The high-strength AA7075 alloy offers great potential for lightweight construction thanks to its high specific strength. However, high strength and low ductility are challenging for forming the material in the peak-aged T6-condition in terms of material failure and springback. Therefore, this alloy is usually formed in temperature-supported process routes, which poses major challenges for process design. For cold forming of the alloy in the T6-condition, a reliable prediction of material failure is required in terms of process design. Within this study, this is achieved by applying the modified Mohr-Coulomb (MMC) criterion and an increment based damage evolution rule to the FE-model. To validate the failure prediction and verify the general applicability to different profile geometries, two U-profiles and a V-profile are roll formed. Failure occurs during forming for all profile geometries and the experimental results show a good agreement with the failure prediction. The quality of the damage prediction strongly depends on the calibration for the MMC criterion and the setup of the FE-model, depending on the mesh size and the element type used.

Pool scrubbing is a major topic in water cooled nuclear reactor technology as it is one of the means for mitigating the source-term to the environment during a severe accident. Pool scrubbing phenomena include coupled interactions between bubble hydrodynamics, aerosols and gaseous radionuclides retention mechanisms under a broad range of thermal–hydraulic conditions as per accident scenarios. Modeling pool scrubbing in some relevant accident scenarios has shown to be affected by substantial uncertainties. In this context, IPRESCA (Integration of Pool scrubbing Research to Enhance Source-term CAlculations) project aims to promote a better integration of international research activities related to pool scrubbing by providing support in experimental research to broaden the current knowledge and database, and by supporting analytical research to facilitate systematic validation and model enhancement of the existing pool scrubbing codes based on different modelling approaches, e.g. lumped parameter, computational fluid dynamics, mechanistic. The project consortium includes>30 organisations from 15 countries involving research institutes, universities, TSOs, and industry. For IPRESCA activities, partners join the project with in-kind contributions. IPRESCA operates under NUGENIA Technical Area 2/SARNET (Severe Accident) – Sub Technical Area 2.4 (Source-term). The present paper provides an introduction and overview of the IPRESCA project, including main outcomes and key ongoing and planned activities. New insights obtained from code benchmarks and consolidation of experimental database are discussed. Application of these experimental (“new data”) and analytical results shall support in improvement and further development of pool scrubbing models towards reduction in uncertainties for source term calculations.

Supplementary Figures 1-5, Table 1, Methods from ADP-Ribosylation Factor 6 Regulates Tumorigenic and Invasive Properties In vivo

This study shows that the small GTP-binding protein ADP-ribosylation factor 6 (ARF6) is an important regulator of tumor growth and metastasis. Using spontaneous melanoma tumor growth assays and experimental metastasis assays in nude mice, we show that sustained activation of ARF6 reduces tumor mass growth but significantly enhances the invasive capacity of tumor cells. In contrast, mice injected with tumor cells expressing a dominantly inhibitory ARF6 mutant exhibited a lower incidence and degree of invasion and lung metastasis compared with control animals. Effects on tumor growth correlate with reduced cell proliferation capacity and are linked at least in part to alterations in mitotic progression induced by defective ARF6 cycling. Furthermore, phospho-ERK levels in subcultured cells from ARF6(GTP) and ARF6(GDP) tumor explants correlate with invasive capacity. ARF6-induced extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling leads to Rac1 activation to promote invadopodia formation and cell invasion. These findings document an intricate role for ARF6 and the regulation of ERK activation in orchestrating mechanisms underlying melanoma growth, invasion, and metastases. Este trabalho teve como objetivo verificar como se desenvolveu a Política Pública de Saúde Mental em âmbito Federal e Estadual, verificando a partir de uma revisão da literatura de cunho qualitativo/ descritivo, a função da Gestão em Saúde nesse processo. Para tanto, primeiramente foi realizado um levantamento das principais Leis, Portarias e Normativas que regem o trabalho da Política Pública de Saúde Mental, e em seguida realizada uma busca sobre as definições e discussões, sobre a função da Gestão em Saúde dentro da Política Pública de Saúde Mental. Percebeu-se que a Lei Federal 10.216/2001 foi um divisor da realidade, pois embasa o cuidado em saúde mental e a Luta Antimanicomial, e após esse marco muitas outras normativas surgiram. Mas nem sempre a realidade vai de acordo com a teoria, existindo diversas limitações e dificuldades, tais como: como a falta de gestores preparados e comprometidos, falta de investimentos, comunicação precária entre governo Estadual e Federal, dificuldade no acesso de ferramentas e meios de construir uma Política de Saúde Mental de base comunitária, seja por falta de recursos ou comprometimento. Percebe-se que no papel a saúde mental é tida como prioridade, mas na prática as coisas não ocorrem exatamente assim, sendo oferecido um serviço precário e por vezes ineficaz.

Introdução: O acidente vascular encefálico é um déficit neurológico súbito que ocorre por um problema nos vasos sanguíneos do sistema nervoso central. Pode gerar diversas sequelas, variando conforme a localização e extensão da lesão. O indivíduo pode se tornar dependente para suas atividades de vida diária e desenvolver distúrbios de sono, que podem levar a piora do prognóstico do paciente. Objetivo: O objetivo desse estudo foi caracterizar o nível de independência funcional e qualidade do sono em indivíduos após o AVE e identificar seus níveis de correlação. Métodos: O estudo foi desenvolvido com uma amostra de 22 pacientes em atendimento na Clínica Escola de Fisioterapia da Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste. Foram utilizados um questionário sócio clínico desenvolvido exclusivamente para o estudo, além do Mini Exame do Estado Mental (MEEM) para avaliação da função cognitiva, o Índice de qualidade de sono de Pittsburgh (PSQI) e a Escala de Sonolência de Epworth (ESE) para avaliação da qualidade do sono e a Medida de independência funcional (MIF) para avaliação da independência funcional dos indivíduos. Resultados: A amostra apresentou uma maioria de indivíduos com independência funcional total segundo dados da escala aplicada e uma maioria de 63,6% dos indivíduos apresentaram qualidade do sono ruim, além de correlações estatisticamente significativas entre as características de sono e controle do esfíncter urinário, mobilidade e transferências e a capacidade motora dos indivíduos. Conclusão: A variável sono está associada a diversas condições que afetam os níveis de independência funcional do indivíduo após AVE e deve ser considerada no momento da avaliação do indivíduo ao iniciar tratamento.

Na busca por superar as fragilidades do processo de municipalização que isolou os municípios, sobretudo de menor porte populacional, foi implantado em 2011 o decreto nº 7.508 que define a organização do SUS em Regiões de Saúde. Foi desenvolvido um estudo descritivo quantitativo, de corte transversal, sobre o desenvolvimento das ações de gestão e planejamento dos 184 municípios do estado de Pernambuco, no ano de 2015. Utilizaram-se dados secundários do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), e dos sistemas oficiais do Ministério da Saúde: Sistema de Informações sobre Orçamentos Públicos em Saúde (SIOPS) e Sistema de Apoio à Construção do Relatório de Gestão (SARGSUS). Todos os municípios cumprem a EC29/2000, aplicando os 15% de recursos no tesouro de saúde, os de maior porte aplicaram os menores percentuais e receberam as maiores proporções de transferência da união. Quanto menor o porte do município, menor a capacidade de arrecadação e os maiores dispêndios com saúde por habitante.

Introduction Thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) of proximal aortic arch pathology provides a less-invasive treatment option for high-risk patients ineligible for open arch reconstruction. However, the fiscal impact of these techniques remains unclear. Therefore, our objective was to characterize the mid-term outcomes after Zone 0 and Zone 1 TEVAR and describe the associated technical costs, revenues, and net margins at a single tertiary medical center. Methods We examined all patients who underwent TEVAR between April 2011 and August 2019 via retrospective chart review. Patients were categorized by proximal endograft extent to identify Zone 0 or Zone 1 repairs. Procedural characteristics and outcomes were described. Technical costs, revenues, and margins were obtained from the hospital finance department. Results We identified 10 patients (6 Zone 0, 4 Zone 1) who were denied open arch reconstruction. Patients were predominantly female (n=8; 80%) and the mean age was 72.8±5.5 years. TEVAR was performed in 5 asymptomatic patients, urgently in 3 symptomatic patients, and emergently in 2 ruptured patients. TEVAR plus extra-anatomic bypass was performed in 4 patients. Another 4 patients also received parallel stent-grafting while one patient received a branched thoracic endograft and yet another an in-situ laser fenestration followed by branch stent grafting. Within the 30-day postoperative period, 1 patient experienced stroke and 1 patient died. Bypass and branch vessel patency were 100% through the duration of follow-up (mean 19.3 months). Mean total technical cost associated with all procedures or repair stages was $105,164±$59,338 while mean net technical margin was -$25,055±$18,746. The net technical margin was negative for 9 patients. Conclusions Endovascular repair of the proximal aortic arch is associated with good mid-term outcomes in patients considered too high-risk for open repair. However, reimbursement does not adequately cover treatment cost, with net technical margins being negative in nearly all cases. To remain financially sustainable, efforts should be made to both optimize aortic arch TEVAR delivery as well as advocate for reimbursement commensurate with associated costs.

Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC) é apontado como sendo a doença de origem vascular mais incapacitante. Tendo dois tipos: hemorrágico e Isquêmico. É uma das doenças que mais acarreta distúrbios motores e cognitivos, os quais podem comprometer a capacidade funcional. O objetivo do estudo foi de verificar dor junto a um possível processo inflamatório na coluna vertebral em pacientes pós AVC. O estudo foi realizado na Clínica Escola de Fisioterapia da Universidade Estadual do Centro Oeste, através do exame de termografia (TermoScamTD200), o qual gera através de uma escala de cor e classifica o processo inflamatório por oscilação de temperatura nas seções em: agudo, subagudo e crônico. A amostra foi composta por 12 indivíduos, 5 homens e 7 mulheres. Verificou-se um alto nível de acometimento, indicando um possível processo inflamatório na coluna vertebral, principalmente o quadro inflamatório crônico, sendo significativamente maior na região Cervical e Lombar. O AVC pode afetar segmentos importantes, como a coluna vertebral, tornando-se pertinente examinar, acompanhar e reavaliar com periodicidade essa região.
