This article discusses the war in Iraq and how elected officials are using the war for campaign slogans in an election year. Republican officials believe that ending a military engagement by withdrawing the U.S. soldiers would welcome chaotic conditions in Iraq. Democratic officials argue that chaos is already present in Iraq with the amount of attacks, deaths, and road-side bombings. The article also discusses the administrative actions by the United States government under President George W. Bush and why chaos will ensue no matter what path we choose.
