The nature of the highly dense matter inside the supernova remnant compact star is not constrained by terrestrial experiments and hence modeled phenomenologically to accommodate the astrophysical observations from compact stars. The observable properties of the compact stars are highly sensitive to the microscopic model of highly dense matter. However, some universal relations exist between some macroscopic properties of compact stars independent of the matter model. We study the universal relation including the stars containing exotic degrees of freedom such as heavier strange and non-strange baryons, strange quark matter in normal and superconducting phases, etc. We examine the universal relations for quantities moment of inertia - tidal love number - quadrupole moment. We also study the correlation of non-radial f-mode and p-mode frequencies with stellar properties. We find the f-mode frequency observes the universal relation with dimensionless tidal deformability but the p-mode frequency does not show a good correlation with stellar properties. The p-mode frequency is sensitive to the composition of the matter. We find that universal relation is also applicable for stars with exotic matter in the core of the star with several models of exotic matter., Comment: matches with the published version

An interesting feature of the brain is its ability to respond to disparate sensory signals from the environment in unique ways depending on the environmental context or current brain state. In dynamical systems, this is an example of multi-stability, the ability to switch between multiple stable states corresponding to specific patterns of brain activity/connectivity. In this article, we describe chimera states, which are patterns consisting of mixed synchrony and incoherence, in a brain-inspired dynamical systems model composed of a network with weak individual interactions and chaotic/periodic local dynamics. We illustrate the mechanism using synthetic time series interacting on a realistic anatomical brain network derived from human diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). We introduce the so-called Vector Pattern State (VPS) as an efficient way of identifying chimera states and mapping basin structures. Clustering similar VPSs for different initial conditions, we show that coexisting attractors of such states reveal intricately "mingled" fractal basin boundaries that are immediately reachable. The mass-induced neutrino oscillation is a well established phenomenon that is based on the unitary mixing among three light active neutrinos. Remarkable precision on neutrino mixing parameters over the last decade or so has opened up the prospects for testing the possible non-unitarity of the standard 3$\nu$ mixing matrix, which may arise in the seesaw extensions of the Standard Model due to the admixture of three light active neutrinos with heavy isosinglet neutrinos. Because of this non-unitary neutrino mixing (NUNM), the oscillation probabilities among the three active neutrinos would be altered as compared to the probabilities obtained assuming a unitary 3$\nu$ mixing matrix. In such a NUNM scenario, neutrinos can experience an additional matter effect due to the neutral current interactions with the ambient neutrons. Atmospheric neutrinos having access to a wide range of energies and baselines can experience a significant modifications in Earth's matter effect due to NUNM. In this paper, we study in detail how the NUNM parameter $\alpha_{32}$ affects the muon neutrino and antineutrino survival probabilities in a different way. Then, we place a comparable and complementary constraint on $\alpha_{32}$ in a model independent fashion using the proposed 50 kt magnetized Iron Calorimeter (ICAL) detector under the India-based Neutrino Observatory (INO) project, which can efficiently detect the atmospheric $\nu_\mu$ and $\bar\nu_\mu$ separately in the multi-GeV energy range. Further, we discuss the advantage of charge identification capability of ICAL and the impact of uncertainties in oscillation parameters while constraining $\alpha_{32}$. In this paper, we show for $2 \leq d < \lfloor \frac{n}{2} \rfloor$ that $2d \leq \sigma^{-}(C_n^{d}) \leq d(d+1)$. The large-scale shell-model calculations have been performed for the neutron-rich nuclei in the south region of $^{208}$Pb in the nuclear chart. The $\beta$-decay properties, such as the $\log ft$, average shape factor values, half-lives, and partial decay rates are calculated for these neutron-rich nuclei using recent effective interaction for the $^{208}$Pb region. These calculations have been performed without truncation in a particular model space for nuclei $N\leq 126$; additionally, particle-hole excitations are included in the case of core-breaking nuclei ($Z\leq 82, N>126$). A non-parametric complementary ensemble empirical mode decomposition (NPCEEMD) is proposed for identifying bearing defects using weak features. NPCEEMD is non-parametric because, unlike existing decomposition methods such as ensemble empirical mode decomposition, it does not require defining the ideal SNR of noise and the number of ensembles, every time while processing the signals. The simulation results show that mode mixing in NPCEEMD is less than the existing decomposition methods. After conducting in-depth simulation analysis, the proposed method is applied to experimental data. The proposed NPCEEMD method works in following steps. First raw signal is obtained. Second, the obtained signal is decomposed. Then, the mutual information (MI) of the raw signal with NPCEEMD-generated IMFs is computed. Further IMFs with MI above 0.1 are selected and combined to form a resulting signal. Finally, envelope spectrum of resulting signal is computed to confirm the presence of defect.

Polyatomic gases find numerous applications across various scientific and technological fields, necessitating a quantitative understanding of their behavior in non-equilibrium conditions. In this study, we investigate the behavior of rarefied polyatomic gases, particularly focusing on heat transfer and sound propagation phenomena. By utilizing a two-temperature model, we establish constitutive equations for internal and translational heat fluxes based on the second law of thermodynamics. A novel reduced two-temperature model is proposed, which accurately describes the system's behavior while reducing computational complexity. Additionally, we develop phenomenological boundary conditions adhering to the second law, enabling the simulation of gas-surface interactions. The phenomenological coefficients in the constitutive equations and boundary conditions are determined by comparison with relevant literature. Our computational analysis includes conductive heat transfer between parallel plates, examination of sound wave behavior, and exploration of spontaneous Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering. The results provide valuable insights into the dynamics of polyatomic gases, contributing to various technological applications involving heat transfer and sound propagation.
