Abstract: This thesis identifies and describes the approach and objectives set in the area of drug prevention in primary school. It characterizes preventive programs and methods used by individual teachers and indicates another possible strategies in this area. It describes the diversity of approaches to the prevention of substance used in two different regions is described and the main reasons for these differences are discussed. The differences are described and explained in the practical part of the thesis. Finally, the possible ways how to enrich and improve the quality of primary prevention programs in primary schools are listed. Title Selected nutrition aspects of female students at chosen universities in the Czech Republic Abstract The objective of this Bachelor thesis is to focus on specific aspects of selected female university students in the Czech Republic. Initial chapter describes basic life-style facts of this group. Following chapters list and compare youth and adult nutrition habits. General nutrition issues are also presented in this project including family and school nutrition addition to public nutrition analyses. There is also chapter specifying sample of university student, nutrition habits and relevant research. The practical part presents own university student research. The output of this research did not prove any significant fluctuation in female student nutrition at selected universities. TITLE: Attitudes of secondary school students to alternative ways of diets at Tabor AUTHOR: Bc. ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the attitude of students to alternative nutritional guidelines. The focus of this thesis is to analyse the interest of students in alternative nutritional guidelines. Subsequently the thesis focuses on the impact and importance of nutrition on health of individuals during their development in adolescence and focuses on attitudes to food itself, the relationship to adolescent physical dimensions (body image) and also to issues related to these themes, ie. eating disorders. TITLE: The risk of the syndrome of burn-out at some chosen special educators working with pupils who are mentally or mentally and physically handicapped AUTHOR: Anna Dvořáková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with problems of the syndrome of burn-out at special educators working with children who are mentally handicapped or who have the combined handicap. Education of children with this sort of handicap can easily lead to syndrome of burn-out. Theoretical part characterizes problems of the syndrome of burn-out and education of the pupils who are mentally handicapped or who have the combined handicap. It provides needed foundation for the actual research. Practical part finds out using qualitative methods of research the urgency of external factors of danger of the birth of the syndrome of burn-out and efforts to prevent these factors in some chosen schools. TITLE: Personal safety in emergency situations in school education programme in the specific elementary school. ABSTRACT: Each elementary school in the Czech Republic must be in accordance with applicable laws incorporated the issue of protection of human emergencies in their school education system. Primary schools are based on the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education and Ministry guidline no.: 12050/03-22 from 4th March 2013. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the state of incorporation the issue of protection of human emergencies in school education system in ZŠ Jižní IV., what is the level of knowledge in this area for children of the 5th and 9th grade in this school. Based on the results there will be proposed solution how the issue of human emergencies might be provided and incorporated in the school education system and in all subjects. Furthermore recomended the program and the project "Defence day" for students of all ages. A small survey among head masters of elementary schools in Prague 4 is observed, as perceived by the issue of protection of human emergencies in teaching in their schools. This bachelor thesis deals with crisis situations of mothers with children, who were compelled to seek aid either within their own family or in shelter house. The theoretical part works at concept of family. We can distinguish two types of families - well functioning family and clinical family. The second chapter deals with concept of unmarried mother's family which also falls into the clinical families. There are lots of forms of aid which can mothers utilize. One of these forms is shelter house which was paid close attention to. The empirical component of this work comprises three groups of utterances or respondents respectively. The first group contains women who already have lived in sanctuary house, and nowadays they live independently. The second group of women lives nowadays in shelter house and they are getting ready for an independent life. The last group includes mothers without any relations to some institutions. It was used some standardized interview with open-ended questions and observations also. In conclusion there are some pieces of advice and suggestions which can help mothers to protect from this crisis situations.

The thesis named Safety and protection of students of cook specialisation at their vocational training workplace focuses namely on the characterization of the issue of students' health protection, definition of basic terms and a brief overview of regulations and conditions governing the performance of vocational training. My aim was not to make a list of all legal regulations but rather to provide brief guidelines for vocational teachers. In the practical part I tried to compare accident rate of students in two different types of vocational training, namely training under the command of a vocational teacher and training at an individual workplace under the leadership of a vocational training instructor. Based on the discovered facts and findings I then gave suggestions for the improvement of the current state in the field of Occupational Safety and Health at our school and recommendations for pedagogical practice.

The theoretical part presents detailed information about hepatitis C. This part consists of definitions and findings associated with hepatitis C, especially in the area of transmission, causes, clinical features, treatment, and prevention. Main goal of the practical part of this work is to determine how much know the students of the selected grammar students in the Karlovy Vary Region about hepatitis C, from which sources did adolescents learn about the disease, what they know about the prevention, what they learn about the disease in the school and in which extent they learn about it. The work includes both qualitative and quantitative research. Key informations were obtained by: a questionnaire method for students Sokolov grammar school and conversation with the doctor of Carlsbad Regional Hospital. By quantitative research has been demonstrated low awareness of selected high school students about hepatitis C. Respondents were also often wrong in the answers to basic questions of the survey. The doctor of infectious department said detailed and interesting informations about hepatitis C in an interview.

The subject of this thesis is to map the external environment of help available to children and youth provided by low threshold facilities such as the "club 21" in Beroun. Through research with practitioners in selected institutions, the thesis investigates the need and possibilities of improving its services in the context of the major areas of social environment - social, technical, economic and political - legal. In order to achieve this objective the theoretical part identifies the milestones in the history of the development of social services in general, and in relation their function and contribution to society. The following section deals with low-threshold facilities in its objectives, mission and services, content and methods of work including the characteristics of the "Club 21". The practical part describes research work carried out by qualitative research in its various phases, it summarizes and interprets the findings and it converts them to the level of observable characters. In addition to mapping and orientation of the real possibilities of low-threshold facilities development for children and youth "Club 21" the aim of this thesis is also to provide an opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice.

TITLE: Adult education in providing lay first aid in the historical context and in the present AUTHOR: Klára Špačková DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Eva Marádová, CSc. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with adult education in providing first aid. The theoretical part of the thesis is about development of amateur education in providing first aid, studies conditions, possibilities and attitude of adults towards self-education in providing lay first aid. The practical part of the thesis surveys a group of randomly chosen adults using questionnaire survey methodology to examine their motivation for self-education in providing first aid, factors influencing education of people in this field and to find both effective and underrated forms of adult education in first aid. The goal of the thesis is to map today's possibilities of self-education in first aid, to inquire people's and society's motivation for self-education in first aid and to analyze conditions for general education in this field. TITLE: Transformation of the substitutional family custody in the Czech Republic AUTHOR: Tamara Müllerová DEPARTMENT: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This thesis focuses on a current changes in legislation in the department of constitutional care. The beginning of the thesis describes a concept of family, its significance, commission and position in contemporary society along with motives leading to its disfunction and defects directly related to childs needs. Following chapter outlines present forms of a constitutional and a protective custody in the Czech Republic, also includes a comparation of substitutional family custody and substitutional pedagogic care with detailed narration of both. The next part of the thesis presents the main insufficiencies of said system of constitutional care, and reasons which led the Government of the Czech Republic to transform their approach based primarily on the critique from abroad. This thesis deals with awareness of overweight and non-overweight people about of the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The goal is to determine the level of knowledge of both groups in the section of cardiovascular diseases and their interest in this issue. Next goal is to determine the degree of difference in awareness in this issue between the sexes. The theoretical part provides information about obesity (causes, symptoms, complications, treatment). It also deals with frequent cardiovascular diseases - hypertension, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, ischemic heart disease, cerebrovascular accident, and dyslipidemia. One of chapters is devoted to projects that address prevention of obesity and cardiovascular diseases. The practical part of work describes examined group that participated in the survey. Analysis of the results shows that people who are not overweight or obese are more informed about the risks of cardiovascular disease than overweight and obese people, because they are less interested in this issue. Women are better informed in the section of cardiovascular diseases than men. 14 individuals out of 89 members of research is interested in the issue of cardiovascular diseases. In the submitted thesis I focus on domestic violence issues. In the theoretical part, I outline these issues based on a bibliographic research; I specify a basic classification of domestic violence, its development, and the current situation in the Czech Republic. Further, I deal with an analysis of the victim and offender personalities and present a valid legislative framework. Last but not least, I present a list of selected organisations providing support for the persons at risk of domestic violence and principles of their work with such victims. In the empirical part I focus on an analysis of the methods of work and cooperation among selected supporting organisations and this based on interviews with their representatives. After reviewing all the obtained information, I present a proposal aimed at an improvement of the work with domestic violence victims. At the same time, I propose a task that is to be developed as a project by secondary school students within primary prevention; the project is aimed at familiarization of students with the correct and adequate procedures applied by workers from the organisations providing support for domestic violence victims.

It deals with the basic concepts of this topic: family, child and divorce. The practical part contains a qualitative research in order to investigate the reaction of children to the parental divorce and the changes that may occur in the area of the behaviour and the emotional experience, and in the area of the school work and the school results. It works with a method of interview by using a questionnaire, and obtained information is analysed and then is interpreted. TITLE: Attitudes of Teachers to the Phenomenon of Cyberbullying AUTHOR: Jiřina Piškulová DEPARTMENT: Department of Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Michal Zvírotský, Ph.D ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with the definition of cyberbullying and its relationship to the "standard, school" bullying. It draws attention to their differences and emphasizes their similarities which could be used in working with it. The work contains descriptions of some kinds of cyberbullying and their examples. It specifies the typical features of the aggressor and the victim, again in the contrast to the standard bullying. It gives instructions to the prevention of this socially pathological behaviour from the point of view of the user, his parents and the school. It describes the process of revelation and consequent investigation of cyberbullying and anew it deals with the measures of the school, parents and the user. It comments on cyberbullying aimed at teachers, it defines the attitude and tries to estimate the attitudes of teachers the cyberbullying. TITLE: Knowledge and attitudes towards HIV / AIDS among adolescents in the selected region AUTHOR: Bc. The first part describes basic information about HIV and AIDS - the essence of the disease, transmission of disease, method of spreading the principles of diagnosis, therapy options. I describe the basic principles of prevention for a wide strata of the population and the basic principles of teaching, education and prevention in the elementary school. The second part is called research investigation. It describes the basic structure of the work. The research part contains the way of teaching of HIV and AIDS in three selected elementary schools and one selected secondary school in eighth classes. Information was obtained using a questionnaire, where I find the knowledge and attitudes of pupil sin individual schools and an interview with a teacher who has taught this subject. This thesis deals with the eating disorders, focusing on two basic and currently the most important diseases - anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The theoretical part summarizes findings about the eating disorders. I give basic information about anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, I devote the attention to their causes , symptoms and consequences. I also write about a prevention of the eating disorders in primary school. Based on the theoretical background, a questionnaire survey was conducted among elementary schools, which aim was to determine the level of knowledge of these issues, satisfaction with one's body and appearance and their relationship to the diet trends.

TITLE: Life of clients after spinal cord injury AUTHOR: Anna Kudláková DEPARTMENT: Katedra pedagogiky SUPERVIZOR: PhDr. Jaroslava Hanušová Ph.D. The theme of final work is "Life of clients after spinal cord injury". The aim of my work was mapping individuals with this injury. Study and then sort and provide compact information of the issue. At the same time try role of handicapped client through fixed rules experiment. Thanks to experiment gain unbiased information from one day life of man on wheelchair. Later, trough quantitative analysis, this information confront with feelings of actually handicapped people. Initial point for quantitative analysis was a survey, which was made not only in organizations engage with this issue. Respondents were chosen randomly, their age range was 26-50 years, social or other status wasn't determining. Question form was based on hypotheses defined in advance, which were after decoding earned dates in most cases confirmed. Thanks to complete information and questionnaire probe this work provides valuable information of the issue and could be used for orientation and mapping of this area, not only in helping professions. The presented thesis deals with the topic Influence of promotion of alcoholic beverages to the juveniles, ways of prevention. The goal of the thesis is mapping the situation in the field of alcohol consumption by juveniles, to find connections between alcohol consumption by juveniles and all motional factors including alcohol propagation on one side and prevention on the other side.The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with alcohol, with an emphasis on alcohol abuse by juveniles and its impact on them, the topic of advertising, principles of operation and advertising techniques and finally the issue of prevention. The practical part consists of a reconnaissance survey aimed at juveniles and the environment in which they find themselves, alcohol, prevention and promotion and their interconnectedness; the processed survey results are used to confirm or refuse the formulated hypotheses.

The bachelor's thesis focuses on problems of alternative ways of alimentation. In the theoretical part the term alternative ways of alimentation is defined and briefly particular alternative alimentation is characterized. It treats also about problems of evolution in teenage, particularly about a relation of adolescents to alimentation. The practical part of the thesis describes a research which testified the relation of adolescents to alternative ways of alimentation. The research was focused on survey if students of chosen schools are interested in issues of alternative ways of alimentation, if they eat alternatively and why. The questionnaire was used to achieve the data. The results of the realized questionnaire research prove the interest of teenagers in alternative ways of alimentation, but most of the responders in the questionnaire said that they do not eat alternatively.

The text deals with the perception of volatile compounds in the vicinity of socially excluded localities. The theoretical basis of this work is taken on the basis of theory to define the impact of education, social exclusion and other factors that describe toluene abuser. The main part of the text focuses on case studies, which described the tendency to abuse toluene. This is particularly true for people from socially excluded localities. Observation of toluene abuser, phase of his addiction and devastation, however, do not belong to the main objective of this work. It focuses mainly on the perception of drug abuse toluene as the risk-generation potential abuser (primary and practical schools) in connection with the approach of the teachers also addresses this issue. Despite the danger, however, with peers who abuse toluene, and especially for the older generation of this volatile substance to be considered harmless fun. This fact stands out in the context of intravenous heroin and methamphetamine, contrary to the public clearly terrified. Based on data that are collected by questionnaire survey, this work gives the parties determine the perception of toluene in the vicinity of the abuser. in English: The thesis has been focused on a description of the Sex education evolution in Czech countries since 1945 till nowadays; based on theoretical studies as well as interrogation of individuals of different age. Its one part deals also with a research which concerned in 62 respondents. The main aim of the research was to find out whether the Sex education has been taught at primary school, how often and which topics have been mentioned. At the end of the thesis a brief comparison among the theoretical information and the results of the research are mentioned.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of how teachers influence the choice of leisure time activities of children of first grades of primary school. The aim is to track in which way a teacher can influence the process. The theoretical background of the thesis are notions, such as leisure time, the characteristics and progress of young school children and the atmosphere in which young children spend their leisure time. Theinfluences are analyzed that form children and affect the way they spend their lemure time. Particular attention is paid to the role of a primary school teacher and the ways in which they can influence their pupils' leisure time. The practical part compares leisuretime activities of children in Prague and in a small town.

Title The awareness about domestic violence among the Czech community Author Jana Trochtová Abstract Presented diploma thesis had for the object the theoretical processing of development of the phenomenon of domestic violence in historical contexts, the identification of variety and classification of domestic violence, the specification of victim and perpetrator of domestic violence and of course the identification of the effects that domestic violence in the family or intimate relationship brings to the victim or the perpetrator. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with the structure of professional organizations in the Czech Republic, the possibilities of the prevention and especially with the therapy of the perpetrator as well. The practical part of this diploma thesis was focused on evaluation of awareness about domestic violence among the Czech community, whereas the main output was the analysis of Czech community's readiness for perpetrator's therapeutic programs and the expression of its own preferences for improving the awareness of discussed issue. The method of questionnaire research was used for data collection. The diploma thesis is supplemented by information obtained from professionals working in specific organization helping people affected by domestic violence.

The goal of this thesis is to describe the historical development of child care in the Czech Republic and in the world. It was never easy for children in the adult world. At the origination, the leader of the tribe decided about their lives. In the past murders of little girls were common, men could fight and protect the tribe or nation better. Boys were often killed by enemies so there was no descendant left. It was not until the acceptance of Christianity in 16th century that it had changed. It was still not a peaceful childhood, but there were no child murders. On the other hand, a lot of childen ended up in monasteries without parents. Nowadays at least children in the developed world should have a real childhood. Unfortunately there is still a considerable amount of adverse cases. Another goal was to familiarize the reader with CAN Syndrome. In 1962 the term "Beaten Child Syndrome" was used, later the name CAN Syndrome became common. This syndrome was first described in the USA, where they noticed children have injuries their parents cannot make clear. Categories included in CAN Syndrome were established by the Council of Europe in 1992.
