Abstract

Cílem této práce je prozkoumat, shrnout a uspořádat nejvýznamnějším vzdělávací technologie. Porovnat a rozdělit tyto technologie do konkrétních skupin, jako například výukový software, internetové stránky s výukovými nástroji, elektronické encyklopedie, mobilní zařízení a zařízení, jež mají pomáhat s výukou a také ji ulehčovat. Pokusit se tyto technologie uspořádat a vytvořit tak systém, který by pomohl ostatním studentům rozhodnout co je pro ně nejlepší a co by naopak byla ztráta času. Dále je také cílem vyzvednout nejužitečnější technologie a pomoci pochopit jejich účel a význam, a hlavně poukázat na jejich největší přednosti a slabosti., The aim of this work is to explore, summarize, and organise the most influential educational technologies. Furthermore, compare these technologies with each other and divide them into specific categories, such as educational software, websites with learning tools, electronic encyclopaedias, mobile devices, and devices whose main purpose are solely educational. Summarizing these technologies and putting them in an order will help other students to decide what could suit them most and what, on the other hand, has no use for them. It is also the aim to underline the most useful technologies, help to understand their basic functions and their main purposes, and most importantly show their advantages and weaknesses.

Abstract

Knowledge is getting increasingly more complex. Learners, from Kindergarten to higher education, require powerful tools to connect complex ideas. This paper explores the range of studies that investigated concept maps as learning, metacognitive, collaborative, and assessment tools to support integrating complex ideas. Research suggests that concept maps can be successfully implemented in a wide variety of settings, from K12 to higher and professional education. However, the effectiveness of concept maps depends on different factors, such as concept map training and choosing a suitable form of concept map to match the task and learner. Developing proficiency in concept mapping takes time and practice and should not be first introduced in higher education. Concept map training could start as early as Kindergarten and include concept map generation, interpretation, and revision. This paper concludes that, if implemented thoughtfully, concept maps can be versatile tools to support knowledge integration processes towards a deeper understanding of the relations and structures of complex ideas and facilitate life-long learning.

Abstract

The article main objective is to categorise the different uses teachers and students make of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) as a teaching and learning tool in technology-rich classrooms. A questionnaire about possible uses was developed following the guidelines provided by the literature review. A sample of teachers (n=278) who teach in highly technological classrooms participated in the study. Four types of educational ICT uses in the classroom turned out of the exploratory factor analysis, technology usage for: teachers' content generation and interaction, and students' content generation and interaction. Useful ideas for researchers and teachers are provided. El principal objetivo de este artículo es clasificar los diversos usos que los docentes y los alumnos hacen de las Tecnologías de la Comunicación y la Información (TIC) como herramienta de enseñanza y aprendizaje en aulas altamente dotadas de tecnología. Se desarrolló un cuestionario sobre los posibles usos siguiendo las directrices proporcionadas por la revisión de la literatura. Participaron en el estudio una muestra de profesores (n = 278) que enseñan en aulas altamente dotadas de tecnología. El análisis factorial exploratorio muestra la existencia de cuatro tipos de uso educativo de las TIC en las aulas: el profesor usa la tecnología para el contenido, el profesor usa la tecnología para la interacción, los alumnos usan la tecnología para el contenido, y los alumnos usan la tecnología para la interacción. Finalmente, se proporcionan ideas útiles para investigadores y profesores.
