Epibiosis is a common phenomenon in marine systems. In marine environments, ciliates are among the most common organisms adopting an epibiotic habitus and nematodes have been frequently reported as their basibionts. In the present study, we report several new records of peritrich and suctorian ciliates-nematode association worldwide: from a deep-sea pockmark field in the NW Madagascar margin (Indian Ocean), from a shallow vent area in the Gulf of Naples (Mediterranean, Tyrrhenian Sea), in a MPA area in the Gulf of Trieste (Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea), from a mangrove system in French Guiana (South America, Atlantic Ocean), and from the Maldivian Archipelago. In addition, three new species of Suctorea from the Secca delle Fumose shallow vent area (Gulf of Naples) were described: Loricophrya susannae n. sp., Thecacineta fumosae n. sp. and Acinetopsis lynni n. sp. In the light of these new records and data from the existing literature, we discuss the suctorian&ndash, nematode epibiosis relationship as a lever to biodiversity.

Although it is widely recognized that protection may enhance size, abundance, and diversity of fish, its effect on spatial heterogeneity of fish assemblages and species turnover is still poorly understood. 2. Here the effect of full protection within a Mediterranean marine protected area on beta-diversity patterns of fish assemblages along a depth gradient comparing a no-take zone with multiple unprotected areas is explored. The no-take zone showed significantly higher synecological parameters, higher beta-diversity among depths, and lower small-scale heterogeneity of fish assemblages relative to unprotected areas. 3. Such patterns might likely depend on the high level of fishing pressure outside the no-take zone, as also abundance-biomass curves seemed to indicate. Results suggested that full protection could play a role in maintaining high beta-diversity, thus reducing the fragility of marine communities and ecosystems, and spatial heterogeneity may represent a reliable predictor of how management actions could provide insurance against undesirable phase shifts.

Il saggio riproduce il report presentato dall’autore alla Conferenza IIAS (Istituto Internazionale di Scienze Amministrative) tenuta il 25-29 giugno 2018 a Tunisi. Da allora, l’attuale importanza della certezza del diritto è diventata sempre più chiara nel dibattito scientifico italiano. Gli scritti raccolti nel volume a cura di F. Francario e M.A Sandulli su “Principio di ragionevolezza delle decisioni giurisdizionali e diritto alla certezza del diritto” (Napoli, 2018) offrono una vivida prova di ciò. Nell’ultimo anno i problemi evidenziati in questo saggio hanno trovato ulteriori prove nella giurisprudenza italiana e nel quadro normativo nazionale. L’ennesimo emendamento al Codice degli Appalti Pubblici (insieme a un progetto di legge che annuncia la completa riforma del codice), che ha, tra l’altro, previsto l’abolizione di alcuni dei controversi poteri regolatori dell’autorità nazionale anticorruzione, è emblematico. Quest’ultima scelta, sebbene costituisca un primo passo per superare una delle debolezze rappresentate nel saggio, a sua volta crea inevitabilmente ulteriori incertezze a causa della sua estensione ancora parziale., Roma Tre Law Review – 02/2019

Il contributo analizza uno dei più delicati e importanti campi di indagine del regime dei contratti pubblici, alla luce delle più recenti modifiche normative intervenute, e cioè il potere degli enti aggiudicatori di intervenire unilateralmente, in via autoritativa, sugli atti delle procedure di gara e, dopo la stipula del contratto, direttamente su quest’ultimo e/o sulle relative modalità di esecuzione, mettendo in luce, con riferimento a quest'ultimo aspetto, le criticità della disciplina sia sotto il profilo sostanziale, che per le implicazioni processuali che ne derivano.

La dichiarazione dell’illegittimità costituzionale dell’art. 44, co. 3, c.p.a. per la parte in cui limitava temporalmente l’efficacia sanante della costituzione degli intimati sulla notificazione nulla facendo «salvi i diritti acquisiti anteriormente alla comparizione», pronunciata dalla Consulta per eccesso di delega, rappresenta un importante passo verso la pienezza del diritto di difesa innanzi al g.a. (artt. 24 e 113 Cost.) realizzata anche tramite il necessario ossequio ai princìpi generali ricavabili dal c.p.c., tra cui rientra la prevalenza della sostanza sulla forma quando si verta in materia di norme processuali che limitano in modo sproporzionato il diritto di azione, senza essere giustificate da effettive garanzie difensive, né da concorrenti e prevalenti interessi di altra natura.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the relevant factors that influence the implementation of innovation contests, an open innovation (OI) practice that has been extensively reported in the literature as a managerial tool for external knowledge search. The authors focus the study on the context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Design/methodology/approach The approach is a retrospective case study. This methodology allows an in-depth view into a Spanish SME that successfully undertook two new product development processes thanks to the deployment of innovation contests. Findings The main context factors influencing innovation contests as managerial tool are ambidexterity, technological and marketing turbulence and intermediaries, among others. Regarding design factors, this work highlights the role of attraction and facilitation. Additionally, the repetitive implementation of innovation contests creates a corporate culture that promotes OI activities. Practical implications Managers will understand that they can use innovation contests as a managerial tool, and knowing the factors that need to be taken into account when implementing an innovation contest will help SMEs managers to make better use of this practice. Originality/value This case study enriches the literature of both innovation contests and topics relevant to SMEs. Based on a theoretical framework of the design factors that influence the implementation of innovation contests, the authors propose a research framework that incorporates those context factors in association with an SME.

[EN] This paper aims to show how an app can be a very useful tool to improve learning through knowledge management among students and professors.
