Synthesizing thin films using self assembly is one of the important challenges which needs to be addressed for making engineered material using colloidal particle, necessary for creating novel material for photonic, filtration application, etc. Here, a simple model of prolate ellipsoidal particle with two directional bonds is presented and the phase behavior is studied using NVT and NpT Monte Carlo simulation. It is observed that for anisotropic particles with patches two different type of 3D ordered structures are formed along with thermodynamically stable monolayer which is confirmed using thermodynamic integration. Background "Dissociation" comprises distinct phenomena, some of which are associated with esketamine treatment and some may overlap with positive symptoms of psychosis. Relationships between dissociation and psychotic symptoms assessed by -clinician report vs conventional rating scales were investigated in a post hoc analysis of data from the initial treatment session in an -open-label, -long-term safety, phase 3 study of esketamine plus a newly initiated oral antidepressant in patients with treatment-resistant depression. Methods Adverse events of dissociation or psychosis were examined via investigator report and the Clinician Administered Dissociative States Scale (CADSS) and Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale-Plus, respectively, 40 minutes post first esketamine dose. The range of CADSS total scores associated with investigator-reported severity of dissociation was determined by equipercentile linking. Logistic regression models and receiver operating curve analysis explored the CADSS cutoff point for determining presence/absence of dissociation. Frequency of response to specific CADSS items was examined to investigate qualitative differences in the pattern of symptoms reported across investigator-reported levels of adverse event severity. Results Dissociation was reported as an adverse event in 14.3% (109/764) of patients. Severity of most CADSS items increased with the severity of investigator-reported dissociation. No CADSS cutoff point discriminated well between the presence and absence of dissociation events. Hallucinations were reported as adverse events in 5 patients; none reported delusions. Conclusions CADSS scores and severity of dissociation adverse events move generally in the same direction; however, there is substantial variability in this relationship. The internal fixation of a fractured bone is generally achieved with bone screws during most orthopedic surgeries. Biodegradable screws have not received as much attention as they deserve. Biodegradable screws reduce the stress‐shielding effect, screw failure, complex, painful revision surgery for screw extraction. The vital focus of the present research is to fabricate cortical bone screws using polylactic acid (PLA) by fused deposition modeling technology. The PLA cortical screws were manufactured with different infill patterns (triangular, honeycomb, grid, and concentric), keeping other parameters constant using three‐dimensional printing. The mechanical behavior and fracture mechanism of different patterned cortical screws were observed based on compression testing and tensile testing of screws. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observed the surface topographical features, fracture behavior, and microstructure characterization of different patterned polymeric cortical screws were observed using SEM. Based on the SEM micrographs, mechanical characterization of compression and tensile testing shows the stress, fractures and fatigue cracks propagation at the bone screw interfaces by fractures copy. Moreover, it was observed that the fracture mechanism of ductile to brittle fracture was observed with variation in the infill pattern of the bone screw. The outcomes revealed that the cortical screw with honeycomb infill pattern has the highest compressive and tensile strength than other infill patterns. Honeycomb structured cortical screws have approximately 17% higher compressive strength and 30% higher tensile strength than the triangular patterned cortical screw due to higher bonding surface area at the intercalated layers. Additive manufacturing (AM) technology is an innovative technique that has shown potential in several surgical innovations such as the fabrication of cost‐effective orthopedic screws. It is imperative that the process parameters used during the fabrication of bone screws determine the strength of the screw to support the load‐bearing fracture sites. In this present work, the application of machine learning (ML) models was leveraged for predicting the compressive strength of additively manufactured orthopedic cortical screws. Different ML models such as k‐nearest neighbors, support vector regression, decision trees, and random forest were compared to offer a robust predictive ML model. During the study, fused deposition modeling based additive manufacturing technology is used to fabricate poly(lactic acid) based cortical screws and compressive strength was monitored using the universal testing machine. The predictive ML models were developed by various independent parameters such as infill percentage, layer height, infill pattern and wall thickness. The adequacy and robustness of different ML models were observed at different error metrics. The error metrics of the random forest model were comparatively lower for testing data with a mean absolute error of 2.06 ± 0.91, root mean square error of 2.37 ± 0.9 and coefficient of determination of 0.96 ± 0.042. The results highlight that the random forest is the most adequate ML model for predicting the compressive strength of additively manufactured cortical screws. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Efficacy and safety of 2 risperidone doses were evaluated in children and adolescents with autism. Patients (N = 96; 5-17 years), received risperidone (low-dose: 0.125 mg/day [20 to 45 kg] or high-dose: 1.25 mg/day [20 to 45 kg]) or placebo. Mean baseline (range 27-29) to endpoint change in Aberrant Behavior Checklist-Irritability (primary endpoint) was significantly greater in the high-dose--(-12.4 [6.5]; p < 0.001), but not low-dose (-7.4 [8.1]; p = 0.164) group, versus placebo (-3.5 [10.7]). Clinical Global Impressions-Severity and Children's Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale scores improved significantly only in the high-dose group, consistent with ABC-I results. Somnolence, sedation and increased appetite occurred more frequently in high-versus low-dose groups. Overall, increased appetite occurred most frequently.
