Dermatofibrosarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) is a relatively rare soft tissue neoplasm of intermediate malignancy. Metastasis of this tumour seldom occurs. The DFSP is a locally aggressive tumour with a high recurrence rate. The DFSP accounts for less than 0.1% of all malignant neoplasms and approximately 1% of all soft tissue sarcomas. Bednar tumour is an uncommon variant of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Also known as pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, this tumour is a rare, aggressive, cutaneous tumour that constitutes 1-5% of all DFSPs of intermediate grade. These tumours can be easily mistaken for fibrosarcoma and melanoma. It is seen in adults with a predisposition to affect the shoulder region, and trunk. Authors hereby report a case of 50- years-old female presented with complaints of recurrent swelling in the lower back for a duration of 4 months. Pain aggravated on lying in the supine position, swelling was painless otherwise. Patient also had complaints of itching over the swelling with occasional blood stained discharge on self-inflicted trauma. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan and histopathological examination of excised tumour confirmed the diagnosis of bednar tumour. She underwent wide local excision with split skin grafting and was on follow-up for the last two years with no evidence of recurrence. Hence, adequate clearance and thorough and regular follow-up is essential to prevent recurrence.

In pregnancy there is change in the physiological levels of hormones. It also brings about changes in other systems like circulatory, respiratory and also leads anatomical modifications in pelvis. These changes are essential for the mother to accommodate the foetus. It is essential to know the changes in pulmonary functions that occur normally in pregnancy and to differentiate it from abnormal values. Progesterone a hormone of pregnancy is known to cause certain degree of bronchodilatation. Hence forth this study was conducted to assess FVC and PEFR and to correlate with Progesterone levels in pregnancy. Materials and Methods: An observational and analytical study was conducted in 90 pregnant women (Primigravidae). The controls were non-pregnant women. All were in the age group between 18 and 25 years. Their pulmonary function parameters FVC and PEFR was analyzed using computerised RMS 401- Heliometer. Progesterone assay was done using CLIA. SPSS 21 version software was used for statistics. Significance was given to p value less than 0.05. Results: FVC and PEFR decreased significantly in pregnancy irrespective of trimester in comparison to controls. FVC did not show significant variation in all trimesters of pregnancy. In the third trimester of pregnancy PEFR showed significant decrease. Between the groups there was significant increase (p progesterone in first trimester of pregnancy. There was positive and significant correlation of FVC and Progesterone in third trimester of pregnancy. This study brings the knowledge about modifications in respiratory functional parameters and helps to identify the norms on predicted values in pregnancy. Intussusception refers to telescoping of a segment of bowel into adjacent bowel. Only 5% occurs in adults. Causes include neoplasm and inflammatory causes. Caecal endometriosis causing colo colic intussusception is extremely rare condition. A 45-year-old menstruating female presented with complaints of diffuse abdominal pain with vomiting for 10 days. No history of menstrual abnormalities. P/A-mass of 8×5 cm was palpable in right lumbar and umbilical region with mild tenderness. Cect abdomen-colo colic intussusception involving ascending colon and right 2/3rd of transverse colon with no obvious lead point. Patient was taken up for emergency laparotomy and it revealed 1) Intussusception of caecum into ascending colon extending upto hepatic flexure, 2) Multiple black colored nodules over lateral pelvic wall, small bowel, omentum, mesentery, ascending sigmoid colon, 3) Anterior surface of rectum was found to be adherent to posterior surface of uterus and pouch of Douglas inaccessible, 4) Multiple nodes were identified within mesentery. Laparotomy proceeded and gentle manual reduction of intussusceptum was done and growth palpable within caecum, suspecting the growth to be malignant right hemicolectomy with ileocolic end to side anastomosis done. Post operative period uneventful, HPE-endometriosis caecum. Intussusception in adult is rare entity and endometrial mass in caecum acting as lead point has been infrequently reported. Clinical and radiological investigations are of little help in diagnosing endometriosis. Hence, high clinical suspicion is required in patients with previous history of endometriosis.

For these improper disposals, the solution for these electronic products is in the usage of the concrete.This research paper is to examine the strength of bitumen by using E-Waste plastic as filler. In this experiment, Polyethylene plastic is used which is thermoplastic polymer and it is the most widely produced plastic in the world. Marshall Stability test is taken to analyze the strength of bitumen. The stability and flow value of bitumen is tested for various bitumen percentage with constant 5% E-Waste plastic filler. From the test values the stability and flow value of bitumen is optimum in 5% in addition to the strength of bitumen is increased to 10% than the conventional bitumen.

In chemical industrial treatment, excess alkalinity or acidity must normally be neutralised. One of the most significant components of neutralising water is determining the composition of the substances that cause acidity and alkalinity. Because a small change in the input value causes a huge change in the output value, pH control is critical. The controllers are tuned using the Genetic Algorithm. I-PD controllers based on Genetic Algorithms technique and Particle Swarm Optimization technique are constructed and compared. The performance of I-PD controllers is assessed in zones such as Acid, Neutral, and Base, with set points of 3, 7, and 10 respectively. Based on the simulation findings, it is found that for the pH neutralisation process, a PSO-based I-PD controller delivers lower error values than a GA-based I-PD controller.

Maize is a high nutrient demanding and zinc responsive crop. A Field study was conducted at farmer’s field, Pavali village of Viruthunagar district during 2019-2020 to evaluate the effect of chelated zinc fertilizer on growth parameters of maize (Zea mays L.). The experiment was laid out as randomized block design with five replication. The results showed that plant height (192.5 cm), leaf length (80.4 cm), leaf breadth (9.82 cm), no. of leaves (13.2) and leaf area index (5.28) responded positively towards soil and foliar application of chelated Zn Formulation @ 7.5 kg ha-1 with 0.5% as foliar spray at 30 & 45 DAS (T8) than absolute control.

We humans find solutions for every problem around us. Taking an environmental problem for water scarcity we have come up with a traditional idea but a bit modified. We have used solar distillation as the basic concept and developed a single slope single basin solar still (SSSBSS) where we have used a storage material that is rarely used for this process and have carried out the research work in it. The experimental study is carried for a single slope single basin solar still (SSSBSS) under two cases (i) SSSBSS (ii) SSSBSS with zeolite crystals as storage materials. The still was made of galvanized iron (GI) and the sides were insulated with polystyrene. It has a basin area of 1 m2. Bore water of Coimbatore which is a bit salty was taken as the feed water. The test was carried out at Kuniyamuthur, Coimbatore during 10th, 11th, 12th of February 2021. Even though it was winter, the output was average. By the comparison using zeolite crystals, the efficiency was doubled compared to the first case.
