With the development of information technology, the high-speed private data stream encryption transmission system is more and more widely used in the field of education. The high-speed private data stream encryption transmission system can realize high-speed and safe data transmission and protect the privacy and security of user data. To protect the security of private data in the online education of specialty "traffic engineering", an encryption transmission system for high-speed private data stream is designed. After the online education system and core modules of traffic engineering are analyzed, the system framework is designed through the codec module and the high-speed privacy data stream processing control and transmission module. The sliding window segmentation method is used to extract the privacy data in the education system and send it to the coding sub-module. Based on a homomorphic encryption algorithm, a private data stream encryption and decryption model is established. The key encoding is designed by the vector quantization coding method. The private data is authenticated according to the characteristics of the key, and the data encryption transmission is completed through the microcontroller. The experimental results show that the encrypted data of the designed system has only 0.01 Gbit loss, and the encryption time is only 93ms. The data dimension displayed after encryption is relatively scattered, and the distribution probability of encrypted data is between 1500–2000, which can effectively encrypt the private data in the online education system of transportation engineering specialty, and improve the security of high-speed private data flow in the online education system of transportation engineering specialty. A primary challenge in multi-agent reinforcement learning for traffic signal control is to produce effective cooperative traffic-signal policies in non-stationary multi-agent traffic environments. However, each agent suffers from its local non-stationary traffic environment caused by the time-varying traffic-signal policies of adjacent agents; At the same time, different agents also produce time-varying traffic-signal policies, which further results in the non-stationarity of the whole traffic environment, so these produced traffic-signal policies may be ineffective. In this work, we propose a Causal Inference Multi-Agent reinforcement learning (CI-MA) algorithm, which can alleviate the non-stationarity of multi-agent traffic environments from both feature representation and optimization, eventually helps to produce effective cooperative traffic-signal policies. Specifically, a Causal-Inference (CI) model is first designed to reason about and tackle the non-stationarity of multi-agent traffic environments by both acquiring feature representation distributions and deriving variational lower bounds (i.e., objective functions); And then, based on the designed CI model, we propose a CI-MA algorithm, in which the feature representations are acquired from the non-stationarity of multi-agent traffic environments at both task level and timestep level, the acquired feature representations are used to produce cooperative traffic-signal policies and Q-values for multiple agents; Finally the corresponding objective functions optimize the whole algorithm from both causal inference and multi-agent reinforcement learning. Experiments are conducted in different non-stationary multi-agent traffic environments. Results show that CI-MA algorithm outperforms other state-of-the-art algorithms, and demonstrate that the proposed algorithm trained in synthetic-traffic environments can be effectively transferred to both synthetic- and real-traffic environments with non-stationarity. This paper aims to investigate the influence of time delay effect and steady flow control strategy on traffic flow. Consider that the time delay in sensing flux information during the operation of traffic system is inevitable. Meanwhile, a new method is applied to model and analyse traffic system. A novel discrete‐time lattice hydrodynamic model considering time delay is introduced in this paper. Based on the proposed model with constant and varying time‐delay, the asymptotic stabilities are investigated and corresponding stable conditions are derived. The traffic flow evolution trend with and without time delay is conducted and compared by numerical simulations. Also, under the influence of different control gain conditions, density wave characteristics for traffic flow system with time delay are intuitively shown. The results indicate that time delay effect in sensing density and flux information can aggravate traffic congestion, and traffic congestion will be effectively relieved by considering steady flow control signal. Using a nonlocal macroscopic LWR‐type traffic flow model, we present an approach to control the nonlocal velocity towards a given equilibrium velocity. Therefore, we present a Lyapunov function measuring the L2 distance between these velocities. We compute the explicit rate at which the system tends towards the stationary speed. To better prepare and guide both intersection planning and operations under different market penetration rates (MPRs) of connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) and traffic demands, this research estimates both the lane-level and intersection-level capacity. On the lane-level, adjustment factors for saturation headway and saturation traffic flow rate for each lane under different MPRs of CAVs are investigated. On the intersection-level, the maximum throughput function for different MPRs of CAVs is calibrated. With 100% CAVs, the saturation headways for the exclusive through lane, exclusive left-turn lane, and shared-right-and-through lane decrease by 55.8%, 48.9%, and 42.4%, respectively. The maximum throughput of the intersection with 100% CAVs increases by 70% compared to the scenario with only human driving vehicles (HDVs). Moreover, the maximum throughput increases rapidly after 60% MPRs of CAVs. Advancement of mobile technologies has enabled economical collection, storage, processing, and sharing of traffic data. These data are made accessible to intended users through various application program interfaces (API) and can be used to recognize and mitigate congestion in real time. In this paper, quantitative (time of arrival) and qualitative (color-coded congestion levels) data were acquired from the Google traffic APIs. New parameters that reflect heterogeneous traffic conditions were defined and utilized for real-time control of traffic signals while maintaining the green-to-red time ratio. The proposed method utilizes a congestion-avoiding principle commonly used in computer networking. Adaptive congestion levels were observed on three different intersections of Delhi (India), in peak hours. It showed good variation, hence sensitive for the control algorithm to act efficiently. Also, simulation study establishes that proposed control algorithm decreases waiting time and congestion. Recently, telesurgery, as a branch of telemedicine, is growing at great speed. In telesurgery, a remote surgeon can communicate with operating room through communication networks in order to perform remote operation. Because human life is at stake in telesurgery, it is necessary to implement appropriate Traffic Engineering (TE) techniques to manage and route telesurgical data traffics over communication networks. Implementing proper TE technique can increase Quality of Experience (QoE) for the remote surgeon, and as a result, it increases the accuracy and performance of telesurgery. In recent years, the advent of Software Defined Network (SDN) has facilitated network providers to develop efficient TE methods to guarantee QoE for their customer applications. In this paper, a novel multi-objective TE technique called SMOTE is proposed to guarantee QoE for telesurgery applications over SDN. The goal of this paper is to enable a network administrator to provide a satisfactory remote operation by providing QoE for the remote surgeon. The objectives, which are considered in our proposed method, are the minimization of end-to-end delay and packet loss. SMOTE uses Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II) a well-known multi-objective algorithm, to solve the optimization model for calculating optimal routes between the remote surgeon and the operating room. The rapid global spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is now a reality. China has taken urban traffic control measures to prevent and control the epidemic, but this has prevented the flow of people between cities. This study investigates the mechanism of the impact of urban traffic control measures on the intercity population flow in China using the one-way causal measurement method. The results show that the impact of urban traffic control measures on the intercity flow of the population changes with time. Objectives: This study examines whether police behavior that signals higher quality of treatment or decision-making leads to higher perceived procedural justice. Methods: Analyses are based on data collected during police traffic controls of moped drivers in two Dutch cities over a period of six months. Police behavior was measured through systematic social observation (SSO), and data on perceived procedural justice were collected through face-to-face interviews immediately after the encounters. Linear regression analysis with bootstrap estimates was used (n = 218), with an overall perceived procedural justice scale as the dependent variable in all regressions. Independent variables included an overall observed procedural justice index and four separate scales of police treatment and decision-making. Results: We find no evidence that police behavior that signals fairer treatment or decision-making leads to higher perceived procedural justice. Conclusions: Our findings add to the currently very limited empirical evidence on an important question, and raise questions about a central idea, that more procedurally just treatment and decision making by authorities leads to an increase in perceived procedural justice and enhanced compliance. In this study, an early runway incursion warning method was developed based on a Petri net model in order to achieve zero missing and false runway incursion warnings. The runway incursion warning scenario is analyzed based on the output states of the aircraft/vehicles in the airport surface. The runway operation model based on a Petri net model was established by considering Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport as an example. In addition to the runway warning rules, the standard runway operation constraints are imposed on the Petri net model to provide early warnings in nine runway incursion scenarios. Traffic at urban intersections constitute a series of complex conflicting vehicular movements and contribute greatly to the problems of traffic congestion and air pollution. The emerging of connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technologies inspires innovative ideas in traffic management at intersections; it not only enables new control paradigms, but also allows for possibilities to revolutionize the geometric layouts of intersections. This study proposes a novel intersection design called knotted intersection (KI), to resolve the complexity of conflicting relations at intersections in a full CAV environment. This new design is associated with a set of neat control rules for vehicles to realize the smooth traffic operation at these intersections. The design problem of intersection geometry and control strategy is optimized jointly and formulated as a mixed-integer linear program (MILP), and some basic theoretical properties of KI design are derived, including nearly throughput-maximizing property and bounded within-intersection delay of vehicles. Furthermore, the KI design is then extended to a road network composed of multiple intersections to improve the overall efficiency. The optimal design of multiple knotted intersections (MKI) is developed to coordinate the traffic organization methods among intersections and a two-level solution method is proposed to solve the optimization efficiently. The Internet of Things, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence offer modern technology for real‐time processing for multiple applications such as healthcare applications, transport, traffic control, and so on blockchain is an evolving technology that will dramatically boost transaction protection in finance, supply chain, and other transaction networks. A stable and latency‐sensitive Quality of Service framework for COVID‐19 is the need of an hour. The purpose of this paper is to combine Fog computing and Artificial Intelligence with smart health to establish a reliable platform for early‐stage detection of COVID‐19 infection. A new ensemble‐based classifier is proposed to detect COVID‐19 patients. This research offers a blockchain platform to analyse how the unrelated cases of the COVID‐19 virus can be tracked and identified using peer‐to‐peer, time stamping, and the shared storage advantages of blockchain. In addition to growing patient loyalty, this would effectively enhance the consistency, flexibility, productivity, performance, and effectiveness of healthcare services. The idea of blockchain is used to establish security for the whole framework. Different implementations measure the efficiency of the suggested system. The performance of the proposed framework is evaluated in terms of delay, network usages, RAM usages, and energy consumption. On the other hand, the classifier is evaluated in terms of classifier accuracy, recall, precision, kappa static, and root mean square error. In this article, we study the problem of stabilizing the traffic flow on a ring road to a uniform steady-state using autonomous vehicles (AV). Traffic is represented at a microscopic level via a Bando-Follow-the-Leader model capable of reproducing phantom jams. For the single-lane case, a single AV can stabilize an arbitrary large ring road with an arbitrary large number of cars. Moreover, this stabilization is exponentially quick with a decay rate independent of the number of cars and a control gain also independent of the number of cars. On the other side, the stabilization domain and stabilization time depend on the number of cars. Two types of controller algorithms are proposed: a proportional control and a proportional-integral control. In both cases, the measurements used by the controller only depend on the local data around the AV, enabling an easy implementation. After numerical tests of the single-lane case, a multilane model is described using a safety-incentive mechanism for lane change. In order to reveal the driving psychological characteristics and influencing factors of drivers under the hairpin curve section, 11 continuous hairpin curves on mountain roads were selected for natural driving test, and the on-board instruments were used to collect the driver's ElectroCardioGraphy (ECG) under the natural driving habits. Analyse the overall heart rate characteristics, Heart Rate Increase (HRI), Heart Rate Variability (HRV) characteristics of drivers, as well as the relationship between heart rate change and the visual performance of curve corner and slop and curve environment. And compared with the general curve. The results show that: with 180° as the limit, the curve angle of the hairpin curve was divided into 3 types: greater, less or approximate. The 3 types of curve angle have different effects on the driver's heart rate fluctuations. The overall heart rate distribution can be divided into 2 regions, in which the average heart rate of each driver at the curve, which curve angle ≈ 180°, was higher than the other 2 types of curves. The overall fluctuation range of heart rate in the middle of the curve is at the lowest level in the 3-stage curve segment area. Through the eigenvalue analysis of HRI, it can be seen that the drivers were more susceptible to the external environment when going downhill. When going uphill, the distribution range of the heart rate abnormality value was stable, but the sudden change was obvious. However, during the downhill direction, the overall adjacent heart rate varies greatly, but the abrupt change was small. Take the change trend of the HRI in the curve segment as an indicator, heart rate types were divided into 4 categories, continuous tension, relax gradually, relaxation-tension, and tension-relaxation. The 4 modes have a significant relationship with the difference of curve entrance environment. Travel time estimation plays an essential role in the high-granular traffic control and management of urban roads with distinct lane-changing conditions among lanes. However, little attention has been given to the estimation of distributions of travel times among different lanes and different vehicle types in addition to their expected values. This paper proposes a new method for estimating lane-based travel time distributions with consideration of different vehicle types through matching low-resolution vehicle video images taken by conventional traffic surveillance cameras. The vehicle type classification is based on vehicle sizes and deep learning features extracted by densely connected convolutional neural networks, and the vehicle re-identification is conducted through a lane-based bipartite graph matching technique. A case study is carried out on a congested urban road in Hong Kong. Results show that the proposed method performs well in estimating the lane-level travel time distributions by vehicle type which can be very helpful for various lane-based and vehicle type-specific traffic management schemes. This manuscript presents an Adam optimization-based Deep Reinforcement Learning model for Mixed Traffic Flow control (ADRL-MTF), so as to guide Connected and Autonomous vehicle's (CAV) longitudinal trajectory on a typical urban roadway with signal-controlled intersections. Two improvements are made when compared with prior literatures. First, the common assumptions to simplify the problem solving, such as dividing a vehicle trajectory into several segments with constant acceleration/deceleration, are avoided, to improve the modeling realism. Second, built on the efficient Adam Optimization and Deep Q-Learning, the proposed model avoids the enumeration of states and actions, and is computational efficient and suitable for real time applications. The mixed traffic flow dynamic is firstly formulated as a finite Markov decision process (MDP) model. Due to the discretization of time, space and speed, this MDP model becomes high-dimensional in state, and is very challenging to solve. We then propose a temporal difference-based deep reinforcement learning approach, with ε -greedy for exploration-exploitation balance. Two neural networks are developed to replace the traditional Q function and generate the targets in the Q-learning update. These two neural networks are trained by the Adam optimization algorithm, which extends stochastic gradient descent and considers the second moments of the gradients, and is thus highly computational efficient and has lower memory requirements. The proposed model is shown to reduce fuel consumption by 7.8%, which outperforms a prior benchmark model based on Monte Carlo Tree Search. To contend traffic congestion on urban networks, existing studies have made great efforts to develop traffic-responsive signal timing algorithms in the last decade. More recently, as an alternative to conventional model-based algorithms, machine learning-based methods have been tested on traffic light timing problems and show promising potentials. However, many researchers and practitioners still questioned the feasibility and applicability of adopting machine learning techniques in the ATSC domain. One of the reasons is that these methods assumed flawless detectors and heavily relied on simulators for training and evaluations. To address such a critical concern, this article customizes a Deep Q-learning Learning (DQL) method to optimize traffic signal timings at urban intersections, where the partial observations from identity-based detectors are inputs, and the green splits are outputs. A simulation-free data-driven prediction model is also developed to train the DQL with reduced computational time. Then the machine learning-based methods are evaluated on a real-world case with Automatic Number-Plate Recognition (ANPR) data. Experiments show the proposed data-driven model can predict the traffic state in limited computational time, and the DQL algorithm is 3.9% better than the field experiment performance from the adaptive control system, SCOOT, and 22% better than the time-of-day plan by SYNCHRO. The results indicate the DQL methods can only yield marginal improvement with restrictive input and output settings in congested traffic flow in comparison to the conventional adaptive method. Effective accident detection and traffic flow forecasting are of great importance for quick respond, impact elimination and intelligent control of the traffic flow consisting of autonomous vehicles. This paper proposes a traffic accident detection method for connected and automated transport systems by conducting a grid-based parameter extracting and SVC-based traffic state classification. Allowing for the dynamic spread of traffic flow over time, from upstream to downstream and from accident lanes to other lanes, a spatiotemporal Markov model is established to predict the evolution of traffic flow after accident by introducing the grid as state detection unit and fitting the spatiotemporal evolution with the parameter space mean speed to match the need of both detection accuracy and monitoring scope. Compared with actual accident data, the validation results indicate that the proposed methods present a good performance in accident detection with the accident detection rate as 87.72% and a higher precision rate than both SVM (support vector machine) and ANN (artificial neural network) models in traffic flow prediction. With the active traffic accident identification and dynamic traffic flow prediction, it is beneficial to shorten detection time, reduce possible impacts of traffic accidents and carbon emissions from congestion. To enhance the traffic operation efficiency at signalized intersections, a model for coupled control of traffic signals and connected autonomous vehicles at isolated signalized intersections is proposed. This model estimates the time that CAVs reach stop lines with real-time information about the speed and position of CAVs. The arrival time is leveraged to optimize traffic signal timing by rolling horizon, with the maximization of phase saturation as the optimization objective. Based on the optimized traffic signal timing, the speed profile of CAVs is optimized by a linear integer programming, with the maximization of speed at the moment of reaching the stop line as the optimization objective. Through the coupled control of travel speed and the traffic signal, CAVs can pass through the intersection safely, efficiently, and smoothly. NetLogo, a multiagent microscopic simulator, is developed to test this strategy, and an intersection in Weihai is taken for verification and analysis lastly. The simulation results demonstrate that, compared with the fixed traffic signal timing control and the model optimizing only speed profile of CAVs, the proposed model can reduce the average number of stops by 47.0% and the queuing time by 41.3%. Detection and recognizing the moving objects is needed in terms of learning direction, as a classification algorithm, it employs OpenCV and to create an integrated multi-module system, uses the Qt interface library. A software platform for achieving a moving object with a single objective detection and identification. In a picture, an item tracking system is used to monitor the motion trajectory of an object. First, we use OpenCV’s pick ROI function to choose an item on a frame and utilise the built-in tracker to monitor its movements. we utilize YOLO to identify and track objects in each frame using object centrefold and size comparison. Then, by identifying the item in the first frame using YOLO and tracking it with select ROI, we integrate YOLO detection with OpenCV’s built-in tracker. With the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of closure measures in 2020, population mobility and human activities have decreased, which has seriously impacted atmospheric quality. Huaibei City is an important coal and chemical production base in East China, which faces increasing environmental problems. The impact of anthropogenic activities on air quality in this area was investigated by comparing the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020 with the normal situation in 2021. Tropospheric NO2, HCHO and SO2 column densities were observed by ground-based multiple axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS). In situ measurements for PM2.5, NO2, SO2 and O3 were also taken. The observation period was divided into four phases, the pre-lockdown period, phase 1 lockdown, phase 2 lockdown and the post-lockdown period. Ground-based MAX-DOAS results showed that tropospheric NO2, HCHO and SO2 column densities increased by 41, 14 and 14%, respectively, during phase 1 in 2021 vs. 2020. In situ results showed that NO2 and SO2 increased by 59 and 11%, respectively, during phase 1 in 2021 vs. 2020, but PM2.5 and O3 decreased by 15 and 17%, respectively. In the phase 2 period, due to the partial lifting of control measures, the concentration of pollutants did not significantly change. The weekly MAX-DOAS results showed that there was no obvious weekend effect of pollutants in the Huaibei area, and NO2, HCHO and SO2 had obvious diurnal variation characteristics. In addition, the relationship between the column densities and wind speed and direction in 2020 and 2021 was studied. The results showed that, in the absence of traffic control in 2021, elevated sources in the Eastern part of the city emitted large amounts of NO2. The observed ratios of HCHO to NO2 suggested that tropospheric ozone production involved NOX-limited scenarios. In order to alleviate the increasingly serious traffic congestion problem in China, realize intelligent traffic control, and provide accurate and real-time traffic flow prediction data for traffic flow guidance and traffic travel, this paper designs a GPS-based vehicle trajectory fusion optimization deep model BN-LSTM-CNN which makes full use of the temporal and spatial correlation characteristics of dynamic traffic flow to improve the accuracy of short-term traffic flow prediction. The parameters of the historical GPS dynamic trajectory of the traffic network link are converted into a two-dimensional matrix image of time and space relationship. First, the spatial features are input to the CNN network, and the spatial dependence relationship between the links is mined, then the traffic flow time series modeling is performed with a four-layer ConvLSTM network, and the BN normalization layer is added to normalize the activation value of the previous layer on each batch, so that the model can obtain higher training accuracy and quickly complete the prediction of the traffic flow state in a certain period of time in the future. The experimental results show that the prediction model is fast to optimize, the prediction error is the smallest compared with other methods, and it can meet the real-time requirements of urban traffic control. Optimizing traffic control systems at traffic intersections can reduce the network-wide fuel consumption, as well as emissions of conventional fuel-powered vehicles. While traffic signals have been controlled based on predetermined schedules, various adaptive signal control systems have recently been developed using advanced sensors such as cameras, radars, and LiDARs. Among these sensors, cameras can provide a cost-effective way to determine the number, location, type, and speed of the vehicles for better-informed decision-making at traffic intersections. In this research, a new approach for accurately determining vehicle locations near traffic intersections using a single camera is presented. For that purpose, a well-known object detection algorithm called YOLO is used to determine vehicle locations in video images captured by a traffic camera. YOLO draws a bounding box around each detected vehicle, and the vehicle location in the image coordinates is converted to the world coordinates using camera calibration data. During this process, a significant error between the center of a vehicle's bounding box and the real center of the vehicle in the world coordinates is generated due to the angled view of the vehicles by a camera installed on a traffic light pole. As a means of mitigating this vehicle localization error, two different types of regression models are trained and applied to the centers of the bounding boxes of the camera-detected vehicles. The accuracy of the proposed approach is validated using both static camera images and live-streamed traffic video. Traffic flow prediction is one of the most important tasks of the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSs) for traffic management, and it is also a challenging task affected by many complex factors, such as weather and time. Many cities adopt efficient traffic prediction methods to control traffic congestion. However, most of the existing methods of traffic prediction focus on urban road scenarios, neglecting the complexity of multivariate auxiliary information in highways. Moreover, these methods have difficulty explaining the prediction results based only on the historical traffic flow sequence. To tackle these problems, we propose a novel traffic prediction model, namely Multi-variate and Multi-horizon prediction based on Long Short-Term Memory (MMLSTM). MMLSTM can effectively incorporate auxiliary information, such as weather and time, based on a strategy of multi-horizon time spans to improve the prediction performance. Specifically, we first exploit a multi-horizon bidirectional LSTM model for fusing the multivariate auxiliary information in different time spans. Then, we combine an attention mechanism and multi-layer perceptron to conduct the traffic prediction. Furthermore, we can use the information of multivariate (weather and time) to provide interpretability to manage the model. Based on the spatiotemporal characteristics of traffic flow and periodicity of traffic flow, this paper uses partial differential equation variables to reflect the spatiotemporal characteristics of traffic flow, combines the modelling mechanism of partial differential and the grey prediction model organically, and establishes a partial grey prediction model with control matrix by using the partial derivatives of the mean sequence. At the same time, the parameters estimation and modelling steps of the novel model are obtained by matrix analysis and recursion. A set of data is used from two perspectives to verify the proposed model's effectiveness. Experimental results show that the proposed model is stable and effective. Finally, the novel model is applied to the short-time traffic flow simulation and prediction of the highway. The research results show that the novel model is better than other comparison models. The novel model mainly aims at the matrix data form of traffic flow and is applied to general short-term traffic flow prediction. Since driving anger expression and its adverse consequences is an issue that has not been resolved over the last years or even has increased among Iranian drivers over time, this study aimed to evaluate the driving anger expression (DAX) and its impacts on the traffic locus of control (T-LOC) and crash involvement among drivers in Tehran, Iran. By collecting data from 1035 participants, exploratory factor analysis identified significant constructs of DAX including "Adaptive, "Verbal anger expression", "Use of the vehicle to express anger", and "Personal physical anger expression" and T-LOC including "Self", "Other drivers", "Vehicle/environment", and "Fate/luck". A two-phase approach of K-means clustering and a logistic regression model was then used to evaluate the effects of driving anger expression on T-LOC and crash involvement. The results revealed that while males and younger drivers reported more aggressive orientation in driving anger situations, females, older drivers, and those with higher driving experience significantly showed a higher level of adaptive orientation in driving anger situations. The logistic regression models showed that external T-LOC (believing that other people and factors are responsible for an accident, not themselves) was significantly higher in middle-aged drivers and those with 11–20 years of driving experience. Also, drivers with adaptive anger expression were less likely to report a high level of external T-LOC. On the other hand, the use of the vehicle to express anger increased the probability of external T-LOC. The connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) is promised to ease congestion in the future with the rapid development of related technologies in recent years. To explore the characteristics of mixed-traffic flow and the dynamic transmission mechanism, this paper firstly detailed the car-following model of different vehicle types, establishing the fundamental diagram of the mixed-traffic flow through considering the different penetration rates and fleet size of CAV. Secondly, this paper constructed the lane-changing judgment mechanism based on the random utility theory. Finally, the paper proposed a lane-level dynamic cell transmission process, combined with a lane-changing strategy and cell transmission model. The effectiveness and feasibility of the model are verified using simulation analysis. This model makes a systematic, theoretical analysis from the perspective of the internal operation mechanism of traffic flow, and the lane-level traffic strategy provides a theoretical basis for balancing urban lane distribution and intelligent traffic management and control. We are studying the use of digital twins to optimize traffic flow so that traffic congestion will not occur. To reproduce current real-world traffic flow and predict future traffic flow using digital twins requires traffic-demand data with fine granularity in time and space. Due to recent increasing activity to create smart cities, we can now obtain cross-sectional traffic-volume data for short time intervals of five minutes, but such measurements are still only being taken at a relatively small number of locations, so spatial granularity is large. In this article, we introduce our OD (origin-destination)-estimation technology that uses cross-sectional traffic volume on arterial roads to interpolate such fragmented cross-sectional traffic data to generate realistic traffic-demand data. Reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms have been widely applied in solving traffic signal control problems. Traffic environments, however, are intrinsically nonstationary, which creates a convergence problem that RL algorithms struggle to overcome. Basically, as a target problem for an RL algorithm, the Markov decision process (MDP) can be solved only when both the transition and reward functions do not vary. Unfortunately, the environment for traffic signal control is not stationary since the goal of traffic signal control varies according to congestion levels. For unsaturated traffic conditions, the objective of traffic signal control should be to minimize vehicle delay. On the other hand, the objective must be to maximize the throughput when traffic flow is saturated. A multiregime analysis is possible for varying conditions, but classifying the traffic regime creates another complex task. The present study provides a meta‐RL algorithm that embeds a latent vector to recognize the different contexts of an environment in order to automatically classify traffic regimes and apply a customized reward for each context. Waiting in a long queue at traffic lights not only wastes valuable time but also pollutes the environment. With the advances in autonomous vehicles and 5G networks, the previous jamming scenarios at intersections may be turned into non-stop weaving traffic flows. Toward this vision, we propose a highly efficient traffic planning system, namely DASHX, which enables connected autonomous vehicles to cross multi-way intersections without a stop. Specifically, DASHX has a comprehensive model to represent intersections and vehicle status. It can constantly process large volumes of vehicle information, resolve scheduling conflicts, and generate optimal travel plans for all vehicles coming toward the intersection in real time. Unlike existing works that are limited to certain types of intersections and lack considerations of practicability, DASHX is universal for any type of 3D intersection and yields the near-maximum throughput while still ensuring riding comfort. To better evaluate the effectiveness of traffic scheduling systems in real-world scenarios, we developed a sophisticated open source 3D traffic simulation platform (DASHX-SIM) that can handle complicated 3D road layouts and simulate vehicles' networking and decision-making processes. Over the years, many models have been created to estimate pollution inventories and fuel usage. These models can be divided into two types: travel-based and fuel-based. One of the most used travel-based models for estimating emission inventories is driving cycles. It can be used for a variety of different things, such as establishing pollution regulations, traffic control, and calculating journey time. For these goals, researchers have previously attempted to use easily available, well-established driving cycles. In many ways, however, the local environment differs greatly from that of the driving cycle's genesis. As a result, these cycles' applications have failed to provide high-quality results. Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) have the capability to relieve congestion by improving roadway capacity by enabling vehicles to safely follow each other with smaller headways than traditional vehicles. This study aims to provide a basis for determining when the implementation of a Dedicated CAV Lane (DCAVL) would be beneficial to typical three-lane freeways. Total vehicle delay was used as the performance metric for assessing when it is ideal to have a DCAVL. Factors that can influence this decision - such as Market Penetration Rate (MPR) of CAVs, CAV-CAV headway, and demand volume - were considered for analysis. A total of 198 scenarios were created in a traffic flow simulation software, each reflecting a unique combination of the input parameters. A base scenario with no DCAVL was used to serve as a basis for comparison. A scenario comparison analysis was utilized to ultimately determine when a DCAVL will cause total vehicle delay to improve beyond the base scenario. The results of this study indicate that a three-lane freeway with a DCAVL will consistently begin to outperform the same three-lane freeway without a DCAVL when the MPR is between 34% and 37%. This research effectively provides a macroscopic view of the effects CAVs and DCAVLs will have on roadway performance and serves as a foundation for policymakers, traffic engineers, and researchers to base their future work upon. The definition of low volume roads (LVRs) is not time static and it varies from place to place around the world. The importance of such roads for providing access, in connecting communities and link farms to markets is well appreciated worldwide. LVRs are credited as the direct source of social economic development in rural communities, growth, reduction of poverty and sustaining livelihood. Nevertheless, the LVR network is growing at an unsatisfactory rate especially in Sub-Saharan Africa. The slow rate in developing LVR network is attributed to the high cost of construction and maintenance. To the author's perspective, research has a significant role in lowering both maintenance and construction costs and in turn realise a growth in the network size and adequacy. To demonstrate the importance of research in road development, a comparison has been made between the current and the previous pavement design methods for LVRs in Tanzania. The improvement so far has been in the determination of subgrade strength using the Dynamic Cone Penetration (DCP) method instead of the less accurate and more demanding California Bering Ratio (CBR) method; a simpler approach in estimating design traffic load that is also less conservative; encouraging the use of local natural materials which could be marginal for construction instead of the conventional but expensive crushed rock; and improvement in layer design which result to less pavement thickness. This research paper aims to study the effect of tram management on traffic fluidity and its impact on car drivers' behaviors at junctions crossed by trams. The methodology used in this research is based on a mathematical model and an investigation of car drivers. The first step is to analyze the data of annual travelers' attendance and assess the number of trams offered and needed in operation to respond adequately to the factual demand. The second step proceeds to show how the previous results of the trams' fleet influence traffic jams. That is, this step identifies how the number of trams used in operation blocks other motorists and reduces traffic flow capacity at junctions. Finally, the purpose of the questionnaire is to determine car drivers' opinions of the causes of traffic congestion at junctions and understand how this phenomenon affects their behaviors. The outcomes demonstrate that tram management is ineffective because there is a considerable gap between the annual offered tram fleet and the actual one needed according to the real statistical data. The high number of trams utilized is the leading cause of traffic congestion. Furthermore, this situation disturbs the control of traffic lights at common intersections. Unfortunately, this outcome is the main reason for drivers' poor behavior, as 75.20% of car drivers are always stressed. These issues have intensified traffic jams in several junctions along the tram line. Accurate and reliable traffic state identification is the prerequisite for developing intelligent traffic programs. With the improvement of intelligent traffic control measures, the traffic state of some highways has gradually stabilized. The current research on traffic state identification needs to fully meet the highly informative intelligent traffic system and traffic state subcategory analysis. To fill the gap above, we propose an improved support tensor machine (STM) method based on self-training and multiclassification for traffic state subcategory identification (ISTM) with ETC gantry data. This paper takes the excellent application of the support vector machine (SVM) in traffic state identification as the starting point of method design and extends to the STM. The ETC gantry data are represented as a third-order tensor model. This paper utilizes the similarity among tensor samples to construct the kernel function and recognize the traffic states. We simplify STM calculation with a one-against-one model and a self-training idea. An optimal fit of the characteristics is supplied by maximizing inter-subcategory tensor block distances and minimizing intra-subcategory tensor block distances throughout a joint utilization of the STM and multiscale training theories. The experiment in this paper uses ETC gantry data from the Jingtai highway in Shandong Province, and the findings reveal that the ISTM has optimum values of 0.2578 and 0.3254 for the SumD and 0.1718 and 0.1901 for the DBI as compared to K-mean clustering and the SVM. Biosecurity practice limits the occurrence of diseases and economic losses in fish farms. The objective of this study was to characterize fish farming in the Administrative Division of Wouri, Cameroon (3°97′04″–3°58′13″N; 9°76′78″–9°46′4.3″E) and assess the biosecurity practices. A cross-sectional biosecurity audit was then conducted in 33 fish farms from March to May 2022. The "snow ball" technique, on-farm observations, and face-to-face interviews of farm managers using a semistructured questionnaire were used for data collection. The results showed that most of the fish farmers were between 18 and 40 years of age (63.64%) and not trained in fish farming (60.61%). The lack of finance (57.57%) was the main constraint to the biosecurity practice. The high fish mortality rate (>15%) was recorded in 66% of the farms. Overall, the compliance rate (CR = 40.52 ± 14.70%) and adoption rate (AR = 40.40 ± 30.10%) of biosecurity measures were intermediate. No type C farm or at the minor risk level of contamination was recorded. Farmers of 18 to 40 years of age (45.24 ± 14.75%) who attended higher school (43.83 ± 14.44%) and received training in fish farming (47.44 ± 14.39%) recorded a significant higher CR. The CR and AR were significantly higher for the isolation component (CR = 60.17 ± 19.81%; AR = 60.17 ± 25.68%) followed by traffic control (CR = 53.53 ± 25.87%; AR = 53.53% ± 34.86) and sanitation (CR = 27.70 ± 19.70%; AR = 29.84 ± 26.00%). A strong (R2 = 0.725), positive, and significant (p = 0.019) linear relationship was found between the level of education of fish farmers and the biosecurity compliance rate while the health status of fish was weakly (R2 = 0.207), positively, and significantly (p = 0.017) influenced by the compliance rate. Fish farming is an income-generating activity that still requires socioeconomic, technical, and institutional efforts for optimal productivity. The Cameroonian government should emphasize on the education, training, and capacity building of farmers on biosecurity practices to minimise the introduction, establishment, and spread of diseases. To investigate the route choice behavior of travelers under unexpected accidents, this study designs four different scenarios of travelers' route choice behavior experiments according to the severity of unexpected accidents. The bounded rationality characteristics of travelers, such as the time perception difference coefficient, psychological threshold effect coefficient, and scale effect, are introduced into the generalized random regret minimization (GRRM) model. An improved generalized random regret minimization (IGRRM) model is constructed based on travelers' route choice behavior under unexpected accidents. The collected data of travelers' route choice results under four different congestion-level scenarios are analyzed by the IGRRM model. The study finds that with the increase in congestion level, travelers are more willing to change the route; during the commute, travelers tend to choose the route with less travel time and angular cost; in the moderate and serious congestion scenarios, travelers no longer reject the detour route; attribute perception difference, scale effect, and psychological threshold effect; affect travelers' route choice behavior. The IGRRM model based on the route choice behavior of travelers can more accurately characterize the route choice behavior of travelers under unexpected accidents, provide a basis for traffic flow distribution under unexpected accidents, and benefit traffic management departments to take traffic control and guidance measures to ease the traffic congestion caused by unexpected accidents. As technology continues to develop, computer vision (CV) applications are becoming increasingly widespread in the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) context. These applications are developed to improve the efficiency of transportation systems, increase their level of intelligence, and enhance traffic safety. Advances in CV play an important role in solving problems in the fields of traffic monitoring and control, incident detection and management, road usage pricing, and road condition monitoring, among many others, by providing more effective methods. This survey examines CV applications in the literature, the machine learning and deep learning methods used in ITS applications, the applicability of computer vision applications in ITS contexts, the advantages these technologies offer and the difficulties they present, and future research areas and trends, with the goal of increasing the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety level of ITS. Vehicle detection in aerial images plays a significant role in many remote sensing applications such as city planning, road construction, and traffic control. However, detecting vehicles in aerial images remains challenging due to the existence of tiny objects, the scale variance within the same type of vehicle objects, and dense arrangement in some scenarios, such as parking lots. At present, many state-of-the-art object detectors cannot generate satisfactory results on vehicle detection in aerial images. The receptive field of the current detector is not fine enough to handle the slight scale variance. Moreover, the densely arranged vehicles will introduce ambiguous positive samples in label assignment and false predictions that cannot be deleted by NMS. To this end, we propose a two-stage framework for vehicle detection that better leverages the prior attribution knowledge of vehicles in aerial images. First of all, we design a Parallel RPN that exploits convolutional layers of different receptive fields to alleviate the scale variation problem. To tackle the densely arranged vehicles, we introduce a density-based sample assigner in the vehicle-intensive areas to reduce low-quality and occluded positive samples in the training process. In addition, a scale-based NMS is proposed to filter out redundant proposals hierarchically from different levels of the feature pyramid. Moreover, we construct two challenging vehicle detection datasets based on the AI-TOD and xView datasets which contain many tiny objects. The usage of the Internet of Things (IoT) in the field of transportation appears to have immense potential. Intelligent vehicle systems can exchange seamless information to assist cars to ensure better traffic control and road safety. The dynamic topology of this network, connecting a large number of vehicles, makes it vulnerable to several threats like authentication, data integrity, confidentiality, etc. These threats jeopardize the safety of vehicles, riders, and the entire system. Researchers are developing several approaches to combat security threats in connected and autonomous vehicles. Artificial Intelligence is being used by both scientists and hackers for protecting and attacking the networks, respectively. Nevertheless, wirelessly coupled cars on the network are in constant peril. This motivated us to develop an intrusion detection model that can be run in low-end devices with low processing and memory capacity and can prevent security threats and protect the connected vehicle network. This research paper presents an Attention-enabled Hierarchical Deep Neural Network (AHDNN) as a solution to detect intrusion and ensure autonomous vehicles' security both at the nodes and at the network level.
