Considering the increasing importance and presence of the Social Networks Sites (SNSs) in educational scenarios, this work is aimed at exploring the scientific literature on their educational use for the last years. Through a bibliometric analysis composed of 191 journal articles written in English and Spanish, found in 7 different databases (ERIC, Scopus, DOAJ, EBSCO, ISOC, REDIB, and PsycARTICLES), the following variables were analysed: database, academic journal, authorship (including number of authors, country, and institution), year of publication, Social Network Site involved, level of education, study population, and nature of the study. Results show the existence of a greater number of publications written in Spanish than in English as well as a higher interest in the topic from Spanish authors, academic journals, and institutions. Facebook and Twitter were ranked as the most popular SNSs in both English and Spanish articles. At the same time, the majority of the selected articles were focused on tertiary education and their students. Finally, Scopus was the one which hosted the largest amount of international literature (most of it framed by a qualitative research design). All in all, the scientific production analysed on the educational use of SNSs reveals a considerable, increasing, and developing interest in the present topic. Thus, several educational implications emerge with the introduction of digital scenarios, such as SNSs, in the educational environments.

Innovation and the development of knowledge in the field of scientific research is increasing exponentially, but it continues to be disjointed. It makes it difficult to keep up with state-of-the-art and to be at the forefront of research and dissemination, as well as to evaluate empirical evidence in the area of academic excellence. Recent literature reviews are frequently lacking in thoroughness and rigor and are carried out in part rather than using a specific design. This descriptive-mapping review aimed to illustrate plagiarism and research integrity literature published over a 10-year period (2010 to 2020). To achieve this goal, literature reviews were conducted to obtain relevant articles and documentation on plagiarism and its potential impact in the academic and publishing industries. Methodical searches in specific databases such as Web of Science and Scopus, including the Google Scholar Search Engine, have been undertaken to ensure the accuracy of the results. Thereafter, descriptive mapping was used to categorize qualifying articles. Over 350 titles were collected from the searches, of which 129 complete works were published in various journals during the covered period. Finally, in this review, 35 papers were eligible for inclusion. The themes were enumerated in the scholarly articles. Findings revealed a dearth of scientifically credible and relevant literature on plagiarism issues, such as the phenomenon in the academic environment, its particular specific factors and triggering causes, and the impacts of the institutional policy interventions being enforced. Although the results provided background information for the creation of a realistic guide to avoid plagiarism incidences, robust empirical and evaluative studies should be planned to identify the real implications of preventing plagiarism to uphold the credibility of scientific research and evaluate the impact of ethical issues, practices, and policies suggested by organizations and industries.

The university is faced with tensions and demands resulting from the transformations that society demands. The new public management (NGP) imposes new paradigms as far as university administration is concerned. Concomitantly, the international rankings of universities establish standards and classifications, placing the focus on access to information that should be available to interest groups. This work has been proposed as a central purpose, to describe the ways of appointing the rectors in Latin American universities, with the purpose of elaborating in theoretical terms a taxonomy that allows to differentiate and classify the universities of the region, opening the discussion on what is the most appropriate mechanism to provide the position of the highest university authority. The information used for this study was obtained from a primary source: the database of universities in Latin America; which consists of the Laws, decrees, statutes, regulations of election of authorities among others that regulate 1080 institutions of the Ibero-American region. This information establishes a taxonomy of four types that attempt to simplify and demonstrate the different forms of organization of the institutions. These allow to describe the degree of participation of the interest groups in the process of appointing the rector. The proposed taxonomy confirms the existence of dissimilar mechanisms for appointing the rector and that these are dependent on the type of ownership of the institution.

The present study intends to determine the ways followed and misconceptions held in the studies of phenomenological research design by analysing the theses in the field of educational administration. By using the database of the Turkish Council of Higher Education Thesis Center, forty master's and ten doctoral theses conducted between the years 2010-2017 in the field of education administration were reviewed and analysed methodologically. The results indicated that researchers did not benefit from international literature on phenomenological research, the aims and objectives of the theses were not appropriate for employing phenomenology, the study groups of the theses were structured in an unfavourable way, the interview questions used to collect data were not directed to the essence of experience, appropriate methods for the process of data analysis process were conducted, and the interpretation of the findings included problematic points. These misconceptions held in phenomenological research were mostly due to not dominating the philosophical underpinnings of phenomenology. Therefore, the researchers planning to conduct their research under the skin of phenomenology need to read enough about and to gain insights into the phenomenological research design before the beginning of their studies.

It is often assumed that problem-based learning is an effective approach for fostering the development and/or improvement of students' critical thinking. To shed light on the connection between problem-based learning and critical thinking, this scoping review maps out how the notion of critical thinking is conceptualized in relation to problem-based learning in the literature about problem-based learning in the context of higher education. Eight academic databases were searched and a total of 66 peer-reviewed articles were identified as eligible for review. Our findings indicate that there is a plurality of positions regarding the meaning of critical thinking and the concept's relation to problem-based learning. What is more, more often than not, no explicit explanation for why this connection is thought to exist is presented.

This paper focuses on a fairly new motivational technique, the so-called Gamification, which consists of introducing game mechanics in non-game environments to promote motivation and engagement. By the turn of the 21rst century, Gamification took off in the business field and soon after became an attractive concept for researchers and professionals in education as it appears to be an increasingly popular method to motivate learners. Nevertheless, it is still a nascent field in terms of empirical evidence available to firmly support its educational benefits. This paper intends to shed some more light on this topic through a comprehensive review of literature published in the most prominent journals. The present study is framed within the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA) in higher education and Computer-Assisted Language Learning, and focuses on the effects of gamified learning environments on student's motivation and learning. A Meta-analysis method was used to explore relevant empirical research published between 2011 and 2019. After reviewing a corpus of 68 papers drawn from the leading databases Scopus and Web Of Science, and from which only 15 could be included in the study, we can point out two main findings: (i) there is still very limited literature in the field of SLA and, (ii) results seem to be predominantly positive in terms of motivation and engagement but only a few studies confirm clear interconnections with learning outcomes. The results suggest a lack of solid correlations between Gamification, motivation and cognitive processes.

People starting cybersecurity careers have three main avenues for achieving entry-level job qualifications: learning in-demand skills, earning industry certifications, and graduating with a college degree. Though people can pursue skills, certificates, and degrees together, financial and time constraints often make people focus their efforts to what they feel would help them most in their careers. Those seeking careers in information systems are reasonably asking themselves if the cost of a college degree is a worthwhile investment. In this paper, we analyze 11,938 entry-level job postings for cybersecurity jobs on Dice.com to determine required and desired qualifications. The results show that 7,177 (60%) of entry-level cybersecurity jobs require a college degree in a related field. Of those, 2,851 (24% of jobs) prefer a graduate degree. 3,406 (29% of jobs) require a certification. Structured query language (SQL), testing, Java, Excel, Oracle, consulting, and database skills are listed in 16% of jobs. The most popular certifications are "Certified Information Systems Security Professional CISSP" (listed in 4.8% of jobs), "Information Technology Infrastructure Library ITIL" (listed in 3.9% of jobs), "Security+" (listed in 2.9% of jobs), "Project Management Professional PMP" (listed in 2.8% of jobs) and "Information Assurance Technical IAT" (listed in 2.4% of jobs). The selected snapshot data show that college degrees are required for 60% of jobs--evidence that college degrees are still in high demand for the field of cybersecurity. However, employers are also looking for certifications and skills.

The article argues that the Aristotelian appeals ("logos, ethos, and pathos") can be taught through the use of Twitter as an educational tool to build connections between everyday informal writing on social media and academic writing. It highlights the utilization of Twitter in English second/foreign language (ESL/EFL) educational settings for supporting learners' rhetorical awareness and understanding of different writing genres. The main purpose of this article is to provide pedagogical implications and future research potentials on the use of Twitter in ESL/EFL educational settings. The Aristotelian appeals are discussed as the framework for the analysis of Twitter's content in ESL/EFL educational contexts. In this regard, this research question is addressed: How can Twitter serve as a tool for teaching the fundamentals of writing competency in terms of the Aristotelian appeals ("logos," "ethos," and "pathos") in ESL/EFL educational settings? To explore the current state of research and inform future studies, the researcher reviews selected academic articles on the use of Twitter in ESL/EFL language classes. All articles were accessed using Google Scholar, ERIC, and ProQuest databases. The researcher examines empirical studies published in peer-reviewed journals as well as non-empirical studies. This article addresses Twitter users' constructions of "logos," "ethos," and "pathos," and presents some of the accessible characteristics of Twitter. Also, it briefly provides pedagogical implications of understanding the Aristotelian appeals through Twitter in ESL/EFL educational contexts that can support the teaching and learning processes. Lastly, the researcher proposes potential research directions for Twitter use in ESL/EFL educational settings.

This study aims to determine trends in research on multicultural education in Turkish and Eric databases, to compare and to discuss them. Within the scope of the study, research on multicultural education in the International Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) and ULAKBIM TR Index (Turkey National Academic Network and Information Center) databases were included. In the study, 308 articles reached in ERIC database and 60 articles in ULAKBIM database were analyzed using content analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there has been an increase in multicultural education publications in ULAKBIM TR Index since 2015 and a decrease in the ERIC database. In Turkey, it is seen that there is a tendency to determine attitudes, perceptions and opinions towards multicultural education with larger sample groups; nevertheless, there is a tendency to multicultural education practices and experiences with smaller groups in the ERIC database.

The time-span of completing the minor thesis in Indonesian undergraduate programs has been one of the significant issues in higher education accreditation and quality insurance. Therefore, it is important to assess the possible determinants such as gender, research approach, and type of research, which might effect the students' completion period of minor thesis ("Skripsi"). This study used quantitative approach and involved 719 university students. The data was collected from the Faculty database from 2014 to 2017 and Mann Whitney U test and Crosstab analysis were applied to analyze the data. The result of this study showed that gender and research approach did not significantly contribute to the students' minor thesis completion period. Additionally, students who chose independent research, as their type of research, were able to finish their "Skripsi" faster than those who conducted joint research.

Information Communication and Technology has made a lot of investments to the rapid transformation of modern society. The goal of the study was to establish a highly customized student information and accounting system in Indonesia to promote the enrolment and accounting phase and to meet the needs of all clients and employees in the provision of line services. This study applied the context of Computer Science Research for Information Systems, while describing the problems faced in the enrolment and accounting phase, specifying the analysis purpose, planning and implementing the program, installing and testing it, and reporting the results of the study. The digitalized enrolment system works in numerous computer units over a system with a shared database for data storage. It has distinct embedded features that promote the needs of frontline service providers and customers. The aggregate feature of the enrolment system has increased the efficiency of the frontline providers, as most of the processes are automated and computerised. The results of the survey, along with service quality, precision of documents and records and promptness, demonstrate that tine enrolment system is significant and effective instrument for delivering front-line services. Hence, improving the quality service of higher education institution in Indonesia through system development will provide better services offered to clienteles.

The video-game industry has become a significant force in the business and entertainment world. Video games have become so widespread and pervasive that they are now considered a part of the mass media, a common method of storytelling and representation. Despite the massive popularity of video games, their increasing variety, and the diversification of the player base, until very recently little attention was devoted to understanding how playing video games affects the way people think and collaborate across cultures. This paper examines the recent literature regarding the impact of video games on players from an intercultural perspective. Sixty-two studies are identified whose aim is to analyze behavioral-change, content understanding, knowledge acquisition, and perceptional impacts. Their findings suggest that video games have the potential to help to acquire cultural knowledge and develop intercultural literacy, socio-cultural literacy, cultural awareness, self-awareness, and the cultural understanding of different geopolitical spaces, to reinforce or weaken stereotypes, and to some extent also facilitate the development of intercultural skills. The paper provides valuable insights to the scholars, teachers, and practitioners of cultural studies, education, social studies, as well as to the researchers, pointing out areas for future research.

The importance of mobile technologies in the educational process has directed the attention of many researchers to this field and has created an important body of academic research. The main purpose of this study is to determine the effect of mobile learning on students' learning performance. In this study, the meta-analysis method was employed. The literature was reviewed through different databases in order to access the relevant researches within the scope of the study. After reviewing the literature, study aspects and inclusion criteria were applied. The studies to be included in the meta-analysis were examined, and 104 studies conducted between the years of 2009 and 2019 that met the inclusion criteria were subjected to a meta-analysis. Education level, course/subject and the implementation period of the studies were determined as moderating variables. The sample of the study consists of 7,568 participants. As a result of the analysis performed according to the random effects model, the mean effect size value was calculated as 0.85 with an error of 0.07. It was determined that there was no publication bias in the meta-analysis. According to the results of the moderator analysis, it was found that the effect of mobile learning on the learning performance of the students did not change according to the education level and the implementation period, but it changed according to the course/subject. In addition to the aforementioned research results, this article also contains descriptive analysis of the results of the studies included in the meta-analysis.

Dissemination of research is a critical part of the research process. Researchers in agricultural education have long embraced this process. However, the Internet has changed the ways in which research is disseminated, with the potential for much broader impacts around the world. The purpose of this study was to provide a benchmark of the current impact of research in agricultural education by examining how journals and researchers in the field fare on commonly used research metrics. It was concluded that many of the common journals in agricultural education are not even listed in the indices that provide metrics to assess journals. It was also concluded that many researchers in agricultural education are not taking steps to provide public profiles of their research and thus do not have individual researcher metrics. In some ways, we are invisible to the broader scientific community. Practical suggestions are provided to elevate the reputations of our journals and the reputations of our researchers.

This research aims at finding out the implementation formula of entrepreneurship education at the university. The searching of electronic journal articles by using database such as: JSTOR, SAGE, Proquest, Elsevier, Emerald Insigth, and Google Scholar from 2009 until the end of October 2019. The keywords: "entrepreneurship education," "entrepreneurial" and "unemployment." The implementation formula of entrepreneurship education is done through the curriculum reformations and improvements, the creation of extracurricular activities and entrepreneurship programs, the empowerment of human resource development for entrepreneur lecturer (teachers), the adequacy of infrastructures and financial supports, the strengthening of cooperation with associates, the alumni empowerment and also the support of government. The implementation formula of entrepreneurship education at the university is able to shape the character, improve the habits, attitude, and the passions of the university students to be entrepreneurs and also increase the number of new entrepreneurs in Indonesia that will be a solution of intellectual unemployment problems.

This design case discusses the complex collaborative design reasoning processes involved in developing an online interactive learning tool for learners of all ages to explore and understand the role of flagellate plants in our society. The learning tool consists of a main website (the "Voyager") and an interactive, dynamic map of the evolutionary relationships between thousands of flagellate plant species (the customized "OneZoom" web application). The design and development of this innovative learning tool required expertise in collaborative design, design reasoning, project management, theories of learning and instructional strategies, software development, and web usability. Collaboration platforms used by the project team involved "GitHub" and "Slack." Domain knowledge needed to complete the project included botany (flagellate plants), web programming ("Python" and "JavaScript"), and database management ("MySQL"). The project included a team of international experts who negotiated design strategies and solutions over the course of a year and produced and improved prototypes until converging on the final product. This article explains the challenges faced during these processes and presents solutions and lessons learned from this experience.

Even if the topics are abstract in biology education, they are very suitable for association to daily life. The context-based learning approach is one of the approaches that is student-centered and provides a connection between daily life and scientific knowledge. Research has determined that the context-based learning approach increases the students' learning about the subject, their interest, and motivation by using examples from daily life. In Turkey, the context-based approach first began to be used in chemistry education. This approach was first applied in biology education in 2008. Nineteen theses and articles completed regarding the context-based approach in biology education in Turkey were encountered when researched. All of these studies were done by using experimental methods. It was determined in research conducted with students of different age groups that context-based learning has a positive effect on motivation as well as on academic success. The effect of the method can be investigated by studying different subjects within biology and with different sample groups.

The following paper makes the case for a recommended practice of depositing undergraduate student dissertations into Higher Education Institute (HEI) institutional research repositories. In discussing this, the reasons for doing so, and a comprehensive discussion of the benefits and challenges (motivationally, logistically and ethically) for the discipline, students and supervisors are highlighted, along with ways in which the challenges may be addressed. Guidelines to simplify, and therefore encourage, greater rates of submission of undergraduate dissertation research into institutional research repositories are noted, along with the potential consequences for the Research Excellence Framework and Teaching Excellence Framework exercises. It is the author's hope that this paper will stimulate further discussion of this idea, including bringing to light considerations not addressed here.

The interaction of education and technology affects the developments occurring in two areas and the development in education increases the speed of technological developments. Educational technology is the functionalization of the scientific knowledge produced in educational sciences and its application into practice. In this research, the content analysis of the studies conducted in Turkey and other countries in the last 5 years is presented in order to determine the current trends in Educational Technology Research Studies. Within the scope of the purposive sample, the studies published between 2015 and 2020 in the field of Educational Technology Research Studies and included in the databases and journals were examined and interpretations were made. Fifteen research criteria were determined within the context of content analysis. These criteria are as follows: index, country, university, department, year of publication, number of authors, research area, method, educational level, sample group, sample number, data collection method, number of bibliographies, analysis techniques and research trends. SPSS 24 program was used in the analysis of the data and the obtained data were presented in the related tables. The data were interpreted based on percentage and frequency. After making general explanations under the tables, the similarities and differences in the studies were analyzed in detail using a meta-analysis method. As a result, it was revealed that the most emphasized issue within the scope of the research area is the adequacy of using Educational Technologies.

This qualitative research is a descriptive study aiming to analyze the graduate studies in different disciplines prepared for music evaluation and to reveal the current situation in Turkey. The sample of the study involves 25 graduate theses in different disciplines which are in the database of the National Thesis Center and defended in line with music education field. These theses were examined with content analysis and 10 criteria as follows: thesis type, its university, recearcher's gender, publication year, title of advisor, its institute, its department, research area, research model and research class. The findings were interpreted in tables by calculating the frequency and percentage. The findings reveal that 76% of the examined theses in the scope of this study are master's (MA), 20% doctorate (PhD) and 4% specialty in medicine theses. Most of the MA theses were prepared in Hacettepe University, and most of the PhD theses were prepared in Ankara University and the specialty in medicine thesis was completed in Gaziosmanpasa University. In addition, most of these theses were written by female researchers and the number of theses in different disciplines prepared for music education in Turkey is not numerous. Music education and preschool education were associated, and most of the PhD theses had equal distribution in the fields of Education Policies, Preschool Education, Mathematics Education, Empathic Skills and Sociology. Lastly, it was revealed that most of the theses were prepared based on descriptive model and quantitative approach.

In respect to the growing interest in physical education and sports, the state of this large number of scientific literature and the bibliometric analysis has not been conducted. The purpose of this study to investigate the literature involved physical education and sports topics regarding the descriptive bibliometric analysis. We gathered the open-access data from ERIC within the permission of this database for non-commercial data usages. After a systematic query whole, ERIC database scrapped between the 2010-2019 year and retrieved a total of 365861 journal articles considered of 25573 articles as physical education and sports-related. There were 7581 articles published at the top 25 journals (% 29.64). Subjects analysis according to "Physical education" was the commonly associated topic in this field. The findings of this study observed that the ERIC database covered a huge number of articles regarding PE and sports topics. Dynamics of the research literature suggest the US was the first contributor country to both authors and articles. Hence, we conducted a descriptive analysis of the literature indexed in the ERIC database theme include physical education and sports. This study provided a bibliometric analysis of an enormous number of articles after filtering the biggest education basis database.

This paper synthesizes the characteristics of university rankings that cause pressure or 'harassment' on universities and analyses possible strategies for action that can be carried out in the real context of the three main university rankings (QS, THE, ARWU), suggesting the consequences for the so-called world-class universities and others (which represent 95% of the total). Although there is controversy over the criteria of the university ranking systems, many universities are establishing strategies aimed at adapting to these criteria and indicators and improving their positions. This study concludes that international university rankings should not be a relevant source of information to consider the quality of universities because this can have a negative impact on the development of medium- and long-term policies in higher education and the universities themselves. Universities should concentrate on their mission and must provide valid and reliable information to all stakeholders about the level of achievement of their goals.

Nowadays, teaching and learning activity employing the flipped classroom model has an important position in the process of providing education. This research aimed at identifying and analyzing articles examining the flipped classroom model that has been published in several reputable international journals issued in the 2010-2019 timeframe, which was conducted using bibliometric studies. The research was conducted using a 4-stages systematic mapping method: (1) searching for articles using the Publish or Perish application in the Scopus database, (2) classifying the articles for the bibliometric analysis, (3) checking and completing the metadata of those articles, and (4) conducting bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer application. The bibliometric analysis produced seven findings, as follows: (1) the trend of flipped classroom publications continued to increase from 2013-2019; (2) the ten most contributive journals has published 88 articles by 2019; (3) the ten most cited articles has produced 1,155 citations; (4) the three highest order of author keywords most widely used in flipped classroom articles were flipped classroom, active learning, and blended learning; (5) author collaboration with strong links only occurred in 21 authors through one document; (6) institutional collaboration with strong links formed through 28 collaborating institutions; and (7) state statistics were formed into three clusters and spread across various countries through contributions from authors who were in charge of 456 institutions. The flipped classroom model can be concluded as an educational model that is currently popular among researchers.

This study, which was based on qualitative research design, aimed to examine the research trends and results of bibliometric mapping analyses of articles about the Flipped Classroom Model (FCM) in education in the past ten years. For this purpose, 126 articles published with the keywords; flipped classroom, education, social science, science, chemistry, biology, and physics between the years of 2010-2019 were accessed through the Web of Science database. Out of these 126 articles, 63 were selected using criterion sampling model for the bibliometric and the content analysis. As a result of the bibliometric analysis, it was seen that the most frequently mentioned keywords were flipped classroom, active learning, and chemical education with many of them focusing more on "motivation". EducationThe result of the content analysis showed that the variables included not only "motivation" and "perception" but also "academic achievement/performance" as the most common topics in the studies. The results also revealed that the most commonly used data collecting instruments were achievement tests, questionnaires and scales; the most commonly preferred sample groups were university students; and the most commonly utilized research design was the quantitative method.

The aim of this study is to examine negative effects of using WhatsApp social network application in educational processes and to create a conceptual framework in this manner. In order to examine the literature related to the research topic, sources in different databases were evaluated and research works after especially 2010 have been considered accordingly. A holistic framework regarding negative results of using WhatsApp in education has been tried to be established by examining the sources in detail. There is currently not too many scientific research works on benefits and disadvantages of using WhatsApp in long-term. But since this application has been accepted by many researchers as an instant messaging approach, it appears to be a small number of studies analyzing the effects of over-use of instant messaging take place in the associated literature. When the data obtained within this research is examined it is possible to express that the students addicted to instant messaging are inadequate in academic processes, they cannot control the time spent for messaging, they neglect their homework and they are also less disciplined compared to other students. Additionally, it is also seen these students' comprehension levels, learning skills, productivity and academic achievements have been affected negatively. It is also remarkable that students using instant messaging during reading tasks can increase the time required for completing reading, and may even feel sleepiness during daytime.

This research seeks to map several significant aspects in moral education bibliography. The mapping of moral education research that covers the country of contributors, collaborating authors, terms used in article titles and abstracts is needed to direct future research. The aim of this article is at classifying and analyzing moral education studies published in reputable international journals during 2010-2019 through a bibliometric study. This study uses the systematic and structured mind mapping method. There are four stages of the study: (1) searching for articles using the Publish or Perish application from the Scopus database, (2) filtering out articles to be included in bibliometric analysis, (3) checking and completing article metadata, and (4) conducting bibliometric analysis using the VOSviewer application. The results of the analysis were: (1) the countries of authors who publish moral education articles. Many countries have contributed in journal publications and the largest contributor is the United States. Analysis results showed that author collaboration did not occur often in moral education articles. (3) The most widely used terms in moral education article titles. The most used term is 'moral education'. (4) The most widely used abstract terms in moral education articles. The most used term in moral education articles is 'moral education'. This study concluded that the research on modal education has been spread in many countries, although the collaboration between institutions or the state is still lacking. In this study, issues of validity and reliability of a wide range of instruments used to measure technological pedagogical content knowledge level of English teachers were discussed. To this end, the search in the databases of ERIC, ScienceDirect, Scopus, EBSCOhost, and Web of Science was conducted. As a result of applying a set of criteria to publications retrieved from the databases, 60 studies (including 40 articles, 14 dissertations and 6 conference papers) were found suitable for analysis in the current study. A two-level analysis was conducted. First one was study-level analysis focusing on general characteristics of each study and the second one was an instrument-level analysis that focuses on target audience and research instruments. As a consequence of the analysis at the study-level, 128 instruments were classified into five types of instruments including, open-ended questionnaire, observation, performance assessment, interview, and self-report instruments. At the instrument-level analysis, issues of validity and reliability of those instruments and target audience were investigated. The findings revealed that 60% of the reviewed studies did not provide any index of reliability, and similarly over 80% of the studies presented no evidence of validity.

School libraries are no longer solely repositories for the information that has traditionally been published in books. The role of the school librarian is much more than just literacy; it is about visibility, culture, and access to the world. When providing services and resources to all, school librarians and educators often encounter obstacles that target learners who need them the most. These obstacles can include censorship and inequitable access. This article discusses challenges to managing censorship. Reading is a fundamental skill for academic success because university students need to comprehend an extensive amount of information in a short time to achieve their academic goals. However, the influx of new technologies into education has challenged the teaching of reading skills in a foreign language. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of emerging technologies, especially mobile applications, on second language reading comprehension in the period between 1 January and 30 September 2020. Therefore, the authors of this article conducted a search of available studies on the topic, i.e., the use of mobile applications in developing reading comprehension in second language acquisition, in two databases: Web of Science and Scopus. Despite the methodological differences, the findings of all of the identified studies showed that there was an improvement in reading comprehension after the treatment with mobile applications. In addition, a positive attitude and enhanced learner motivation when using mobile apps was found in several studies. Overall, there is potential for developing research on MALL and reading comprehension for randomized control studies with larger populations and longer intervention periods.

Internationalization in higher education seems to be an unavoidable process, albeit temporarily limited by the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease of 2019) pandemic. Specifically, internationalization of the curriculum in the context of higher education is a dimension of this internationalization that is less valued in published studies. This paper, through critical reflection, sought to contribute to a deeper understanding of internationalization of the curriculum in higher education. The methodology used consisted of a bibliographic search in international databases, and the selected documents were analyzed using the content analysis technique. This analysis allowed concluding that internationalization of the curriculum in higher education is a complex process and involves several actors, with various challenges to be considered. For this process to be successful, it involves the ability to be attentive to the cultural multiplicity that will be experienced in classes where this internationalization of the curriculum exists.

This study's objective is to determine the relationship between the popularity of the foreign language and the study efficiency based on the OKM 2016 database. In our results you can see that the popularity of foreign languages is outstanding compared to other subjects. Concerning the gender and study average it is apparent that among girls and those with higher study average the subject is more popular than among boys and those with lower study average. The results of regression show that girls, those who live in town, who attend high school, who learn in larger schools, who do not attend religious school, who are descendants of highly educated parents and those whose parents' status is active in the labour market have positive opinion. Beyond the socio-demographic variables the popularity of the foreign language as a subject has an effect on the study average. The relevance of this study can be defined in the future research of unsuccessful language learning.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect size of depression in a Turkish sample with respect to gender and developmental periods. The studies of dissertation and articles completed during the period of 2004-2018 and covering Turkish sample have been examined through the method of Meta Analysis. The studies carried out, with the help of the depression measuring instruments, on a Turkish sample that has not taken any psychiatric diagnosis until that time, have been scanned through, by the use of the data bases such as; Google Academic, EBSCOhost and Web of Science. The criterion based sampling, which is one of the methods of sample selection, has been utilized. In the Meta Analysis; the effect value has been calculated through the use of the Cone Chart and Rank Relevancy Test of Begg and Mazumdar, Forest Chart analysis and Hedges's g. The random effects model has been utilized in the analysis. The general effect size of the depression with respect to gender has been found to be at low level and on women at relatively higher level. The effect size; for childhood and adolescence periods, which are considered to be the developmental periods, has been found out to be at low level, on young adults and adults at insignificant level, on elders at medium level and on women at relatively higher level. The results have been discussed, within the scope of literature, from the point of view of the effects on woman depression and elderliness.

The journal publishes cutting-edge, peer-reviewed, original research papers on consumer financial counseling, planning, and education that have broad impacts on both academic research and business practices in the field of consumer finance. It is included in many major indexes such as Scopus, Emerging Source Citation Index, EconLit, among others. It has published influential papers on consumer financial well-being, financial capability, financial education, financial counseling, financial planning, retirement planning, risk tolerance, and financial behavior change.

Autism is a neurobiological developmental disorder that is detected at around 3 years old. This disorder affects their communication, socialization, and behavioral skills. Its ratio is 1 per 150 and the possibility is greater for boys (2 girls for every 6 boys). A bibliometric analysis, comparing documents in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, has been carried out. It includes some new features such as the evaluation of growth, maturity, conceptual and intellectual maps and trends of a scientific community on top of the bibliometrics traditional approach. This study shows that, although the interest in different aspects related to autism is very high (from the year 2000), there is a significant lack on the prevention or prediction crisis topic.

The financial system is a highly competitive field whose applications range from as big as the strategic vision and missions of the multinational companies to as small as day-to-day household expenditure decisions or management of pocket money by students. Financial literacy is a life skill that, in theory, is highly related to the well-being of individuals and companies. In the subject of financial literacy, there is a large body of literature, but very little to no knowledge on the trend and patterns of the literature and research advances in the body of knowledge. With the help of Scientific mapping analysis (SMA) and Bibliometric analyses, this study aims to declutter the literature in the field and find the future research direction in financial literacy. The study is carried out on 1000 documents from a 20-year time horizon (2001-2021), indexed on Web of Science. The study shows the publication trends, most relevant authors, journals, countries. The most significant, developing, and trending themes in the subject and the intellectual structure were investigated using keyword analysis. To better understand the social structure in financial literacy and well-being, co-authorship analysis was used.

Adaptive expertise has been promoted as an emerging model of expertise in health professions education in response to the inherent complexities of patient care; however, as the concept increasingly influences the structure of professional training and practice, it creates the potential for misunderstandings of the definition and implications of adaptive expertise. To foster a common understanding of the concept, we conducted a scoping review to explore how adaptive expertise has been discussed within health professions education literature. Five databases--MedLine, PubMed, ERIC, CINAHL, and PsycINFO--were searched using the exact term "adaptive expertise", producing 212 unique articles. Fifty-eight articles met inclusion criteria. In the included articles, authors discussed the conceptual implications of adaptive expertise for health professions education, strategies for training for adaptive expertise, and research findings aimed at supporting the development of adaptive expertise or utilizing adaptive expertise as a theoretical framework. The goal of this scoping review is to establish a resource for frontline educators tasked with fostering the development of adaptive expertise in learners through education initiatives. A common understanding of adaptive expertise is essential to ensuring effective implementation in training programs.
