Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) LINC00891 knockdown is associated with poor prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma, but the underlying mechanism remains to be further explored. Here, we found that LINC00891 expression is downregulated in lung cancer tissues and cell lines compared with that in adjacent normal tissues and normal lung epithelial cells. LINC00891 overexpression impedes cell proliferation, invasion, migration and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) process in lung cancer cells. Mechanistic research showed that GATA2 directly binds to LINC00891 promoter and transcriptionally regulates LINC00891 expression. Meanwhile, GATA2 was identified as a target of miR-128-3p, and it is negatively regulated by miR-128-3p. Moreover, overexpression of GATA2 suppresses lung cancer cell proliferation, invasion, migration, and EMT process. Furthermore, LINC00891 restrains the RhoA pathway activity, and treatment with CCG-1423 (a specific RhoA pathway inhibitor) antagonizes the promoting effect of LINC00891 knockdown on cell malignant behaviors. Additionally, silencing of LINC00891 promotes xenograft tumor growth, which can be reversed by administration with CCG-1423. In summary, LINC00891 regulated by the miR-128-3p/GATA2 axis restrains lung cancer cell malignant progression and hinders xenograft tumor growth by suppressing the RhoA pathway.

The field of drug delivery has significantly advanced tumor therapy, yet challenges such as the predictability of treatment outcomes and the real‐time monitoring of tumor progression, such as recurrence or metastasis. Luminescent metal–organic frameworks (L‐MOFs) are a promising solution to overcome these issues. This review offers a comprehensive exploration of the design and synthesis of L‐MOFs, presenting their crucial optical properties. The review highlights the pivotal role of L‐MOFs in enabling precision medicine for tumor treatment driven by their performance. Through strategically harnessing light‐manipulated metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), real‐time therapeutic monitoring and precise spatiotemporal control in tumor treatment can be achieved. Moreover, this review meticulously examines the influence of photomanipulating MOFs on in situ drug synthesis, introducing the catalytic role in light‐manipulated gas therapy. Additionally, the role of L‐MOFs as gene therapy vectors that utilize light to trigger gene expression responses is also comprehensively explored in the article, aiming to highlight their role in enabling tumor therapy through gene therapy. The review concludes by proposing an artificial intelligence (AI)‐mediated blueprint for tumor treatment with L‐MOFs, aiming to pave the way for innovative approaches through light manipulation. The Southeastern Siberia (SES) region has recently experienced increasingly extensive wildfires in spring, which have threatened its large carbon sequestration capacity from vast forests and peatlands. However, the underlying mechanisms propelling the increased fires and their potential responses to future climate change remain unclear. Here, by using reanalysis data and climate model output together with a deep learning model, we explore the relationship between positive-phase North Atlantic Tripole (NAT) sea-surface temperature anomalies and SES wildfire increases and project the future trend in SES wildfire intensities under climate change. We found that the positive-phase April NAT enhances the Siberian anticyclone, causing increased temperatures and snowmelt via strengthened transport of warm-air advection into the SES region. The latter process heightens the exposure of local high-density peatlands to favorable conditions for fire ignition and leads to more intensive wildfire incidents. We further demonstrate that the projected NAT variations can drive interdecadal changes in future April SES wildfires. With future phase shifting of NAT modes under global warming, the regionally averaged burned area in SES could be increased by 47–62% under different warming scenarios from 1982–2014 to 2015–2100. Our findings reveal the climate-driven escalation of future wildfires in SES in the context of global warming and call for active and urgent fire management strategies to mitigate the fire risk. Aims Background Methods Results Discussion Conclusion Implications for nursing and nursing policy To investigate the effect of ward operational efficiency on nursing workload and identify the factors that influence nursing workload.It remains unclear how and to what extent ward operational efficiency can influence nursing workload.A prospective observational study was conducted from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023, in one tertiary general hospital in China. Purposive and convenience sampling was used, and 266 470 patients from 66 wards and 52 nurses from 13 wards were recruited. The relationships between operational efficiency and nursing workload and the predictors of nursing workload were analyzed. The STROBE guidelines were followed.The operational characteristics vary by the type of wards. Nursing workloads were positively correlated with case mix index (CMI), rate of level 4 surgery, the number of patients transferred in and out, the number of deaths, total bed days, and the number of emergency admissions and critical illnesses (γs: 0.35–0.56, p < 0.05). And the CMI, rate of level 4 surgery, average bed occupancy rate, number of critically ill patients, and total bed days were the predictors of nursing workload (R2 = 57.3%, p < 0.05).This study is the first to discuss the relationship between operational efficiency and nursing workload on the ward level and offers valuable insights into the nursing workload.The operational efficiency of wards affects the nursing workload and needs to be considered both in the measurement of nursing activities and in the sizing of the nursing staff.The study findings provide a full understanding of the relationship between ward operation and nurse staffing, which is helpful for nursing managers to formulate scientific nurse staffing policies.
