232. Research on China's Strategic Response to the Evolving Trend of New Events in the Modern Summer Olympics.

Abstract

The Summer Olympics are the foremost sports event in the world, playing a crucial role in the national sports development strategy. The setting of Olympic events holds the key to the Olympic events. Through different stages of Olympic development, China has a relatively clear project layout and development strategy. In the new era, the dynamic changes in Olympic events are more frequent, and new trends have emerged. With the new trend of sports evolution, our strategic response needs to be adjusted in time to ensure timely and scientific project layout to continuously elevate the level of Olympic competition. This paper adopts the methods such as literature review, historical logic analysis, and mathematical statistics. Based on related theories in sociology and training, etc., it conducts an in-depth analysis and exploration of China's coping strategies in light of the evolving trend in Olympic events. The research believes that: 1) The strategic layout of China's Olympic events has laid a solid foundation for the achievement of the previous Olympic competition, and it is necessary to maintain strategic success; 2) Today, with the accelerated dynamic changes in Olympic sports, the cluster development of China's advantageous sports is facing new risks. It is essential to systematically deploy Olympic sports, expand the scope of gold winning, and improve the ability to deal with the risk of shrinking changes in Olympic sports; 3) People are expected to face up to the training characteristics of some emerging sports that differ from traditional sports, increase innovative research on training theory, and improve the practical guidance of training theory. 4) With the gradual integration of burgeoning events, urbanization events, and non-traditional high-tech events into the Olympic Games, China's traditional army regiment and systematized training model also needs to be fine-tuned to cope with the organizational management and training arrangements of emerging events. Abstract

We demonstrate Ge0.95Sn0.05 p-channel gate-all-around field-effect transistors (p-GAAFETs) with sub-3 nm nanowire width (WNW) on a GeSn-on-insulator (GeSnOI) substrate using a top-down fabrication process. Thanks to the excellent gate control by employing an aggressively scaled nanowire structure, Ge0.95Sn0.05 p-GAAFETs exhibit a small subthreshold swing (SS) of 66 mV/decade, a decent on-current/off-current (ION/IOFF) ratio of ∼1.2 × 106, and a high-field effective hole mobility (μeff) of ∼115 cm2/(V s). In addition, we also investigate quantum confinement effects in extremely scaled GeSn nanowires, including threshold voltage (VTH) shift and IOFF reduction with continuous scaling of WNW under 10 nm. The phenomena observed from experimental results are substantiated by the calculation of GeSn bandgap and TCAD simulation of electrical characteristics of devices with sub-10 nm WNW. This study suggests Ge-based nanowire p-FETs with extremely scaled dimension hold promise to deliver good performance to enable further scaling for future technology nodes. Abstract

The immune protective mechanisms during severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) infection remain to be deciphered for the development of an effective intervention approach.We examined early responses of interleukin 37 (IL-37), a powerful anti-inflammatory cytokine, in 254 SARS-CoV-2-infected patients before any clinical intervention and determined its correlation with clinical prognosis.Our results demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 infection causes elevation of plasma IL-37. Higher early IL-37 responses were correlated with earlier viral RNA negative conversion, chest computed tomographic improvement, and cough relief, consequently resulted in earlier hospital discharge. Further assays showed that higher IL-37 was associated with lower interleukin 6 and interleukin 8 (IL-8) and higher interferon α responses and facilitated biochemical homeostasis. Low IL-37 responses predicted severe clinical prognosis in combination with IL-8 and C-reactive protein. In addition, we observed that IL-37 administration was able to attenuate lung inflammation and alleviate respiratory tissue damage in human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2-transgenic mice infected with SARS-CoV-2.Overall, we found that IL-37 plays a protective role by antagonizing inflammatory responses while retaining type I interferon, thereby maintaining the functionalities of vital organs. IL-37, IL-8, and C-reactive protein might be formulated as a precise prediction model for screening severe clinical cases and have good value in clinical practice.
