HYDROCEPHALUS ,REFLECTANCE ,ELECTRIC fields ,HEAD ,MAGNETIC fields - Abstract
Electromagnetic simulations are an important tool for the safety assessment of RF coils. They are a useful resource for MRI RF coil designers, especially when complemented with experimental measurements and testing using physical phantoms. Regular‐shaped (spherical/cylindrical) homogeneous phantoms are the MRI standard for RF testing but are somewhat inaccurate when compared with anthropomorphic anatomies, especially at high frequencies. In this work, using a recently developed anthropomorphic heterogeneous human head phantom, studies were performed to analyze the scattering parameters (S‐parameters) and the electric and magnetic field distributions using (1) the B1+ field mapping method on a 7 T human MRI scanner and (2) numerical full‐wave electromagnetic simulations. All studies used the following: a recently developed six‐compartment refillable 3D‐printed anthropomorphic head phantom (developed from MRI scans obtained in vivo), where the phantom itself is filled in its entirety with either heterogeneous loading, or homogeneous brain or water loading,in vivo imaging, anda commercial homogeneous spherical water phantom. Our results determined that the calculated S‐parameters for all the anthropomorphic head phantom models were comparable to the model that is based on the volunteer (within 17% difference of the reflection coefficient value) but differed for the commercial homogeneous spherical water phantom (within 45% difference). The experimentally measured B1+ field maps of the anthropomorphic heterogeneous and homogeneous brain head phantoms were most comparable to the in vivo measured values. The numerical simulations also show that both the anthropomorphic homogeneous water and brain phantom models were less accurate in terms of electric field intensities/distributions when compared with the segmented in‐vivo‐based head model and the anthropomorphic heterogeneous head phantom model. The presented data highlights the differences between the physical phantoms/phantom models, and the in vivo measurements/segmented in‐vivo‐based head model. The results demonstrate the usefulness of 3D‐printed anthropomorphic phantoms for RF coil evaluation and testing. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

SLIT lamp microscopy ,EYE abnormalities ,INBORN errors of metabolism ,OPTICAL coherence tomography ,DEVELOPMENTAL delay ,VISUAL acuity ,INTELLECTUAL disabilities - Abstract
Classic homocystinuria (HCU), or cystathionine beta-synthase (CBS) deficiency, is a rare inborn error of methionine metabolism. Main clinical features may include skeletal and vascular manifestations, developmental delay, intellectual disability and eye disorders. This is an observational and retrospective study aiming at describing eye abnormalities presented by a cohort of late-diagnosed HCU patients. Data regarding ophthalmological evaluation included visual acuity, refraction, biomicroscopy, Perkins tonometry, fundus examination, retinography, biometry, ocular ultrasound, optical coherence tomography, anterior segment photography and topography. Ten patients with HCU (20 eyes) were included. The most frequent findings were ectopia lentis(n = 20) and myopia (n = 9). Biometry, ultrasound, OCT and topography findings were available for four patients. One patient had keratoconus; one had abnormal retinal pigmentation; and two had lens surgery scars with irregular astigmatism. Eye abnormalities are very frequent in late-diagnosed HCU patients. The presence of ectopia lentis should always raise the diagnostic hypothesis of HCU. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract

The study made by the Federation of Industries from Rio de Janeiro - FIRJAN pointed the growth of the Public Relations profession in Brazil between 2015 and 2017 years associated to the concern in organizations with the understanding by the consumers in the promotion and maintenance of the image (FIRJAN, 2019). The hiring of this kind of professional may be recognized as an intellectual investment cost to the organizations (Bolaño, 2002), reflecting directly in the formal labor activity. The study is reflexive to the Public Relations. First, because it says that the growth of the formal labor in Public Relations is connected to the impact in the digitization and experience value of the consumer. It implies in the graduation and qualification of the professionals inside the market. Second, because it takes to discuss the intense structural transformation of the profession: structural; if it is realized the changes in the position of the profession in economic activities and, consequently, in form of constitution of the profession while a know-how technique; intense, if it can be analyzed in time and in the quantity of formal labor constituted by the profession in Brazil. From these elements, the present research broadens the labor analysis in Public Relations. The methodologic approach made in this investigation used the qualitative and quantitative procedures. Qualitative, by the bibliographic review to build the theoretical framework about a paper for and in the economic system, as the occupation particularities of the Public Relations and the recent transformations. Quantitative, the research shows the view of the formal labor of the public relations through de Annual Relation of Social Information from Economic Ministry (Brazil), in a time analysis from 2013 to 2018. It was specifically analyzed the occupation of the Public Relations inside the National Classification of the Economic Activities (CNAE), while there is formal labor in public and private organizations. The study discussions point to a more specific view to quantity, the sectors of actuation, the salary dimension and the possibility to realize some transformation in the professional act in the economy of Brazil. Among 2013 and 2018 almost two thousand jobs were created in the area. In 2013, five sectors corresponded 53% of the occupations (1. Industry of transformation; 2. Administrative activities; 3. Technical and scientific activities; 4. Business and vehicles reparation; 5. Public administration). In 2018, one more time, five sectors corresponded 54% of the occupations (1. Technical and scientific activities; 2. Education; 3. Industry of transformation; 4. Administrative activities; and 5. Other service activities). By the organization side, it was realized that the number public relations bonds are an allocation of the professional sources with the capacity to comprehend and use knowledge pro the organizations. However, this knowledge was not implied in the sectors which generate material products constituted after a process of factory transformation, as it was spread in the conception in the labor value since XVIII and XIX centuries. The growth in number of jobs was in a sector which the final product did not constitute in a material physical good, but in services which effort the ampliation in the competitivity and conflict resolution generated in (re) production in economy. The public relation professional is, as a fact, part of a group intelligence in service of capitalist accumulation (Bolaño, 2002). The collected data corroborate to the perception of the professional in the broadening of the competitivity and in the resolution of conflicts generated in the (re) production of the economies. Equity investment decisions are partially based on expected share price increases. Other factors may influence an investment decision, such as risk, expected dividends and portfolio diversification. In this perspective, one must establish an opinion regarding the value (or expected value) of the issuer. According to Damodaran (2012), three approaches can be used to value a company: option pricing models, discounted cash flow models and relative valuation. Within each approach, different models can be used. Most models include parameters that carry some subjectivity, such as cash flow forecasting, growth rates, market conditions and several others. This means that, even though valuation models are quantitative, valuation is subjective. "If a business is complex and subject to constant change, we’re not smart enough to predict future cash flows" - Warren Buffett. In this study we analyze and value Nestlé, the number one consumer goods company in the world in terms of sales. We then compare our valuation with the market's and conclude whether the company is under or overvalued (under the scope of our assumptions). To do so we use the following valuation methods: Free Cash Flow to the Firm (FCFF) and Relative Valuation through peer group multiples. We then compare our research to an investment bank's to understand whether the valuation (based on the assumptions we make) is realistic. Our results indicate that Nestlé shares were priced below their true value as at 31-12-2016. Therefore, we would have recommended buying the stock at that time.

Introduction The state of Minas Gerais, Brazil has no data on the prevalence of dizziness in the population and this information can be fundamental as the basis of public health policies, promotion, prevention and rehabilitation campaigns. Objective Investigate the prevalence of the symptom of dizziness in the population of Minas Gerais according to Sample Survey of Households, as well as describe the profile of interviewed individuals and the association between dizziness and socioeconomic, demographic features and health status. Methods This was a cross-sectional observational study that analyzed individuals with dizziness symptom reported in the previous month. The data entered in the Sample Survey of Households of 2011 were analyzed. An independent statistical association was determined between the selected variables and dizziness through multivariate analysis. Results Dizziness was the third major complaint among individuals who mentioned any health problems in the previous month, with an estimated population of 209,025 individuals and reported by 6.7% of symptomatic ones, with higher prevalence values only reported for the symptoms of fever and headache. Among individuals who reported dizziness, 94% were adults or elderly (p ≤ 0.001) and 63% were females (p = 0.003). A statistically significant association (p < 0.001) was observed between the response variable and the variables: self-perceived health, hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, depression, seeking or requiring medical or health care in the previous month and private health care plan or insurance. Among individuals with dizziness, 84.2% sought or required medical or health care and 80.1% did not have a private health plan or insurance in the assessed period. Conclusion The dizziness symptom was highly prevalent in the population of Minas Gerais during the assessed month of the investigation. Dizziness was prevalent in adults and the elderly and showed a statistical association with socioeconomic and demographic characteristics, as well as the assessed health status.

In recent years, there has been a strong increase in the volume of data and its respective valuation by organizations, especially in network performance monitoring applications, as seen in the Nokia Performance Manager (NPM) tool. The current situation is justified by the growth of the telecommunications sector, with the need to respond to the constant evolution of 2G, 3G and currently 4G or LTE network technologies, in the process of centralizing, processing and storing data or indicators of Network performance collected by distributed antennas in different geographic areas. In this context, the NPM tool provides the customer with a global view of the network performance in real time, through the generation of pre-configured reports and later storage for future visualizations. Given the need to store these reports for a longer period, without storage limitations, and more efficiently, traditional storage and management systems, RDBMS on disk and cache, do not best meet these needs. That said, the "In-Memory Data Grid" concept emerged as a completely distributed data platform on an in-memory architecture. In order to prove this concept, a software prototype was implemented for the report caching process, NPM functionality, using the Apache Ignite/GridGain and Apache Geode/Pivotal Gemfire technologies, and later a test environment was carried out to evaluate the two Solutions and determine what would be the ideal solution to integrate into the NPM tool.
