Jasmonates accumulate rapidly and act as key regulators in response to mechanical wounding, but few studies have linked receptor-like cytoplasmic kinases (RLCKs) to wound-induced jasmonic acid (JA) signaling cascades. Here, we identified a novel wounding-induced RLCK-XII-2 subfamily member (SlZRK1) in tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) that was closely related to Arabidopsis HOPZ-ETI-DEFICIENT 1 (ZED1)-related kinases 1 based on phylogenetic analysis. SlZRK1 was targeted to the plasma membrane of tobacco mesophyll protoplasts as determined by transient co-expression with the plasma membrane marker mCherry–H+-ATPase. Catalytic residue sequence analysis and an in vitro kinase assay indicated that SlZRK1 may act as a pseudokinase. To further analyse the function of SlZRK1, we developed two stable knock-out mutants by CRISPR/Cas9. Loss of SlZRK1 significantly altered the expression of genes involved in JA biosynthesis, salicylic acid biosynthesis, and ethylene response. Furthermore, after mechanical wounding treatment, slzrk1 mutants increased transcription of early wound-inducible genes involved in JA biosynthesis and signaling. In addition, JA accumulation after wounding and plant resistance to herbivorous insects also were enhanced. An in-house large eddy simulation (LES) code based on three-dimensional compressible N-S equations is used to research the impact of incoming wakes on unsteady evolution characteristic in a low-pressure turbine (LPT) cascade. The Mach number is 0.4 and Reynolds number is 0.6 × 105 (based on the axial chord and outlet velocity). The reduced frequency of incoming wakes is Fred = 0 (without wakes), 0.37 and 0.74. A detailed analysis of Reynolds stresses and turbulent kinetic energy inside the boundary layer has been carried out. Particular consideration is devoted to the transport process of incoming wakes and the intermittent property of the unsteady boundary layer. With the increase of reduced frequency, the inhibiting effect of wakes on boundary layer separation gradually enhances. The separation at the rear part of the suction side is weakened and the separation point moves downstream. However, incoming wakes lead to an increase in dissipation and aerodynamic losses in the main flow area. Excessive reduced frequency (Fred = 0.74) causes the main flow area to become one of the main source areas of loss. Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of monthly and pro re nata (PRN, guided by visual acuity stabilization and disease activity criteria) ranibizumab regimens in Chinese patients with neovascular age‐related macular degeneration (nAMD) and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). Methods: This double‐masked study randomized nAMD patients (1:1) to ranibizumab monthly from baseline to Month (M) 11 to a PRN regimen from M12 to M23 (monthly group, n = 167) versus ranibizumab three monthly doses followed by a PRN regimen up to M23 (PRN group, n = 166). Subgroups were assessed based on the presence/absence of PCV (indicated by indocyanine green angiography). Results: Of 334 randomized patients, 41.7% had PCV at baseline. Mean average best‐corrected visual acuity (BCVA) change from M3 to M4 through M12 was 3.3 letters with monthly and 1.7 letters with PRN (mean difference: 1.6; 95% CI: −2.95, −0.20, primary end‐point). Mean change in BCVA from baseline (monthly/PRN, 53.8/53.7) to M12 and M24 was 12.3 and 11.3 letters in monthly and 9.6 and 9.3 letters in PRN group. Corresponding values for patients with PCV/without PCV were 12.7/12.1 letters (M12) and 12.3/10.6 letters (M24) in monthly and 9.4/9.4 letters (M12) and 9.7/8.7 letters (M24) in PRN groups. The mean number of injections was 11.4 (monthly) and 8.2 (PRN) from Day 1 to M11 and 4.8 (monthly) and 5.0 (PRN) from M12 to M23. No new safety findings were reported. Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) of the stomach are the most common GISTs. The risk, incidence, and outcome of cancer are different between the sexes. Whether gender is related to the prognosis of gastric stromal tumors is unclear. Therefore, this study aims to explore the relationship between gender and gastric GIST prognosis. Methods: Data from gastric GIST patients were collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Propensity score matching (PSM) was performed to reduce confounding factors, and the clinicopathological features and prognosis of GIST patients were comprehensively evaluated. Results: There were 512 male patients and 538 female patients with gastric GIST. The gender of gastric GIST patients was associated with marital status, surgical treatment, tumor size, and mitotic index (P < 0.05). The Kaplan-Meier analysis and log-rank test revealed that male patients had a higher mortality rate than female patients (P = 0.0024). After matching all the potential confounding factors, the survival of the female gastric GIST patients was better than that of the male gastric GIST patients (P = 0.042). Cox regression analysis revealed that gender was an independent risk factor for overall survival. The risk of death was higher for males than for females (HR 1.677, 95% CI 1.150–2.444, P = 0.007). Tip geometry modification is frequently used to suppress the tip leakage flow in the turbine cascade however a universally beneficial tip geometry modification design has not been fully discovered. In this paper, the two-surface coupling arbitrary blade tip design method in three-dimensional physical space which satisfies the simple trigonometric function law is proposed and the mathematical parametric description is presented. The effects of different arbitrary blade tips on tip leakage flow have been studied numerically in a highly loaded axial turbine cascade. The aerodynamic performance of different tips is assessed by the tip leakage mass flow rate and the total pressure loss coefficient at the exit section. The Kriging model and genetic optimization algorithm are used to optimize the arbitrary blade tips to obtain the optimal arbitrary blade tip. Compared with the flat tip, the tip leakage mass flow rate is decreased by 10.57% and the area-average total pressure loss coefficient at the exit section is reduced by 8.91% in the optimal arbitrary blade tip.
