As loads connected to active distribution network (ADN) grow, ADN's voltage safety issues are becoming more serious. At present, the solution is mainly to build more distributed generation (DG) or to adjust the reactive power in the whole network, but the former needs a lot of investment while the latter requires a large amount of communication equipment and it takes a long time to calculate the adjustment amount of reactive power and to coordinate reactive power compensation equipment. When the loads are heavy, there will still be drawbacks of insufficient reactive power. Therefore, this paper analyzes the relationship between the active power, reactive power, and the voltage in the ADN. Through the autonomous region (AR) division, a voltage control method based on the active power variation and adjustable power in the AR is proposed. According to the relationship between the amount of active power and the adjustable amount active power, the active power control, the reactive power control, and the coordinated control of active power reactive power control are adopted to adjust the DGs' output to stabilize the bus voltage. The simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively improve the voltage control capability of ADN and can enable it to operate normally under greater power changes. Through exploring color landscape planning and design of buildings in the western section of Zhongshan Road in Shenyang City, this paper proposed color landscape design methods adaptive to Chinese urban construction, concerning various tasks such as reasonable orientation of street building colors, effective control of street building colors, realization of regional characteristics and cultural connotations of urban colors via designs, so as to provide references and theoretical support for the future landscape design of urban streets. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) in pregnant women with recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) and to investigate the correlation with changes in the gestational sac and embryo development, and miscarriage prevention as outcomes., Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 100 pregnant women with RSA treated at Hulunbeier People's Hospital between January 2022 and January 2023. Among them, 52 patients received LMWH therapy (observation group), while 48 received routine treatment (control group). Serum levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), progesterone (P), estradiol (E2), and coagulation markers (D-dimer [D-D], plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 [PAI-1], and fibrinogen), as well as gestational sac diameter (GSD), embryo length (EL), and uterine artery blood flow resistance, were assessed before and after treatment. Pregnancy outcome and adverse reaction rate were recorded and compared. Patients were categorized into successful and unsuccessful groups based on miscarriage prevention outcomes, and differences in GSD and EL were analyzed. Logistic regression was performed to identify factors influencing miscarriage prevention., Results: Baseline hCG, P, E2, D-D, PAI-1, fibrinogen, GSD, EL, and uterine artery blood flow resistance were comparable between groups (all P>0.05). After treatment, these measuremnts improved significantly, with greater changes in the observation group (all P<0.05). The term pregnancy rate was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05), while adverse reaction rates were similar (P>0.05). The successful group exhibited significantly greater GSD and EL compared to the unsuccessful group (P<0.05). Logistic regression identified age, number of miscarriages, and LMWH use as independent factors influencing miscarriage prevention outcome (P<0.05)., Conclusions: LMWH therapy significantly improves hormone levels, coagulation status, GSD, and EL in pregnant women with RSA, enhancing miscarriage prevention outcomes with minimal adverse reactions, making it a safe and effective treatment option for clinical practice., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2024.)

The mechanisms of the effect of propionate metabolism and immunity on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) have not been adequately studied. Firstly, differentially expressed-propionate metabolism-related genes (DE-PMRGs) were selected by overlapping PMRGs and differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between the simple steatosis (SS) and health control (HC) groups. Then, common genes were selected by overlapping DE-PMRGs and key module genes obtained from weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA). Subsequently, the biomarkers were screened out by machine learning algorithms. The expression of the biomarkers was validated by quantitative Real-time PCR. In total, 5 biomarkers (JUN, LDLR, CXCR4, NNMT, and ANXA1) were acquired. The nomogram constructed based on 5 biomarkers had good predictive power for the risk of SS. Next, 5 biomarkers, 11 miRNAs, and 149 lncRNAs were encompassed in the ceRNA regulatory network. The expression of biomarkers was significantly higher in the HC group than in the SS group, which was consistent with the results in the GSE89632 and GSE126848 datasets. In this study, 5 immune and propionate metabolism-related biomarkers (JUN, LDLR, CXCR4, NNMT, and ANXA1) were screened out to provide a basis for exploring the prediction of diagnosis of NAFLD.

Objectives: To investigate and analyze children,s choice of environment in oral clinics so as to provide evidence for improving the oral clinic environment., Methods: A total of 110 children in the Pediatric Dentistry of Qingdao Stomatological Hospital Affiliated to Qingdao University were selected as the research subjects from September to December 2019 to conduct a questionnaire survey, and the results were statistically analyzed by using a Chi-square test., Results: A total of 107 effective questionnaires were collected. The children surveyed liked the room with pink and blue walls (61.68%), cartoon murals (57.94%), and arranged toys (61.68%). Most of them did not dislike the special smell in the room (62.62%) and liked the smell of orange essential oil (52.34%). During treatment, the children liked watching cartoons the best (61.68%), expected doctors to be dressed in white (51.40%), and expected doctors to be treated by female doctors (68.22%). Most children wanted to be accompanied by family members during treatment (62.62%). The Chi-square test showed statistically significant differences in seven questions between preschool and school-age children: the environment of the clinic room, the color of the walls, the clinic decoration, the entertainment during treatment, color of the doctors' dress and gender, and company of the family members during treatment ( P <0.05). The difference of children's choice of color of the wall and clinic decoration during the first and subsequent visit was statistically significant ( P <0.05). However, no significant difference was observed in the choice of clinic environment between different genders ( P >0.05)., Conclusions: Children have their own preferences for the environment in the oral clinic. For preschool children, we need to create a soothing and warm atmosphere with warm colors liked by children. For school-age children, a calm and relaxed clinic atmosphere with cold colors should be created.

Background: Deregulation of transformer 2β (Tra2β) has been implicated in several cancers. However, the role of Tra2β expression in prostate cancer (PCa) is unclear. Therefore, this study was to investigate the expression of Tra2β in PCa and evaluated its association with clinicopathological variables and prognosis., Methods: Thirty paired fresh PCa samples were analyzed for Tra2β expression by Western blot analysis. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay was performed in 160 PCa samples after radical prostatectomy and adjacent non-cancerous tissues. Tra2β protein expression was divided into high expression group and low expression group by IHC. We also investigated the association of Tra2β expression with clinical and pathologic parameters. Kaplan-Meier plots and Cox proportional hazards regression model were used to analyze the association between Tra2β protein expression and prognosis of PCa patients. Our results showed that Tra2β was significantly upregulated in PCa tissues by western blot and IHC., Results: Our data indicated that high expression of Tra2β was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis (P=0.002), clinical stage (P=0.015), preoperative prostate-specific antigen (P=0.003), Gleason score (P=0.001), and biochemical recurrence (P=0.021). High Tra2β expression was a significant predictor of poor biochemical recurrence free survival and overall survival both in univariate and multivariate analysis., Conclusion: We show that Tra2β was significantly upregulated in PCa patients after radical prostatectomy, and multivariate analysis confirmed Tra2β as an independent prognostic factor.

Previous studies have investigated the associations between the two polymorphisms (prostate stem cell antigen (PSCA) rs2294008 C/T and c-MYC rs9642880 G/T) and bladder cancer (BC) risk. However, the results are inconsistent. We therefore carried out a meta-analysis to estimate the relationship between PSCA/c-MYC polymorphisms and BC risk. We searched PubMed up to November 2014 to identify potentially eligible literatures. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to estimate the strength of the associations, the data were further stratified by ethnicity. Heterogeneity was evaluated by Q test and I(2) statistics. Begg's funnel plot and Egger's test were used to assess the publication bias. 11 studies from 9 articles were identified, including a total of 16,814 cancer cases and 52,868 case-free controls. We found a significant association between PSCA rs2294008 polymorphism and BC risk (the allele contrast model: OR = 1.14, 95% CI = 1.11-1.18; homozygote comparison: OR = 1.28, 95% CI = 1.20-1.37; heterozygote comparison: OR = 1.23, 95% CI = 1.17-1.30; dominant model: OR = 1.25, 95% CI = 1.19-1.31 and recessive model: OR = 1.13, 95% CI = 1.07-1.20). Moreover, a significant increased risk of BC was confirmed both in Caucasian and in Asians. For c-MYC rs9642880 polymorphism, significant increased BC risk was detected under the following genetic models (the allele contrast model: OR = 1.20, 95% CI = 1.13-1.27; homozygote comparison: OR = 1.37, 95% CI = 1.21-1.55; heterozygote comparison: OR = 1.20, 95% CI = 1.09-1.32; dominant model: OR = 1.25, 95% CI = 1.14-1.37 and recessive model: OR = 1.26, 95% CI = 1.13-1.40). Further stratified analysis by ethnicity also observed the same results. This meta-analysis suggested that PSCA rs2294008 and c-MYC rs9642880 polymorphisms may increase the BC risk. Further studies are needed to clarify the effects.

Previous studies have suggested that estrogen receptor-β (ESR2) rs1256049 polymorphism is associated with the susceptibility of cancer. However, the results are inconsistent. We performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the association between the rs1256049 polymorphism and cancer risk. PubMed, ISI Web of Knowledge, and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), were searched for eligible studies. The odds ratios (ORs) with 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to assess the strength of association. 22 studies including 22,994 cases and 30,514 controls were identified. There was no significant association between rs1256049 and cancer risk in the overall population. Stratified analysis by ethnicity revealed that the rs1256049 polymorphism was associated with cancer risk in Caucasians (A vs. G: OR = 1.09, 95% CI = 1.01-1.16; GA vs. GG: OR = 1.10, 95% CI = 1.02-1.18; AA+GA vs. GG: OR = 1.09, 95% CI = 1.02-1.17), but not in Asians. Further subgroup analysis by cancer type indicated that the rs1256049 polymorphism may contribute to prostate cancer risk (AA vs. GG: OR = 1.41, 95% CI = 1.02-1.96; AA vs. GG+GA: OR = 1.52, 95% CI = 1.10-2.10), whereas negative results were obtained for breast cancer in any genetic model. This meta-analysis suggested that the ESR2 rs1256049 polymorphism is a candidate gene polymorphism for cancer susceptibility in Caucasians, especially in prostate cancer.

Ten new triterpenoids, schiglausins A-J (1-10), as well as four known compounds, were isolated from the stems of Schisandra glaucescens. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods, including extensive NMR spectra and CD experiment. Compound 8 was determined to be a norlanostane triterpenoid. The crystal structure of compound 1 has been determined using single-crystal X-ray analysis while its absolute configuration was assigned on the basis of the CD spectrum. Objective: To investigate the inhibitory effects of Scutellaria barbate extracts on diethylnitrosamine-induced hepatocarcinoma in rats., Methods: Hepatocarcinoma model rats were induced by diethylnitrosamine (DEN). Sixty SD male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal control group, hepatocarcinoma model group, ESB of high dose group and ESB of low dose group. All rats were killed in the 18th week, the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), total bilirubin (TBIL), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma-glutamyltransferase (gamma-GT) and alpha-L-fucosidase (AFU) in serum were measured by biochemical examinations; Hematoxy and eosin (HE) methods were used to examine the changes of liver pathology., Results: The levels of ALT, AST, TBIL, ALP, gamma-GT, AFU in hepatocarcinoma model group and ESB groups were higher than that of control group (P < 0.05). ESB could relieve hepatic injures. The levels of liver function indexes in ESB groups were lower than that of model group. Histological examination demonstrated that the number of liver cancer nodus in ESB groups were lower than that of model group. Furthermore, ESB could attenuate the grade of cancer cell differentiation., Conclusion: ESB could inhibit experimental hepatocarcinoma and relieve hepatic injures in rats.

Objective: To investigate the effects of Scutellaria barbata extract (ESB) in suppressing tumor growth and modulating the immune functions in mice bearing tumors derived from hepatocarcinoma H22 cells., Methods: Fifty mice inoculated subcutaneously with H22 cells were equally divided into the model group, high-, moderate-, and low-dose ESB groups, and 5-Fu group, with corresponding treatments for 10 days. Another 10 mice with only saline injection served as the normal control group. The body weight, tumor mass, thymus index and spleen index of the mice were measured, and the lymphocyte proliferation activity, NK cell activity and interleukin-2 (IL-2) production by the splenocytes were detected., Results: Moderate- and high-dose ESB significantly suppressed the tumor growth with tumor inhibition rate of 28.68% and 36.98%, respectively. ESB treatment at moderate and high doses significantly increased the thymus index and spleen index (P < 0.01), which were decreased significantly in 5-Fu group. The lymphocyte proliferation activity, NK cell activity and IL-2 production by the splenocytes were significantly lower in the model group than in the normal group (P < 0.05). Compared with the model group, ESB at the high dose obviously increased the three indexes above mentioned. The NK cell activity was also significantly improved in moderate-dose ESB group (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: ESB can suppress the growth of H22 implant tumor and enhance the immune function of the tumor-bearing mice.

Objective: To summarize the clinical experiences in percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)/percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy (PEJ)., Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 578 patients who received either PEG or PEJ from July 2001 to December 2007 in our hospital. The data analyzed included the type, aim, duration, success rate, and complications of these procedures., Results: Of 578 patients, 247 patients underwent PEG, 293 patients underwent percutaneous endoscopic gastrojejunostomy (PEGJ), 4 patients received percutaneous endoscopic duodenostomy (PED), 4 patients underwent direct percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy (DPEJ), 4 patients underwent percutaneous endoscopic colostomy (PEC), and 26 patients received PEG/J combined stents. These procedures were performed in different clinical conditions, including enteral nutrition (n = 329), decompression combined enteral nutrition (n = 133), decompression of the gastrointestinal tract (n = 103), enteral nutrition combined bile refeeding (n = 5), perioperative applications (n = 4), and coloclysis (n = 4). Tubes were successfully placed in 578 patients (98.0%) in an average time of (7.5 +/- 1.9) min in PEG, (17.7 +/- 4.2) min in PEGJ, (14.8 +/- 2.1) min in DPEJ, (12.3 +/- 2.5) min in PED, (11.3 +/- 2.6) min in PEC, and (30.2 +/- 5.2) min in PEG/J combined stent, respectively. No procedure-related complications were observed. Major complications were found in 6 patients (1.04%) and minor complications in 36 patients (6.23%). The duration of tube functioning was (168.37 +/- 198.64) d., Conclusions: PEG/PEJ are easy to handle, effective, safe, and convenient for nursing. The endoscopic method of tube placement can be performed at the bedside and allow for enteral feeding, gastrointestinal decompression, and internal biliary drainage to be rapidly and efficiently achieved.

Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of fast track surgery (FTS) management in gastric cancer undergoing D2 gastrectomy., Methods: Eighty gastric cancer patients undergoing D2 gastrectomy were recruited prospectively. Patients were assigned to receive FTS management (n = 40) or conventional perioperative care (n = 40). The FTS care included shorten preoperative fasting time, no nasogastric decompressing tubes and abdominal drainage placed, early postoperative oral feeding, multimodal analgesia, and early mobilisation. The length of postoperative hospital stay, medical cost, nutritional status, gut function, and postoperative complications in the two groups were recorded and compared., Results: FTS group was associated with a significantly shorter postoperative hospital stay compared with conventional care group [(5.6 +/- 1.3) d vs. (9.4 +/- 1.9) d, P < 0.05]. Medical cost was less [(18 620 +/- 2360) Yuan vs. (20 370 +/- 2440) Yuan, P < 0.05] and duration of intravenous infusion [(3.5 +/- 1.4) d vs. (5.8 +/- 1.9) d, P < 0.05] was also shorter. First passage of flatus was earlier in FTS group than in conventional care group [(4.3 +/- 0.4) d vs. (5.5 +/- 0.9) d, P < 0.05]. Loss of body weight in the postoperative period was less in FTS group [(3.2 +/- 0.8) kg vs. (4.3 +/- 1.6) kg, P < 0.05]. There was no difference in morbidity or mortality between the two groups., Conclusion: FTS in D2 gastrectomy is safe and efficient, and it can shorten postoperative hospital stay and hasten return of gut function.
