Multihop networks provide a flexible infrastructure that is based on a mixture of existing access points and stations interconnected via wireless links. These networks present some unique challenges for video streaming applications due to the inherent infrastructure unreliability. In this paper, we address the problem of robust video streaming in multihop networks by relying on delay constrained and distortion-aware scheduling, path diversity, and retransmission of important video packets over multiple links to maximize the received video quality at the destination node. To provide an analytical study of this streaming problem, we focus on an elementary multihop network topology that enables path diversity, which we term "elementary cell," Our analysis is considering several cross-layer parameters at the physical and medium access control (MAC) layers, as well as application-layer parameters such as the expected distortion reduction of each video packet and the packet scheduling via an overlay network infrastructure. In addition, we study the optimal deployment of path diversity in order to cope with link failures. The analysis is validated in each case by simulation results with the elementary cell topology, as well as with a larger multihop network topology. Based on the derived results, we are able to establish the benefits of using path diversity in video streaming over multihop networks, as well as to identify the cases where path diversity does not lead to performance improvements. In the remote sensing field, the SNR is very low and the model is nonlinearity usually. Thus, it is important to analyze the impact of model nonlinearity. Probability distribution can be used to analyze the parameter distribution directly. Some issues involving priors and posteriors were proposed for models with significant nonlinearity and low signal to noise ratio (SNR). Two important issues are as follows: (1) The unimodal probability density function (PDF) of the observation quantity can give rise to a multi-modal PDF of the parameter (parameter). This property could lead to an incorrect maximum a posteriori estimate or a biased mean central estimate. It means that the biased evaluation results could be derived from statistical methods; (2) The rules for assigning non-informative priors in the measurement approach are different from the principle of maximum entropy. The authors point out the distinctions between PDF and probability distribution of non-linear models in the parameter space based on the resolution relationship between the observation space and the parameter space. For models with significant nonlinearity, if the unit grid interval of the observation space is considered regular, then the unit grid interval of the parameter space is considered irregular. The distribution obtained from regular grid is an approximation to the PDF. The probability should be calculated by integrating the PDF in the corresponding irregular grid. The difference between PDF and probability distribution gives rise to the difficulty in reverse problems. Analyzing the properties of the parameter by using the probability distribution instead of the PDF in the parameter space is necessary. The corresponding relationship between the observation and the parameter is researched based on resolution limit analysis. The non-uniform prior PDF was derived from uniform prior probability distribution in accordance with the principle of maximum entropy. Nonlinear analysis of the nature of the probability density distribution is necessary to eliminate bias caused by statistical methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The corrosion and perforation failure of the flash evaporation heat exchanger tube bundle in a certain treatment station occurred frequently. Therefore, a composition test was conducted on the external media and corrosion products on the surface of the tube bundle. Results showed that the condensate oil medium in the shell side contained a small amount of water, and there were the high concentrations of Cl-, Ca2+ and HCO3- in the water quality components. A black scale layer was formed on the surface of the tube bundle, with patches of corrosion pits under the scale, indicating severe local corrosion. Based on the analysis of the morphology, elements and compounds of the corrosion products, it was found that the corrosion products were mainly composed of FeCO3, and a chlorine-rich layer was formed on the surface of the tube bundle. Therefore, a corrosion mechanism of synergistic HCO3- and Cl- under scale was established. Finally, an integrity management process for flash evaporation heat exchangers with failure control as the core was established, and targeted risk assessment methods and failure control measures were formed to provide assurance for the safe production of the treatment station.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Xiangsha Liujun pills on the decreased digestive function in patients in the recovery phase of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)., Methods: A randomized, double blind, placebo controlled clinical trial was conducted. A total of 200 COVID-19 patients in the recovery phase were included in our study in Ezhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Totally 200 subjects were randomly divided into a treatment group (Xiangsha Liujun pills) and a control group (placebo), with 100 in each group. Subjects took Xiangsha Liujun pills or placebo orally three times a day for two weeks. Three visits were scheduled at week 0 (baseline), week 1 (the middle of the intervention) and week 2 (the end of the intervention) for each eligible patient. The total efficacy rates for improving the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) symptoms (fatigue, poor appetite, abdominal distension and loose stools) and the disappearance rates of symptoms were observed and compared in the treatment and control groups. Adverse events were recorded during the study period. SAS 9.4 was used to analyze the data., Results: A total of 200 patients were included in this study, among which 4 participants withdrew because the drugs did not work. Three patients were excluded for age. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference between the TCM symptoms scores of subjects. After 1 week of treatment, the full analysis set (FAS) showed that the efficacy rates for abdominal distension and loose stools in the treatment group were significantly higher than the control group ( 0.05). There were no significant differences in the efficacy rates for fatigue and poor appetite between the two groups (0.05). In addition, the disappearance rate of fatigue in the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group (0.05); there were no significant differences between the two groups after treatment in the rates of poor appetite, abdominal distension, and loose stools (>0.05). After 2 weeks of treatment, the efficacy rates for fatigue, poor appetite, abdominal distension, and loose stools in the treatment group were significantly higher than the control group (0.05). The disappearance rate of loose stools in the treatment group was significantly higher than the control group ( 0.05). However, there were no significant differences in the disappearance rates of fatigue, poor appetite, and abdominal distension between the two groups ( 0.05). No severe adverse events were reported by subjects during the study., Conclusions: This clinical study confirmed that Xiangsha Liujun pills can effectively improve the symptoms related to the decreased digestive function in COVID-19 convalescent patients.

Objective: To study the efficacy of Xiaoyao capsule in improving the clinical symptoms of sleep and mood disorders during recovery from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)., Methods: The study cohort comprised 200 patients with sleep and mood disorders during recovery from COVID-19. Patients were randomized into the control group and the experimental group in a 1:1 ratio by blocked randomization. The patients received either Xiaoyao capsule (experimental group) or a placebo Xiaoyao capsule (control group) for 2 weeks. The improvements in the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) syndrome scales, total effective rates, and disappearance rates of irritability, anxiety, and poor sleep were compared between the two groups., Results: The TCM syndrome pattern scales, total effective rates, and disappearance rates of irritability, anxiety, and poor sleep did not significantly differ between the experimental group versus the control group in the full analysis set and the per protocol set after 1 and 2 weeks of treatment ( > 0.05)., Conclusions: Xiaoyao capsule do not significantly improve the clinical symptoms of sleep and mood disorders in patients in recovery from COVID-19.
