The article focuses on an article by Andrew Rosenbaum on the French securities market "Life on the Slow Lane," published in the April 1994 issue of the journal "Euromoney." According to the author the article contains a number of statements which, if made in connection with a securities transaction, would have violated either the U.S. rule Iob-5 or the French equivalent (rule 90-02) as they omit material facts. Privatizations have been a great success for both French and foreign shareholders. These privatizations and, the healthy market have strengthened foreigners interest in the company, Paris Bourse. The author has pointed out some more incomplete facts to which Rosenbaum has also replied that his own feelings have got nothing to do with the matter; and his article was based on interviews with 30 professionals.
