In this paper we study conformal solitons for the mean curvature flow in hyperbolic space $\mathbb{H}^{n+1}$. Working in the upper half-space model, we focus on horo-expanders, which relate to the conformal field $-\partial_0$. We classify cylindrical and rotationally symmetric examples, finding appropriate analogues of grim-reaper cylinders, bowl and winglike solitons. Moreover, we address the Plateau and the Dirichlet problems at infinity. For the latter, we provide the sharp boundary convexity condition to guarantee its solvability, and address the case of noncompact boundaries contained between two parallel hyperplanes of $\partial_{\infty}\mathbb{H}^{n+1}$. We conclude by proving rigidity results for bowl and grim-reaper cylinders.

With Artificial Intelligence (AI) increasingly permeating various aspects of society, including healthcare, the adoption of the Transformers neural network architecture is rapidly changing many applications. Transformer is a type of deep learning architecture initially developed to solve general-purpose Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks and has subsequently been adapted in many fields, including healthcare. In this survey paper, we provide an overview of how this architecture has been adopted to analyze various forms of data, including medical imaging, structured and unstructured Electronic Health Records (EHR), social media, physiological signals, and biomolecular sequences. Those models could help in clinical diagnosis, report generation, data reconstruction, and drug/protein synthesis. We identified relevant studies using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. We also discuss the benefits and limitations of using transformers in healthcare and examine issues such as computational cost, model interpretability, fairness, alignment with human values, ethical implications, and environmental impact.

Drawing on results of Derdzi\'nski's from the 80's, we classify conformally K\"ahler, $U(2)$-invariant, Einstein metrics on the total space of $\mathcal{O}(-m)$, for all $m \in \mathbb{N}$. This yields infinitely many $1$-parameter families of metrics exhibiting several different behaviours including asymptotically hyperbolic metrics (more specifically of Poincar\'e type), ALF metrics, and metrics which compactify to a Hirzebruch surface $\mathbb{H}_m$ with a cone singularity along the "divisor at infinity". This allows us to investigate transitions between behaviours yielding interesting results. For instance, we show that a Ricci--flat ALF metric known as the Taub-bolt metric can be obtained as the limit of a family of cone angle Einstein metrics on $\mathbb{CP}^2 \# \overline{\mathbb{CP}}^2$ when the cone angle converges to zero. We also construct Einstein metrics which are asymptotically hyperbolic and conformal to a scalar-flat K\"ahler metric. Information extraction (IE), one of the main tasks of natural language processing (NLP), has recently increased importance in the use of resumes. In studies on the text to extract information from the CV, sentence classification was generally made using NLP models. In this study, it is aimed to extract information by classifying all of the text groups after pre-processing such as Optical Character Recognition (OCT) and object recognition with the YOLOv8 model of the resumes. The text dataset consists of 286 resumes collected for 5 different (education, experience, talent, personal and language) job descriptions in the IT industry. The dataset created for object recognition consists of 1198 resumes, which were collected from the open-source internet and labeled as sets of text. BERT, BERT-t, DistilBERT, RoBERTa and XLNet were used as models. F1 score variances were used to compare the model results. In addition, the YOLOv8 model has also been reported comparatively in itself. Text summarization is a fundamental task in natural language processing that aims to condense large amounts of textual information into concise and coherent summaries. With the exponential growth of content and the need to extract key information efficiently, text summarization has gained significant attention in recent years. In this study, LSTM and pre-trained T5, Pegasus, BART and BART-Large model performances were evaluated on the open source dataset (Xsum, CNN/Daily Mail, Amazon Fine Food Review and News Summary) and the prepared resume dataset. This resume dataset consists of many information such as language, education, experience, personal information, skills, and this data includes 75 resumes. The primary objective of this research was to classify resume text. Various techniques such as LSTM, pre-trained models, and fine-tuned models were assessed using a dataset of resumes. The BART-Large model fine-tuned with the resume dataset gave the best performance.

Emotion recognition has become an important research topic in the field of human-computer interaction. Studies on sound and videos to understand emotions focused mainly on analyzing facial expressions and classified 6 basic emotions. In this study, the performance of different sequence models in multi-modal emotion recognition was compared. The sound and images were first processed by multi-layered CNN models, and the outputs of these models were fed into various sequence models. The sequence model is GRU, Transformer, LSTM and Max Pooling. Accuracy, precision, and F1 Score values of all models were calculated. The multi-modal CREMA-D dataset was used in the experiments. As a result of the comparison of the CREMA-D dataset, GRU-based architecture with 0.640 showed the best result in F1 score, LSTM-based architecture with 0.699 in precision metric, while sensitivity showed the best results over time with Max Pooling-based architecture with 0.620. The steered response power (SRP) is a popular approach to compute a map of the acoustic scene, typically used for acoustic source localization. The SRP map is obtained as the frequency-weighted output power of a beamformer steered towards a grid of candidate locations. Due to the exhaustive search over a fine grid at all frequency bins, conventional frequency domain-based SRP (conv. FD-SRP) results in a high computational complexity. Time domain-based SRP (conv. TD-SRP) implementations reduce computational complexity at the cost of accuracy using the inverse fast Fourier transform (iFFT). In this paper, to enable a more favourable complexity-performance trade-off as compared to conv. FD-SRP and conv. TD-SRP, we consider the problem of constructing a fine SRP map over the entire search space at scalable computational cost. We propose two approaches to this problem. Expressing the conv. FD-SRP map as a matrix transform of frequency-domain GCCs, we decompose the SRP matrix into a sampling matrix and an interpolation matrix. While sampling can be implemented by the iFFT, we propose to use optimal low-rank or sparse approximations of the interpolation matrix for complexity reduction. The proposed approaches, refered to as sampling + low-rank interpolation-based SRP (SLRI-SRP) and sampling + sparse interpolation-based SRP (SSPI-SRP), are evaluated in various localization scenarios with speech as source signals and compared to the state-of-the-art. The results indicate that SSPI-SRP performs better if large array apertures are used, while SLRI-SRP performs better at small array apertures or a large number of microphones. In comparison to conv. FD-SRP, two to three orders of magnitude of complexity reduction can achieved, often times enabling a more favourable complexity-performance trade-off as compared to conv. TD-SRP. This paper explores the use of semantic knowledge inherent in the cyber-physical system (CPS) under study in order to minimize the use of explicit communication, which refers to the use of physical radio resources to transmit potentially informative data. It is assumed that the acquired data have a function in the system, usually related to its state estimation, which may trigger control actions. We propose that a semantic-functional approach can leverage the semantic-enabled implicit communication while guaranteeing that the system maintains functionality under the required performance. We illustrate the potential of this proposal through simulations of a swarm of drones jointly performing remote sensing in a given area. Our numerical results demonstrate that the proposed method offers the best design option regarding the ability to accomplish a previously established task -- remote sensing in the addressed case -- while minimising the use of radio resources by controlling the trade-offs that jointly determine the CPS performance and its effectiveness in the use of resources. In this sense, we establish a fundamental relationship between energy, communication, and functionality considering a given end application.

Reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) bring various benefits to the current and upcoming wireless networks, including enhanced spectrum and energy efficiency, soft handover, transmission reliability, and even localization accuracy. These remarkable improvements result from the reconfigurability, programmability, and adaptation capabilities of RISs for fine-tuning radio propagation environments, which can be realized in a cost- and energy-efficient manner. In this paper, we focus on the upgrade of the existing fifth-generation (5G) cellular network with the introduction of an RIS owning a full-dimensional uniform planar array structure for unleashing advanced three-dimensional connectivity. The deployed RIS is exploited for serving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) flying in the sky with ultra-high data rate, a challenging task to be achieved with conventional base stations (BSs) that are designed mainly to serve ground users. By taking into account the line-of-sight probability for the RIS-UAV and BS-UAV links, we formulate the average achievable rate, analyze the effect of environmental parameters, and make insightful performance comparisons. The research was conducted to identify the factors that influence college students' satisfaction with their college experience. Firstly, the study was focused on the literature review to determine relevant factors that have been previously studied in the literature. Then, the survey analysis examined three main independent factors that have been found to be related to college students' satisfaction: Major Satisfaction, Social Self-Efficacy, and Academic Performance. The findings of the study suggested that the most important factor affecting students' satisfaction with their college experience is their satisfaction with their chosen major. This means that students who are satisfied with the major they have chosen are more likely to be overall satisfied with their college experience. It's worth noting that, while the study found that major satisfaction is the most crucial factor, it doesn't mean that other factors such as Social Self-Efficacy, Academic Performance, and Campus Life Satisfaction are not important. Based on these findings, it is recommend that students prioritize their major satisfaction when making college choices in order to maximize their overall satisfaction with their college experience., Comment: 13 table, 18 figures, 34 pages

This work proposes an interactive art installation "Mood spRing" designed to reflect the mood of the environment through interpretation of language and tone. Mood spRing consists of an AI program that controls an immersive 3D animation of the seasons. If the AI program perceives the language and tone of the users as pleasant, the animation progresses through idealized renditions of seasons. Otherwise, it slips into unpleasant weather and natural disasters of the season. To interpret the language and tone of the user interaction, hybrid state-of-the-art emotion detection methods are applied to the user audio and text inputs. MASTER OT J004527.52+503213.8 (hereafter MASTER J004527) is a dwarf nova discovered by the MASTER project in 2013. At 18:20 UTC on 24 October 2020, brightening of this object was reported to vsnet-alert (24843 by Denisenko). This was the second report of a superoutburst after its discovery. Photometric observations were made using the 23.5-cm Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope at Okayama University of Science observatory soon after the alert through 4 November 2020. In this work, we present the photometric data from our observation, and the analysis of the light curves of MASTER J004527 during the 2020 outburst. We propose a method to determine the period of superhumps by polynomial fitting, which can be applied to a light curve with many missing data. In addition to our own data, we incorporate other all sky survey data of the outburst to better understand the properties of the superhumps. Based on our observations, we conclude that MASTER J004527 is an SU UMa-type dwarf nova, since no early superhumps occurred., Comment: Accepted for publication in JAAVSO, 9 pages, 8 figures

Existing Intensive Care Unit (ICU) delirium prediction models do not consider environmental factors despite strong evidence of their influence on delirium. This study reports the first deep-learning based delirium prediction model for ICU patients using only ambient noise and light information. Ambient light and noise intensities were measured from ICU rooms of 102 patients from May 2021 to September 2022 using Thunderboard, ActiGraph sensors and an iPod with AudioTools application. These measurements were divided into daytime (0700 to 1859) and nighttime (1900 to 0659). Deep learning models were trained using this data to predict the incidence of delirium during ICU stay or within 4 days of discharge. Finally, outcome scores were analyzed to evaluate the importance and directionality of every feature. Daytime noise levels were significantly higher than nighttime noise levels. When using only noise features or a combination of noise and light features 1-D convolutional neural networks (CNN) achieved the strongest performance: AUC=0.77, 0.74; Sensitivity=0.60, 0.56; Specificity=0.74, 0.74; Precision=0.46, 0.40 respectively. Using only light features, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks performed best: AUC=0.80, Sensitivity=0.60, Specificity=0.77, Precision=0.37. Maximum nighttime and minimum daytime noise levels were the strongest positive and negative predictors of delirium respectively. Nighttime light level was a stronger predictor of delirium than daytime light level. Total influence of light features outweighed that of noise features on the second and fourth day of ICU stay. This study shows that ambient light and noise intensities are strong predictors of long-term delirium incidence in the ICU.
