Comparison is made between two methods, Eulerian and Lagrangian, of describing the particle-phase behavior in multi-phase flow in solid rocket motors. A newly developed CFD code, SPEC2, is used to evaluate the latter approach. The results show significant difference especially where particle streams are crossing and at the limiting particle streamlines.
