Results of mathematical modeling of the process of spreading of polymer materials are discussed. Viscosimetric data obtained in the experiments have been analyzed and processed with the aim of determining the rheological properties of the polymer compositions used. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents the test production of dispersed-catalyst, palladium+aluminum/Silicon dioxide (Pd+Al/SiO2), based on plasma-dust technology and used in trinitrotoluene (TNT) hydration. Experiment shows that the Pd/Al concentration ratio was the same as in the sample before to annealing. Meanwhile, Al/Si ratio is nearly identical both before and upon etching. It points out that disperse composite materials (DCMs) can be applied as highly efficient TNT-hydration catalyst.

The kinetics of formation and consumption of the dehalogenation products during hydrogenation of 3,4-dichloronitrobenzene under static and gradient-free flow conditions and hydrogenation of p-chloroaniline under static conditions were studied in the presence of platinum supported on active carbon. In the former case, p-chloroaniline and aniline are the primary dehalogenation products; in the presence of the catalyst, they can react with each other giving biphenyl derivatives, whose synthesis and accumulation in the reaction mixture occur with a considerable delay and have not been investigated before. Trials of a combined process of matrix conversion of propane–butane mixture and subsequent catalytic steam conversion of the matrix conversion product gas to a hydrogen-containing gas were performed. The optimum ranges of process parameters for the matrix conversion of the propane–butane mixture were determined. Introduction of the additional step of catalytic steam conversion allows improvement of the parameters of the matrix conversion product gas, of which the hydrogen content is the most important parameter. Trials of oxidative cracking of ethane—propane—n-butane mixtures were performed on an installation with the productive capacity with respect to the gaseous feed of 5 m3 h−1. Ethylene, CO, and hydrogen are the major products of oxidative cracking of oil refinery gases; their total yield can exceed 90%. The yield of ethylene and CO is determined by the total concentration of alkanes in the mixture and is independent on the length of their hydrocarbon chain, whereas the hydrogen yield appreciably decreases with an increase in the alkane chain length. The trials demonstrated high efficiency of the production of ethylene, CO, and hydrogen by oxidative cracking of oil refinery gas mixture components. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effect of carbon monoxide and hydrogen additions on partial gas-phase high-pressure oxidation of methane was studied experimentally. The maximum permissible concentrations of these components in the recycled gas were determined. The optimum multiplicity of the hydrocarbon gas recycling in the process was substantiated. The kinetics and product yield in oxidation of ethane and ethane–nitrogen and methane–ethane mixtures in the pressure range 10–70 atm are studied. The possibility of producing liquid organic products at high yield at a pressure of 30 atm and less is demonstrated. The promoting effect of methane on ethane oxidation to form methanol is detected. The authors have analized general efficiency coefficients of the treatment of 117 patients with the first diagnized pulmonary tuberculosis. The patients were divided into a control and main group. 61 patients of the main group at the initial stage of complex treatment in addition to a standard chemotherapy have recieved magnetic and ultrasound therapy. During the treatment the patients underwent complex clinical and X-ray examination. The patients of the main group have been detected to have better signs of recovering compared with the control group. The signs were the following: more rapid disappearing of main clinical symptoms, radiological marks of tuberculosis such as focal and infiltrative alterations and decay cavity closing, cessation of bacterioexcretion.

The regime of gradual early tensometric load (GETL) was used in rehabilitation of patients with diaphysial fractures of crural bones (DFCB). The results of such rehabilitation were compared to those of rehabilitation without GETL. A total of 198 patients were studied. The GETL technique uses ground-type scales and step-by-step load intensification. Principles of pre- and postoperative rehabilitation are provided. The results of the study show that GETL allows control and correction of the fracture consolidation, improves microcirculation, prevents local osteoporosis and contractures of near-by joints, shortens duration of disability.

Isolated correction of venous component of chronic lymph-venous insufficiency by a way of dressing of perforated veins, extravasated correction of valves of deep veins and femoral cross shunting (24 patients of control group), and also combined correction, supposing the same operations in combination with creation lymph-venous anastomosis (22 patients of main groups) at infringement of peripheric flow of lymph and venous insufficiency in patients with edematous form of posttraumatic diseases have been carried. The complex estimation of efficiency of operative treatment on subjective and objective attributes of illness is offered. Direct and remote postoperative results proved to be more preferable in main group.

Treatment of 129 patients with palmar fibromatosis was performed; all the men were from 20 to 63 years old. In 56 patients (1st main group) operation of aponeurectomy was performed with the help of an ultrasonic scalpel (USS), in 53 patients (2nd main group) the operation was made with the help of the microsurgical technique (MST), 30 patients (a control group) were operated upon by usual methods. The use of USS and MST were followed by excellent (92.6%), good (2.1%) and satisfactory (5.3%) long-term results.

Reflection plays the leading part in the development of the internal world of man. It is the main psychological mechanism of consciousness of the personality and presents thinking aimed at the personality itself, own processes and own products. Reflection enables the personality to view itself as something independent in respect to the personality, i.e. as an object. Assessment of the defence behavior of infringers of the law allows an analysis of the reflective activity of man in mental health and disease. The investigation has shown that during the development of a psychotic state, the internal world of man under reflection experiences morbid transformation and acts as the main subjective material for formation of psychotic symptomatology. At the same time the latent deep structures of the personality experiencing a psychotic state acquire extreme expressiveness and brightness.
