In this paper, we calculate the $B_c\to J/\psi$ helicity form factors (HFFs) up to twist-4 accuracy by using the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) approach. After extrapolating those HFFs to the physically allowable $q^2$ region, we investigate the $B^+_c$-meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ \to J/\psi+(P, V, \ell^+ \nu_\ell)$ with $P/V$ stands for light pseudoscalar/vector meson, respectively. The branching fractions can be derived by using the CKM matrix element and the $B_c$ lifetime from the Particle Data Group, and we obtain ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \pi^+)=(0.136^{+0.002}_{-0.002})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi K^+)=(0.010^{+0.000}_{-0.000})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \rho^+) =(0.768^{+0.029}_{-0.033})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi K^{\ast +})=(0.043^{+0.001}_{-0.001})\%$, ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \mu^+\nu_\mu)=(2.802^{+0.526}_{-0.675})\%$ and ${\cal B}(B_c^+ \to J/\psi \tau^+\nu_\tau)=(0.559^{+0.131}_{-0.170})\%$. We then obtain ${\cal R}_{\pi^+/\mu^+\nu_\mu} = 0.048^{+ 0.009}_{-0.012}$ and ${\cal R}_{K^+ / \pi^+} = 0.075^{+0.005}_{-0.005}$, which agree with the LHCb measured value within $1\sigma$-error. We also obtain ${\cal R}_{J/\psi}=0.199^{+ 0.060}_{-0.077}$, which like other theoretical predictions, is consistent with the LHCb measured value within $2\sigma$-error. Those imply that the HFFs under the LCSR approach are also applicable to the $B^+_c$ meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays $B_c^+ \to J/\psi+(P, V, \ell^+ \nu_\ell)$, and the HFFs obtained by using LCSR in a new way implies that there may be new physics in the $B_c\to J/\psi \ell^+ \nu_\ell$ semi-leptonic decays., Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures, published version

In the paper, we investigate the moments $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;n}\rangle$ of the axial-vector $a_1(1260)$-meson distribution amplitude by using the QCD sum rules approach under the background field theory. By considering the vacuum condensates up to dimension-six and the perturbative part up to next-to-leading order QCD corrections, its first five moments at an initial scale $\mu_0=1~{\rm GeV}$ are $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;2}\rangle|_{\mu_0} = 0.223 \pm 0.029$, $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;4}\rangle|_{\mu_0} = 0.098 \pm 0.008$, $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;6}\rangle|_{\mu_0} = 0.056 \pm 0.006$, $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;8}\rangle|_{\mu_0} = 0.039 \pm 0.004$ and $\langle\xi_{2;a_1}^{\|;10}\rangle|_{\mu_0} = 0.028 \pm 0.003$, respectively. We then construct a light-cone harmonic oscillator model for $a_1(1260)$-meson longitudinal twist-2 distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;a_1}^{\|}(x,\mu)$, whose model parameters are fitted by using the least squares method. As an application of $\phi_{2;a_1}^{\|}(x,\mu)$, we calculate the transition form factors (TFFs) of $D\to a_1(1260)$ in large and intermediate momentum transfers by using the QCD light-cone sum rules approach. At the largest recoil point ($q^2=0$), we obtain $ A(0) = 0.130_{ - 0.013}^{ + 0.015}$, $V_1(0) = 1.898_{-0.121}^{+0.128}$, $V_2(0) = 0.228_{-0.021}^{ + 0.020}$, and $V_0(0) = 0.217_{ - 0.025}^{ + 0.023}$. By applying the extrapolated TFFs to the semi-leptonic decay $D^{0(+)} \to a_1^{-(0)}(1260)\ell^+\nu_\ell$, we obtain ${\cal B}(D^0\to a_1^-(1260) e^+\nu_e) = (5.261_{-0.639}^{+0.745}) \times 10^{-5}$, ${\cal B}(D^+\to a_1^0(1260) e^+\nu_e) = (6.673_{-0.811}^{+0.947}) \times 10^{-5}$, ${\cal B}(D^0\to a_1^-(1260) \mu^+ \nu_\mu)=(4.732_{-0.590}^{+0.685}) \times 10^{-5}$, ${\cal B}(D^+ \to a_1^0(1260) \mu^+ \nu_\mu)=(6.002_{-0.748}^{+0.796}) \times 10^{-5}$., Comment: 13 pages, 4 figures, version published in EPJC

In the paper, we calculate the fragmentation functions for $c \to \eta_c$ and $b \to \eta_b$ up to next-to-leading-order (NLO) QCD accuracy. The ultraviolet divergences in the real corrections are removed through operator renormalization under the modified minimal subtraction scheme. We then obtain the fragmentation functions $D_{c \to \eta_c}(z,\mu_F)$ and $D_{b \to \eta_b}(z,\mu_F)$ up to NLO QCD accuracy, which are presented as figures and fitting functions. The numerical results show that the NLO corrections are significant. The sensitives of the fragmentation functions to the renormalization scale and the factorization scale are analyzed explicitly., Comment: 18 pages, 7 figures

In this paper, we present a new analysis on the $P$-wave charmonium annihilation into two photons up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD corrections by using the principle of maximum conformality (PMC). The conventional perturbative QCD prediction shows strong scale dependence and deviates largely from the BESIII measurements. After applying the PMC, we obtain a more precise scale-invariant pQCD prediction, which also agrees with the BESIII measurements within errors, i.e. $R={\Gamma_{\gamma\gamma}(\chi_{c2})} /{\Gamma_{\gamma\gamma}(\chi_{c0})}=0.246\pm0.013$, where the error is for $\Delta\alpha_s(M_\tau)=\pm0.016$. By further considering the color-octet contributions, even the central value can be in agreement with the data. This shows the importance of a correct scale-setting approach. We also give a prediction for the ratio involving $\chi_{b0, b2} \to\gamma\gamma$, which could be tested in future Belle II experiment.

It has been observed that conventional renormalization scheme and scale ambiguities for the pQCD predictions can be eliminated by using the principle of maximum conformality (PMC). However, being the intrinsic nature of any perturbative theory, there are still two types of residual scale dependences due to uncalculated higher-order terms. In the paper, as a step forward of our previous work [Phys.Rev.D {\bf 89},116001(2014)], we reanalyze the electroweak $\rho$ parameter by using the PMC single-scale approach. Using the PMC conformal series and the Pad$\acute{e}$ approximation approach, we observe that the residual scale dependence can be greatly suppressed and then a more precise pQCD prediction up to ${\rm N^4LO}$-level can be achieved, e.g. $\Delta\rho|_{\rm PMC}\simeq(8.204\pm0.012)\times10^{-3}$, where the errors are squared averages of those from unknown higher-order terms and $\Delta\alpha_s(M_Z)=\pm 0.0010$. We then predict the magnitudes of the shifts of the $W$-boson mass and the effective leptonic weak-mixing angle: $\delta M_{W}|_{\rm N^4LO} =-0.26$ MeV and $\delta \sin^2{\theta}_{\rm eff}|_{\rm N^4LO}=0.14\times10^{-5}$, which are well below the precision anticipated for the future electron-position colliders such as FCC, CEPC and ILC. We propose and study a method of optical crosstalk suppression for silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) using optical filters. We demonstrate that attaching absorptive visible bandpass filters to the SiPM can substantially reduce the optical crosstalk. Measurements suggest that the absorption of near infrared light is important to achieve this suppression. The proposed technique can be easily applied to suppress the optical crosstalk in SiPMs in cases where filtering near infrared light is compatible with the application.

Considered in this paper is the generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation with high order nonlinearity, which unifies the Camassa-Holm and Novikov equations as special cases. We show that the solution map of generalized Camassa-Holm-Novikov equation is not uniformly continuous on the initial data in Besov spaces $B_{p, r}^s(\mathbb{R})$ with $s>\max\{1+\frac{1}{p}, \frac{3}{2}\}$, $1\leq p, r< \infty$ as well as in critical space $B_{2, 1}^{\frac{3}{2}}(\mathbb{R}).$ Our result covers and improves the previous work given by Li et al. \cite{Li 2020, 1Li 2020, Li 2021}(J. Differ. Equ. 269 (2020) 8686-8700; J. Math. Fluid Mech. 22 (2020) 4:50; J. Math. Fluid Mech., (2021) 23:36).

We investigate the theoretical predictions for thrust distribution in the electron positron annihilation to three-jets process at NNLO for different values of the number of flavors, $N_f$. To determine the distribution along the entire renormalization group flow from the highest energies to zero energy we consider the number of flavors near the upper boundary of the conformal window. In this regime of number of flavors the theory develops a perturbative infrared interacting fixed point. We then consider also the QED thrust obtained as the limit $N_c \rightarrow 0$ of the number of colors. In this case the low energy limit is governed by an infrared free theory. Using these quantum field theories limits as theoretical laboratories we arrive at an interesting comparison between the Conventional Scale Setting - (CSS) and the Principle of Maximum Conformality (PMC$_\infty$) methods. We show that within the perturbative regime of the conformal window and also out of the conformal window the PMC$_\infty$ leads to a higher precision, and that reducing the number of flavors, from the upper boundary to the lower boundary, through the phase transition the curves given by the PMC$_\infty$ method preserve with continuity the position of the peak, showing perfect agreement with the experimental data already at NNLO., Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures

In the paper, the inclusive production of heavy quarkonium $\eta_Q$ ($Q=b$ or $c$) via $Z$ boson decays within the framework of nonrelativistic QCD effective theory are studied. The contributions from the leading color-singlet and color-octet Fock states are considered. Total and differential decay widths for the inclusive decays $Z \to \eta_Q+X$ are presented. It is found that the decays $Z\to \eta_Q +X$ are dominated by the $^3S_1^{[8]}$ component, so the decays can be inversely adopted to determine the values of the long-distance matrix elements $\langle {\cal O}^{\eta_{c}}(^{3}S_{1}^{[8]})\rangle$ and $\langle {\cal O}^{\eta_{b}}(^{3}S_{1}^{[8]})\rangle$, respectively. Our numerical results show that at an $e^+e^-$ collider running at the $Z$ pole with a high luminosity around $10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ (a super $Z$ factory), there are about $4.5\times 10^7$ $\eta_c$ meson events and $6.1\times 10^5$ $\eta_b$ meson events to be produced per operation year, and the inclusive decays may be used for clarifying some problems on the heavy quarkonium $\eta_Q$ and nonrelativistic QCD., Comment: 13 pages, 11 figures

We make a detailed study on the $D_s$ meson leading-twist LCDA $\phi_{2;D_s}$ by using the QCD sum rules within the framework of the background field theory. To improve the precision, its moments $\langle \xi^n\rangle _{2;D_s}$ are calculated up to dimension-six condensates. At the scale $\mu = 2{\rm GeV}$, we obtain: $\langle \xi^1\rangle _{2;D_s}= -0.261^{+0.020}_{-0.020}$, $\langle \xi^2\rangle _{2;D_s} = 0.184^{+0.012}_{-0.012}$, $\langle \xi^3\rangle _{2;D_s} = -0.111 ^{+0.007}_{-0.012}$ and $\langle \xi^4\rangle _{2;D_s} = 0.075^{+0.005}_{-0.005}$. Using those moments, the $\phi_{2;D_s}$ is then constructed by using the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. As an application, we calculate the transition form factor $f^{B_s\to D_s}_+(q^2)$ within the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) approach by using a right-handed chiral current, in which the terms involving $\phi_{2;D_s}$ dominates the LCSR. It is noted that the extrapolated $f^{B_s\to D_s}_+(q^2)$ agrees with the Lattice QCD prediction. After extrapolating the transition form factor to the physically allowable $q^2$-region, we calculate the branching ratio and the CKM matrix element, which give $\mathcal{B}(\bar B_s^0 \to D_s^+ \ell\nu_\ell) = (2.03^{+0.35}_{-0.49}) \times 10^{-2}$ and $|V_{cb}|=(40.00_{-4.08}^{+4.93})\times 10^{-3}$.

In the present paper, we first give a detailed study on the pQCD corrections to the leading-twist part of BSR. Previous pQCD corrections to the leading-twist part derived under conventional scale-setting approach up to ${\cal O}(\alpha_s^4)$-level still show strong renormalization scale dependence. The principle of maximum conformality (PMC) provides a systematic way to eliminate conventional renormalization scale-setting ambiguity by determining the accurate $\alpha_s$-running behavior of the process with the help of renormalization group equation. Our calculation confirms the PMC prediction satisfies the standard renormalization group invariance, e.g. its fixed-order prediction does scheme-and-scale independent. In low $Q^2$-region, the effective momentum of the process is small and to have a reliable prediction, we adopt four low-energy $\alpha_s$ models to do the analysis. Our predictions show that even though the high-twist terms are generally power suppressed in high $Q^2$-region, they shall have sizable contributions in low and intermediate $Q^2$ domain. By using the more accurate scheme-and-scale independent pQCD prediction, we present a novel fit of the non-perturbative high-twist contributions by comparing with the JLab data., Comment: 14 pages,14 figures

In this paper, we make a detailed discussion on the $\eta$ and $\eta'$-meson leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;\eta^{(\prime)}}(u,\mu)$ by using QCD sum rules approach under the background field theory. Taking both the non-perturbative condensates up to dimension-six and NLO QCD corrections to the perturbative part, its first three moments $\langle\xi^n_{2;\eta^{(\prime)}}\rangle|_{\mu_0} $ with $n = (2,4,6)$ at initial scale $\mu_0 = 1$ GeV can be determined. e.g. $\langle\xi_{2;\eta}^2\rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.231_{-0.013}^{+0.010}$, $\langle\xi_{2;\eta}^4 \rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.109_{-0.007}^{+0.007}$, and $\langle\xi_{2;\eta}^6 \rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.066_{-0.006}^{+0.006}$ for $\eta$-meson, $\langle\xi_{2;\eta'}^2\rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.211_{-0.017}^{+0.015}$, $\langle\xi_{2;\eta'}^4 \rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.093_{-0.009}^{+0.009}$, and $\langle\xi_{2;\eta'}^6 \rangle|_{\mu_0} =0.054_{-0.008}^{+0.008}$ for $\eta'$-meson. Next, we calculate $D_s\to\eta^{(\prime)}$ TFFs $f^{\eta^{(\prime)}}_+(q^2)$ within QCD light-cone sum rules approach up to NLO level. The values at large recoil region are $f^{\eta}_+(0) = 0.476_{-0.036}^{+0.040}$ and $f^{\eta'}_+(0) = 0.544_{-0.042}^{+0.046}$. After extrapolating TFFs to the allowable physical regions within the series expansion, we obtain the branching fractions of the semi-leptonic decay, i.e. $D_s^+\to\eta^{(\prime)}\ell^+ \nu_\ell$, i.e. ${\cal B}(D_s^+\to\eta^{(\prime)} e^+\nu_e)=2.346_{-0.331}^{+0.418}(0.792_{-0.118}^{+0.141})\times10^{-2}$ and ${\cal B}(D_s^+\to\eta^{(\prime)} \mu^+\nu_\mu)=2.320_{-0.327}^{+0.413}(0.773_{-0.115}^{+0.138})\times10^{-2}$ for $\ell = (e, \mu)$ channels respectively. And in addition to that, the mixing angle for $\eta-\eta'$ with $\varphi$ and ratio for the different decay channels ${\cal R}_{\eta'/\eta}^\ell$ are given, which show good agreement with the recent BESIII measurements., Comment: 52 pages, 11 figures, version to be published in EPJC
