In the present work, we have developed discrete and two-terminal memristive devices using 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide [Bmim][Br] ionic liquid (IL). We have varied the mole fractions (x) of IL from 0.0001 to 1 and investigated its memristive properties. The bipolar resistive switching and frequency-dependent limiting linear characteristics are clearly observed in developed IL memristive devices. Furthermore, analog memory property indicates that the IL memristive device is a potential candidate to develop electronic synapse devices for neuromorphic computing application. It is observed that the 0.010-mol fraction-based memristive device shows good resistive switching, good memory window (ratio of HRS/LRS) (~ 36), and uniform endurance. In order to cross-check our approach, we have developed 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide [Emim][Br] IL devices (x = 0.0001 to 1) and studied its memristive properties. Interestingly, [Emim][Br] IL devices also show the memristive-like properties similar to [Bmim][Br] IL memristive devices. The results of both IL-based devices indicate that the two-terminal structure with IL as an active element could be a possible solution to develop two-terminal discrete memristive devices. This paper proposes two approaches for the synchronization of a fractional hyperchaotic Rabinovich master-slave pair. The first approach introduces a linear control law to synchronize the systems in their commensurate case, i.e. with a constant fractional-order. The convergence of the proposed scheme is proven by means of an appropriate Lyapunov functional. In the incommensurate scenario, a nonlinear controller is developed based on our choice of a suitable set of control parameters. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the validity and convergence of the proposed synchronization schemes. We study an elegant snap system with only one nonlinear term, which is a quadratic nonlinearity. The snap systemdisplays chaotic attractors, which are controlled easily by changing a system parameter. By using analysis, simulations and a real circuit, the dynamics of such a snap system has been investigated. By introducing fractional derivative, fractional chaotic systems were proposed. A new fractional system with chaos is presented in our work. It is interesting that the system is elegant including only five terms. By using electronic components, we realize the five-term fractional system. Experimental results show chaos of the circuit. Chaotic systems with a curve of equilibria have attracted considerable interest in theoretical researches and engineering applications because they are categorized as systems with hidden attractors. In this paper, we introduce a new three-dimensional autonomous system with cubic equilibrium. Fundamental dynamical properties and complex dynamics of the system have been investigated. Of particular interest is the coexistence of chaotic attractors in the proposed system. Although chaotic systems have been intensively studied since the 1960s, new systems with mysterious features are still of interest. A novel chaotic system including hyperbolic functions is proposed in this work. Especially, the system has an infinite number of equilibrium points. Dynamics of the system are investigated by using non-linear tools such as phase portrait, bifurcation diagram, and Lyapunov exponent. It is interesting that the system can display coexisting chaotic attractors. An electronic circuit for realising the chaotic system has been implemented. For the past 4 years, there has been a rapid rise in the study of chaotic systems with curves of equilibria which are categorized as systems with hidden attractors. There is still significant controversy surrounding the shapes of equilibrium points. This paper presents a new three-dimensional autonomous chaotic system with hyperbolic sine equilibrium. Fundamental dynamical properties and complex dynamics of the system have been discovered by using equilibrium analysis, phase portrait, Poincaré map, bifurcation diagram and Lyapunov spectrum. It is crucial to note that there are bistable hidden chaotic attractors in the introduced system. In this work a memristive circuit consisting of a first-order memristive diode bridge is presented. The proposed circuit is the simplest memristive circuit containing the specific circuitry realization of the memristor to be so far presented in the literature. Characterization of the proposed circuit confirms its complex dynamic behavior, which is studied by using well-known numerical tools of nonlinear theory, such as bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponents and phase portraits. Various dynamical phenomena concerning chaos theory, such as antimonotonicity, which is observed for the first time in this type of memristive circuits, crisis phenomenon and multiple attractors, have been observed. Hyperjerk systems have received considerable interest in the literature because of their simplicity and complex dynamical properties. In this work, we introduce a novel hyperjerk system with an absolute nonlinearity and a quintic term. Interestingly, the hyperjerk system exhibits hyperchaotic behavior. Dynamics and the feasibility of the hyperjerk system are discovered by using numerical analysis and circuit implementation. Moreover, adaptive controllers have been designed for stabilization and synchronization of the new hyperjerk system. The control results have been established by using Lyapunov stability theory, and numerical simulations with MATLAB have been shown to illustrate the validity of the constructed adaptive controllers. This paper presents a new class of chaotic systems with infinite number of equilibrium points like a three-leaved clover. They signify an exciting class of dynamical systems which represent many major characteristics of regular and chaotic motions. These chaotic systems belong to the general class of chaotic systems with hidden attractors. By using a systematic computer search, three chaotic systems with three-leaved-clover-shaped equilibria were found which are classified into dissipative systems. Dynamics of the chaotic system with the three-leaved-clover-equilibria has been investigated by using phase portraits, bifurcation diagram, Lyapunov exponents, Kaplan-Yorke dimension and Poincaré map. Moreover, an electronic circuit implementation of the theoretical system is designed to check its effectiveness. Random number generator design has been realized with newly developed chaotic systems.
