There is little research about using information technologies in music education. The issue of comparing the approach to music education based on modern technologies with the traditional approach is of particular interest. Thus, the purpose of the study is to compare the effectiveness of music education based on modern technologies with the traditional approach to learning music. The study was conducted at Lishui Music School. The level of musical skills and abilities of music school students was assessed for the period of 1.5 years. The study involved children aged 5-6 years who had no prior musical experience. The control and study groups consisted of twenty-four children each. The children learned to play the piano and solfeggio. The study group trained in accordance with the New way of Music program. The control group followed the traditional curriculum. At the end of the study, there was an exam. The students performed program pieces corresponding to the study period. The expert committee evaluated the following performance parameters: the number of errors in the reproduction of the musical text, the performance rhythm, the artistic expressiveness of the performance, continuous and complete performance, the performance dynamics, mastery of strokes, as well as positioning of the body and hands during the performance. Except for the last parameter, the study group performed better than the control group. The results obtained justify further expanded studies of the New way of Music program to be subsequently widely introduced in music schools.

PurposeA reduced acquisition time positively impacts the patient's comfort and the PET scanner's throughput. AI methods may allow for reducing PET acquisition time without sacrificing image quality. The study aims to compare various neural networks to find the best models for PET denoising.MethodsOur experiments consider 212 studies (56,908 images) for 7MBq/kg injected activity and evaluate the models using 2D (RMSE, SSIM) and 3D (SUVpeak and SUVmax error for the regions of interest) metrics. We tested 2D and 2.5D ResNet, Unet, SwinIR, 3D MedNeXt, and 3D UX-Net. We have also compared supervised methods with the unsupervised CycleGAN approach.Results and conclusionThe best model for PET denoising is 3D MedNeXt. It improved SSIM on 38.2% and RMSE on 28.1% in 30-s PET denoising and on 16.9% and 11.4% in 60-s PET denoising when compared to the original 90-s PET reducing at the same time SUVmax discrepancy dispersion.

IntroductionThis study investigates the relationship between science learning self-efficacy and science identity, examining how gender and science success moderate this relationship.MethodsUsing a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling, data from high school students in Moscow, Almetyevsk, Khabarovsk cities from Russia were analyzed.ResultsThe research highlights the significant positive impact of integrative science competence, practical science application, and science communication efficacy on science identity. Interestingly, gender did not significantly influence the efficacy-identity relationship, suggesting its minimal role in this context. Conversely, science success, particularly in conjunction with science communication efficacy, played a notable role, indicating a complex interplay that could affect students’ science identity.DiscussionThese findings emphasize the need for educational strategies that bolster students’ self-efficacy in science, catering to the development of a strong science identity. Future research should explore the nuanced effects of success and communication efficacy on science identity, aiming to inform interventions that support diverse and equitable participation in science education and careers.

IntroductionResearch on adolescents’ academic performance has mostly focused on the contribution of objective factors, such as socioeconomic situation of the family or individual cognitive skills and school results. Evidence with a focus on adolescents’ subjective experiences is scarce. The aim of this qualitative study was to explore factors related to adolescents’ academic performance from their perspectives.MethodsWe used data from 11 group semi-structured interviews conducted in 2020/2021 with 45 adolescents in the first year of high school in Slovakia (mean age = 14.98; 22.2% boys). Participants were selected from three types of high school with regards to the graduation system. We analysed the data using consensual qualitative research and thematic analysis.ResultsBased on the statements of the adolescents, we identified five main themes of factors that affect their academic performance. Adolescents reported that the following contribute to their academic performance: the contents and methods of teaching; how teachers behave and do their jobs; the way in which adolescents study and what motivates them; support within and outside the school, and the environment and appearance of the school. Adolescents reported that improving the curricula and using teaching methods that balance theoretical information with practical skills training would help their academic performance immensely.ConclusionWe identified several factors related to adolescents’ academic performance using their own perspectives and experiences. Strengthening the capacities of teachers may largely benefit adolescents’ educational process and further academic performance.

This study investigates the application of game theory and matrix-based analysis in enhancing social media marketing strategies for e-commerce businesses. By integrating these mathematical models with social media analytics, aim to provide a comprehensive framework that can predict consumer behavior, optimize competitive strategies, and improve engagement on digital platforms. This study's application of a game theory matrix model on social media marketing strategies showcased clear benefits for e-commerce entities, with aggressive marketing tactics boosting market share by 30% against passive competitors and achieving a 20% increase even when competitors also adopted aggressive approaches. The Nash Equilibrium emphasize the balanced market share gains when both firms engaged in aggressive strategies. Statistical analysis reinforced the efficacy of these strategies, with a chi-square test yielding a significant value of 13.4, suggesting a strong link between aggressive marketing and enhanced engagement metrics. Regression analysis further validated the impact of engagement on sales, indicating that a 1% increase in likes, comments, and shares corresponded to a 0.75% uplift in sales, evidenced by significant predictors with β values of 0.25, 0.35, and 0.40 for likes, comments, and shares respectively. Content analysis and consumer surveys highlighted a preference for authentic, value-aligned content, with aggressive strategies leading to a 50% higher engagement rate and a 60% consumer preference for such content, emphasizing the critical role of strategic alignment with consumer expectations. Incorporating game theory and matrix-based analysis into e-commerce social media strategies offers a novel approach to understanding and leveraging the complex interplay of consumer interactions and competitive dynamics. This methodology enables marketers to devise more targeted, adaptive, and effective marketing campaigns, driving growth and enhancing consumer satisfaction in the competitive digital marketplace.

Background: Cystathionine β-synthase (CBS)-deficient homocystinuria (HCU) is an inherited disorder of sulfur amino acid metabolism with varying severity and organ complications, and a limited knowledge about underlying pathophysiological processes. Here we aimed at getting an in-depth insight into disease mechanisms using a transgenic mouse model of HCU (I278T). Methods: We assessed metabolic, proteomic and sphingolipidomic changes, and mitochondrial function in tissues and body fluids of I278T mice and WT controls. Furthermore, we evaluated the efficacy of methionine-restricted diet (MRD) in I278T mice. Results: In WT mice, we observed a distinct tissue/body fluid compartmentalization of metabolites with up to six-orders of magnitude differences in concentrations among various organs. The I278T mice exhibited the anticipated metabolic imbalance with signs of an increased production of hydrogen sulfide and disturbed persulfidation of free aminothiols. HCU resulted in a significant dysregulation of liver proteome affecting biological oxidations, conjugation of compounds, and metabolism of amino acids, vitamins, cofactors and lipids. Liver sphingolipidomics indicated upregulation of the pro-proliferative sphingosine-1-phosphate signaling pathway. Liver mitochondrial function of HCU mice did not seem to be impaired compared to controls. MRD in I278T mice improved metabolic balance in all tissues and substantially reduced dysregulation of liver proteome. Conclusion: The study highlights distinct tissue compartmentalization of sulfur-related metabolites in normal mice, extensive metabolome, proteome and sphingolipidome disruptions in I278T mice, and the efficacy of MRD to alleviate some of the HCU-related biochemical abnormalities.

At present, however, the acquired knowledge does not guarantee a university graduate stability of success throughout his/her career. Thus, the concept of lifelong education was gradually formed. From the previously established stereotype "education for life", society is moving to the "education throughout life". The traditional division of a person's active life into the period of professional activity and study is blurring. There is a need for a transition to continuing professional education throughout life. One of the most important tasks for the management is to ensure the continuous development and survival of the organizations. Such a task is also vital for the institutions of additional professional education. With the transition to the newly established market relations, in the Russian Federation, the conditions for the operation of the system of additional professional education have changed significantly. First of all, a market for services in the field of additional professional education has emerged, where a large number of organizations of various forms of ownership operate, creating strong competition. In these conditions, the maximum consideration of different factors influencing on the additional professional education institutions, as well as the choice of a management strategy, is an important condition for their successful development and competitiveness. The demand of society for an effective system of additional vocational education determines its place and role in the state policy in relation to the development of human resources. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the challenges of the labor market, the increasing needs of production, the real sector of the economy, the non-production sphere in qualified workers, specialists, managers, as well as training and re-training of unemployed citizens.

The relevance of the research is determined by the key ideas of the hybrid format of students distance learning and collaborative technologies of its implementation in the post- pandemic perspective of the university educational process. The authors, taking into account the trends of transformations of the educational process of the university in the post-pandemic perspective, reveal the content of the key concepts of the hybrid format of distance learning for students. The priorities of collaborative technologies aimed at supporting the hybrid format of distance learning of university students are determined. Based on the results of the study, the authors of the article substantiate the productivity and prove the effectiveness of the implementation of platform models of the hybrid distance-learning format. The materials of the article are recommended to teachers and students of the university, methodologists, curators, tutors.

Surface modification of polylactide films was performed using a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) with the aim of increasing proliferative activity of human fibroblasts on these films. It has been shown that during the plasma treatment of the polylactide film, nonlinear processes occur depending on the processing time. The effect of the dielectric barrier discharge on the modification of polylactide films was evaluated using IR spectroscopy, AFM, XPS, TSDC, and the wetting angle of the surface. The optimal processing time in DBD of polylactide films is 3 min for this installation, the proliferative activity increases by 10% compared to the original film. This treatment time provides an increased concentration of oxygen-containing groups, optimal relief, and free surface energy of 55 mJ/[m.sup.2] on the surface.
