Web-based engineering education is an important area of research whose goal is to develop web-based academic learning tools. This article describes the literature search related to this topic in the Scopus database. No restrictions were imposed on the duration of the search. The data collected revealed that the largest number of publications was published in 2008 and 98.74% of the documents found in Scopus were in the English language. United States has a higher percentage of publications. Extend the search by using a search string with a larger number of publications and analyze the recovered data in order to discover more results is important to improve research in this area, and generally give other researchers an instant snapshot of a research field to design future work.
