Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the Apathy Evaluation Scale Short Form (K AES-10) for people with dementia. Methods: Participants in this study were 198 patients with dementia resident in two hospitals in the Republic of Korea. The AES-10 was translated into Korean through the translation and adaptation of instruments process developed by the World Health Organization. This process was carried out by three bilingual nursing professionals. Validity and reliability, such as construct validity, convergent validity, Cronbach's ⍺, inter-rater reliability, and test-retest reliability, were evaluated. IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 and AMOS 26.0 programs were used for the data analysis. Results: A uni-dimensional model was proposed in the explanatory factor analysis; a single factor accounted for 68.0% of total variances. High-fat diet (HFD)-induced obesity has been associated with alteration of gut microbiota alongside body weight gain. In this study, the synbiotic effect of Lactobacillus gasseri 505 (LG) and Cudrania tricuspidata (CT) in HFD-induced mice was revealed. After feeding mice with high-fat diet for 10 weeks, combination of LG and CT (LG_CT) exhibited the greatest reduction in the final body weight (11.9%). Moreover, microbial diversity significantly increased, and Principal Coordinate Analysis (PCoA) revealed that the LG_CT group showed closer cluster to NORM. At phylum level, the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes (F/B) ratio increased in HFD, and the abundance of Bacteroidetes was restored by LG and CT. At genus level, notable changes in Alistipes, Desulfovibrio, Bilophila, and Acetatifactor were observed. Helicobacter elevated to 16.2% in HFD and diminished dramatically to less than 0.01% in LG and/or CT. At species level, L. gasseri increased after the administration of LG (0.54%) and LG_CT (1.14%), suggesting that LG may grow and colonize in the gut and CT can function as a prebiotic. Finally, functional analysis revealed certain metabolic factors correlated with body weight and gut microbiota. This study serves as a potential basis for the application of L. gasseri 505 and C. tricuspidata in the prevention and treatment of diet-induced obesity. Objective: To investigate clinical characteristics and risk factors of patients with Flupirtine-induced liver cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods: A total of 116 patients with liver cirrhosis admitted to our hospital from July 2018 to July 2019 were selected and divided into bleeding group (liver cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, n = 71) and non-bleeding group (liver cirrhosis, n = 45). The clinical data of patients in the two groups were collected, including general data, liver function, urinalysis, coagulation function and imaging data. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were utilized to find the influencing factors of liver cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Results: Of the 116 patients, 45 patients had upper gastrointestinal bleeding, with an incidence rate of 38.79%, including 18 patients (40.00%) with rupture of esophageal varices, 9 (20.00%) with rupture of gastric varices, 9 (20.00%) of portal hypertensive gastropathy, 8 (17.78%) with peptic ulcer, 1 (2.22%) with acute erosive hemorrhagic gastritis; 14 (31.11%) experienced recurrent hemorrhage within 72 hours after treatment, but no death occurred. There were 45 cases (38.79%) in the bleeding group, and 71 (61.21%) in the non-bleeding group, and the differences in the course of liver cirrhosis, the degree of esophageal varices, peptic ulcer, portal hypertension, non-steroidal drug medication and TP between the bleeding group and non-bleeding group were significant (P < 0.05). Severe esophageal varices, liver cirrhosis, peptic ulcer, portal hypertension, non-steroidal drug medication, and TP ≥ 16 s were found to be risk factors of liver cirrhosis complicated with upper gastrointestinal bleeding by logistic regression analysis. Conclusion: Clinically, it is necessary to take corresponding intervention measures to reduce the incidence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding in patients with liver cirrhosis and improve the prognosis of patients with liver cirrhosis.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the transradial artery approach (TRA) for treating malfunctioning arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) in patients on hemodialysis.A retrospective analysis was conducted in this single-center study of TRA endovascular procedures in 73 patients (43 male and 30 female; mean age of 67.4 years (range, 42-92 years) with malfunctioning AVFs, between January 2008 and April 2019. Patients' baseline and lesion characteristics, technical and clinical success, and complications were evaluated, and functional patency was analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method.Radial artery approaches were successful in all patients. Angioplasty performed using the TRA achieved technical and clinical success rates of 98.6%(72/73) and 91.7%(67/73), respectively. The median primary patency time was 18.8 ± 15.9 months. The primary functional patency rates at 3, 6, and 12 months were 82.1%, 68.6%, and 63.9%, respectively. There were no major complications or adverse events, such as hand ischemia, related to the radial artery approach.In selected cases, the TRA can be used complementary to the transvenous approach to treat malfunctioning AVFs.혈액투석경로의 기능부전에 대한 인터벤션 치료 시 경요골 동맥 접근법의 유용성을 연구하고자 한다.2008년 1월부터 2019년 4월까지 73명의 환자에서(남성 43명, 여성 30명, 평균 연령 67.4세; 범위 42–92세) 경요골 동맥 접근법을 이용한 시술을 시행한 환자들에 대해 후향적 연구를 시행하였다. 환자들의 기본적인 특성과 병변의 특성, 경요골 동맥 접근을 통한 인터벤션 시술의 기술적 및 임상적 성공률, 시술과 연관된 합병증에 대해 조사하였고 장기 개통성에 대해서는 카플란-마이어 방법을 이용하여 분석하였다.모든 환자에서 요골 동맥을 통한 혈관조영술을 성공적으로 시행하였고, 기술적 성공률은 98.6%(72/73), 임상적 성공률은 91.7%(67/73)였다. 일차적 개통률의 중앙값은 18.8 ± 15.9개월이었고, 3, 6, 12개월 누적 개통률은 각각 82.1%, 68.6%, 그리고 63.9%였다. 모든 환자에서 손의 허혈과 같은 주요한 합병증은 발생하지 않았으며 경요골 동맥 천자와 연관한 즉각적인 합병증 또한 발생하지 않았다.혈액투석경로 기능 부전 환자에서 경요골 동맥 접근법을 통한 인터벤션 시술은 안전하고 임상적으로 유용한 방법으로 생각된다. 또한 선별된 환자에서 전통적인 경정맥 접근법에 대해 대안으로 기능할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
