EBF-V bracing is highly attractive due to its good seismic performance in high seismic zones. Vertical link beams as a component are capable of high elastic displacement and ductility to absorb lateral forces through shear-bending collapse mechanisms. However, the lateral load capacity of the bracing has to be sacrificed as it tends to decrease. The present study focuses on the capacity and lateral behavior of reinforced concrete eccentrically braced frame (EBF) with vertical link beam and tighter reinforcement spacing in the link beam in combination with GGBFS. GGBFS at 20% can improve the mechanical properties by reducing the pore number of the concrete due to the smaller particle size of OPC.This study uses CBF-V as a control to investigate the seismic behavior of tightly spaced transverse reinforcement (75 mm) in EBFs’s vertical link beam with eccentricities of 15 cm and 25 cm. In addition, the role of GGBFS was also observed through the displacement and ductility of the frame. As a result, the CBF has the highest plasticity. However, the tight reinforcement spacing of the vertical link beam in the EBF-V-15 results in the highest restraint, resulting in excellent stiffness and ductility through earthquake absorption with a shear collapse mechanism. In addition, GGBFS also plays a role in improving the collapse mechanism, which is characterized by large elastic displacement and high ductility.

To make the structure stronger and stiffer, which is more susceptible to earthquake forces, a special mechanism is required to improve the structure's lateral stability. EBF-V with a horizontal link beam is a brace that can enhance structural performance by providing good stiffness and ductility. On the other hand, GGBFS, as a partial OPC replacement material, was applied to contribute to using more environmentally friendly materials. Besides offering a smaller carbon footprint, GGBFS also positively improves the mechanical properties of concrete. Thus, this study focuses on investigating the crack propagation pattern of reinforced concrete braced frames combined with 20% GGBFS in EBF-V with three variations of link beam element lengths of 0 cm (CBF), 15 cm (EBF-V-) and 25 cm (EBF-V-25). As a result, the CBF specimen showed the best seismic performance. In EBF specimens, there is an increase in the collapse mechanism to be more ductile. The link beam plays a role in making the crack pattern more focused. EBF-V-15 performs well under seismic loading with large lateral capacity and ductility. The cracks in the frame are evenly distributed, dominated by fine cracks, and symmetrical on both sides. This validates that GGBFS plays a good role in improving the frame performance with its pore-filling effect and pozzolanic reaction.

Building the structural components is crucial for constructing a multi-story building. In the process of creating these components, which is commonly done through casting, a tool called formwork is required. Formwork is a tool used to mold the necessary concrete structures, ensuring that their shape and dimensions align with the concrete material's planning. Formwork tasks for concrete work significantly impact costs. Different formwork options, including traditional, semi-system, and full-system forms, are available. This research aims to assess cost-effectiveness through value engineering, specifically focusing on column formwork, by comparing their utilization in a multi-story construction project. The study begins by collecting primary data, namely working drawings, so that the volume of conventional formwork can be calculated. Then, budget planning calculations are made to analyze the cost comparison of each formwork alternative. The selection of the appropriate formwork affects the speed of execution and the costs incurredIn this construction project for the building, the conventional column formwork results in expenses amounting to IDR 587,749,263.04 and requires 28 days for completion, while semi-system column formwork achieves a 37% cost saving with the same duration of 28 days, and full-system column formwork becomes 64% more cost-effective with a construction period of 10 days.

Abstract. Quality of life (QoL) is a concept which aims to capture the well-being, whether of a population or individual, regarding both positive and negative elements within the entirety of their existence at a specific point in time. Many studies have found that PTSD symptoms can worsen the quality of life of COVID-19 survivors, and a high level of resilience can indicate a good quality of life for COVID-19, because a high level of resilience makes people able to rise from their worst condition. This study aimed to explain the mediating effect of resilience on the relationship between PTSD symptoms and the COVID-19 survivors’ quality of life. This study used a quantitative method, and 133 participants (mean age: 26.738; 75.2% female) were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used the IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 program. PROCESS Macro 4.1 add-on by Hayes. Research results showed that in path a, PTSD symptoms significantly predicted resilience (β = -0.049; p = 0.001; LLCI = -0.072; ULCI = -0.020). In path b, resilience also significantly predicts quality of life (β = 2.156; p = 0.000; LLCI = 1.443; ULCI = 2.868). The direct effect of PTSD symptoms on quality of life shown in path c' is also significant (β = -0.387; p = 0.000; LLCI = -0.511; ULCI = -0.263) which gives higher results than the total effect (β = -0.493; p = 0.000; LLCI = -0.626; ULCI = -0.359). The results of the study show that PTSD symptoms had an antagonistic relationship, and resilience had a positive relationship with COVID-19 survivors’ quality of life. In addition, resilience was also found to significantly mediate the relationship between PTSD symptoms and COVID-19 survivors’ quality of life. COVID-19 survivors are advised to increase their resilience level to reduce the negative impact of PTSD symptoms on their quality of life. The Digital Population Identity Application provides convenience for users to access and manage their population data digitally. Based on the increasing usage of the Digital Population Identity Application on the Google Play Store, various user reviews of the application have emerged. Therefore, sentiment analysis is needed to provide a deeper understanding of user perceptions and to classify user reviews of the Digital Population Identity Application. Sentiment analysis is a computational study of opinions, feelings, and emotions expressed in text, using the K-Nearest Neighbors method, which is a classification method based on the closest distance or similarity to objects in the training data. Using 5000 relevant review data from September 2022 to December 2023, after labeling them into positive, negative, and neutral sentiment classes, the results show 3581 negative sentiments, 1031 positive sentiments, and 388 neutral sentiments. Testing was conducted by applying the K-Nearest Neighbors method in the classification stage, testing this method by varying K values from 1 to 10. The best results were obtained with a training data ratio of 90% to testing data ratio of 10%. The best results were achieved at K values of 8, 9, and 10, with an accuracy of 81%, precision of 82%, recall of 95%, and an F1-Score of 88%. With a training data ratio of 70% to testing data ratio of 30%, the best results were obtained at K values of 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, with an accuracy of 80%, precision of 81%, recall of 95%, and an F1-Score of 88%. Based on the results of this research, the K-Nearest Neighbors method can be used for sentiment classification of user reviews with good results.

Pendahuluan: Menilai pentingnya kekuatan otot dan stabilitas fungsional pada pasien pasca operasi rekonstruksi ACL (ACLR) menuntut pemahaman mendalam tentang sejauh mana faktor-faktor fisik berkorelasi dengan stabilitas fungsional lutut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kekuatan otot quadriceps dengan stabilitas fungsional pada pasien ACLR di Komunitas ACL Indonesia. Metode: Desain penelitian ini analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 26 pasien ACLR dari Komunitas ACL Indonesia yang berada di Bali. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan hand-held dynamometer untuk mengukur kekuatan otot quadriceps dan single hop test untuk mengukur stabilitas fungsional. Latar Belakang: Emisi metana dari sistem pencernaan ruminansia memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap pemanasan global. Reviews: Artikel ini menyajikan tinjauan mendalam terhadap strategi mitigasi emisi metana pada ruminansia dengan penekanan pada aspek ilmiah yang mendasarinya. Emisi metana berasal dari proses fermentasi mikroba dalam sistem pencernaan hewan ternak seperti sapi, domba, dan kambing. Faktor-faktor seperti jenis pakan, genetika, dan proses fermentasi mempengaruhi tingkat emisi metana. Strategi nutrisi menjadi pendekatan utama dengan penggunaan aditif pakan seperti senyawa tanin dan minyak nabati yang terbukti mengurangi produksi metana tanpa mengurangi produktivitas ternak. Manipulasi mikroba dalam rumen melalui penggunaan probiotik dan prebiotik juga menunjukkan hasil positif dalam mengurangi emisi metana. Pengembangan teknologi pemantauan yang canggih, seperti sensor dan teknologi pemantauan non-invasif, membantu mengidentifikasi dan mengukur emisi metana secara akurat. Penting untuk mempertimbangkan aspek ekonomi dan sosial dalam implementasi strategi mitigasi. Keterjangkauan teknologi dan keberlanjutan strategi bagi peternak kecil menjadi fokus utama. Keseluruhan, pendekatan holistik yang mencakup strategi nutrisi, manipulasi mikroba, teknologi pemantauan, dan pertimbangan ekonomi-sosial diharapkan memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengurangi dampak lingkungan dari sektor peternakan ruminansia. Strategi ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat lingkungan tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi ternak secara keseluruhan. Dengan demikian, upaya mitigasi emisi metana pada ruminansia tidak hanya merupakan tantangan ilmiah tetapi juga mencakup aspek sosial dan ekonomi yang penting untuk mencapai keberlanjutan dalam sektor peternakan.

This review aims to summarize the different colorectal cancer guidelines for average-risk and high-risk individuals from various countries.

This study focuses on high-temporal-resolution Vertical Total Electron Content (VTEC) estimation over Nigeria, which is crucial for enhancing satellite-based applications. Utilizing RINEX, IONEX, and SP3 data from 2011 across 10 stations, the research integrates a novel VTEC model (LIMS) based on orthogonal transformation, achieving an unprecedented 10-minute temporal resolution sampling. The model incorporates multi-Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) constellations. Geomagnetic and solar activity impact assessments involve the Ap index, sunspot number, and DSt index. Specifically, the DSt index for March 16–18, 2015, analyzes the geomagnetic storm of St Patrick’s Day. Validation compares LIMS with International GNSS Service (IGS), Center for Orbit Determination in Europe (CODE), and International Reference Ionosphere (IRI-2020) estimates, showing strong correlations during various conditions. Daily VTEC patterns reveal the lowest values in the early morning, a midday peak, occasional double peaks, secondary maximum, and post-sunset enhancements, especially during equinoxes. Seasonal analysis highlights the highest mean VTEC in September Equinox and December Solstice, and the lowest during June Solstice. Spectral analysis identifies prominent diurnal, semi-diurnal, and sub-diurnal frequency components. This research significantly advances the understanding of VTEC in Nigeria, offering a valuable tool for precise positioning, satellite communication, and space weather forecasting. Notably, 9 stations processed 2011 data, while one station from this group and an additional station were used for a 3-day storm analysis in 2015 due to data availability.

Background Prediabetes, a reversible condition before the onset of diabetes, is a significant concern in healthcare globally. The global prediabetes epidemic has emerged and has considerably impacted health expenditures. Various risk factors play important roles in the progression of prediabetes to diabetes. Intensive lifestyle and pharmacological interventions can significantly reduce the risk of diabetes progression. Objective This study aimed to determine the prevalence, characteristics, and risk factors of prediabetes state of Medan in August 2023. Methods The sample consisted of 89 participants. This was an analytical cross-sectional study in the community that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The determination of prediabetes is based on the results of blood tests, namely, the examination of fasting blood sugar levels (FBGL), 2-hour postprandial oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), and hemoglobin A1c (HbA1C). Other examinations included lipid profiling (total cholesterol, HDL-C, LDL-C, and triglycerides). Data processing was performed using SPSS via univariate and bivariate analyses (chi-square test). Results Of the 89 participants, the prevalence of prediabetes based on HbA1c, FBGL and 2-hours OGTT levels was 28.1%, 50.6%, and 28.1%, respectively. 82% of the participants were female, and 53.9% were overweight or obese based on body mass index (BMI). The risk factors for prediabetes were age >64 years, female, physical inactivity, and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg ( pp>0.05). Conclusion This study found that the prevalence of prediabetes was 67.4% in Medan. Age >64 years, female, physical inactivity, and diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg were the most important risk factors for prediabetes.

* Background A positive exercise stress test (EST) is common among pilots, and it may indicate a greater risk of coronary artery disease (CAD). This study aimed to determine the incidence of recurrently positive EST and their predictors among civilian pilots in Indonesia. Methods This was a retrospective cohort study among civilian pilots who had the first positive EST test between January 2019 and June 2020 at the Aviation Medical Center, Jakarta. The data were retrieved from medical records. Subjects were included if there were data on subsequent ESTs at 6 and 12 months. Risk factors included total flight hours (TFH) in the last 6 months, license type, aircraft cabin pressurization system, flying limitation such as multicrew, cardiac intervention, age, smoking habit, family history of coronary artery disease, body mass index, blood pressure levels, lipid profile, and fasting blood glucose. Results Eighty-seven pilots were included; 54 of them (62.1%) had recurrent positive ESTs. All subjects were men, and the median age was 51 (range 40-64) years. Independent predictors of recurrent positive ESTs were age 60-65 years (adjusted odds ratio [OR adj]: 5.1, 95% CI: 1.12–23.16, p= 0.035), a TFH of > 275 hours (OR adj 5.1, 95% CI: 1.28–20.65, p= 0.021), and dyslipidemia (OR adj: 4.2 95% CI: 1.468–12.275, p=0.015). Having these three risk factors increased the probability of a recurrent positive EST up to 100%. Conclusion The incidence of recurrently positive ESTs among civilian pilots in Indonesia was high. Airlines may want to implement a more aggressive health policy for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases among their pilots.

Traditionally, the previous writing learning enterprise strictly focused its concern on gaining the fixed results from EFL educators in the form of scores or judgments. However, nowadays writing learning venture gradually abandons this old method to be replaced by formative assessment approach. It is strongly believed by worldwide researchers that the suitable implementation of formative assessment can enable learners to yield better writing qualities, gain more satisfying writing achievements, and foster their writing learning motivation. This present small-scale study was planned to further investigate Indonesian EFL teachers' perceptions on the use of formative assessment in EFL writing. The data gathering processes relied on 5 open-ended written narrative inquiry questions in order to provide more rejuvenating insights for ELT experts and practitioners. These inquiries were distributed to 2 experienced Indonesian EFL teachers holding English Education Master Degree. 2 major specific themes were scientifically obtained namely: (1) Formative assessment can intensively guide learners to improve the quality of their writing and (2) Formative assessment can promote more holistic writing learning venture for all learners. Suggestively, these 2 themes aimed to suggest worldwide ELT parties to exhaustively preparing more authentic formative writing assessment activities for the betterment of future writing learning dynamics.

Analytical questions are the types of questions that can lead students to gain an understanding of a concept and explore reasoning. This research is a descriptive, qualitative study investigating the emergence of analytical questions and their interaction patterns in group discussions facilitated by a scientific approach to learning. The subjects of this study were 30 students aged 14 years with heterogeneous mathematical abilities; they were distributed into five groups. Data were collected through observation with a video recorder as a tool. Method triangulation was carried out for the data validation process. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that in group discussions: (1) observing is the dominant stage in raising analytical questions, (2) students with low mathematical abilities were dominant in triggering the emergence of analytical questions, and (3) dominant interactions occurred between students with low mathematical ability as the questioner and students with high mathematical ability as the answerer.

Metacognitive strategy can bring varied fruitful influential impacts toward academic reading enterprises endured by graduate program university EFL learners. In this small-scale qualitative study, the researcher aimed to profoundly investigate English Education Graduate program Students' perceptions on metacognitive strategy in academic reading. To achieve this research objectivity, this study employed a qualitative content analysis method to obtain more specific portrayals out of the gathered data. 10 online Likert-scale questionnaire items were distributed to 18 English Education Graduate program Students, batch 2019, at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. After obtaining the data, the researcher also planned to make use of 5 open-ended written narrative inquiry questions to be responded to by 3 randomly selected interviewees derived from similar research samplings. Two major-specific themes were revealed namely: (1) Metacognitive strategy has successfully promoted more positive academic reading behaviors and (2) Metacognitive strategy allowed graduate program university EFL learners to achieve more fruitful academic reading outcomes. The main conclusion of these aforementioned findings is the internalization of metacognitive strategy at the beginning of academic reading dynamics is indispensably crucial in which graduate program university EFL learners can potentially transform into more mature, strategic, critical, and proficient L2 academic readers.

Forming and developing a synergy of empowering actors is needed to create jobs, change the economy, and build a microlens, and institutional logic perspective. The synergy of interest actors is the synergistic relationship built by interest actors. Collective resource capabilities can address community problems and expand community opportunities, supporting individual and community empowerment. They form descriptive qualitative research using a single case study approach. The data collection technique was conducted using an observation participative partition, in-depth interview. Validation with the triangulation method involves sources, methods, and objects from field observations. Results show that SBS is a non-formal entrepreneurship school with a vision of creating young entrepreneurs and developing their potential through a culture of synergy. Strategic implementation of collaborative, action group partnerships in SBS occurs through communication activities. The communication model developed is interpersonal and group communication. Interpersonal communication uses local language messages, while polite language is able to touch and respect individual and group self-esteem. Group communication is one of the concepts in understanding behavior. The leadership developed at SBS leads to visionary leadership. Synergy, leadership, and entrepreneurial orientation impact the independence of alumni students in the form of self-confidence, acting freely in running their business.

To better cultivate life-long learning characters within EFL learners, they should be well-trained in activating their utmost self-regulation potentials. By becoming more self-regulated academicians, EFL learners will be more capable of controlling their targeted learning environments, resources, strategies, and time in a better purpose to reach the desired learning outcomes. Concerning this belief, this present qualitative library study was run to exhaustively unearth the crucial role of self-regulation in worldwide EFL learning contexts. To fulfill this main research concern, 30 prior self-regulation studies were conscientiously selected to generate a new enlightenment for globalized ELT educators to nurture their learners' self-regulation growth in varied language learning situations. The obtained major findings unveiled that a higher degree of self-regulation enabled EFL learners to transform into more life-long knowledge seekers fully reaping more fruitful language learning outcomes. For the betterment of this pivotal psychological investigation, a considerable number of self-regulation literature in line with the interconnected nature of other psychological constructs are highly suggestive for future researchers aiming to conduct identical studies.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis cara mewujudkan sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana. Urgensi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan referensi tentang gambaran lingkungan sekolah yang relevan untuk membangun karakter yang sesuai dengan profil pelajar Pancasila. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan. Sumber data dari penelitian ini adalah segala referensi yang berkaitan dengan Tri Hita Karana. Syarat referensi yang digunakan adalah berupa jurnal, makalah, prosiding dan literatur lain baik skala nasional maupun internasional yang terbit dalam kurun waktu 10 (sepuluh) tahun terakhir. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui lima tahapan penelitian mulai dari pengumpulan literatur, seleksi literatur, analisis literature yang terpilih, sintesis dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana dapat diwujudkan dengan cara menerapkan berbagai program pendidikan yang sifatnya rutin dan terencana serta dimulai dari tahapan pembiasaan hingga pembudayaan. Peran keluarga dan masyarakat juga sangat dibutuhkan untuk mensukseskan sekolah berwawasan Tri Hita Karana.

Small ruminant anaplasmosis is a blood-parasitic disease that can cause reproductive and economic problems, especially in Ettawa crossbred. In Indonesia, especially in Central Java Province, the study of this pathogen is still limited. This study examines subclinical anaplasmosis in Ettawa crossbred goats from central Java, Indonesia. Twenty adult goats underwent comprehensive physical and laboratory examinations. The physical exams assessed factors like sex, body temperature, heart rate, respiration, and rumen function. Laboratory testing involved blood smears to detect Anaplasmaspecies and complete blood counts using a hematology analyzer. The results showed that 8 goats were positive for Anaplasma, with 2 samples resembling A. phagocytophilum and 6 resembling A. marginale. Females were more likely to be infected. Infected goats did not exhibit significant changes in vital signs compared to healthy goats. However, infected goats had lower red blood cell counts, hemoglobin, and hematocrit, as well as higher white blood cell counts, indicating subclinical anemia. This is the first study to demonstrate the impact of subclinical Anaplasma infection on Ettawa crossbred goats in this region, highlighting the potential for production losses from this overlooked disease.

The policy-planned development in the new Indonesia Capital City (IKN) area must be accompanied by good planning to ensure the continued availability of forestry ecosystem services, especially forestry areas. These ecosystem services are strongly influenced by their ecological functions. Humans depend on essential ecosystem services to satisfy their inherent needs and enhance or preserve their quality of life. Natural resources are being overused to satisfy these demands, endangering biodiversity and putting more strain on ecosystems. Therefore, a multi-policy approach describes and visualizes the relationships between multi-aspect policies that provide and benefit from forestry ecosystem services. The method used in compiling this paper is multi-policy, part of the prospective analysis method. This method will map and create a model, the best policy scenario that can be applied to achieve the goal of a forest city in the new nation's capital. The results show that the presidential regulation implementation scenario is the best policy choice for the forest city model in the new state capital.

This research aims to empirically test the influence of corporate social responsibility, capital intensity, and executive compensation on tax avoidance in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020. This research was conducted using associative quantitative methods. The research population was 54 companies, and a sample of 18 companies was taken using purposive sampling. The research was conducted at consumer goods sector companies on the IDX for 2016-2020. The type of data used is secondary data obtained from www.idx.co.id. Data was collected with the 2016-2020 annual report and analyzed with SPSS version 26. Tax avoidance in this research uses the Effective Tax Ratio (ETR) measurement. The results of hypothesis testing using t statistics show that corporate social responsibility affects tax avoidance. In contrast, capital intensity does not affect tax avoidance, and executive compensation affects tax avoidance. The test results show that corporate social responsibility, capital intensity, and executive compensation affect tax avoidance in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2020.

The ILO estimates that around 2.3 million people die every year due to work accidents or illnesses. In Indonesia, claims for Work Accident Insurance and Death Benefit increased from 2019 to November 2023, especially in the construction services industry on national strategic projects. During the Lombok Power Plant FTP 2 construction project throughout 2023, has occurred near misses, property damage, first aid and fire were found. Safety performance is a general method for determining the effectiveness and adequacy of work management safety systems. This research aims to analyze the relationship between safety performance and several variables that have been studied previously, including safety knowledge, safety climate, safety motivation and safety behavior in the Lombok Steam Power Plant FTP 2 construction workers. This research uses a quantitative research approach which emphasizes data in the form of numbers and processing it using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The population in this study was 278 Lombok Power Plant FTP 2 Construction workers for the March 2024 period with a sample of 165 workers. The research results show that (1) safety knowledge has a significant effect on safety behavior, (2) safety knowledge has a significant effect on safety performance, (3) safety climate has a significant effect on safety behavior, (4) safety climate has an insignificant effect on safety performance, ( 5) safety motivation has a significant effect on safety behavior, (6) safety motivation has a significant effect on safety performance, and (7) safety behavior has a significant effect on safety performance.

Background: The incorporation of technology into English writing class has prompted the use of computer typing as an alternative writing mode to handwriting. However, previous studies investigating the effect of writing modes on writing quality have delivered conflicting results. Purpose: Considering the increasing prevalence of computers in English writing classes and the time limitation commonly employed by teachers in writing courses, the present study attempts to identify the interaction effect of writing modes and time constraints on EFL students’ writing quality. Method: This study adopted a counterbalanced quantitative design; data were collected from 30 EFL undergraduate students majoring in English Education, using an adapted version of Jacobs’ ESL Composition Profile. All participants were subjected to four writing conditions, based on the combination of typing using a computer or writing by hand and a 30-minute or 60-minute time allotment. Results: The findings of the present study suggest that there is no interaction effect between writing modes and time constraints on writing quality F(1, 116) = .086, p = .770, and despite the higher scores obtained by the essays typed with computer, writing modes have no significant effect on writing quality F(1, 116) = .820, p = .367. Eksperimen merupakan hal yang esensial dalam pembelajaran fisika. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan pemetaan kebutuhan terdapat sekolah-sekolah yang kesulitan menggunakan metode eksperimen karena kurangnya fasilitas eksperimen yang tersedia di sekolah. Pada Program Pengabdian pada Masyrakat ini, tim dari Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika bersinergi dengan mitra yaitu SMA Negeri 8 Surabaya untuk memberikan pendampingan eksperimen fisika khususnya pada materi kelistrikan dan fisika modern untuk peserta didik kelas XII. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi keterbatasan fasilitas eksperimen yang dimiliki sekolah sehingga kualitas pembelajaran fisika menjadi lebih baik. Langkah yang dilalui dalam program ini mencakup pemetaan kebutuhan, penentuan jadwal, persiapan alat dan lembar kerja peserta didik, pendampingan eksperimen, dan evaluasi. Dalam pelaksanaan eksperimen, peserta didik berpartisipasi secara aktif dan antusias. Hasil angket respon peserta didik yang diisi pada akhir kegiatan menunjukkan peserta didik memberikan penilaian yang baik terhadap pelaksanaan program ini. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi untuk memperkaya metode pembelajaran dengan pendekatan berpusat pada peserta didik sehingga sikap dan pandangan peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran fisika menjadi lebih postif.

Waste cooking oil has the potential to be a raw material for biodiesel. The use of heterogeneous catalysts and ultrasonicator will optimize the transesterification and environmentally friendly. Transesterification study of waste cooking oil with SrO-KF nano catalyst has been carried out. This researchs were: refinement of waste cooking oil, synthesis of SrO-KF nano-catalyst, and the transesterification. The catalyst applied ratio of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 of SrO:KF with concentrations of 2%, 3% and 4% by weight of oil respectively. The results of heterogeneous catalyst using XRD and SEM showed that SrF2, SrO and KF compounds had been formed. The optimum transesterification conditions were obtained on SrO-KF catalyst (1:2), concentration of 4% (w/w) with a yield of 84.4% (w/w). The methyl ester of waste cooking oil has density of 884 kg/m3, acid number of 0.48 mg/g, and viscosity of 4.2 cSt. Methyl esters of waste cooking oil were composed of 25.14% methyl palmitate and 33.65% methyl elaidate, 11.27% methyl linoleate, 10.14% methyl lauric and a mixture of methyl esters from waste cooking oil has the potential to be used as biodiesel.

Numerous studies have employed computer vision algorithms to analyze images of concrete damage. Therefore, conducting an image processing survey to detect concrete damage is very crucial. Thus, an image processing algorithm analysis survey to detect concrete damage was conducted using various algorithms and types of data from the last decade. The data observed were the first is damage to concrete, which included surface cracks, hairlines, crack width, patterns, holes, diagonal cracks, longitudinal cracks, and transverse cracks. The second part is figuring out where roads, bridges, and buildings are. The third is data sources like digital cameras, cameras built into phones, camera sensor systems, and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The study's findings indicate that image processing algorithms will play an essential role in future assessment research on the automation of concrete damage detection. This is particularly the case in high-risk regions for security reasons, and UAV technology is required to reach these locations.

The low productivity of upland rice on Podzolic (Ultisol) soil is caused by various constraints including low pH, the content of macronutrient N, P, K, Ca and Mg, BS and CEC were low, solubility and high Al saturation, high P fixation, delicate to erosion and water availability were low. Applied of zeolite synthesized from coal fly ash with high CEC is expected to overcome these constraints. The high negative charge on zeolite contributes to increasing soil absorption of nutrients provided or dissolved from soil minerals and decomposition of organic matter. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design, zeolite fly ash as the treatment consisting of 6 levels (0, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 kg ha-1) each repeated 3 times. The results showed that the application of zeolite fly ash dose 100-300 kg.ha-1 tends increased the plant height, filled grain number per panicle, the percentage of filled grain and 1000 grain weight compared without zeolite application and the highest increased showed in the number of maximum tillers and productive tillers and weight of milled dry grain per clump was obtained at a dose of 200 kg.ha-1 compared without zeolite is 45, 107 and 106% respectively.

This research aims to analyze the form of legal protection provided to doctors in cases of legal disputes in hospitals, especially in the context of work agreements. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, which allows researchers to explore and understand the phenomena that occur in more depth. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, document studies and participant observation. The research results show that legal protection for doctors is greatly influenced by the provisions in the employment agreement between the doctor and the hospital. The conclusion of this research is the need to strengthen legal aspects in employment agreements to ensure doctors receive adequate protection in facing legal disputes.

The goals of investments and economics, such as value creation, profit generation, and other related goals, are strongly correlated. It is critical to recognize that investments may include additional financial, social, and spiritual goals. This research aims to assess investor behavior from internal and external perspectives concerning investing decisions. This study employs the Structural Equation Model (SEM) methodology utilizing the Smart-PLS software. This study's findings demonstrate that qualities including anger, anxiety, overconfidence, and self-monitoring positively influence investment decisions. Herding mitigates the adverse impacts of anger, anxiety, overconfidence, and self-monitoring on investment decisions. This research's consequences can assist investors in circumventing irrational risks and yield more objective findings grounded in thorough study. This tendency can result in inefficient market transactions, asset bubbles, and significant volatility. This study arose as a counter to the conventional understanding of exchange markets predicated on the premise of trader rationality. This research identifies that emotional emotions, risk perception, and cognitive biases frequently affect investment decisions by comprehending human nature.

Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD) memegang peranan penting dalam menggerakkan perekonomian rakyat di Provinsi Bali. Kredit bermasalah menjadi persoalan keuangan yang sering dihadapi LPD, termasuk LPD Desa Adat Kukuh. Kegiatan pelatihan analisis kredit yang didasarkan pada prinsip 5C penting dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan problem tersebut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi sumber daya manusia pengelola LPD, terutama dalam menganalisis proposal kredit. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di LPD Desa Adat Kukuh, Kabupaten Tabanan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode wawancara, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Evaluasi efektivitas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kompetensi peserta sebesar 8,73%. Angka tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan analisis kredit terbukti meningkatkan kompetensi pegawai. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini telah berjalan secara efektif.

Membangun jiwa kewirausahaan merupakan salah satu tujuan yang hendak dicapai pada pendidikan sekolah menengah atas. Jiwa kewirausahaan ini penting untuk menciptakan peserta didik yang produktif, kreatif, dan inovatif. Salah satu keahlian yang harus dikuasai oleh seorang wirausaha muda adalah pengelolaan keuangan usaha. Namun sayangnya banyak wirausaha muda yang tidak memiliki keahlian ini, termasuk wirausaha muda di SMAN 1 Petang. Digitalisasi dalam pengelolaan keuangan dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan transparansi dalam pengelolaan keuangan usaha. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi siswa-siswi di SMAN 1 Petang ini untuk melengkapi ilmu terkait kewirausahaannya dengan pengelolaan keuangan usaha. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk membekali para wirausaha muda di SMAN 1 Petang dengan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan usaha dengan memanfaatkan teknologi terkini. Kegiatan pengabdian dilangsungkan pada bulan April 2024 dengan melibatkan 37 orang wirausahamuda yang tergabung dalam ekstrakurikuler kewirausahaan. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah para wirausaha muda ini telah memiliki pemahaman tentang perhitungan harga pokok produk serta pencatatan dan pengelolaan keuangan usaha dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Buku Warung. Dengan keterampilan pengelolaan keuangan yang telah dikuasai akan membantu wirausaha muda untuk mengelola dan mengembangkan usahanya dengan lebih baik.

Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi dalam skala global. Kejadian IMS melebihi 1 juta kasus setiap harinya yang menyoroti dampak luas dari infeksi ini. Dampak IMS dapat melampaui dampak langsung dari infeksi itu sendiri yang dapat menyebabkan konsekuensi serius. Angka kesakitan dan kematian akibat Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) sangat tinggi di kawasan Asia Tenggara. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya peningkatan kesadaran mengenai kesehatan seksual dan reproduksi ibu, bayi baru lahir, dan anak. Menyoroti situasi saat ini, perlu dilakukan langkah-langkah segera untuk memposisikan pengendalian IMS sebagai prioritas kesehatan masyarakat. Metode pengabdian masyarakat terdiri dari pre-test, edukasi, dan post-test. Pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di tempat karaoke Kota Langgur, Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara memberikan dampak positif dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pada peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan mengenai infeksi menular seksual. Secara keseluruhan pengetahuan mengenai infeksi menular seksual dan HIV/AIDS pada karyawan karaoke sudah cukup baik, terlihat dari peningkatan hasil post-test. Selain itu, peserta yang positif terinfeksi penyakit menular seksual diharapkan dapat diobati sesuai standar operasional yang berlaku.

OBJECTIVES:. Anemia has been associated with an increased risk of both cardiac arrest and stroke, frequent complications of COVID-19. The effect of hemoglobin level at ICU admission on a composite outcome of cardiac arrest or stroke in an international cohort of COVID-19 patients was investigated. DESIGN:. Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected database. SETTING:. A registry of COVID-19 patients admitted to ICUs at over 370 international sites was reviewed for patients diagnosed with cardiac arrest or stroke up to 30 days after ICU admission. Anemia was defined as: normal (hemoglobin ≥ 12.0 g/dL for women, ≥ 13.5 g/dL for men), mild (hemoglobin 10.0–11.9 g/dL for women, 10.0–13.4 g/dL for men), moderate (hemoglobin ≥ 8.0 and < 10.0 g/dL for women and men), and severe (hemoglobin < 8.0 g/dL for women and men). PATIENTS:. Patients older than 18 years with acute COVID-19 infection in the ICU. INTERVENTIONS:. None. MEASUREMENTS AND MAIN RESULTS:. Of 6926 patients (median age = 59 yr, male = 65%), 760 patients (11.0%) experienced stroke (2.0%) and/or cardiac arrest (9.4%). Cardiac arrest or stroke was more common in patients with low hemoglobin, occurring in 12.8% of patients with normal hemoglobin, 13.3% of patients with mild anemia, and 16.7% of patients with moderate/severe anemia. Time to stroke or cardiac arrest by anemia status was analyzed using Cox proportional hazards regression with death as a competing risk. Covariates selected through clinical knowledge were age, sex, comorbidities (diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and cardiac or neurologic conditions), pandemic era, country income, mechanical ventilation, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Moderate/severe anemia was associated with a higher risk of cardiac arrest or stroke (hazard ratio, 1.32; 95% CI, 1.05–1.67). CONCLUSIONS:. In an international registry of ICU patients with COVID-19, moderate/severe anemia was associated with increased hazard of cardiac arrest or stroke.

Steel poles are extensively used as street light posts and various other applications within the power distribution network. For partially buried pole, the effect of corrosion below and at the ground level significantly controls the overall load capacity. In this study, number of in-service steel pole specimens extracted from field were assessed for the corrosion damage. The level of corrosion was estimated by remaining wall thickness measured using ultrasonic testing and the surface corrosion was estimated using 3D laser scanning to adopt an appropriate existing model for buried steel structures. A relationship between maximum and average corrosion pit depth and loss of embedment depth was then developed. Finally, the corrosion parameters, combined with uncertainty in loading and soil properties were employed to perform time-dependent reliability assessment for steel light poles which can be used to assist the asset maintenance team in planning the replacement or strengthening works for steel pole.

Introduction: Regular intake of dietary fiber (DF) can counteract the negative impacts of obesity on physical health and chronic disease risk. DF mitigates obesity by promoting fullness, reducing calories, slowing nutrient absorption, stabilizing glucose, preventing fat storage, and influencing gut microbiota. High-performance (HP) inulin, a highly fermentable water-soluble DF, shows promise, but its palatability is limited in powder form. Combining HP inulin with beneficial triglycerides like Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) could overcome this issue. Aim of study: This study investigates the effects of HP inulin-MCT on lipid metabolism and immune modulation in high-fat high-sucrose (HFHS) diet-induced obese mice. Methods: Obese mice were orally administered with 20 % (w/v) HP inulin-MCT ad-libitum for 30 days. We measured their peripheral blood lipid profile, including LDL, HDL, and triglycerides. Additionally, the atherogenic coefficient, a parameter for assessing cardiovascular disease risk, was determined by calculating the ratio of non-HDL-C to HDL-C. Flow cytometry was used to identify splenic regulatory CD4 + and CD8 + T cells (Tregs). The Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis Score was assessed through histological examination. Results: Significant reduced body mass index, improved lipid profiles, and reduced cardiovascular disease risk were observed in the obese mice treated with HP inulin-MCT. Moreover, HP inulin-MCT appeared to ameliorate non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, a liver condition associated with obesity. These health improvements were linked to immune system modulation, associated with an increase of CD4+ T-regulatory cells after HP inulin-MCT supplementation. Conclusion: HP inulin-MCT is a promising and palatable dietary intervention to combat obesity-related noncommunicable diseases, offering the potential for better overall health outcomes.
