The language used in job postings can deter applicants and contribute to the employment gap, which refers to high rates of youth unemployment occurring simultaneously with high levels of job vacancies. We tested youth preferences for job postings modified using a free online tool that uses natural language processing to make them more appealing to young and diverse candidates. Using data from 1050 respondents aged 18–35 with education below a postsecondary degree, we found a consistent and statistically significant preference for modified postings, irrespective of the extent or types of changes made. More traditionally disadvantaged respondents (i.e., with lower education, lower incomes, disabilities, women, and unemployed youth) displayed a stronger preference for modified postings. These findings suggest that this tool can help employers recruit disadvantaged youth and bridge the employment gap. Practitioner points: Augmented writing platforms have been developed to make job postings more inclusive. However, they can be costly, and none have been empirically tested.We use a diverse sample of Canadian youth to test the efficacy of the HireNext Job Posting Assessment (JPA), a free‐to‐use augmented writing platform.The JPA can be used as an effective tool for hiring managers and recruiters to attract young and diverse applicants. Background: Intrapartum hypoxia causes fetal suffocation, acidosis, newborn brain damage, long-term morbidity, and mortality.1 As a result, intrapartum fetal monitoring is performed to detect early indicators of fetal hypoxia and to take appropriate action as soon as possible to avoid fetal hypoxia complications. Objectives: 1. To study the correlation between fetal Doppler ultrasound and umbilical cord blood gas analysis in detecting fetal academia. 2. To identify the maternal and obstetric determinants associated with fetal acidemia. MATERIAL & METHODS: Study Design: Hospital-based prospective observational study. Study area: The study was conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Study Period: 1 year. Sample size: Using a sample size calculator, expecting a correlation coefficient of r=0.300, the required sample size was calculated to be 85. Study population: During the study period, a total of 92 pregnant women with abnormal fetal Doppler ultrasound findings, meeting the below-mentioned inclusion and exclusion criteria were eventually recruited into this study. Sampling Technique: Simple Random technique. Study tools and Data collection procedure: The institutional ethical committee clearance was obtained. The design and nature of the clinical study were explained to the patients and significant relatives of the patients. Informed consent was obtained from patients. The sociodemographic data was collected and recorded in the specially designed proforma. The socioeconomic class was assessed using the Socio-Economic Status Schedule. The obstetric history data was gathered and recorded in the proforma. All the patients in the sample group (n=92) were subjected to thorough clinical examination which included general physical, systemic examination and pelvic examination. Maternal blood samples for routine laboratory investigations (including tests for acidosis) were sent. Results: There was a significant correlation between gestational age and fetal acidemia (p value=0.0096). A gestational age of 41 weeks or more has a lesser incidence of fetal acidemia. Middle cerebral artery pulsatility index (MCAPI) was significantly associated with fetal academia (p-value of <0.0001). The umbilical artery pulsatility index (UAPI) had a highly significant correlation (p <0.0001) with the umbilical cord blood gas analysis. Conclusion: Based on the statistical analysis of the data, it is safe to assume that fetal Doppler ultrasound can predict the development of fetal acidemia. Two indicators, the Middle cerebral artery pulsatility index and the Umbilical artery pulsatility index, are strong predictors of fetal acidemia. Similarly, determinants like obstetric score, medical comorbidity, general physical examination and status of labour per vaginal examination were also not found to be significantly associated with fetal acidemia. Post-apartheid, the South African economy remains characterised by persistent unemployment and world-leading inequality. Transitioning towards more equal and inclusive economic outcomes is hampered by an industrial base concentrated in powerful firms in upstream resource-based carbon-intensive sectors. Pursuing industrialisation in the context of the push towards decarbonisation and sustainability by significant trading partners depends on a massive investment programme in renewable energy and specific high-emitting sectors and developing linkages between sectors to target a just, equitable, and inclusive transition that tackles the country’s deep-rooted inequalities. This paper evaluates South Africa’s main development finance institution, the Industrial Development Corporation’s role in green industrialisation in South Africa. It investigates whether the investments made and the orientation of the IDC positively impacts the structural transformation of the economy, using disclosed and publicly available data. Pursuing sustainable development has emerged as a paramount global objective, with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) serving as a guiding framework. Increasing environmental degradation is associated with increased greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, industrial waste, fossil fuel depletion, and loss of biodiversity. This study has analyzed the effect of financial inclusion on ecological sustainability while controlling the effect of financial development, energy consumption, economic growth, urbanization, and trade openness in the Next‐11 economies from 1995 to 2019. The study develops the financial inclusion index through principal components analysis by inculcating three demand‐side and three supply‐side factors of financial inclusion. To analyze the developed model, various first‐generation and second‐generation techniques are applied. The results of Westerlund co‐integration reveal significant long‐run co‐integration among the series. The long‐run elasticities are estimated through dynamic common correlated effect estimation and generalized method of moments where results reveal that FI helps to secure environmental sustainability by reducing the ecological footprint, hence it works on the SDG framework. Economic growth and financial development are found to be the root causes of increasing ecological footprint. So, it is the penetration of excessive credit, not the financial inclusivity which needs to be directed toward sustainability. It is suggested that the governments of Next‐11 countries should steer the capital toward sustainable usage and should continue facilitating financial services to curtail environmental degradation. Background: Peripartum cardiomyopathy is a rare cause of heart failure that occurs during late pregnancy or in the early postpartum period. Delays in diagnosis may occur as symptoms of heart failure mimic those of normal pregnancy. The diagnosis should be considered in any pregnant or postpartum woman with symptoms concerning for heart failure. All women with peripartum cardiomyopathy should have close follow-up with a cardiologist, although optimal duration of medical therapy following complete recovery is unknown. Women considering a subsequent pregnancy require preconception counseling and close collaboration between obstetrics and cardiology throughout pregnancy. Aim And Objective: The study aimed to analyze the presentation, complications, pregnancy and fetal outcome in both antepartum and postpartum patients and examine their management. Materials And Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research for a total duration of 2 years from March 2022 to February 2024. Clinical data, including age distribution, gestational age at presentation, parity, presenting symptoms and identifiable risk factors was collected. Summary: 65% patients are booked while the rest 35% are unbooked. 80% patients fall under the age group of 21-30 years. 70% patients were antenatal mothers.80% were singleton pregnancies where as 20% were multiple pregnancies. 65% fall under overweight BMI category. 55% come under NYHA Grade 1.55% had assosciated preeclampsia/eclampsia;50% had assosciatedanaemia;20% had assosciated chronic hypertension.45% patients had ejection fraction of 21-30% and 10% had ejection fraction of 10-20%. There was 1 maternal mortality due to cardiac arrest. There was 1 IUFD and 2 neonatal deaths. Conclusion: PPCM is a diagnosis of exclusion. Aggressive medical and obstetric management is crucial for a good outcome. Even after a complete recovery, successive pregnancies entail a30% chance of relapse. Women who have had PPCM in a previous pregnancy should be extensively assessed, and those who have persistent left ventricular dysfunction should avoid additional pregnancies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: When there are structural relationships between outcomes reported in different trials, separate analyses of each outcome do not provide a single coherent analysis, which is required for decision-making. For example, trials of intrapartum anti-bacterial prophylaxis (IAP) to prevent early onset group B streptococcal (EOGBS) disease can report three treatment effects: the effect on bacterial colonisation of the newborn, the effect on EOGBS, and the effect on EOGBS conditional on newborn colonisation. These outcomes are conditionally related, or nested, in a multi-state model. This paper shows how to exploit these structural relationships, providing a single coherent synthesis of all the available data, while checking to ensure that different sources of evidence are consistent. Results: Overall, the use of IAP reduces the risk of EOGBS (RR: 0.03; 95% Credible Interval (CrI): 0.002-0.13). Most of the treatment effect is due to the prevention of colonisation in newborns of colonised mothers (RR: 0.08, 95% CrI: 0.04-0.14). Node-splitting demonstrated that the treatment effect calculated using only direct evidence was consistent with that predicted from the remaining evidence (p = 0.15). The findings accorded with previously published separate meta-analyses of the different outcomes, once these are re-analysed correctly accounting for zero cells. Conclusion: Multiple outcomes should be synthesised together where possible, taking account of their structural relationships. This generates an internally coherent analysis, suitable for decision making, in which estimates of each of the treatment effects are based on all available evidence (direct and indirect). Separate meta-analyses of each outcome have none of these properties.

Introduction: Overweight and obesity affects over 70% of the UK population and is a major risk factor for the development of co-morbidities, including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. There now exists a considerable evidence base for the management of obesity. However, this is not the case for the prevention of obesity. Preventing weight gain in periods of life where there is an elevated risk of fat mass expansion could be beneficial to preventing associated diseases in later life. This protocol investigates the impact of novel food ingredient inulin propionate ester (IPE) in the prevention of weight gain. This trial aims to investigate the primary hypothesis that IPE has a superior effect on preventing body weight gain, compared with inulin, in young ( Methods: In this multi-centre, double-blind, randomised, parallel-group study, eligible participants will be randomly assigned to consume 10g IPE or 10g inulin (control) daily for 12 months. Study visits will be conducted at baseline, two-month, six-month and 12-month time points. The primary outcome is weight gain from baseline to 12 months. Secondary outcomes will examine changes in metabolic and cardiovascular health biomarkers, body composition and appetite. A mechanistic sub-group will explore causal mechanisms around energy balance, body composition, appetite regulation and the gut microbiota. Based on the power calculation, the sample size required is 270 participants or 135 per study group. Ethics and dissemination: The trial protocol and participant-facing documents have been reviewed and approved, by the London Hampstead Ethics Committee (REC Reference 19/LO/0095, 29 th January 2019). Let B(β) be the class of Bazilevic functions of type β(β>0). A function f ϵ B(β) if it is analytic in the unit disc E and Rezf′(z)f1−β(z)gβ(z)>0, where g is a starlike function. We generalize the class B(β) by taking g to be a function of radius rotation at most kπ(k≥2). Archlength, difference of coefficient, Hankel determinant and some other problems are solved for this generalized class. For k=2, we obtain some of these results for the class B(β) of Bazilevic functions of type β.
