O vírus SARS-CoV-2, conhecido mundialmente como Coronavírus ou Covid-19, nome dado devido ao formato e classe do vírus. É possível observar que há inúmeras manifestações em relação ao covid, indo em perspectivas distintas à interdependentes, é necessário analisar as manifestações clínicas comuns. Objetivo: compreender as sequelas apresentadas pelos pacientes acometidos pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2. Metodologia: trata-se de um artigo de revisão integrativa da literatura. Resultados: Esse trabalho foi realizado com 15 artigos criteriosamente selecionados e que responderam à questão norteadora. Conclusão: conclui-se que as alterações pulmonares estão entre as sequelas mais comum dos casos de Covid-19, sendo com a tosse, fadiga e alterações em exames de imagem, ainda não se sabe o período de instalação é possível regresso destas sequelas. As alterações neurológicas também estão presentes em parte da população, sendo a mais comum a perda e diminuição da sensação gustativa e paladar, não está claro na literatura o período da sequela do pós covid.

O cuidado de enfermagem traz como atributos ao enfermeiro a consulta e avaliação em enfermagem, prescrição de cuidados por meio de intervenções a serem realizadas por toda equipe, sendo esta composta pelo técnico de enfermagem e enfermeiro. Para tal, o cuidado de enfermagem deve ser realizado de forma sincronizada e estabelecida por meio de protocolos institucionais, o que diminui intervenções desnecessárias e falhas no atendimento. Objetivo: este estudo tem como objetivo compreender as possíveis intervenções de enfermagem para o paciente vítima de AVE-I durante o tratamento e alta. Metodologia: estudo de revisão integrativa com critério pré-estabelecidos. Resultados: foi possível encontrar um total de 14 artigos completos após utilização da ferramenta de busca e critérios pré-definidos, que responderam à questão norteadora deste estudo. Conclusão: É evidente que as intervenções para o paciente em acometimento vascular encefálico vão além do cenário de emergência, percorre o momento de alta e é decisivo para sua reinserção em sociedade. Durante o atendimento de emergência é notório o papel da assistência de enfermagem, já que é o profissional responsável pelo monitoramento do estado de saúde, administração de drogas como os antitrombóticos.

El propósito de la presente investigación es analizar, desde una perspectiva latinoamericana, la producción científica referida a la gerencia social en la base de datos Dimensions entre los años 1989 y 2020. Desde una metodología bibliométrica con enfoque cuantitativo-descriptivo, el estudio busca llenar un vacío de conocimiento sobre las características de las publicaciones sobre gerencia social. Se presentan indicadores de producción, la ley de Bradford, el mapeo de redes bibliométricas según coautoría y coocurrencia de palabras clave. Los resultados muestran el carácter multidimensional de la gerencia social como campo disciplinar. Se evidencia también una creciente producción y concentración de publicaciones en algunos países de la región latinoamericana. Además, se identifican autores, categorías temáticas y revistas de mayor producción. En este caso, Brasil es el país que destaca en cuanto a la producción científica que publican sobre esta temática.

The aim of this study was to develop an oxygen scavenger and antioxidant active packaging material for fried peanuts. The packaging solution, which has been made at the laboratory previously, has been developed by cast film extrusion and is composed of low-density polyethylene-ethylene vinyl alcohol-polyethylene terephthalate (LDPE/EVOH/PET)-based films containing β-carotene (CAR). In comparison with film without additive, developed film presented an orange colouring (higher L* and b* values and lower a* values) and an increase in oxygen induction time (OIt) from 4.5 to 14.1 min. The incorporation of β-carotene to the formulation also brings about a significant effect on the thermal stability as maximum degradation temperatures increased around 1%. Regarding the oxygen absorption capacity of the films, values of 1.39 ± 0.10 mL O2 per g of film at laboratory scale and 1.7 ± 0.3 mL O2 per g of multilayer (ML)/LDPE_CAR were obtained, respectively, after 3 days, proving the suitability of the packaging solutions as oxygen absorbers. To validate the packaging solution, the oxidative stability of fried peanuts packed in fabricated multilayer β-carotene bags was evaluated for 3 months at 40 °C. The hexanal content remained constant during this period. Meanwhile, peanuts packed in ML without β-carotene increased their hexanal content to 294%. This fact indicated a lower extent of oxidation in fried peanuts compared to food samples packaged in control films, suggesting the potential of ML/LDPE_CAR films as sustainable and antioxidant food packaging systems to offer protection against lipid oxidation in foods. Sensory evaluation confirmed that ML/LDPE_CAR films provided the peanut samples with an extra aroma due to the volatile degradation products of β-carotene (such as β-cyclocitral or 6-methyl-5-hepten-2-ol). The objective of this study is to identify the determinant factors of investment decision practices and further, to develop a framework that characterizes the investment decision practices among certified public accountants in Davao Del Norte. This research is significant for investors to enhance their capacity to decide on investments and provide investment managers better ways of designing their products and services. The informants of this study were 150 CPAs using a researcher"s modified questionnaire that was personally administered. The data were analyzed using Data Reduction Analysis, Kaiser Meyer-Olkin measure of sampling adequacy and Barlett"s test of sphericity and Factor Rotation Method. Using the exploratory factor analysis, the study reveals that Economic Expectation, Herding Effect, Market Information, Third Party Opinion, Financial Information, News and Government Influence, Firm Perception, Over-confidence and Firm Image best influences the investment decision practices of CPAs in Davao del Norte.

El estudio de las funciones en el bachillerato en México se ha limitado únicamente a las elementales ignorando a las funciones hiperbólicas y especiales. Estas últimas, por lo general, se encuentran en términos de integrales, y para evaluarlas deben utilizarse algoritmos numéricos que se hallan fuera del alcance de los estudiantes de este nivel educativo. Por tanto, en este artículo se propone actualizar los contenidos en la asignatura propedéutica Matemáticas Aplicadas del campo disciplinar de matemáticas del bachillerato tecnológico en la que se agrega la función Lambert W al estudio de las funciones trascendentes. Además, se considera adicionar el estudio de las funciones hiperbólicas y especiales a través de aproximaciones matemáticas que se encuentran en términos de funciones elementales, lo que facilitará su implementación en software educativo como GeoGebra. Asimismo, se ofrecen cuatro ejemplos en donde se aplican las aproximaciones de las funciones que se consideran en la propuesta curricular, las cuales pueden servir de guía para mostrar aplicaciones relacionadas con la tecnología y el cotidiano de los alumnos.

Este proyecto explora el campo de la investigación para el diseño como una de las actividades que pueden formar diseñadores gráficos con los conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes para contribuir a entender el nuevo contexto y facilitar las actividades humanas en la adaptación a la nueva realidad, nueva cultura, nuevas maneras de hacer las cosas y nuevas conexiones entre los objetos y sus significados. La investigación debe ser aprendida con estrategias didácticas que acerquen a los estudiantes al usuario y su contexto para que adquieran una visión actualizada y precisa de la evolución de la sociedad.

We present a new quantum heuristic algorithm aimed at finding satisfying assignments for hard K-SAT instances using a continuous time quantum walk that explicitly exploits the properties of quantum tunneling. Our algorithm uses a Hamiltonian $$H_A(F)$$ H A ( F ) which is specifically constructed to solve a K-SAT instance F. The heuristic algorithm aims at iteratively reducing the Hamming distance between an evolving state $${|{\psi _j}\rangle }$$ | ψ j ⟩ and a state that represents a satisfying assignment for F. Each iteration consists on the evolution of $${|{\psi _j}\rangle }$$ | ψ j ⟩ (where j is the iteration number) under $$e^{-iH_At}$$ e - i H A t , a measurement that collapses the superposition, a check to see if the post-measurement state satisfies F and in the case it does not, an update to $$H_A$$ H A for the next iteration. Operator $$H_A$$ H A describes a continuous time quantum walk over a hypercube graph with potential barriers that makes an evolving state to scatter and mostly follow the shortest tunneling paths with the smaller potentials that lead to a state $${|{s}\rangle }$$ | s ⟩ that represents a satisfying assignment for F. The potential barriers in the Hamiltonian $$H_A$$ H A are constructed through a process that does not require any previous knowledge on the satisfying assignments for the instance F. Due to the topology of $$H_A$$ H A each iteration is expected to reduce the Hamming distance between each post measurement state and a state $${|{s}\rangle }$$ | s ⟩ . If the state $${|{s}\rangle }$$ | s ⟩ is not measured after n iterations (the number n of logical variables in the instance F being solved), the algorithm is restarted. Periodic measurements and quantum tunneling also give the possibility of getting out of local minima. Our numerical simulations show a success rate of 0.66 on measuring $${|{s}\rangle }$$ | s ⟩ on the first run of the algorithm (i.e., without restarting after n iterations) on thousands of 3-SAT instances of 4, 6, and 10 variables with unique satisfying assignments.

Internet of Things acts an essential role in our everyday lives and it definitely has the potential to grow on the importance and revolutionize our future. However, the present communication technologies have several security related issues which is required to provide secure end to end connectivity among services. Moreover, due to recent, rapid growth of quantum technologies, most common security mechanisms considered secure today may be soon imperilled. Thus, the modern security mechanisms during their construction also require the power of quantum technologies to resist various potential attacks from quantum computers. Because of its characteristics, quantum walks (QW) is considered as a universal quantum computation paradigm that can be accepted as an excellent key generator. In this regard, in this paper a new lightweight image encryption scheme based on QW for secure data transfer in the internet of things platforms and wireless networking with edge computing is proposed. The introduced approach utilises the power of nonlinear dynamic behaviour of QW to construct permutation boxes and generates pseudo-random numbers for encrypting the plain image after dividing it into blocks. The results of the conducted simulation and numerical analyses confirm that the presented encryption algorithm is effective. The encrypted images have randomness properties, no useful data about the ciphered image can be obtained via analysing the correlation of adjacent pixels. Moreover, the entropy value is close to 8, the number of the pixel change rate is greater than 99.61%, and there is high sensitivity of the key parameters with large key space to resist various attacks.

Mangroves provide multiple ecosystem services (ESs), including fish and wildlife habitat, protection from coastal erosion and flooding impacts, food resources, water quality, carbon sequestration and storage. However, most of the mangrove wetlands structural and functional information useful to evaluate the quality, quantity and monetary value of its ESs has been obtained from studies at tropical latitudes usually dominated by large deltas and extensive coastal lagoon and estuaries. Thus, there is a major data gap for mangrove wetlands located in arid and semi-arid regions due to their limited land cover and location at the boundary of transitional climate gradients. Here we analyze the spatial distribution of mangrove wetlands carbon stocks and net primary productivity (i.e., litterfall and root productivity) in La Paz Bay, an arid coastal region in the Gulf of California, Mexico, where mangrove wetlands are spatially distributed in conspicuously extensive patches. We used this information to qualitatively rank ESs. Three peri-urban mangrove wetland sites (Balandra, Enfermeria, and Zacatecas) were characterized by different degrees of anthropogenic impact. Aboveground biomass (interval: 13.6 to 31.6 Mg C ha−1) was in the lower range when compared globally. The average C storage in mangrove soils (at 45 cm depth) in La Paz Bay is 175 Mg C ha−1, which is higher than the values reported for other arid zones (≥1 m soil depth: 43–156 Mg C ha−1). Belowground root biomass and productivity values (roots range: 0.22–0.31 Mg C ha−1; fine roots NPP: 0.06–0.09 Mg C ha−1 yr−1) were in the lower range. We found distinct differences in aboveground C storage values among sites where mangrove species formed monospecific stands across the landscape within each site. Areas dominated by the species Rhizophora mangle reflected the highest soil C density values (208.9 ± 144.6 Mg C ha−1), followed by Laguncularia racemosa (181.4 ± 118.2 Mg C ha−1) and Avicennia germinans (155.5 ± 72.1 Mg C ha−1). We identified ESs provided by each of the sites, including both cultural (i.e., ecotourism; especially in Balandra), and provisioning (fisheries) services. Our study is a first step in the quantitative assessment of functional and structural properties as ESs of arid mangrove wetlands in La Paz Bay that could be readily translated into robust economic estimates for this arid coastal region.

The Translational Research Committee of the French Intensive Care Society organized the first Young Investigator’s Day on October 18th 2019. This seminar gave young Intensive Care students the opportunity to present their Master’s or PhD research work to a college of expert researchers. For this first event, Professors Jean-Marc Cavaillon (Paris), Laurent Papazian (Marseille), Peter Radermacher (Ulm) et Hafid Ait-Oufella (Paris) kindly accepted to give young candidates their critical support. The subjects of presentations, covering the fields of neuroscience, immunology, hemodynamics and pharmacology illustrated the richness and diversity of translational research in Intensive Care Medicine

This paper describes the work carried out by the Inter-American Development Bank, the IDB Lab, LACChain, Cambridge Quantum Computing (CQC), and Tecnológico de Monterrey to identify and eliminate quantum threats in blockchain networks. The advent of quantum computing threatens internet protocols and blockchain networks because they utilize non-quantum resistant cryptographic algorithms. When quantum computers become robust enough to run Shor's algorithm on a large scale, the most used asymmetric algorithms, utilized for digital signatures and message encryption, such as RSA, (EC)DSA, and (EC)DH, will be no longer secure. Quantum computers will be able to break them within a short period of time. Similarly, Grover's algorithm concedes a quadratic advantage for mining blocks in certain consensus protocols such as proof of work. Today, there are hundreds of billions of dollars denominated in cryptocurrencies that rely on blockchain ledgers as well as the thousands of blockchain-based applications storing value in blockchain networks. Cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based applications require solutions that guarantee quantum resistance in order to preserve the integrity of data and assets in their public and immutable ledgers. We have designed and developed a layer-two solution to secure the exchange of information between blockchain nodes over the internet and introduced a second signature in transactions using post-quantum keys. Our versatile solution can be applied to any blockchain network. In our implementation, quantum entropy was provided via the IronBridge Platform from CQC and we used LACChain Besu as the blockchain network.

The aim of this study was to develop a double function active packaging material for nuts. The packaging solution, on the one hand, integrated polybutadiene (PB) as an oxygen scavenger and, on the other hand, it incorporated peanut aroma (PA) to improve customer’s sensorial experience. Different formulations based on low density polyethylene (LDPE), commercial PA (5 wt %) and PB at two levels (5 wt % and 13 wt %) were obtained by cast film extrusion. The obtained films were compared in terms of their mechanical, structural, optical and thermal properties confirming a plasticizing effect of PA and PB resulting in an increase in the ductility of the polymer and in a slight decrease in the thermal properties, maintaining their transparency. Regarding the oxygen capacity of the films, values of 4.4 mL and 2.7 mL O2 g−1 film were obtained for PE/PA/PB13 and PE/PA/PB5, respectively, after 6 days proving the suitability of the UV irradiation treatment in improving the oxygen absorption capacity of PB without the need of a metal catalyst. The aroma retention capacity into the polymer matrix was also evaluated in the developed formulations. The incorporation of PB in 13 wt % into a LDPE matrix improved the PA retention. This behavior was attributed to the ability of PB in enhancing cross-linking of LDPE as the concentration of PB increases. The results suggested the potential of PE/PB/PB13 films as oxygen scavenger and aromatic food packaging system to offer protection against lipid oxidation in nuts. Enfermagem baseada em evidências se torna fundamental e decisiva no cuidado, gerando menores taxas de danos ao paciente e consequente redução no custo de internação. Assim, o uso da ultrassonografia em emergência fundamenta-se na prática baseada em evidência, complementando e oferecendo recursos de suporte metodológico no processo de enfermagem. Objetivo: compreender a perspectiva do profissional enfermeiro no uso da ultrassonografia no departamento de emergência. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura. Resultados: Após o uso dos mecanismos de busca e critérios pré-estabelecidos, pode-se encontrar um total de 19 artigos, disponíveis na íntegra e que responderam à questão norteadora deste estudo. Conclusão: Em suma, portanto, o uso pelo enfermeiro está respaldado e deve ser incentivado, já que permeia o processo de assistência em enfermagem em seu todo. Com conhecimento, habilidade e atitude frente ao uso, não ficam óbices para a utilização desse recurso de imagem.

Na+/K+-ATPase is an essential transmembrane enzyme found in all mammalian cells with critical functions for cell ion homeostasis. The inhibition of this enzyme by several cardiotonic steroids (CTS) has been associated with the cytotoxic effect on cancer cell lines of phytochemicals such as ouabain and digitoxin. This study evaluated the inhibitory capacity of cardenolides calotropin and corotoxigenin 3-O-glucopyranoside (C3OG) from Asclepias subulata over the Na+/K+-ATPase activity in vitro and silico. The inhibitory assays showed that calotropin and C3OG decreased the Na+/K+-ATPase activity with IC50 values of 0.27 and 0.87 μM, respectively. Furthermore, the molecules presented an uncompetitive inhibition on Na+/K+-ATPase activity, with Ki values of 0.2 μM to calotropin and 0.5 μM to C3OG. Furthermore, the molecular modeling indicated that calotropin and C3OG might interact with the Thr797 and Gln111 residues, considered essential to the interaction with the Na+/K+-ATPase. Besides, these cardenolides can interact with amino acid residues such as Phe783, Leu125, and Ala323, to establish hydrophobic interactions on the binding site. Considering the results, these provide novel evidence about the mechanism of action of cardenolides from A. subulata, proposing that C3OG is a novel cardenolide that deserves further consideration for in vitro cellular antiproliferative assays and in vivo studies as an anticancer molecule.
