To drive a group of agents to maneuver continuously with the desired collective forms, this paper addresses a distributed formation maneuver control problem of directed networked high-order multi-agent systems in arbitrary dimensions. Unlike the conventional methods where the target formation is time invariant, we propose an affine formation method based on the properties of affine transformation, in which the target formation can be time-varying and affinely transformed from the given nominal formation. This paper provides and proves a sufficient and necessary condition of achieving the directed graphical affine localizability, and it only needs that the leaders have a generic configuration and the followers are accessible to the subset of leaders. To achieve the whole formation maneuvers, assume that the leaders decide the whole formation’s maneuver actions, then the control algorithms of the arbitrary-order integrator followers are proposed to track the time-varying target formation and the global convergence of tracking errors is also proved. Furthermore, this paper studies the practical problems of formation maneuvers when existing non-uniform time delays. Finally, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional simulation examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of theoretical results.

The affine formation maneuver control problem of leader-follower linear multi-agent systems with undirected interaction graphs is studied in this paper. First, this paper provides and proves the sufficient and necessary conditions for affine localizability. If given a d-dimensional nominal formation with no fewer than d+ 1 leaders and generic universal rigidity, then any formation shape satisfying affine transformation can be obtained in arbitrary dimension only by these leaders. In the sequel, a novel distributed control method for the followers with linear dynamic models is designed to achieve the desired time-varying maneuvers, and the stability is proved. Simulations are carried out to verify the theoretical results, which show that these followers can track the time-varying references continuously and accurately.

The affine formation maneuver control problem of a leader-follower type multi-agent systems with the directed interaction graphs is studied in this paper. This paper firstly gives and proves a sufficient and necessary condition of achieving the affine localizability. Then, under the $(d+1)$ -reachable condition of the given d-dimensional nominal formation with $d+1$ leaders, a formation of agents can be reshaped in arbitrary dimension by only controlling these leaders. In the sequel, a novel distributed control method for the followers with single-integrator dynamics is proposed to achieve the desired time-varying maneuvers, and the global stability is also proved. Corresponding simulations are carried out to verify the theoretical results, which show that these followers are tracking the time-varying references accurately and continuously.

A tese que norteia o presente trabalho é a de que estruturas sintáticas como o aposto, adjuntos adnominais, complementos nominais, orações adjetivas e alguns adjuntos adverbiais possuem comportamento semântico muito aproximados e, por isso, podem ser tratados, semanticamente, como Estruturas Nominais de Inserção (ENI). Dessa forma, sustentamos que elas possuem papel enunciativo essencial na construção do sentido das sentenças em que aparecem, atuando decisiva e argumentativamente na construção do sentido desses enunciados. A partir da análise de algumas sentenças, propomos, segundo a perspectiva teórica da Semântica da Enunciação, um olhar mais atento para essas ENIs. Para tal, apoiamo-nos, principalmente, nos teóricos Oswald Ducrot, Marion Carel, Eduardo Guimarães, Priscila Lacerda e Luiz Francisco Dias, lançando mão de seus conceitos tais quais argumentação, domínio semântico memorável, eixos enunciativos, convergências enunciativas, formação nominal, pertinência enunciativa e referencial. Com isso, defendemos a ideia de que, em função do referencial presente nas formações nominais através das ENIs, o locutor argumenta e orienta o interlocutor na construção do sentido, do significado dos enunciados que ele produz. Essas estruturas, se, em termos sintáticos principalmente o aposto , são tratadas como acessório, em termos semânticos elas são tão essenciais que são capazes de modificar/alterar a compreensão do significado da sentença das quais elas fazem parte. The thesis that guides this work is that syntactic structures such as the aposto, adnominal adjuncts, nominal complements, adjective clauses and some adverbial adjuncts have very approximate semantic behavior and, therefore, can be treated, semantically, as Nominal Insertion Structures (ENI). In this way, we maintain that they have essential enunciative role in the construction of the sense of the sentences in which they appear, acting decisively and argumentatively in the construction of the meaning of these statements. From the analysis of some sentences, we propose, according to the theoretical perspective of Semantics of Enunciation, a closer look at these ENIs. For this purpose, we rely mainly on the theorists Oswald Ducrot, Marion Carel, Eduardo Guimarães, Priscila Lacerda and Luiz Francisco Dias, using their concepts such as argumentation, memorable semantic domain, enunciative axes, enunciative convergences, nominal formation, pertinence enunciative and referential. With this, we defend the idea that, in function of the referential present in the nominal formations through the ENIs, the announcer argues and guides the interlocutor in the construction of the meaning, of the meaning of the statements that it produces. These structures, if in syntactic terms - especially the wager - are treated as "accessory", in semantic terms they are so essential that they are able to modify / change the understanding of the meaning of the sentence of which they are part.

Este trabalho discute aspectos da sintaxe do adjetivo nas formações nominais, com base em uma abordagem enunciativa. Em especial, trata das relações de dependência entre substantivo e adjetivo, analisadas sob o ponto de vista da historicidade. Para isso, lançamão de três noções centrais. A primeira delas é a noção de discursividade, por meio da qual se discute que os efeitos de sentido que o adjetivo agrega ao substantivo devem ser compreendidos em uma instância discursiva ora menos complexa, ora mais complexa.Uma ocorrência complexa é a da formação nominal consciência negra, em que o adjetivo não caracteriza nem qualifica consciência, mas evoca uma trama social que pode ser resumida em termos da conscientização da sociedade brasileira a respeito da valorização do negro, no contexto de combate ao racismo. A segunda noção é a de referencial, que, grosso modo, diz respeito ao ponto de vista da referência que sustentaos objetos de discurso. A título de exemplificação, sejam os seguintes enunciados: (1) Homem negro sequestra criança na Zona Leste de BH e (2) Conheça os novos nomes da música negra internacional. A presença do adjetivo, nessas duas ocorrências, não é determinada propriamente pelo nome (homem/música) ao qual se agrega, mas pelas relações históricas que sustentam os enunciados. Para discuti-las, pode ser aplicado um teste de apagamento do adjetivo. Em (1), esse apagamento produziria um silenciamento do racismo; em (2), produziria um silenciamento da afirmação da alteridade. A tesedefendida nesta pesquisa é a de que os referenciais determinam a articulação do adjetivo. Em (1), a ausência do adjetivo não prejudicaria o enunciado, se ele não é sustentando por um referencial étnico. Em (2), diferentemente, a ausência do adjetivo comprometeria o enunciado, se seu referencial é relacionado a ações afirmativas. A terceira noção subjacente à pesquisa é a de pertinência enunciativa, por meio da qual se analisa que a frequência com que certos adjetivos se associam a alguns nomes mais do que a outros se deve a uma memória de enunciações, e não à exigência de completude de sentido do nome, relativa a cada enunciado. This work discusses aspects of the adjective syntax in nominal formations, based on an enunciative approach. In particular, it deals with relations of dependence between noun and adjective, analyzed from a historical point of view. To do so, it uses three central notions. The first of these is the notion of discursiveness, through which it is argued thatthe sense effects that the adjective adds to the noun must be understood in a discursive instance that is sometimes less complex, sometimes more complex. A complex occurrence is the black consciousness nominal formation, in which the adjective does not characterize or qualify consciousness, but evokes a social fabric that can be summarized in terms of the awareness of the Brazilian society regarding the valorizationof the black, in the context of combating racism. The second notion is that of referential, which refers to the point of view of the reference that sustains the objects of discourse. By way of example, the following statements are: (1) Black man kidnaps a child in East Zone of BH and (2) Know the new names of international black music.The presence of the adjective, in these two occurrences, is not determined properly by the name (man / music) to which it is added, but by the historical relations that support the statements. To discuss them, an adjective deletion test can be applied. In (1), this deletion would produce a silencing of racism; in (2), would produce a silencing of theaffirmation of otherness. The thesis defended in this research is that the references determine the articulation of the adjective. In (1), the absence of the adjective would not prejudice the statement if it is not supported by an ethnic referential. In (2), differently, the absence of the adjective would compromise the utterance, if its referential is related to affirmative actions. The third notion underlying the research is that of enunciativepertinence, by which it is analyzed that the frequency with which certain adjectives associate to some names more than to others is due to a memory of enunciations, and not to the requirement of completeness of meaning of the name, for each statement.

This paper presents a corpus of Tashlhit bu-nouns, in which bu generally expresses the possessor of what the inner noun refers to. Comparison with other dialects of Amazigh is undertaken, revealing the cross-dialectal complexity of this type of nominal formation. Notwithstanding their morphosyntactic intricacy, which challenges Greenberg’s Universal 28, the Lexical Integrity Hypothesis and the No Phrase Constraint, bu-nouns have been dealt with only sporadically and have at times even been overlooked. The presentation will shed light on the inflectional alternations inner bu-nouns exhibit, the existence of an alternative periphrastic expression, the pluralization pattern of these nouns, their alienable vs. inalienable possession patterns, as well as the possible recursion of the bu-noun affixes. Un corpus morpho-syntaxique complexe souvent négligé Nous présentons dans le présent article un corpus des noms tachelhite en bu, où bu exprime généralement le possesseur de ce que désigne le nom interne. Une approche comparatiste avec d’autres parlers amazighes révèle la complexité inter-dialectale de ce type de noms. La complexité morphosyntaxique des noms en bu pose des défis pour l’Universal 28 de Greenberg, l’Hypothèse de l’Intégrité Lexicale et l’Absence de Syntagme (No Phrase Constraint). Néanmoins, ces noms n’ont été traités que de façon sporadique et ont parfois même été négligés. La présentation mettra en évidence les alternances flexionnelles inhérentes aux noms en bu, l’existence d’une expression périphrastique analogue, la pluralisation de ces noms, les modes de possession aliénable et inaliénable qui les caractérisent, ainsi que la récurrence des affixes des noms en bu.

Managed pressure drilling operations pose several challenges to the upstream oil industry. While tripping the drillstring, the bottomhole pressure of the wellbore must be maintained at the nominal formation pressure, and the solutions currently used have less than optimal success rates in high angle wellbores. A balanced mud cap displaced into the well before a trip can supply the bottomhole pressure required, but the cap is prone to fall through the lighter drilling fluid below. Viscosifying the mud cap is seldom successful, and placing a high viscosity spacer between the two fluids has not been a reliable solution, until now. The spacer chemistry presented in this paper successfully addresses those limitations. This barrier spacer meets the operational tripping requirements because it is easy to pump and spot, and robust enough to hold the heavy mud cap above the drilling fluid, yet easy to remove when it is no longer required. Since its introduction, some minor shortcomings of the spacer were identified, and a modified formulation has been developed to improve the mixing and deployment of the spacer.

In this brief, we present the results from a flight experiment demonstrating two significant advances in software enabled control: optimization-based control using real-time trajectory generation and logical programming environments for formal analysis of control software. Our demonstration platform consisted of a human-piloted F-15 jet flying together with an autonomous T-33 jet. We describe the behavior of the system in two scenarios. In the first, nominal state communications were present and the autonomous aircraft maintained formation as the human pilot flew maneuvers. In the second, we imposed the loss of high-rate communications and demonstrated an autonomous safe “lost wingman” procedure to increase separation and reacquire contact. The flight demonstration included both a nominal formation flight component and an execution of the lost wingman scenario.

[Title: Nominalization in Balinese Language] The study deal with the process of nominal formation (nominalization) and Nominal structure of Balinese language. The data being analyzed is obtained from the researcher’s intuition that is the gained from language potency of the researcher as a native Balinese speaker. In addition, the data was also gained from Balinese texts such as novels, short stories, and folk tales. As a reference in analyzing the data it is applied X-bar theory developed by N, Chomsky and his adherers from the beginning of 1970-s. The most important essence of this theory is that every phrase structure has head. In other words, that every phrase structure is endocentric in nature. At the initial phrase, this theory was developed to describe phrasal category, then it was applied for clausal level. Recently, this theory is applied to analyze word level (Xo). Nouns in Balinese can be base and derived nouns. Derived nouns can be formed through some process: affixation, compounding, reduplication, and derivation of clauses. Nouns in Balinese can place syntactical functions such as subject, predicate, object, complement, and adverb.

The CompSAR mission study took place in ESA concurrent design facility for the assessment design of a Passive SAR on a Small Companion Satellite flying in formation with Sentinel-1 with the goal of measuring costal currents using the back-scattered signal of the active instrument. The study highlighted the operational risks and challenges associated with close, lose formation flight. Three major areas of trade off were identified: Orbit Determination and Reconstitution, Data Downlink and TT&C scenario, and Formation Flight strategy. While for the first two areas the mapping of mission requirements to available technologies and infrastructures permits to identify adequate solutions, for the Formation Flight, a further level of analysis is required, detailing the choices for general navigation strategy implementation, nominal formation maintenance, and contingency handling. Although operational solutions for the nominal scenario are straightforward if not simple, the non-nominal scenarios bring about the fundamental problem of a possible collision risk in a relatively short delay. A careful choice of the mission geometry can provide risk mitigation, but, especially for the contingency scenarios, innovative operational strategies need be devised. To this end, three measures are identified as greatly beneficial to relax safety related constraints and increase the scientific return by simply enabling robust and safe formation flight: ad-hoc design of orbit formation configuration, on-board relative navigation, and increased ground visibility (and commandability).

Esta pesquisa discute a semântica dos nomes, de acordo com as noções de acontecimento e encapsulamento, perpassadas pelas instâncias da memória e da atualidade. Propõe o conceito de formação nominal (FN) como categoria enunciativa e discute, também, os fundamentos da determinação nominal, assumindo a perspectiva de que os enunciados produzem demandas de especificação ao retirarem os nomes de um estado virtual de generalidade. É repensada, dessa forma, a visão tradicional segundo a qual os nomes exigem termos que lhes completem o sentido, de modo a serem questionadas as controversas ideias de déficit e superávit norteadoras da descrição gramatical. De forma mais específica, são discutidos os critérios que diferenciam complementos nominais de adjuntos adnominais; os primeiros passam a ser definidos como categorias reencapsuladoras da discursividade do nome, ao passo que os segundos se definem por terem uma função enunciativa de regulação da unidade referencial do nome. Por fim, concebe-se que a determinação nominal ocorre não só no nível do sintagma, mas também no nível de todo o enunciado. This research discusses the semantics of nouns, according to the notions of event and encapsulation, pervaded by the instances of memory and present. Proposes the concept of nominal formation as a category of enunciate and also discusses the fundamentals of nominal determination, taking the view that enunciation produce specification demands by withdrawing the nouns of a virtual state of generality. It is reconsidered, in this way, the traditional view according to which the nouns require to complete their sense, being questioned the controversial ideas of deficit and superavit of the grammatical description.More specifically, we discuss the criteria that differentiate nominal complements of adjuncts; the first is defined as the discursive re-encapsulation categories of nouns, while the latter are defined by having an expository function of regulating the reference unit of noun. Finally,designs that determination occurs not only in nominal phrase level, but also at the level of the entire enunciate.

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo discutir o conceito de sujeito indeterminado numa ótica enunciativa e numa perspectiva de projeção que se insira na tentativa de elucidar a relação entre o formal e o semântico. Para tal, apresentamos alguns estudos feitos sobre o tema e os discutimos a partir das lacunas que pensamos haver em cada um deles. Verificamos o fenômeno da indeterminação do sujeito sob a perspectiva da Gramática Tradicional e também sob a de algumas correntes linguísticas modernas. Em seguida, apresentamos uma teoria de base enunciativa com a qual nos alinhamos, uma vez que acreditamos que os fatos sintáticos de uma língua não se manifestam apenas no nível material da sentença. De acordo com a Semântica da Enunciação, há um nível simbólico que também é constitutivo da sentença. A partir dessa perspectiva então, propomos uma análise do sujeito indeterminado, observando os tipos de sujeito, no caso o Sujeito Projeção na perspectiva da teoria da enunciação, e os modos de ocupação da Formação Nominal Sujeito (FN-sujeito). Observamos que há uma mudança em curso no Português do Brasil (PB) que tende à ocupação material, orgânica do lugar do sujeito indeterminado. Para tal, são utilizados pronomes (eu, você, nós, a gente, alguém, etc) e expressões de sentido indeterminado (o cara, o pessoal, o indivíduo, etc). Constatamos que as formas de indeterminação usadas pelos falantes não são as mesmas e que elas variam de acordo com a cena enunciativa e com a necessidade do falante em deixar menos ou mais especificado o referente do sujeito projeção. Dessa forma, chegamos a uma reformulação do conceito de definitude, especificação e determinação. Em função da análise que propusemos, sugerimos uma nova nomeação e um novo conceito para o sujeito indeterminado, com o intuito de minimizar, senão dissipar, os problemas encontrados por quem deseja analisar sintaticamente essa formação nominal. The objective of this research is to discuss the topic of the indefinite subject in a spoken format and in a perspective projection so it can be possible to seek the difference between formal and semantic patterns. For this purpose, we will present some research studies on the topic and we will discuss them based on the difference we consider present between the two. We discuss the phenomenon of indeterminacy of the subject from the perspective of Traditional Grammar and some current linguistic terms. In the following, we will present a theory on enunciation, with which we align ourselves, since we believe that the syntactic facts of a language do not occur only on the material level of the sentence. From this perspective then, we propose an analysis of the indefinite subject, by observing the types of subject, in the case of Projected Subject from the perspective of the theory of enunciation, and the modes of occupation of Formation of the Nominal Subject (FN-Subject). We observe that there is an ongoing change in Brazilian Portuguese that tends to a material, organic occupation of the place of the indefinite subject. For this, it has been used pronouns (I, you, we, someone, etc.) and expressions of indeterminate meaning (the one, the people, the individual, etc.). We note that the forms of indeterminacy used by speakers are not the same and they vary according to the speech patterns and according to the speaker's need to specify the referent of the projected subject. Thus, we arrive at a reformulation of the concept of definiteness, specification and determination. From the analysis we have proposed, we suggest a new naming and a new concept for the indefinite subject in order to minimize, if not resolve, the problems encountered by those who wish to analyze syntactically this nominal formation.

This paper addresses the control of multi-robot formation in 2-dimension plane. Dynamic extension is used to linearize the robot’s kinematic model. Since the formation models, which use the error of robots’ real positions and speeds with respect to their desired values as the controlled valuables, are coupled systems, a spatial shift operator is introduced to model them as spatially interconnected systems. Then distributed controllers which have the same structure as the plants and will simplify the computation compared with centralized controllers are designed. The controllers are dynamic output feedback controllers and can not only stabilize the nominal formation system but also robustly stabilize a perturbed version of the system. The design procedure is presented which involve the application of convex optimization tools, i.e. linear matrix inequalities. The experimental results are simulated in MATLAB software and are confirmed with the formation of Team AmigoBot Mobile Robots.

But, besides the fact that the progressing research makes hazardous any demonstration of this kind, it exists variants, as yet disregarded (Venelli of the Cotentin, Alpine Veneni, Venisami, etc.), which require a more refined approach of the problem : this root, and therefore the nominal formation *wenetó-, could have produced separately these semantically gratifying people-names («conquerors» or «relatives, companions») in the «paleo-European» area. Delocutives are formed with an utterance (x) as a radical. Common in Greek are verbs meaning "say x" (e.g., πατερίζω); nominal formations denote for instance a person saying x or the utterance x per se. The latter type would explain the hapax ποίφυγμα in A. Th. 280, where Eteocles says, upbraiding a group of women for their hysteria: "do not pray in ποιφύγμασιν". If ποίφυγμα is taken as a delocutive nominal formation from ποῖ φύγω (a Greek cliché), the sense would fit the context as well as Aeschylus' propensity for wordplay.

The present paper deals with the derived nominal formation in English and Modern Greek; nominals are characterized by their hybrid noun-verb nature (cf. Comrie and Thomson 1985) and more specifically by the fact that some of them, just like verbs, can express actions, processes and resultant states, and also, just like verbs, they have argument taking properties. As we shall see, some of them appear to have a similar Argument Structure (AS), though not identical to that of a verb. On the other hand, however, nominals seem to exhibit certain anisomorphism compared to the verbs they are derived from, as far as their argument realization is concerned in the sense that an external argument in the AS of the verb (i.e. the subject), which is always obligatory in the verb's syntactic structure, becomes something which looks more like an Adjunct in the argument structure realization of the derived nominal, as we shall see. Notice in passing that there is a similar case with Modern Greek verbs, too, that is, there too, the NP subject behaves like an adjunct. Compare (o Janis) trexi, where the ΝΡ subject ο Janis is optional, with the ungrammatical *(John) is coming. This has led to the conclusion that phonologically realized grammatical subjects in Modern Greek function as adjuncts (as the 'subjects' of nominals do) given that it is the verb endings (e.g. Sg: -o 1st p., -is 2nd, and -i 3rd; and Pl: -ume 1st, -ete 2nd, and -un 3rd) in which subject function is reflected. The present paper will attempt to probe into the syntax and semantics of nominals and will try to show that the syntactic behavior of nominals crucially depends on their distinction into two semantic classes, i.e. action/process/event nominals, on the one hand, and result (concrete) nominals, on the other. In this study, an automated formation control system for an aircraft formation comprised of one lead and multiple wing aircraft is analyzed. Second- order models of the C-130 aircraft are developed in order to accurately model the flying qualities of large aircraft. This automated formation control system is capable of controlling the C-130 aircraft in maneuvering formation flight, thus reducing the wing's pilot workload. During formation flight, the wing aircraft continuously measures the lead aircraft's relative position with an ideal on-board position sensor. This information, in addition to Proportional Plus Integral feedback control, is used to maintain the aircraft in formation. The control of each wing aircraft is assumed to be independent of other wing aircraft. Other than for nominal formation separation commands, no continuous communication is assumed between the formation aircraft. An analytical analysis of the formation control problem reveals that integral control is needed to achieve zero steady state error in the separation distances (after a formation maneuver is executed). This conclusion is confirmed using computer simulations. An analytical method of selecting the Proportional Plus Integral parameters is developed by identifying the dominant system dynamics and residues of the step response. In an attempt to reduce the fuel consumption of the wing aircraft during formation heading change maneuvers, an alternate control system is designed to conserve the energy of the wing. The resulting automated formation control system effectively maintains the formation of aircraft through a combination of velocity, heading, and altitude changes. Superconducting properties in Sr-La-Cu-O system prepared by the coprecipitation method were studied. The highest T c of the samples was about 42 K, rather higher than that of the samples by a solid-state reaction. It was found that the composition (especially that of Sr) of the sintered samples was different from the nominal formation.
