinos through coherent scattering with xenon nuclei. Data samples requiring the coincidence of scintillation and ionization signals (paired), as well as unpaired ionization-only signals (US2), are selected with energy threshold of approximately 1.1 keV (0.33 keV) nuclear recoil energy. Combining the commissioning run and the first science run of PandaX-4T, a total exposure of 1.20 and 1.04 tonne$\cdot$year are collected for the paired and US2, respectively. After unblinding, 3 and 332 events are observed with an expectation of 2.8$\pm$0.5 and 251$\pm$32 background events, for the paired and US2 data, respectively. A combined analysis yields a best-fit $^8$B neutrino signal of 3.5 (75) events from the paired (US2) data sample, with $\sim$37\% uncertainty, and the background-only hypothesis is disfavored at 2.64$\sigma$ significance. This gives a solar $^8$B neutrino flux of ($8.4\pm3.1$)$\times$10$^6$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$, consistent with the standard solar model prediction. 415. GuideLight: 'Industrial Solution' Guidance for More Practical Traffic Signal Control Agents

Abstract: Currently, traffic signal control (TSC) methods based on reinforcement learning (RL) have proven superior to traditional methods. However, most RL methods face difficulties when applied in the real world due to three factors: input, output, and the cycle-flow relation. The industry's observable input is much more limited than simulation-based RL methods. For real-world solutions, only flow can be reliably collected, whereas common RL methods need more. For the output action, most RL methods focus on acyclic control, which real-world signal controllers do not support. Most importantly, industry standards require a consistent cycle-flow relationship: non-decreasing and different response strategies for low, medium, and high-level flows, which is ignored by the RL methods. To narrow the gap between RL methods and industry standards, we innovatively propose to use industry solutions to guide the RL agent. Specifically, we design behavior cloning and curriculum learning to guide the agent to mimic and meet industry requirements and, at the same time, leverage the power of exploration and exploitation in RL for better performance. We theoretically prove that such guidance can largely decrease the sample complexity to polynomials in the horizon when searching for an optimal policy. 416. Think-on-Graph 2.0: Deep and Faithful Large Language Model Reasoning with Knowledge-guided Retrieval Augmented Generation

Abstract: Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) has enhanced large language models (LLMs) by using knowledge retrieval to address knowledge gaps. However, existing RAG approaches often fail to ensure the depth and completeness of the information retrieved, which is essential for complex reasoning tasks. In this work, we present Think-on-Graph 2.0 (ToG-2), a hybrid RAG framework that iteratively retrieves information from both unstructured and structured knowledge sources in a tightly integrated manner. Specifically, ToG-2 leverages knowledge graphs (KGs) to connect documents via entities, facilitating deep and knowledge-guided context retrieval. Simultaneously, it uses documents as entity contexts to enable precise and efficient graph retrieval. ToG-2 alternates between graph retrieval and context retrieval to search for in-depth clues relevant to the question, enabling LLMs to generate accurate answers. We conduct a series of experiments to demonstrate the following advantages of ToG-2: (1) ToG-2 tightly integrates context retrieval and graph retrieval, enhancing context retrieval through the KG while enabling reliable graph retrieval based on contexts; (2) it achieves deep and faithful reasoning in LLMs through an iterative knowledge retrieval process that integrates contexts and the KG; and (3) ToG-2 is training-free and compatible with various LLMs as a plug-and-play solution. Extensive experiments show that ToG-2 achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance on 6 out of 7 knowledge-intensive datasets with GPT-3.5, and can elevate the performance of smaller models (e.g., LLAMA-2-13B) to the level of GPT-3.5's direct reasoning.

Abstract: Growing demands for precise current measurements, such as atto-ampere-level measurement of cross-cellular biological current transduction, have spotlighted a pressing need for low-noise resistors with ultra-high resistance immune to voltage fluctuations. Traditional semi-insulating materials, however, struggle to provide consistent resistance across varying voltages. To bridge this gap, we introduce a design that integrates semi-insulating 4H-SiC with atomic-level metal oxide interlayers and electrodes. The strategic adjustment of surface states via atomic-scale metal oxide layers optimizes the work functions on 4H-SiC surfaces, validated through density functional theory simulations. This design transcends conventional limitations, establishing an ideal Ohmic behavior and maintains Peta-Ohm-level resistance, unaffected by voltage variations. These on-chip devices with fine-tuned resistance are compatible with integrated circuit manufacturing processes, making them ideally suited for applications in precision electronics.

418. VLMPC: Vision-Language Model Predictive Control for Robotic Manipulation

Abstract: Although Model Predictive Control (MPC) can effectively predict the future states of a system and thus is widely used in robotic manipulation tasks, it does not have the capability of environmental perception, leading to the failure in some complex scenarios. To address this issue, we introduce Vision-Language Model Predictive Control (VLMPC), a robotic manipulation framework which takes advantage of the powerful perception capability of vision language model (VLM) and integrates it with MPC. Specifically, we propose a conditional action sampling module which takes as input a goal image or a language instruction and leverages VLM to sample a set of candidate action sequences. Then, a lightweight action-conditioned video prediction model is designed to generate a set of future frames conditioned on the candidate action sequences. VLMPC produces the optimal action sequence with the assistance of VLM through a hierarchical cost function that formulates both pixel-level and knowledge-level consistence between the current observation and the goal image. We demonstrate that VLMPC outperforms the state-of-the-art methods on public benchmarks. More importantly, our method showcases excellent performance in various real-world tasks of robotic manipulation. Abstract: We construct a polynomial family of semisimple left module categories over the representation category of the Drinfeld-Jimbo deformation, with the fusion rule of the representation category of each Levi subalgebra. In this construction we perform a kind of generalized parabolic induction using a deformed quantum enveloping algebra, whose definition depends on an arbitrary choice of a positive system and corresponds to De Commer's definition for the standard positive system. These algebras define a sheaf of algebras on the toric variety associated to the root system, which contains the moduli of equivariant Poisson brackets. This fact finally produces the family of 2-cocycle. We also obtain a comparison theorem between our module categories and module categories induced from our construction for intermediate Levi subalgebras. Abstract: Incomplete multi-view clustering (IMVC) aims to cluster multi-view data that are only partially available. This poses two main challenges: effectively leveraging multi-view information and mitigating the impact of missing views. Prevailing solutions employ cross-view contrastive learning and missing view recovery techniques. However, they either neglect valuable complementary information by focusing only on consensus between views or provide unreliable recovered views due to the absence of supervision. To address these limitations, we propose a novel Unified and Robust Representation Learning for Incomplete Multi-View Clustering (URRL-IMVC). URRL-IMVC directly learns a unified embedding that is robust to view missing conditions by integrating information from multiple views and neighboring samples. Firstly, to overcome the limitations of cross-view contrastive learning, URRL-IMVC incorporates an attention-based auto-encoder framework to fuse multi-view information and generate unified embeddings. Secondly, URRL-IMVC directly enhances the robustness of the unified embedding against view-missing conditions through KNN imputation and data augmentation techniques, eliminating the need for explicit missing view recovery. Finally, incremental improvements are introduced to further enhance the overall performance, such as the Clustering Module and the customization of the Encoder. We extensively evaluate the proposed URRL-IMVC framework on various benchmark datasets, demonstrating its state-of-the-art performance. Abstract: Spatial-temporal forecasting and imputation are important for real-world intelligent systems. Most existing methods are tailored for individual forecasting or imputation tasks but are not designed for both. Additionally, they are less effective for zero-shot and few-shot learning. While pre-trained language model (PLM) have exhibited strong pattern recognition and reasoning abilities across various tasks, including few-shot and zero-shot learning, their applications in spatial-temporal data understanding has been constrained by insufficient modeling of complex correlations such as the temporal correlations, spatial connectivity, non-pairwise and high-order spatial-temporal correlations within data. In this paper, we propose STD-PLM for understanding both spatial and temporal properties of \underline{S}patial-\underline{T}emporal \underline{D}ata with \underline{PLM}, which is capable of implementing both spatial-temporal forecasting and imputation tasks. STD-PLM understands spatial-temporal correlations via explicitly designed spatial and temporal tokenizers. Topology-aware node embeddings are designed for PLM to comprehend and exploit the topology structure of data in inductive manner. Furthermore, to mitigate the efficiency issues introduced by the PLM, we design a sandglass attention module (SGA) combined with a specific constrained loss function, which significantly improves the model's efficiency while ensuring performance. Extensive experiments demonstrate that STD-PLM exhibits competitive performance and generalization capabilities across the forecasting and imputation tasks on various datasets. 422. A Bistatic ISAC Framework for LEO Satellite Systems: A Rate-Splitting Approach

Abstract: Aiming to achieve ubiquitous global connectivity and target detection on the same platform with improved spectral/energy efficiency and reduced onboard hardware cost, low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems capable of simultaneously performing communications and radar have attracted significant attention. Designing such a joint system should address not only the challenges of integrating two functions but also the unique propagation characteristics of the satellites. To overcome severe echo signal path loss due to the high altitude of the satellite, we put forth a bistatic integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) framework with a radar receiver separated from the satellite. For robust and effective interference management, we employ rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA), which splits and encodes users messages into private and common streams. We optimize the dual-functional precoders to maximize the minimum rate among all users while satisfying the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) constraints. Given the challenge of acquiring instantaneous channel state information (iCSI) for LEO satellites, we exploit the geometrical and statistical characteristics of the satellite channel. To develop an efficient optimization algorithm, semidefinite relaxation (SDR), sequential rank-1 constraint relaxation (SROCR), and successive convex approximation (SCA) are utilized. Numerical results show that the proposed framework efficiently performs both communication and radar, demonstrating superior interference control capabilities. Abstract: In point cloud geometry compression, most octreebased context models use the cross-entropy between the onehot encoding of node occupancy and the probability distribution predicted by the context model as the loss. This approach converts the problem of predicting the number (a regression problem) and the position (a classification problem) of occupied child nodes into a 255-dimensional classification problem. As a result, it fails to accurately measure the difference between the one-hot encoding and the predicted probability distribution. We first analyze why the cross-entropy loss function fails to accurately measure the difference between the one-hot encoding and the predicted probability distribution. Then, we propose an attention-based child node number prediction (ACNP) module to enhance the context models. The proposed module can predict the number of occupied child nodes and map it into an 8- dimensional vector to assist the context model in predicting the probability distribution of the occupancy of the current node for efficient entropy coding. Abstract: Accurate perception of the dynamic environment is a fundamental task for autonomous driving and robot systems. This paper introduces Let Occ Flow, the first self-supervised work for joint 3D occupancy and occupancy flow prediction using only camera inputs, eliminating the need for 3D annotations. Utilizing TPV for unified scene representation and deformable attention layers for feature aggregation, our approach incorporates a novel attention-based temporal fusion module to capture dynamic object dependencies, followed by a 3D refine module for fine-gained volumetric representation. Besides, our method extends differentiable rendering to 3D volumetric flow fields, leveraging zero-shot 2D segmentation and optical flow cues for dynamic decomposition and motion optimization. Extensive experiments on nuScenes and KITTI datasets demonstrate the competitive performance of our approach over prior state-of-the-art methods. Abstract: Audio-Visual Video Parsing (AVVP) task aims to detect and temporally locate events within audio and visual modalities. Multiple events can overlap in the timeline, making identification challenging. While traditional methods usually focus on improving the early audio-visual encoders to embed more effective features, the decoding phase -- crucial for final event classification, often receives less attention. We aim to advance the decoding phase and improve its interpretability. Specifically, we introduce a new decoding paradigm, \underline{l}abel s\underline{e}m\underline{a}ntic-based \underline{p}rojection (LEAP), that employs labels texts of event categories, each bearing distinct and explicit semantics, for parsing potentially overlapping events.LEAP works by iteratively projecting encoded latent features of audio/visual segments onto semantically independent label embeddings. This process, enriched by modeling cross-modal (audio/visual-label) interactions, gradually disentangles event semantics within video segments to refine relevant label embeddings, guaranteeing a more discriminative and interpretable decoding process. To facilitate the LEAP paradigm, we propose a semantic-aware optimization strategy, which includes a novel audio-visual semantic similarity loss function. This function leverages the Intersection over Union of audio and visual events (EIoU) as a novel metric to calibrate audio-visual similarities at the feature level, accommodating the varied event densities across modalities. 427. Deformable Feature Alignment and Refinement for Moving Infrared Dim-small Target Detection

Abstract: The detection of moving infrared dim-small targets has been a challenging and prevalent research topic. The current state-of-the-art methods are mainly based on ConvLSTM to aggregate information from adjacent frames to facilitate the detection of the current frame. However, these methods implicitly utilize motion information only in the training stage and fail to explicitly explore motion compensation, resulting in poor performance in the case of a video sequence including large motion. In this paper, we propose a Deformable Feature Alignment and Refinement (DFAR) method based on deformable convolution to explicitly use motion context in both the training and inference stages. Specifically, a Temporal Deformable Alignment (TDA) module based on the designed Dilated Convolution Attention Fusion (DCAF) block is developed to explicitly align the adjacent frames with the current frame at the feature level. Then, the feature refinement module adaptively fuses the aligned features and further aggregates useful spatio-temporal information by means of the proposed Attention-guided Deformable Fusion (AGDF) block. In addition, to improve the alignment of adjacent frames with the current frame, we extend the traditional loss function by introducing a new motion compensation loss. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that the proposed DFAR method achieves the state-of-the-art performance on two benchmark datasets including DAUB and IRDST.

428. Cardinality-Aware Set Prediction and Top-$k$ Classification

Abstract: We present a detailed study of cardinality-aware top-$k$ classification, a novel approach that aims to learn an accurate top-$k$ set predictor while maintaining a low cardinality. We introduce a new target loss function tailored to this setting that accounts for both the classification error and the cardinality of the set predicted. To optimize this loss function, we propose two families of surrogate losses: cost-sensitive comp-sum losses and cost-sensitive constrained losses. Minimizing these loss functions leads to new cardinality-aware algorithms that we describe in detail in the case of both top-$k$ and threshold-based classifiers. We establish $H$-consistency bounds for our cardinality-aware surrogate loss functions, thereby providing a strong theoretical foundation for our algorithms. 429. RS-BNN: A Deep Learning Framework for the Optimal Beamforming Design of Rate-Splitting Multiple Access

Abstract: Rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) relies on beamforming design for attaining spectral efficiency and energy efficiency gains over traditional multiple access schemes. While conventional optimization approaches such as weighted minimum mean square error (WMMSE) achieve suboptimal solutions for RSMA beamforming optimization, they are computationally demanding. A novel approach based on fractional programming (FP) has unveiled the optimal beamforming structure (OBS) for RSMA. This method, combined with a hyperplane fixed point iteration (HFPI) approach, named FP-HFPI, provides suboptimal beamforming solutions with identical sum rate performance but much lower computational complexity compared to WMMSE. Inspired by such an approach, in this work, a novel deep unfolding framework based on FP-HFPI, named rate-splitting-beamforming neural network (RS-BNN), is proposed to unfold the FP-HFPI algorithm. Numerical results indicate that the proposed RS-BNN attains a level of performance closely matching that of WMMSE and FP-HFPI, while dramatically reducing the computational complexity.

430. Enhancing Language Model Rationality with Bi-Directional Deliberation Reasoning

Abstract: This paper introduces BI-Directional DEliberation Reasoning (BIDDER), a novel reasoning approach to enhance the decision rationality of language models. Traditional reasoning methods typically rely on historical information and employ uni-directional (left-to-right) reasoning strategy. This lack of bi-directional deliberation reasoning results in limited awareness of potential future outcomes and insufficient integration of historical context, leading to suboptimal decisions. BIDDER addresses this gap by incorporating principles of rational decision-making, specifically managing uncertainty and predicting expected utility. Our approach involves three key processes: Inferring hidden states to represent uncertain information in the decision-making process from historical data; Using these hidden states to predict future potential states and potential outcomes; Integrating historical information (past contexts) and long-term outcomes (future contexts) to inform reasoning. By leveraging bi-directional reasoning, BIDDER ensures thorough exploration of both past and future contexts, leading to more informed and rational decisions. We tested BIDDER's effectiveness in two well-defined scenarios: Poker (Limit Texas Hold'em) and Negotiation. Our experiments demonstrate that BIDDER significantly improves the decision-making capabilities of LLMs and LLM agents.

431. RAM: Retrieval-Based Affordance Transfer for Generalizable Zero-Shot Robotic Manipulation

Abstract: This work proposes a retrieve-and-transfer framework for zero-shot robotic manipulation, dubbed RAM, featuring generalizability across various objects, environments, and embodiments. Unlike existing approaches that learn manipulation from expensive in-domain demonstrations, RAM capitalizes on a retrieval-based affordance transfer paradigm to acquire versatile manipulation capabilities from abundant out-of-domain data. First, RAM extracts unified affordance at scale from diverse sources of demonstrations including robotic data, human-object interaction (HOI) data, and custom data to construct a comprehensive affordance memory. Then given a language instruction, RAM hierarchically retrieves the most similar demonstration from the affordance memory and transfers such out-of-domain 2D affordance to in-domain 3D executable affordance in a zero-shot and embodiment-agnostic manner. Extensive simulation and real-world evaluations demonstrate that our RAM consistently outperforms existing works in diverse daily tasks. Additionally, RAM shows significant potential for downstream applications such as automatic and efficient data collection, one-shot visual imitation, and LLM/VLM-integrated long-horizon manipulation. Abstract: Sustainability commonly refers to entities, such as individuals, companies, and institutions, having a non-detrimental (or even positive) impact on the environment, society, and the economy. With sustainability becoming a synonym of acceptable and legitimate behaviour, it is being increasingly demanded and regulated. Several frameworks and standards have been proposed to measure the sustainability impact of corporations, including United Nations' sustainable development goals and the recently introduced global sustainability reporting framework, amongst others. However, the concept of corporate sustainability is complex due to the diverse and intricate nature of firm operations (i.e. geography, size, business activities, interlinks with other stakeholders). As a result, corporate sustainability assessments are plagued by subjectivity both within data that reflect corporate sustainability efforts (i.e. corporate sustainability disclosures) and the analysts evaluating them. This subjectivity can be distilled into distinct challenges, such as incompleteness, ambiguity, unreliability and sophistication on the data dimension, as well as limited resources and potential bias on the analyst dimension. Put together, subjectivity hinders effective cost attribution to entities non-compliant with prevailing sustainability expectations, potentially rendering sustainability efforts and its associated regulations futile. To this end, we argue that Explainable Natural Language Processing (XNLP) can significantly enhance corporate sustainability analysis. Specifically, linguistic understanding algorithms (lexical, semantic, syntactic), integrated with XAI capabilities (interpretability, explainability, faithfulness), can bridge gaps in analyst resources and mitigate subjectivity problems within data.

Abstract: This paper presents Bag-of-Concept Graph (BACON) to gift models with limited linguistic abilities to taste the privilege of Vision Language Models (VLMs) and boost downstream tasks such as detection, visual question answering (VQA), and image generation. Since the visual scenes in physical worlds are structured with complex relations between objects, BACON breaks down annotations into basic minimum elements and presents them in a graph structure. Element-wise style enables easy understanding, and structural composition liberates difficult locating. Careful prompt design births the BACON captions with the help of public-available VLMs and segmentation methods. In this way, we gather a dataset with 100K annotated images, which endow VLMs with remarkable capabilities, such as accurately generating BACON, transforming prompts into BACON format, envisioning scenarios in the style of BACONr, and dynamically modifying elements within BACON through interactive dialogue and more. Wide representative experiments, including detection, VQA, and image generation tasks, tell BACON as a lifeline to achieve previous out-of-reach tasks or excel in their current cutting-edge solutions.

434. Enhanced Second-Harmonic Generation in Thin-Film Lithium Niobate Circular Bragg Nanocavity

Abstract: Second-order nonlinearity gives rise to many distinctive physical phenomena, e.g., second-harmonic generation, which plays an important role in fundamental science and various applications. Lithium niobate, one of the most widely used nonlinear crystals, exhibits strong second-order nonlinear effects and electro-optic properties. However, its moderate refractive index and etching sidewall angle limit its capability in confining light into nanoscales, restricting its application in nanophotonics. Here, we exploit nanocavities formed by second-order circular Bragg gratings, which support resonant anapole modes to achieve highly enhanced SHG in thin film lithium niobate. The CBG nanocavity exhibits a record-high normalized conversion efficiency of $1.21\times10^{-2}\mathrm{cm^2/GW}$ under the pump intensity of $1.9$ $\mathrm{MW/cm^2}$. An SHG enhancement of $42,000$ is realized compared to TFLN. Besides, we also show s- and p-polarization independent SHG in elliptical Bragg nanocavities. 435. Modeling the Nonlinear Power Spectrum in Low-redshift HI Intensity Mapping

Abstract: We present a simulation-based framework to forecast the HI power spectrum on non-linear scales ($k\gtrsim 1\ {\rm Mpc^{-1}}$), as measured by interferometer arrays like MeerKAT in the low-redshift ($z\leq 1.0$) universe. Building on a galaxy-based HI mock catalog, we meticulously consider various factors, including the emission line profiles of HI discs and some observational settings, and explore their impacts on the HI power spectrum. While it is relatively insensitive to the profile shape of HI emission line at these scales, we identify a strong correlation with the profile width, that is, the Full Width at Half Maxima (FWHM, also known as $W_{\rm 50}$ in observations) in this work. By modeling the width function of $W_{50}$ as a function of $v_{\rm max}$, we assign each HI source a emission line profile and find that the resulting HI power spectrum is comparatively close to results from particles in the IllustrisTNG hydrodynamical simulation. After implementing $k$-space cuts matching the MeerKAT data, our prediction replicates the trend of the measurements obtained by MeerKAT at $z\approx 0.44$, though with a significantly lower amplitude. Utilizing a Monte Carlo Markov Chain sampling method, we constrain the parameter $A_{W_{\rm 50}}$ in the $W_{\rm 50}$ models and $\Omega_{\rm HI}$ with the MeerKAT measurements and find that a strong degeneracy exists between these two parameters.

436. Enabling Discriminative Reasoning in LLMs for Legal Judgment Prediction

Abstract: Legal judgment prediction is essential for enhancing judicial efficiency. In this work, we identify that existing large language models (LLMs) underperform in this domain due to challenges in understanding case complexities and distinguishing between similar charges. To adapt LLMs for effective legal judgment prediction, we introduce the Ask-Discriminate-Predict (ADAPT) reasoning framework inspired by human judicial reasoning. ADAPT involves decomposing case facts, discriminating among potential charges, and predicting the final judgment. We further enhance LLMs through fine-tuning with multi-task synthetic trajectories to improve legal judgment prediction accuracy and efficiency under our ADAPT framework. 437. Deep Learning Based Apparent Diffusion Coefficient Map Generation from Multi-parametric MR Images for Patients with Diffuse Gliomas

Abstract: Purpose: Apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps derived from diffusion weighted (DWI) MRI provides functional measurements about the water molecules in tissues. However, DWI is time consuming and very susceptible to image artifacts, leading to inaccurate ADC measurements. This study aims to develop a deep learning framework to synthesize ADC maps from multi-parametric MR images. Methods: We proposed the multiparametric residual vision transformer model (MPR-ViT) that leverages the long-range context of ViT layers along with the precision of convolutional operators. Residual blocks throughout the network significantly increasing the representational power of the model. The MPR-ViT model was applied to T1w and T2- fluid attenuated inversion recovery images of 501 glioma cases from a publicly available dataset including preprocessed ADC maps. Selected patients were divided into training (N=400), validation (N=50) and test (N=51) sets, respectively. Using the preprocessed ADC maps as ground truth, model performance was evaluated and compared against the Vision Convolutional Transformer (VCT) and residual vision transformer (ResViT) models. Results: The results are as follows using T1w + T2-FLAIR MRI as inputs: MPR-ViT - PSNR: 31.0 +/- 2.1, MSE: 0.009 +/- 0.0005, SSIM: 0.950 +/- 0.015. In addition, ablation studies showed the relative impact on performance of each input sequence. Both qualitative and quantitative results indicate that the proposed MR- ViT model performs favorably against the ground truth data. Conclusion: We show that high-quality ADC maps can be synthesized from structural MRI using a MPR- VCT model. Our predicted images show better conformality to the ground truth volume than ResViT and VCT predictions. 438. PanopticRecon: Leverage Open-vocabulary Instance Segmentation for Zero-shot Panoptic Reconstruction

Abstract: Panoptic reconstruction is a challenging task in 3D scene understanding. However, most existing methods heavily rely on pre-trained semantic segmentation models and known 3D object bounding boxes for 3D panoptic segmentation, which is not available for in-the-wild scenes. In this paper, we propose a novel zero-shot panoptic reconstruction method from RGB-D images of scenes. For zero-shot segmentation, we leverage open-vocabulary instance segmentation, but it has to face partial labeling and instance association challenges. We tackle both challenges by propagating partial labels with the aid of dense generalized features and building a 3D instance graph for associating 2D instance IDs. Specifically, we exploit partial labels to learn a classifier for generalized semantic features to provide complete labels for scenes with dense distilled features. Moreover, we formulate instance association as a 3D instance graph segmentation problem, allowing us to fully utilize the scene geometry prior and all 2D instance masks to infer global unique pseudo 3D instance ID. Our method outperforms state-of-the-art methods on the indoor dataset ScanNet V2 and the outdoor dataset KITTI-360, demonstrating the effectiveness of our graph segmentation method and reconstruction network.

439. PO-MSCKF: An Efficient Visual-Inertial Odometry by Reconstructing the Multi-State Constrained Kalman Filter with the Pose-only Theory

Abstract: Efficient Visual-Inertial Odometry (VIO) is crucial for payload-constrained robots. Though modern optimization-based algorithms have achieved superior accuracy, the MSCKF-based VIO algorithms are still widely demanded for their efficient and consistent performance. As MSCKF is built upon the conventional multi-view geometry, the measured residuals are not only related to the state errors but also related to the feature position errors. To apply EKF fusion, a projection process is required to remove the feature position error from the observation model, which can lead to model and accuracy degradation. To obtain an efficient visual-inertial fusion model, while also preserving the model consistency, we propose to reconstruct the MSCKF VIO with the novel Pose-Only (PO) multi-view geometry description. In the newly constructed filter, we have modeled PO reprojection residuals, which are solely related to the motion states and thus overcome the requirements of space projection. Moreover, the new filter does not require any feature position information, which removes the computational cost and linearization errors brought in by the 3D reconstruction procedure. We have conducted comprehensive experiments on multiple datasets, where the proposed method has shown accuracy improvements and consistent performance in challenging sequences.

Abstract: Using $(27.12\pm 0.14)\times10^8$ $\psi(3686)$ decays and data samples of $e^+e^-$ collisions with $\sqrt{s}$ from 4.130 to 4.780~GeV collected with the BESIII detector, we report the first observation of the electromagnetic Dalitz transition $h_c\to e^+e^-\eta_c$ with a statistical significance of $5.4\sigma$. We measure the ratio of the branching fractions $\frac{\mathcal{B}(h_c\rightarrow e^+e^-\eta_c)}{\mathcal{B}(h_c\rightarrow \gamma \eta_c)}$ separately for the $h_c$ samples produced via $\psi(3686)\to\pi^0h_c$ and $e^+e^-\to\pi^+\pi^-h_c$. The average ratio is determined to be $(0.59\pm0.10(\text{stat.})\pm0.04(\text{syst.}))\%$, where the uncertainty includes both statistical and systematic components.

Abstract: Large language models (LLMs) have become the foundation of many applications, leveraging their extensive capabilities in processing and understanding natural language. While many open-source LLMs have been released with technical reports, the lack of training details hinders further research and development. This paper presents the development of YuLan, a series of open-source LLMs with $12$ billion parameters. The base model of YuLan is pre-trained on approximately $1.7$T tokens derived from a diverse corpus, including massive English, Chinese, and multilingual texts. We design a three-stage pre-training method to enhance YuLan's overall capabilities. Subsequent phases of training incorporate instruction-tuning and human alignment, employing a substantial volume of high-quality synthesized data. To facilitate the learning of complex and long-tail knowledge, we devise a curriculum-learning framework throughout across these stages, which helps LLMs learn knowledge in an easy-to-hard manner. YuLan's training is finished on Jan, 2024 and has achieved performance on par with state-of-the-art LLMs across various English and Chinese benchmarks. Abstract: Analyzing $e^+e^-$ collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $7.33~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226~GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the branching fraction of the semileptonic decay $D^+_{s}\to K^0 e^+\nu_e$ to be $(2.98\pm0.23\pm0.12)\times10^{-3}$. The $D_s^+\to K^0$ hadronic form factor is determined from the differential decay rate of $D^+_s\to K^0 e^+\nu_e$ to be $f^{K^0}_+(0)=0.636\pm0.049\pm0.013$. For both measurements, the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. The branching fraction and form factor measurements are factors of 1.6 and 1.7 more precise than the previous world averages, respectively., Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures

Abstract: Using $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at center-of-mass energies between 3.510 and 4.914GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 25 fb$^{-1}$, we measure the Born cross sections for the process $e^+e^-\to K^-\bar{\Xi}^+\Lambda/\Sigma^{0}$ at thirty-five energy points with a partial-reconstruction strategy. By fitting the dressed cross sections of $e^+e^-\to K^-\bar{\Xi}^+\Lambda/\Sigma^{0}$, evidence for $\psi(4160) \to K^{-}\bar\Xi^{+}\Lambda$ is found for the first time with a significance of 4.4$\sigma$, including systematic uncertainties. No evidence for other possible resonances is found. In addition, the products of electronic partial width and branching fraction for all assumed resonances decaying into $K^{-}\bar\Xi^{+}\Lambda/\Sigma^{0}$ are determined., Comment: 26 pages,5 tables, 4 figures, consistent with the publication in JHEP07(2024)258

Abstract: Using $e^+e^-$ annihilation data sets corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.5 $\text{fb}^{-1}$, collected with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.600 and 4.699 GeV, we report the first measurements of the absolute branching fractions $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+\to pK_{L}^{0})=(1.67 \pm 0.06 \pm 0. 04)\%$, $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+\to pK_{L}^{0}\pi^+\pi^-)=(1.69 \pm 0.10 \pm 0.05)\%$, and $\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+\to pK_{L}^{0}\pi^0)=(2.02 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.05)\%$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Combining with the known branching fractions of $\Lambda_c^+ \to pK_{S}^{0}$, $\Lambda_c^+ \to pK_{S}^{0}\pi^+\pi^-$, and $\Lambda_c^+ \to pK_{S}^{0}\pi^0$, we present the first measurements of the $K_{S}^{0}$-$K_{L}^{0}$ asymmetries $R(\Lambda_c^+, K_{S,L}^0X) = \frac{\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+ \to K_{S}^{0} X) - \mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+ \to K_{L}^{0} X)}{\mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+ \to K_{S}^{0} X) + \mathcal{B}(\Lambda_c^+ \to K_{L}^{0} X)}$ in charmed baryon decays: $R(\Lambda_c^+, pK_{S,L}^0) = -0.025 \pm 0.031$, $R(\Lambda_c^+, pK_{S,L}^0\pi^+\pi^-) = -0.027 \pm 0.048$, and $R(\Lambda_c^+, pK_{S,L}^0\pi^0) =-0.015 \pm 0.046$. Abstract: We perform the first amplitude analysis of $D^+_s \to \pi^+\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ decays, based on data samples of electron-positron collisions recorded with the BESIII detector at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 7.33~fb$^{-1}$. We report the observation of $D_{s}^{+} \to f_0(980)\rho(770)^{+}$ with a statistical significance greater than 10$\sigma$ and determine the branching fractions $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\pi^+\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0|_{{\rm non}-\eta})=(2.04\pm0.08_{\rm stat.}\pm0.05_{\rm syst.})\%$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\eta\pi^+)=(1.56\pm0.09_{\rm stat.}\pm0.04_{\rm syst.})\%$. Moreover, we measure the relative branching fraction between $\phi\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ and $\phi\to K^+K^-$ to be $\frac{\mathcal{B}(\phi(1020) \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)}{\mathcal{B}(\phi(1020) \to K^+K^-)}=0.230 \pm 0.014_{\rm stat.} \pm 0.010_{\rm syst.}$, which deviates from the world average value by more than $4\sigma$.

Abstract: Based on 368.5 pb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at center-of-mass energies 4.914 and 4.946 GeV by the BESIII detector, the $e^+e^- \to \phi\chi_{c1}(3872)$ process is searched for the first time. No significant signal is observed and the upper limits at the 90\% confidence level on the product of the Born cross section $\sigma(e^+e^- \to \phi\chi_{c1}(3872))$ and the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}[\chi_{c1}(3872)\to\pi^+\pi^- J/\psi]$ at 4.914 and 4.946 GeV are set to be 0.85 and 0.96 pb, respectively. These measurements provide useful information for the production of the $\chi_{c1}(3872)$ at $e^+e^-$ collider and deepen our understanding about the nature of this particle., Comment: 11 pages, 3 figures

Abstract: Using a sample of $(10087\pm 44)\times10^{6}$ $J/\psi$ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the decay $X(1870)\to K^+ K^-\eta$ via the $J/\psi\to \omega K^+ K^- \eta$ process for the first time. No significant $X(1870)$ signal is observed. The upper limit on the branching fraction of the decay $ J/\psi\to \omega X(1870) \to\omega K^+ K^- \eta$ is determined to be $9.55\times 10^{-7}$ at the $90\%$ confidence level. In addition, the branching faction $B(J/\psi\to\omega K^+ K^- \eta)$ is measured to be $(3.33\pm0.02(\rm{stat.})\pm 0.12(\rm{syst.}))\times 10^{-4}$.

Abstract: Based on $2.7 \times 10^9~\psi(3686)$ decays collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative decay $\psi(3686)\to\gamma2(\pi^{+}\pi^{-})\eta$ is investigated to measure properties of S- and P-wave charmonium states. The branching fraction of the decay $\eta_{c}(1S) \to 2(\pi^{+}\pi^{-})\eta$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $\eta_c(1S)$ and non-$\eta_c(1S)$ processes, is measured in both destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the $\eta_{c}(1S)$ are measured to be $M=(2984.14 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.38)$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $\Gamma=(28.82 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.82)$ MeV, respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the $\chi_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ and the $\eta_{c}(2S)$ to $2(\pi^{+}\pi^{-})\eta$ are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the $\eta_{c}(2S)$ and $\eta_{c}(1S)$ decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays.

Abstract: The $J/\psi, \psi(3686) \to \Sigma^0 \bar{\Sigma}^{0}$ processes and subsequent decays are studied using the world's largest $J/\psi$ and $\psi(3686)$ data samples collected with the BESIII detector. The strong-$CP$ symmetry is tested in the decays of the $\Sigma^0$ hyperons for the first time by measuring the decay parameters, $\alpha_{\Sigma^0} = -0.0017 \pm 0.0021 \pm 0.0018$ and $\bar{\alpha}_{\Sigma^0} = 0.0021 \pm 0.0020 \pm 0.0022$. The weak-$CP$ test is performed in the subsequent decays of their daughter particles $\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$. Also for the first time, the transverse polarizations of the $\Sigma^0$ hyperons in $J/\psi$ and $\psi(3686)$ decays are observed with opposite directions, and the ratios between the S-wave and D-wave contributions of the $J/\psi, \psi(3686) \to \Sigma^0 \bar{\Sigma}^{0}$ decays are obtained. These results are crucial to understand the decay dynamics of the charmonium states and the production mechanism of the $\Sigma^0-\bar{\Sigma}^0$ pairs.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the integrated luminosity of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at a center-of-mass energy of $E_{\rm cm} = 3.773$~GeV. The integrated luminosities of the data sets taken from December 2021 to June 2022, from November 2022 to June 2023, and from October 2023 to February 2024 are determined to be $4.995 \pm 0.019$~fb$^{-1}$, $8.157 \pm 0.031$~fb$^{-1}$, and $4.191 \pm 0.016$~fb$^{-1}$, respectively, by analyzing large angle Bhabha scattering events. The uncertainties are dominated by systematic effects and the statistical uncertainties are negligible. Our results provide essential input for future analyses and precision measurements.
