This work is aimed at studying the profitability of Household Demand Side Management which is a Demand Response (DR) solution aiming at providing power margins to the non-automatic Balancing Market (BM) by load-shedding of domestic electric heaters. After a large literature review aiming at better understanding the balancing market context in Europe, a deterministic model has been applied on the Swedish case in the 2020 timeframe, considering as well the involvement of Electric Vehicles (EVs) flexibility margins. It finally shows that due to investment costs distributed in each household, such solution is not feasible in short-term in locations which are not suffering a significant shortfall risk., QC 20150710

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the conflict of Norrvikens trädgårdar (Norrviken's Gardens) in the rural community of Båstad municipality in Sweden. For a long time, this park has been an arena for conflicts about land use and physical planning. With a theoretical approach, founded on second home tourism, the thesis examines the struggle between the different actors. Second home tourism is a major theme in Båstad, which creates an unique regional context. Hence, the thesis tries to understand the conflict in relation to the second home dominated regional context. This is achieved by a qualitative method, conducted by a literature- and document study and complementary interviews. Firstly, the concepts of second home tourism are discussed, which creates a theoretical framework. Thereafter, the characteristics of Båstad are explored. With the geographical context defined, the thesis approaches the conflict in Norrviken, which serves as a case study for land conflicts in second home regions. The concepts of second home are then evaluated as a possible explanation behind the conflict. The conclusion is that there are, in most aspects, a strong relation between the conflict and the regional context.

The work concerns the inelastic response of composite preforms when subjected to large deformations. The Kawabata equipment has been used to measure the shear and bending properties of the textile reinforcements. In addition, the newly developed triaxial rheometer for out-of-plane shear and compression testing is presented and used. The triaxial rheometer is capable of simultaneous compression and two independent shear deformation modes, allowing for triaxial deformation states. Compared to previous techniques the main benefits are triaxiality, elimination of edge effects and suitability for anisotropic materials. Also, a constitutive theory for the modelling of a wide range of fibrous performs based on hypoplasticity is also presented. The experimental results indicates that even dry preforms behaves viscoelastoplastic as well as showing unsymmetrical behaviour in bending., QC 20150424

Direkthandeln är en relativt okänd del av det svenska näringslivet. Den är butikslös och säljer direkt till konsument vid personliga möten. Även om den är en liten del av den totala handeln omsätter den i Sverige 2,5 miljarder kronor och engagerar 100.000 säljare, majoriteten kvinnor på deltid. I boken medverkar ett 10-tal författare från högskola och näringsliv. I nio kapitel presenteras handelns uppgift i samhället, direkthandelns arbetssätt och möjligheter, den moderna marknadsföringen i det värdeskapande nätverkssamhället, ledarskapets och motivationens stora betydelse, kvinnans roll i direkthandeln samt intresseorganisationer och etiska regler. I sex praktikfall ges en inblick i svenska och internationella direkthandelsföretags verklighet och boken avslutas med ett kort inlägg från en av direkthandelns ledande företrädare.

Syfte: Studiens syfte är att identifiera de faktorer som är viktiga för svenska företag att ha i åtanke för att få ett fungerande samarbete, i form av ett joint venture, på den reglerade kinesiska marknaden. Metod: Studien bygger på tre kvalitativa fallstudier gjorda på svenska företag etablerade i Kina. Respondenterna består av dels representanter från fallföretagen och dels konsulter med inriktning på affärsetablering i Kina. Genom hela studien används följande tre punkter för att få en sammanhängande struktur: val av samarbetspartner, struktur på samarbetet samt ledningsfilosofi. De tre ovanstående punkterna underbyggs alla av varsin teori, som är utgångspunkten för studiens analys. Slutsatser: Studien har resulterat i ett bidrag till hur företag som bildar ett joint venture ska gå tillväga för att i bästa möjliga mån kunna nå ett fungerande samarbete. Det görs en koppling mellan de olika teorier som använts och hur de samverkar. Slutligen sammanställs de viktigaste faktorerna att beakta vid etablering av ett joint venture i Kina.

Syftet är att beskriva och analysera ekonomistyrningen i ett stort försäljningsinriktat företag som nyligen organiserats enligt matrisstruktur. Metod: Det teoretiska avsnittet beskriver relevanta teorier kring ekonomisk styrning och organisationsstruktur. Det empiriska avsnittet består av en presentation av Sydkraft Försäljning AB och de förutsättningar under vilken deras verksamhet drivs. Teorin och empirin ger underlag till problemdiskussionen. Resultatet består framförallt av en uppsummering av problemdiskussionen därefter görs en generaliserande analys. Slutligen görs en tillbakablick av uppsatsarbetet.

A study of supermarket owners (Javefors Grauers 1999) showed that the woman and the man in the family business were unequal in terms of e.g. ownership, salaries, and domestic work. Furthermore, that the woman in the business couple was not visible as a supermarket owner. The results were interpreted as an outcome of the gender system (Hirdman 1990). The dissertation deals with the question whether the outcome of the gender system is modified towards equal terms if the business couple runs a family business within a profession that requires a higher education. In order to illuminate if professional membership modifies the outcome of the gender system, a study of professional business couples where both spouses are lawyers was conducted. The results of the study were compared with the results from the study of supermarket owners. The comparison shows that the professional membership amongst business couples to a certain degree contributes in modifying the outcome of the gender system. Despite there was a traditional gender pattern of differentiation among the lawyers e.g. in domestic work sharing, the findings taking together and especially the visibility of the female lawyers point towards that family business in terms of business couple in a profession actually works towards equality between the spouses. The female lawyers were visible as business women but the female supermarket owners were not. The visibility of the female lawyer is explained by the legitimacy she receives through her professional knowledge and acknowledged profession. When a legal advisor has applied for and been admitted to the Law Society she becomes visible as a lawyer to those who have an interest in her professional competence. Professional membership amongst business couples seems to modify the outcome of the gender system and thereby to make family business a vehicle of equality., The dissertation consists of two volumes: this second volume and a licentiate thesis (Javefors Grauers, E. Avhandlingen avser att bidra till kunskapen om kvinnors och mäns villkor som familjeföretagare inom dagligvaruhandeln, en sektor av näringslivet som inte stått i fokus för forskning av familjeföretaget. Inte heller har både kvinnan och mannen i företaget tidigare varit i fokus för denna forskning, som främst varit inriktad på mannen. Inom livsmedelsdetaljhandeln drivs många butiker som familjeföretag av kvinna och man tillsammans. Avhandlingen bygger på fallstudier i tre ICA-butiker, där bl a arbets- och rollfördelningen mellan makarna ingående studerats. Resultaten av de empiriska studierna presenteras i form av berättelser. Familjeföretagarna, deras bakgrund, de anställda och företagen beskrivs och läsaren får följa respektive fall under en arbetsdag i butiken. Trots att kvinnans och mannens insatser är lika viktiga är det oftast mannens roll som uppmärksammas och mannen som får plats i ICAs styrelser och ledningsgrupper.
