My thesis deals with homeless people. For variol reasons, mostly after a family brake-up or loosing a job, They ended up on the street. My aim is to find out how these people lived before they became homeless, to determine thein current situation and to find out chat thein plans for the future are. In the theoretical part I deal with the definitiv of homeless people and with causes and forms of homelessness. I characterize homeless people. Secondly, I focus on unemployment, family and poverty as tho most common causes of homelessness. In the practical part I used the qualitative research strategy where a case is in focus. The interview was carried out in a special form, as so-called narative interview. I describe how difficult the respondents' lives were, what kind of demanding conditions they had to go trough and who offered them help.

This work deals with the topic how to help the over-indebted clients. The theoretical part describes the term over-indebtedness, its forms and the ways of help provided to the people with such problems. The closer interest is put on how these people can be helped by social work, which methods are suitable and relevant to this type of work and how these methods are defined in specialized literature and corresponding legislation. The practical part of this work focuses on the form of help to these people within a specific organization that provides social services and works for the over-indebted clients. Using some case studies the work describes some particular cases and methods of work which were applied. Concerning the methods of work with these clients, the thesis describes the elements of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis which are used by social workers while working with their clients. Further on, the thesis describes the social workers' attitudes, their experiences with their clients and points out some existential questions they deal with, especially from the perspective of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis.

Homelessness represents a most serious challenge for current cities and their administrations across the globe. Despite this fact, it is surprising that the topic of homelessness from the perspective of institutions has been so understudied so far [e. g. Temelová, Jana et al. 2015]. This paper will focus on the conceptualization of homelessness by institutions. It will try to describe how the institutions, which are dealing with homelessness, conceptualize it and see if the conceptualization occurs in the practice of social service providers. There are three main research questions: (1) how do institutions conceptualize homelessness?, (2) do the conceptualizations change over time and if they do how ? (e. g. under the influence of the "ETHOS" European definition (FEANTSA 2005)), (3) how is the individualizing neoliberal project manifested in this? For answering the questions I will use a qualitative research methodology - semi-structured interviews with representatives of institutions, which will be supplemented by networks mapping and structured literature search of conceptual, methodological and strategic documents, which will first be deductively and then inductively analyzed with using MAXQDA program.

This thesis deals with the role of volunteering in social services for the elderly in non-profit organizations. The aim of the work is to find out what benefits volunteers can provide for clients. I have focused on non-profit organizations for which volunteering is typical. I acquired data through in-depth interviews with clients and volunteers selected non-profit organization providing residential care for the elderly. Through this research I have offered a look at the benefits of volunteering through the requirements of current social services. The diploma thesis is called: Transformation of social services from the perspective of social workers in residential services in Příbram. The aim of my work is to briefly describe the process, development and objectives of transformation and deinstitutionalization of social services and to supplement it with an empirical qualitative survey. This topic is currently very topical and becomes a big dilemma from the point of view of all workers who are interested in the social area. The main aim of my work is to collect essential information with the help of professional literature and to put forward practical recommendations that will be useful in connection with the possibilities of people with mental disabilities in Příbram. I give these recommendations during the discussion and at the conclusion. I also found out how social workers who work in residential facilities for people with mental disabilities in Příbram or the department of social services Příbram perceive the transformation of social services. This bachelor thesis is focused on families with clients taken care of in the home environment with the help of field care. Nowadays, if a family member falls ill and in consequence of this illness their motion is limited, they are unable to take care of themselves, thus they are dependent on the help of another person. Sometimes, the family are unable to manage taking care of their relative. Being able to find help as well as knowing where to find it is significant for the nursing individual. Many families cannot or do not want to take care of their relatives, and thus, clients end up in retirement house, where their health condition deteriorates. I chose this topic because I had worked within field care Humanica, and my professional practice took place in Social Servces in Milevsko. The aim of the theoretical part is mapping out information about old age, how it is classified, what changes occur in old age, the most frequent illnesses, and a brief overview of social services in Milevsko. The main aim of the practical part is to find out how working with the family is integrated within field work. To reach this aim, I have chosen another, partial aim. To collect data, I have used a qualitative research of open coding. A standardized interview consisting of 8 respondents made up the main method. Further, I had the option of viewing personal documents to approach clients´ anamnesis. The research was carried out in spring 2018. Results were processed also using literal transcription and tables. The research has found out that families are unable to manage their situation without field workers who, according to care-taking individuals, are emphathic, and are able to fulfill almost all of their requirements. A family, cooperating with field service, is able to take complex care of a client in their natural, home environment. Taking care of an ill individua within home enviornment is very demanding, and it influences the operation of the whole family, thus it is necessary for the family to stick together and help each other, always. Results may be used mainly in given field services, leading to the improvement of services in Milevsko. Further, they may be useful to students, experts in social services, and to family information about the significance of field service cooperation.

The diploma thesis deals with employee training, which should serve as a tool for improving the quality of provided services. The diploma thesis was divided into two main parts. Literary research has been devoted to basic concepts in soci-al services in general, the structure of employees in social services and the pro-fessional requirements for education, and social workers and workers in social services. The aim is to analyze the education system in selected contributory or-ganizations and to assess whether selected contributory organizations are suffi-ciently involved in educating their employees. Quantitative research was used in the form of a questionnaire survey, which was statistically thereafter evaluated and qualita-tive research that was conducted through personal interviews with the organi-zation's management and was processed by MAXQDA software. In the end the diploma thesis has been designed with specific recommendations, including economic calculation, which should help to improve and streamline the current system of education and development of employees in selected contributory organizati-ons.

This bachelor thesis observes readiness of social service providers for emergencies in the district of Frýdek-Místek. It assesses staff awareness and overall preparedness of social service providers in emergencies and also compares the findings with those obtained within the South Bohemian Region. The theoretical part of my thesis deals with the topic of social services and emergencies. The chapter on social services introduces basic concepts of the field, individual types of social services and their description. The following chapter focuses on emergencies -- it defines the basic terminology, familiarises with the types of emergencies and describes the territory of the Frýdek-Místek district in terms of its threats, which are described in more detail. The research part of the thesis was based on a questionnaire survey. The questionnaires were intended for the directors and responsible managers of social service providers -- the qualitative research method was used for this target group -- as well as for the staff of social service providers, using quantitative research. Social facilities selected for this purpose had to correspond with two criteria - the first criterion being the social facilities provided residential form of social service, and the second being suitable for the disabled. The questionnaire survey revealed the unreadiness of the social service providers for emergency incidents in the Frýdek-Místek district. The results did not reach the established success rate of 80% and discovered that the staff of these researched facilities were not informed sufficiently on their facilities' emergency strategies. Comparing these results with those from the South Bohemian Region, it was found that the level of awareness and preparedness of social service providers for emergency situations is equally inadequate in both cases.

Bachelor's work engages in emergency care and its importance in the care of seniors. In particular it targets those seniors which are also patients of general practitioners. General practitioners are a great source of informations for their patients. Seniors trust them and follow their advice. General practitioners should know social service, consequently emergency care, to be able to inform their patients. Thus the aim of this bachelor's work is to chart emergency care for seniors from the view of general practitioners. The questions of my research were aimed on the range of knowledge of general practitioner about emergency care. Onwards, how general practitioners evaluate the meaning of emergeny care in care of seniors. The questions of research were also targeted on how the general practitioners inform about this care those patients, who could be potential users of this particular service. In this bachelor's work was used qualitative research, the method of questioning and the technique of halfstructured interview. Research ensemble was constituted by 9 general practitioner from České Budějovice and Trhové Sviny. The data were sorted into particular categories for better lucidity. Research shows that hardly any of general practitioners know the service of emergency care, which means they provide this information on rare occasions and to hardly anyone. On the other hand they admit that there are just few sources of informations for seniors. As the most important contribution of emergency care is, according to the general practitioners, the encrease of security, feeling of safety and the independence of seniors. The results of my work can be used by students and also by occasional applicants for this service, but mostly by providers of emergency care and by general practitioners to enhance interest and improve knowledge in services, particularly in emergency care.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the perception of social work from the point of view of the public in the Vysočina Region. The thesis is based on the theoretical bases describing the current state of social work in our country, the basic position of social work, i.e. the definition of social work. Furthermore, target groups, social work services and their distribution. The following part of the thesis describes the profession of a social worker, where the work deals with the characteristics and abilities of the social worker, the typology of approaches and the education of social workers. The work also deals with factors influencing the perception of social work itself. The theoretical basis of the work is followed by the research which aims to find out how social work is perceived by the public. The research group is the public from the Vysočina Region. The main findings of the research carried out are that the respondents consider social work to be important for the functioning of society. An equally important finding of the research is the perception of social workers by the public, as workers who help people solve their problems. The Vysočina Region does not consider social work as a lucrative job.

The diploma thesis topic is an impact analysis of how social services affects clients of community living for disabled people. The main goal of this thesis is to answer a question whether the social service leads to decrease of its range. The clients sample of 12 was selected from those who use the service longest. The data analysis of individual service records complemented with qualitative quality available data confirmed the assumed hypothesis. The initial hypothesis assumed that 80% of clients who use the community living for disabled people the longest lead to decreased the need of provided services. The secondary goal of this thesis is to suggest options how to improve the efficiency of provided services to the service providers. The final thesis is focused on problematic question of social services quality inspection. First part of the thesis aids on conception of quality in context of social services. This part also describes development of social services and their practical use in law system of Czech Republic. We can also find description of inspection methods and their system. Third charter is mainly focused on dimension of inspector's ethic codex. It is aiming on systems of values, professional ethics, ethic codex and education of inspectors. Last and main chapter is trying to explain problematic areas in actual and real conditions of inspection process. Chapter contains suggestions with several solutions. Thesis uses and combines all collected data from verified sources, specialists external inspectors.

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to describe the practice of animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapies with dog (used methods, techniques, aids, benefits, financing, staffing, documentation, involvement of a social worker) providing in children with disabilities in social services in South Bohemian Region. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part contains 3 chapters - Animal Assisted Activity and Animal Assisted Therapy with Dog, Disability and Animal Assisted Activity and Animal Assisted Therapy with Dog in the Context of Social Services for People with Disabilities. The research section identified two main research questions HVO1 and HVO2 and two sub-research questions DVO1 and DVO2. The research was carried out in the form of a qualitative survey using the semi-structured interview technique. For the interviews, a record sheet was created with questions divided into 6 categories. The interviews were conducted with four canistherapy communicators who were selected on the basis of a purposeful quota selection. Research has shown that canistherapy in selected facilities is most often in group form once every 14 days. The most commonly used canistherapy methods are dog-assisted activities, and the most common techniques include dog brushing, positioning, walking with a dog on a leash and ball throwing. The involvement of a social worker in canistherapy involves participation in canistherapy itself, communication with a canisterapeut, and in the mediation of canistherapy. The results of the research can serve as feedback to providers of outpatient social services where the research was carried out. Furthermore, it is relevant for volunteers with dogs and those interested in the issue of animal assisted activities and animal assisted therapies with dog from the professional and general public.

The bachelor thesis is focussed on the quality in social services. It describes the scope of social services and the structure of organizations which provides such services in the Czech Republic. Primarily, the work is aimed at Quality Certificate for Czech providers of social care services. The first questionnaire is completed by certificated organizations. The results explore the strengths and weaknesses of the project. Detailed information about project are provided by Association of the Providers of Social Services. Furthermore, certificated organization from South Bohemia introduce their examples of good practice. Consumer research analyses the evaluation criteria of potential consumers. Finally, the results from all researches are evaluated and suggestions for improvement are recommended.

The main topic of this bachelor´s work is use of art therapy in social work. In the first under chapter of theoretic part I define the art therapy, it´s history, it´s forms which I split up in the individual part and the group part and I also define the education of the art therapist. Further I mention target groups such as children, adults and seniors. I also describe the different stances in art therapy. There are some methods like imagination, animation, concentration, shakeout, transformation and reconstruction. At the end of the first under chapter I have described technics of art therapy. Second under chapter contains the concept of social work, the role of the social worker and his education and social services. The practical part of this work contains qualitative research with use of technic of half standardized interview and with questioning method. The half standardized interviews were with five social workers and two art therapists who work in Brno in social services. The main goal of this bachelor´s work was to map possibilities of using the art therapy in social services. Particular goals were to find out, if the art therapy helps the users in social services, in what exactly does art therapy help and in which situations it´s most convenient to use the art therapy. Research questions are concentrated on application of art therapy in social services, on methods and technics of art therapy, theirs use in the context of social work and in this work is also shown the importance of working cooperation between social worker and art therapist. In my opinion I have full filed the results and I have found that the art therapy helps the clients with solving demanding situations, under stress and also just in a bad mood. Best benefits are development of communication, self-expression and connecting contacts. In my opinion the results of my survey could be used by social workers and also the art therapist. The results can be used by facilities which will get basic information about other types of facilities and they can improve their own deficiency. I also guess that this work can be interesting for the students who study social work or for the art therapists who want to concentrate themselves for social area.

This diploma thesis looks into the transformation of social services for people with disabilities in the context of deinstitutionalization in the Czech Republic. To answer the research goals (1) To find out how the main transformation processes in the field of social services policy in the Czech Republic were performed in the context of deinstitutionalization, focusing on a group of people with disabilities, (2) to find out by the optics of SKCP, how are people with disabilities involved in the deinstitutionalization policy of the residential social services, the approach of qualitative research was used. The approach is based on the document analysis and the expert research. The theoretical starting points of this thesis are the theory of implementation and the components of the theoretical framework of target population's social construction, focusing on political power. With the help of the implementation theory, the development of the transformation processes in the Czech Republic from 2007 to present is explained, the key milestones of deinstitutionalization policy, objectives, present effects, key barriers and implementation deficits are identified. The theme of asylum houses is the main subject of the bachelor´s thesis. It focuses on life of mothers and social care in the Shelter of St. Alžběta in Veselíčko. Its main objective is to map welfare services, which are provided in these asylum houses and to monitor situation of single mothers and their children. The situation of single mothers is not easy and simple. They are confronted with uncertain prospects. Issues they are mostly dealing with are accommodation, financial situation and, quite often, they are trying to escape domestic violence. They definitely deserve a normal life. This bachelor´s thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is addressing welfare services in general and welfare services specifically in asylum houses, their mission and target groups. The succeeding part describes roles of social workers, ethical code and burnout syndrome which is frequent in a long-term social care career. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on family, its functions and pathological phenomena that may occur. The pathological phenomena impact primarily mental development of a child, however, they may affect also other family members. The practical part contains methodology employed to map the life in an asylum house. It is based on interviews with the female clients making use of this welfare service. Its goal is to find out what are the options for single mothers, how they are coping with their situation, why they seek out the services of asylum houses and what are the reasons for such a step. It describes in detail the attitude of social workers and their effort to integrate their clients into normal life. The research was carried out in the form of qualitative questioning. The method of choice became interview based on standardized questions. The interviews were made with clients of the Shelter of St. Alžběta in Veselíčko. As the interviews showed, women seek refuge in asylum houses mainly to get accommodation for themselves and their children. Also, they often solve their financial issues there. It is their last chance for a better life. They feel safe there and they sense order being established in their lives and those of their children. With the help of social workers, they are able to settle basic administrative affairs with local authorities which they probably would not be capable of being on their own. To conclude this one can only say that this particular welfare service is important and that the job of social workers is really hard.

This dissertation focuses on the long term (2006 - 2015) unsolved problems with the critical nature of healthcare payments in residential social services (PZSS) in the Czech Republic. The aim is a critical reflection of the legitimacy and the causes of this condition, including past efforts to identify and solutions. The used research methods are institutional analysis in combination with critical discourse analysis. The work is conceived as a critically-oriented research on social and health policies in the field of health care financing in PZSS in the period 1998 - 2015. Main findings of the cause of this problem are the failure to use the tool health- insurance plans and their unjustifiable replacement tool called. Reimbursement regulations, the use of which in combination with by power unilateral approach in the contractual relationship between health insurance and PZSS not only leads to problems, but especially to the general alienation public health insurance from the objectives and functions of the health system itself, which provides in this case health care in PZSS.

The goal of my Bachelor Thesis consists in summarizing the implementation of community planning of social services of ORP Dačice. The first part of the text is devoted to the history of community planning, to the methods applied in community planning and to basic concepts closely related to the topic in question, specifically to the concepts of community and community planning. The next chapter presents the individual steps of planning of the development of social services in more detail. I mention particularly the rules, principles, goals and starting points. I speak about the historical development, not only of the community planning in the Dačice area, but also the history of planning in the South Bohemian Region and individual development stages. The second part of my thesis assesses the implementation and fulfillment of the set goals of the community plan in SO ORP Dačice and its interconnection with the medium-term plan of social services in the South Bohemian Region. I used the document analysis as the adequate method for processing of the second part. I discuss in detail the participation of the individual local governments in the actual planning process and their approach to funding of social services from municipal budgets. The chapter includes also observations from practice and from structured interviews with representatives of individual municipalities on their awareness of community planning and knowledge of the needs, as well as of the use of specific social services in their municipalities, respectively. Finally, my thesis shows a summary of the social services currently provided in SO ORP Dačice and the proportion of the local governments in funding of the individual services.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the area of business in social services, specifically on a business plan for foundation of the private retirement home. The aim of the thesis is data processing for setting the business of accommodation and social services for retirees with using methods and procedures of strategic management. The work is divided into two parts theoretical and a practical one. Basic concepts and tools related to this topic, according to the specialists from the whole world and relevant legislation, are mentioned in the first part of the thesis. The second part is designed as the proposal of the business plan. The businnes plan, on the base of the structured interviews from well-established private and public retirement homes, is drawed up. The most possible risks of this project are evaluated in conclusion.

Dissertation focuses on men who became victims of domestic violence. Theoretical part is separated into four chapters. First chapter is talking about problem of domestic violence in general. Second chapter is focused especially on men as victims of domestic violence. Third chapter i stalking about social work and priciples how to help ad work with those victims of domestic violence. The last, fourth chapter is focused on how to help people who are threatened by domestic violence. Practical part of my dissertation is based on a qualitative research, which consists of semi- structured interviews. The aim of the empirical part is to introduced domestic violence, where the victims are men, show the concrete examples, describe the story of their life and current life situation, but also how the social workers see the probematics of domestic violence.

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the ability of the elderly to adapt in a home for the elderly. The goal of this thesis is to map factors that affect the adaptation of the elderly in a home for the elderly. The part of this thesis that focuses on theory describes the life period of being old, ways of preparing one for getting old, the process of getting old and changes that accompany this process. Another topic of the theory-focused part are different forms of care taking of the elderly - this thesis looks into both taking care of the elderly at home as well as into institutionalized care. Furthermore, this thesis describes selected social services that both the elderly and the families taking care of the elderly can take advantage of. The last chapter of the theoretical part concentrates on adaptation, the process of adaptation and adaptation of the elderly in residential facilities, as well as maladaptation. Empirical part of this work brings focus to research and obtaining answers to the main question of this research: What factors affect successful adaptation of the elderly in a home for the elderly? Four subquestions were selected to answer this main research question. Qualitative research strategy was chosen for this research and semi-structured type of interview was used as a form of data collection. Method of clustering was used for data results evaluation. Operationalization of the concepts was constructed from the research subquestions. The research was conducted on a set of six respondents 5 women and one male, all between the ages of 75 and 88, who live in the Home for Elderly in Písek. This set was selected based on intentional selection at that particular institute. The research showed that previous familiarity with the facility and the workers is very important for the adaptation of the elderly. Also, a very important factor is the family of the elderly thanks to their support, the elderly feels much safer and calmer in the new environment. Attempt to adjust to the person's habits, rituals and way of life in general is no less important for the success of the adaptation. This can be achieved, for example, by allowing to furnish one's room using their own favorite furniture and other objects.

This bachelor thesis is focused on social support of seniors in the Light a house for seniors, a branch office in Písek. The main objective is to map the levels of social support (micro-, intermediate and macro level) and its types in terms of content (emotional, evaluating, information and instrumental support). The thesis is divided into two consecutive parts, i.e. a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains, with the help of specialized literature, the definition of basic terms such as aging, age and seniority, social determinants of health, social support and human needs. Social work is also mentioned in this chapter. At the end of the theoretical part, a funded organization Light a house for seniors, a branch office in Písek, where the research took place, is presented. The practical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on answering the main and sectional research questions. For the research, a qualitative research strategy which was conducted using the method of asking and the semi-standardized interview technique, was chosen. The data collected was analyzed via categorization of data and then it was presented using tables and charts.The research was done within a group of 8 informants, using the service of the senior house Light, in Písek. Based on the received information was found out, that the informants are quite satisfied with fulfilling the social needs with help of social support, even if they think that the social support are only administrative tasks, or arranging compensatory or medical aids. For the closest people the informants consider their family members. The needs of seniors are mostly fulfilled by social workers. The results of the bachelor thesis can be used in the senior house Light, the branch office in Písek, as a feedback for employees or as a guide for improving the quality of care.

Thesis describes shelters, providing services to users, homelessness and its impact on the lives of individuals and their families with kids. The aim is to find out how children perceive their stay in a shelter, whether it is stigmatizing for them, whether this institution is perceived as their home and how they view the social workers at this facility. The first part describes the shelters and the provision of social services for users, briefly describes the developmental stages of an individual from early childhood to adolescence and finally it deals with the basic characteristics of the family and its role in a society, its functions and problems, possible causes of social exclusion and the subsequent stay of families in the shelter. The other part is based on qualitative research realized through semi-structured interviews carried out with children living in the shelter in Strakonice. Responses of these children are analyzed and evaluated due to this research. The final chapter summarizes the results of interviews and the research result shows the opinions of these children.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse provided social services and to evaluate their current level of the quality ,availability and structure in the Central Bohemian region. Special attention is devoted to the district of Kladno, which is one of the most populous districts of the region. The topic of social services is not only actual from the point of view of demographic trend of the population ageing, but nowadays it is also necessary to give an essential succour to other disadvantaged groups of the inhabitants. It is possible to say that social services have an influence on the quality of life and the current social system is based on the high level of social services and on the comprehension of specific needs of the individuals. The thesis devotes to the availability and structure of social services, which are provided for individual target groups of the inhabitants in the Central Bohemian region. The thesis concludes that social services are afforded in the desirable structure and mainly in bigger cities. The lower number of social services is given in smaller central and peripheral areas of the region. In the district of Kladno there is given the large number of social services of all sorts. They are available in the high quality. Nevertheless, the offer of social services for pensioners is not sufficient, the main reason is insufficient capacity of the long-stay services.

The bachelor's thesis deals with social work and sensory activation in a selected home for the elderly. The first part focuses on the old age and aging, the demographic development of aging in society in the Czech Republic, the concept of age with its accompanying changes. The following chapter describes the needs of seniors that are linked with social services for the elderly. The last chapter of this part of the thesis focuses on the activation on the general level and then on the sensual activation per se. The second part of the thesis deals with the concept of sensual activation and its use in a selected home for the elderly.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is to find out the satisfaction of the users with the services provided at the Petrklíč Center for Social Services. Bachelor thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part deals with basic concepts such as social services, social work, social worker and quality of social services. The next chapter is focused on user satisfaction. Conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the Petrklíč Center for Social Services, in which research was carried out. Practical part evaluates the results of the research, whose main objective was to evaluate the satisfaction of the users or their legal representatives with the offer and quality of the Petrklíč Center for Social Services. This section looks at what services are being offered and what services users use. It also focuses on the overall evaluation of the offer and quality of the Petrklíč Center for Social Services. A qualitative research technique was used to achieve the objectives. The semi-structured interview method was used to collect the data. The communication partners were eight and their responses were processed by the open coding technique. The results are presented in tables and graphs. The results of the research have shown that the users of the Petrklíč Social Services Center do not have an awareness of what services they offer, so some of them were unable to indicate what services they would like to use again. The results also indicate that the institution offers a service that it is unable to provide and some users and their legal representatives miss this . Other services that users would like to welcome to the Petrklíč Center for Social Services were also named. Therefore, it is not possible to say that the users or their legal representatives are fully satisfied with the offered services Petrklíč. However, they are satisfied with the quality of the services provided. At the conclusion of this thesis, it is also stated how this work could be helpful for the Petrklíč Center for Social Services.

The thesis discusses the satisfaction of senior citizens with social services in Prachatice. My thesis was aimed to identify awareness of senior citizens for social services available in the town of Prachatice. The other aim of my thesis was to identify how seniors are satisfied with the offer and provision of social services in Prachatice. Three research questions were used to achieve the goal. Semi-structured interviews with fourteen senior citizens who utilize social services in Prachatice were used to identify how seniors are informed about social services. Further I wanted to identify how elderly people are content with the offer and availability of social services, and how they are satisfied with the provision of social services, and what could be proposed to improve the offered and delivered social services. The acquired data were analysed using an open data coding method. The collected information indicates that awareness of social services for senior citizens in Prachatice is sufficient. A few proposals were raised by respondents that could increase awareness of available social services. Seniors are partly satisfied with the offer and availability of social services while they are not content with the number of vacancies in the Senior Home. They consider the provision of social services in Prachatice to be sufficient. A high number of respondents would propose to increase vacancies in the Senior Home in order to enhance the social services offered in Prachatice. The respondents would also propose to extend the offer of social services by personal assistance, day care center for elderly, home hospice care and increased number of beds in the Nursing Home for Persons with Cognitive Impairment. The respondents pointed out the possibility of more effective co-operation between providers of social services in Prachatice. The results of my thesis can help increase and make awareness of social services more effective and improve the offer and provision of social services for senior citizens in Prachatice.

The main objective of the thesis is the assessment of the long-term economic sustainability of a particular subject in the field of a provision of nursing services. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part defines basic concepts and the legislative framework related to the provision of social services. Further the attention is paid to providers of social services and the issues of financing of social services. The practical part characterizes the selected subject providing of nursing servises and is also focused on its economic analysis.

This thesis is devoted to the nonprofit sector entities in the social sphere, which are an important tool that is used primarily for removing social exclusion in society. Social services help clients ensure the physical and mental independence so that they can participate in the daily life of society as much as possible. The aim of my thesis was to analyze the activities of selected nonprofit sector entities in the social sector, focusing on management and economics. These entities were then compared. It was concluded that all companies are the largest source of funding grants, and all companies also form long-term strategic plan of the company. The two organizations use volunteer work. And further that the future development of nonprofit organizations in social services is positive and the number is growing. It is primarily due to the aging population.

Community planning of social services is not the current topic in the society. The diploma thesis goal is to realize a study review of community planning of social services in the Czech Republic and to describe the actual social situation in Praha-Suchdol municipal district according to community plan creation methodology. First part describes social services system and its legislation in the Czech Republic. Community planning of social services correlates with community and community social work. So I pay attention to them in the second part of the thesis. The community planning of social services can be described with respect to different views. I focused on such themes that are connected with a process of identifying the needs. This thesis analyses the actual social situation in Praha-Suchdol municipal district by secondary data and finally the thesis analyses results of the survey created for the thesis purpose of Praha-Suchdol citizen's opinions and needs.

This Master's thesis deals with the description of the current state of community planning of social services and the mid-term planning of development of social services in the Karlovy Vary region. At the same time, the thesis reflects the historical content which led to the use of the community planning method in The Czech Republic. In the thesis, the author uses examples from abroad and from The Czech Republic that show specific problems especially encountered by organizers planning social services. The author bases his research on his analysis of interviews held with planning coordinators in the Karlovy Vary region. From the coordinators viewpoint, they describe structure and course of social service planning processes in the region. The author also examines the role of users invited into the planning of social services, how planning organizers communicate with those users, and how all representatives evaluate the plan's results. An additional information source regading social services planning dealt with publicly available resources, particularly websites of individual cities and their regions. The aim of this paper is to explain the policy process of regional social service development strategies in the area of services for drug users. The process is explained on examination of two cases of very diverse regional strategies representing good and bad practice. Social construction of target populations is used as a theoretical framework and the research aims to verify and develop its theoretical assumptions. Subjective perceptions of key actors are deconstructed through public document analysis and in- depth interviews. Service providers are perceived as a trustworthy and competent policy actor and as such they play an important role in the development of medium-term strategy. The prevailing positive construction of drug users by providers and the strong position of service providers contribute to broad distribution of services for drug users in both examined regions. The main difference between the cases is explained by different perception of drug users by the public, different continuity of planning processes, and variance in the dynamic relationship between public opinion and key public policy makers.

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of mushy foods served in retirement homes. The thesis itself is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part focuses on social services, age and changes that influence using and intake of nutrients. The next chapters deal with nutrition of the elderly, crucial nutrients and nutrition disorders in old age. The term of mushy foods is defined in the last part of the theoretical part. The aim of the practical part of this thesis is to describe the issue of mushy foods in chosen facilities. I used the method of qualitative research, the technique of semi-structured interview, to obtain information for this issue. The semi-structured interviews were carried out with four employees of homes for the elderly. Another part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of weekly meal plans for six clients with mushy diet. The meal plans were evaluated by a programme ,,Nutriservis Profesional" and the final figures were compared with nutritive recommendations for population over 65 years old. The nutritive recommendations are listed in the publication called The Reference Values for Nutrient Intake 2011. Opinions on the issue of mushy foods served in retirement homes differ and it would be advisable to focus on better communication with families. According to my results, we can see that the issue of mushy foods is rather complex and it is necessary to solve it in a multidisciplinary way. The intervention of nutrition specialist is crucial within this type of diet. This thesis can be used as an educational source for students and specialists who take care of clients with a diet no. 1. Furthermore, the thesis can also raise awareness of mushy foods issue.

This bachelor's thesis deals with an issue which is ignored among experts ensuring financial resources for the purchase of marijuana by adolescent users and social work which is related to this problem. Prevention which should come first in this case is often insufficient, both from schools and families. If this basic prevention fails or the problem is downplayed by the people around, the situation where social work is one of the important options for help comes. One part of this thesis is a research which was made in the form of a questionnaire. The questionnaire is included in the theoretical part. It conducts a survey in the theoretical part and connects it with the research. The aim is to find out what the financial resources for the purchase of cannabis of adolescent users are in Ceske Budejovice and the surroundings.

The goal of the bachelor thesis is to follow up the problems especially of financing of social services. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and compare the financing of the retirement homes. Social services are provided to people, who have problems to succeed in the labour market such as graduates or disadvantaged people who need the help of another person, for example handicapped or seniors. The work follows a pattern of Act No. 108/2006 Coll., On Social Services. The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes the basic terms such as social services and their financing. I also explain the basic terms related to the effeciency, the financial plan and the community planning. The practical part deals with the basic description of the retirement homes, which have different founders and the financing of these retirement homes. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes the result of the analysis, which goals was to find out, which of the two retirement homes are funded efficiently, and which of the two retirement homes manage its costs.
