- Abstract
We present a measurement of the branching ratio of the CP violating decay KL->pi+pi- performed by the KLOE experiment at the phi factory DAFNE. We use 328 pb-1 of data collected in 2001 and 2002, corresponding to ~ 150 million tagged KL mesons. We find BR(KL->pi+pi-) = $(1.963 +/- 0.012 +/- 0.017)x 10^-3. This branching ratio measurement is fully inclusive of final-state radiation. Using the above result, we determine the modulus of the amplitude ratio |\eta_{+-}| to be (2.219 +/- 0.013)x 10^{-3} and |\epsilon| to be (2.216 +/- 0.013)x 10^{-3}., Comment: Subitted to Phys. Lett. KLOE Collaboration and KLOE Collaboration
- Abstract
We describe the method of measuring the integrated luminosity of the $e^+e^-$ collider DA$\Phi$NE, the Frascati $\phi-$factory. The measurement is done with the KLOE detector selecting large angle Bhabha scattering events and normalizing them to the effective cross section. The $e^+e^- \to e^+e^-(\gamma)$ cross section is calculated using different event generators which account for the $O(\alpha)$ radiative initial and final state corrections, and the $\phi$ resonance contribution. The accuracy of the measurement is 0.6%, where 0.3% comes from systematic errors related to the event counting and 0.5% from theoretical evaluations of the cross section., Comment: Submitted to Eur. - Abstract
We present the first observation of quantum interference in the process phi -> KS KL ->pi+pi-pi+pi-. This analysis is based on data collected with the KLOE detector at the e^+e^- collider DAFNE in 2001--2002 for an integrated luminosity of about 380pb^-1. Fits to the distribution of Delta t, the difference between the two kaon decay times, allow tests of the validity of quantum mechanics and CPT symmetry. No deviations from the expectations of quantum mechanics and CPT symmetry have been observed. New or improved limits on various decoherence and CPT violation parameters have been obtained, Comment: submitted to Physics Letter B one number changed old:gamma=(1.1+2.9-2.4)10^-21 GeV new:(1.3+2.8-2.4)10^-21GeV corrected typos

KLOE Collaboration and KLOE Collaboration
- Abstract
We have measured the fully inclusive K+ -> mu+nu(gamma) absolute branching ratio with the KLOE experiment at DAFNE, the Frascati Phi-factory. From some 865,283 K+ -> mu+nu(gamma) decays obtained from a sample of about 5.2x10^8 Phi-meson decays, we find BR(K+ -> mu+ nu (gamma)) = 0.6366 +-0.0009(stat.) +-0.0015(syst.), corresponding to an overall fractional error of 0.27%. Using recent lattice results on the decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons one can obtain an estimate for the CKM mixing matrix element |Vus|=0.2223+-0.0026., Comment: Corrected typos

- Abstract
We measured, with the KLOE detector, the spectrum of pi+pi- invariant mass in a sample of 6.7 x 10^5 e+e- --> pi+pi-g events with the photon at large polar angle (theta_g>45^o) at a centre of mass energy sqrt(s) around the phi mass. We observe a clear contribution from the intermediate process phi --> f0(980)g. A sizeable effect is also observed in the distribution of the forward-backeard asymmetry. We use different theoretical models to fit the spectrum and we determine the f_0 mass and coupling constants to the phi, to pi+pi- and to KK., Comment: 15 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Phys.Lett.B

KLOE Collaboration and KLOE Collaboration
- Abstract
The KLOE experiment running at the phi-factory DAPHNE has collected ~ 450 pb^(-1) in the 2001--2002 data taking. We report preliminary results on light meson spectroscopy based on this data sample; particles are all produced through phi radiative decays. The nature of f0(980) and a0(980) is investigated by studying the shape of the resulting mass spectra, which is sensitive to their structure. A detailed study of the eta --> pi pi pi dynamics through a Dalitz plot analysis gives the possibility to extract information on the quark mass difference. Finally, the branching ratio for the eta --> pi0 gamma gamma decay is compared with previous measurements and with the expectations from Chiral Perturbation Theory., Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, proceedings of "Rencontres de Moriond 2005 - QCD and hadronic interactions"

- Abstract
Recent results obtained by the KLOE experiment operating at DA$\Phi$NE, the Frascati $\phi$-factory, are presented. They mainly concern neutral kaon decays including the $K_L$ dominant branching ratios, the $K_L$ lifetime and the extraction of the $CKM$ parameter $V_{us}$ from the $K_L$ semileptonic decays and lifetime. The best world upper limit on $K_S \to \pppo$ channel is also presented, Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures. Proceedings of the Moriond EW Conference 2004

- Abstract
We present a measurement of the KL lifetime using the KLOE detector. From a sample of 4 x 10^8 KS KL pairs following the reaction e+ e- -> phi -> KS KL we select 15 x 10^6 KL -> p0 p0 p0 decays tagged by KS -> pi+ pi- events. From a fit of the proper time distribution we find tau_L = (50.92 +- 0.17{stat} +- 0.25{syst})$ ns. This is the most precise measurement of the KL lifetime performed to date., Comment: 14 pages, 14 figures

- Abstract
From a sample of about 10^9 Phi mesons produced at DAFNE, we have selected KL mesons tagged by observing KS->pi+pi- decays. We present results on the major KL branching ratios, including those of the semileptonic decays needed for the determination of Vus. These branching ratio measurements are fully inclusive with respect to final-state radiation. The KL lifetime has also been measured., Comment: Submitted to Phys. Lett. B

We have studied, with the KLOE detector at the DA$\Phi$NE $\Phi$-Factory, the dynamics of the decay $\eta\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ using $\eta$ mesons from the decay $\phi\to\eta\gamma$ for an integrated luminosity ${\mathcal L}$ = 450 pb$^{-1}$. From a fit to the Dalitz plot density distribution we obtain a precise measurement of the slope parameters. An alternative parametrization relates the $\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ slopes to that for $\eta\to 3\pi^0$ showing the consistency of KLOE results for both channels. We also obtain the best confirmation of the $C$-invariance in the $\eta\to\pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$ decay., Comment: 15 pages, 7 figures

The KLOE Experiment at the factory DAψNE has measured the cross section σ (e+e− → π +π −γ (γ) using two different selection criteria: requiring the photon emission at small polar angle and detecting the photon at large polar angle in the calorimeter. Using a theoretical radiator function we extract the cross section σ (e+e− → π +π −) and obtain the π contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment. Results presented come from the analysis of 240 pb-1 collected in 2002, with improved systematic uncertainty with respect to the published KLOE analysis.

Recent KLOE measurements allowing precision tests of lepton flavor universality are here briefly described, with particular emphasis on the analysis for the ratio of branching fractions for the K ± → e± e and K± → μ±μ decays. The sensitivity of these tests, all obtained from the study of kaon decays, is compared to that from other sources.

KLOE recent experimental results on KL, Ks and K± decays relevant for the extraction of the CKM matrix element Vus are reported, including the preliminary measurement of BR(Kπ2+) presented at this conference. From a global fit using only KLOE results a value of |Vus|f+(0) = 0.21556 ± 0.00059 is obtained, where f+(0) is the form factor parametrizing the hadronic matrix element evaluated at zero momentum transfer. From the ratio of the radiative inclusive decay rates of K± → μ±ν(γ) and π± → μ±ν(γ), combined with the KLOE measurement of BR(K± → μ±ν) and the lattice calculation of the ratio of decay constants fK/fπ = 1.189(7), the value Vus/Vud = 0.2323(15) has been obtained. These results, together with Vus = 0.97372(26), are compatible at 1.5σ level with CKM matrix unitarity.

Using 328 pb−1 of data collected at DAΦNE corresponding to ~1.8 million KL → πμν decays, we have measured the Kμ3 form factor parameters. The structure of the K−π vector-current provides information about the dynamics of the strong interaction; its knowledge is necessary for evaluation of the phase-space integral required for measuring the CKM matrix element Vus and for testing lepton universality in kaon decays. Using a new parametrization for the vector and scalar form factors, we find λ+ = (25.7 ± 0.6) × 10−3, and λ0 = (14.0 ± 2.1) × 10−3. Our result for λ0, together with recent lattice calculations of fπ, fK and f(0), satisfies the Callan-Treiman relation.

We report the measurement of the ratio $\Gamma(\eta \to \pi^+\pi^-\gamma)/\Gamma(\eta \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)$ analyzing a large sample of $\phi \to \eta \gamma$ decays recorded with the KLOE experiment at the DA$\Phi$NE $e^+ e^-$ collider, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 558 pb$^{-1}$. The $\eta \to \pi^+\pi^-\gamma$ process is supposed to proceed both via a resonant contribution, mediated by the $\rho$ meson, and a non resonant direct term, connected to the box anomaly. The presence of the direct term affects the partial width value. Our result $R_{\eta}=\Gamma(\eta \to \pi^+ \pi^- \gamma)/\Gamma(\eta \to \pi^+ \pi^- \pi^0)= 0.1838\pm 0.0005_{stat} \pm 0.0030_{syst}$ is in agreement with a recent CLEO measurement, which differs by more 3 $\sigma$ from the average of previous results. We have measured the charged kaon lifetime using a sample of 15 \times 10^6 tagged kaon decays. Charged kaons were produced in pairs at the DA\PhiNE \phi-factory, e^+e^- \to \phi \to K^+ K^-. The decay of a K^+ was tagged by the production of a K^- and viceversa. The lifetime was obtained, for both charges, from independent measurements of the decay time and decay lenght distributions. From fits to the four distributions we find \tau = (12.347\pm0.030) ns., Comment: 13 pages, 14 figures

The neutral kaon system offers a unique possibility to perform fundamental tests of CPT invariance, as well as of the basic principles of quantum mechanics. The most recent limits on several kinds of possible CPT violation and decoherence mechanisms, which in some cases might be justified in a quantum gravity framework, are reviewed, including the latest results obtained by the KLOE experiment at the DAΦNE e+e- collider. No deviation from the expectations of quantum mechanics and CPT symmetry is observed, while the precision of the measurements, in some cases, reaches the interesting Planck scale region.

The KLOE experiment has just collected 2.5 fb−1 of e + e − collisions at center of mass energy around the φ mass. Radiative decays are used to produce large statistical samples of light scala and pseudoscalar mesons. The analysis of the first 450 pb−1 is almost completed. For the scala sector we have investigated the properties of these particles by studying their invariant mass shapes or the event density in the Dalitz plot. With the same data set, the η mass and the ratio BR(φ → η′γ)/BR(φ → ηγ) have been measured. From this last quantity we extract the most precise determination of the η/η′ mixing angle, which is strictly related to the η′ gluon content.

The Kloe experiment has collected an integrated luminosity ~ 500 pb–1 up to now, which means ~ 1.65×109 φ decays. The huge amount of events allowed us to measure rare φ decays. We measured the radiative decays of the φ meson into π0, η and η′(958). These measurements are relevant to assess the mixing in the pseudoscalar nonet as well as to evaluate the gluon content in the η′(958). Moreover also the radiative decays into π0 π0 γ and η π0 γ have been measured. These decays are dominated by the final states f0(980) and a0(980). The measurement of the branching ratios and of the π0 π0 or η π0 invariant mass spectrum helps to understand the controversial nature of the above scalar mesons. The KLOE experiment has provided precise measurements of the branching ratio of the main neutral and charged kaon decay modes, of the Kl and the K± lifetimes, and of the Kl vector and scalar form factors. We present a description of the above measurements and an overall fit of all our data, with particular attention to correlations. These data provide the basis for the determination of the value of the CKM matrix element Vus and a test of the unitarity of the quark mixing matrix. In addition our first measurement of the charge asimmetry in KS semileptonic decays, AS, gaves us the possibility to contribute to the knowledge of () and testing the CPT symmetry through the Bell Steinberger relation.
