Abstract

Outsourcing data to the cloud for computation and storage has been on the rise in recent years. In this paper we investigate the problem of supporting write operation on the outsourced data for clients using mobile devices. We consider the Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) scheme as it is well suited to support access control in outsourced cloud environments. One shortcoming of CP-ABE is that users can modify the access policy specified by the data owner if write operations are incorporated in the scheme. We propose a protocol for collaborative processing of outsourced data that enables the authorized users to perform write operation without being able to alter the access policy specified by the data owner. Our scheme is accompanied with a light weight signature scheme and simple, inexpensive user revocation mechanism to make it suitable for processing on resource-constrained mobile devices. The implementation and detailed performance analysis of the scheme indicate the suitability of the proposed scheme for real mobile applications. Moreover, the security analysis demonstrates that the security properties of the system are not compromised.

233. Secure and light weight fine-grained access mechanism for outsourced data

Abstract

In this paper we explore the problem of providing selective read/write access to the outsourced data for clients using mobile devices in an environment that supports users from multiple domains and where attributes are generated by multiple authorities. We consider Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) scheme as it can provide access control on the encrypted outsourced data. One limitation of CP-ABE is that users can modify the access policy specified by the data owner if write operations are introduced in the scheme. We propose a protocol for providing different levels of access to outsourced data that permits the authorized users to perform write operation without altering the access policy specified by the data owner. Our scheme provides fine-grained read/write access to the users, accompanied with a light weight signature scheme and computationally inexpensive user revocation mechanism suitable for resource-constrained mobile devices. The security analysis demonstrates the robustness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract

We perform a likelihood analysis of the constraints from accelerator experiments and astrophysical observations on supersymmetric (SUSY) models with SU(5) boundary conditions on soft SUSY-breaking parameters at the GUT scale. The parameter space of the models studied has seven parameters: a universal gaugino mass [Formula: see text], distinct masses for the scalar partners of matter fermions in five- and ten-dimensional representations of SU(5), [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], and for the [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] Higgs representations [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], a universal trilinear soft SUSY-breaking parameter [Formula: see text], and the ratio of Higgs vevs [Formula: see text]. In addition to previous constraints from direct sparticle searches, low-energy and flavour observables, we incorporate constraints based on preliminary results from 13 TeV LHC searches for jets + [Formula: see text] events and long-lived particles, as well as the latest PandaX-II and LUX searches for direct Dark Matter detection. In addition to previously identified mechanisms for bringing the supersymmetric relic density into the range allowed by cosmology, we identify a novel [Formula: see text] coannihilation mechanism that appears in the supersymmetric SU(5) GUT model and discuss the role of [Formula: see text] coannihilation. We find complementarity between the prospects for direct Dark Matter detection and SUSY searches at the LHC.

Abstract

We perform a likelihood analysis of the minimal anomaly-mediated supersymmetry-breaking (mAMSB) model using constraints from cosmology and accelerator experiments. We find that either a wino-like or a Higgsino-like neutralino LSP, [Formula: see text], may provide the cold dark matter (DM), both with similar likelihoods. The upper limit on the DM density from Planck and other experiments enforces [Formula: see text] after the inclusion of Sommerfeld enhancement in its annihilations. If most of the cold DM density is provided by the [Formula: see text], the measured value of the Higgs mass favours a limited range of [Formula: see text] (and also for [Formula: see text] if [Formula: see text]) but the scalar mass [Formula: see text] is poorly constrained. In the wino-LSP case, [Formula: see text] is constrained to about [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] to [Formula: see text], whereas in the Higgsino-LSP case [Formula: see text] has just a lower limit [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]) and [Formula: see text] is constrained to [Formula: see text] in the [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]) scenario. In neither case can the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, [Formula: see text], be improved significantly relative to its Standard Model (SM) value, nor do flavour measurements constrain the model significantly, and there are poor prospects for discovering supersymmetric particles at the LHC, though there are some prospects for direct DM detection. On the other hand, if the [Formula: see text] contributes only a fraction of the cold DM density, future LHC [Formula: see text]-based searches for gluinos, squarks and heavier chargino and neutralino states as well as disappearing track searches in the wino-like LSP region will be relevant, and interference effects enable [Formula: see text] to agree with the data better than in the SM in the case of wino-like DM with [Formula: see text].

Abstract

© 2017 The Chemical Society of Japan. The aggregation behavior of the asymmetric cationic surfactant, hexyldimethyloctylammonium bromide (C 6 C 8 DAB), was analyzed by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and transmittance measurements at various surfactant concentrations. DLS measurements showed that large aggregates appeared spontaneously as the solution was diluted toward the critical micelle concentration (CMC), accompanied by the solution turning turbid.

Abstract

32nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 1690-1691, We have found that conventional damp-heat (DH) test on a commercial CIGS (a.k.a. CIS, CIGSS) module causes an irreversible "Test-specific" degradation that is not observed in modules deployed in fields. We have tested full-size CIGS modules with/without forward bias, light irradiation and humidity during heat tests. The results clearly show that adding forward bias, or white light irradiation during DH tests suppresses this irreversible degradation. Based on these results, we recommend to add forward bias and/or light irradiation during DH tests of CIGS modules, to make the test condition closer to real fields and suppress degradations not observed in the field.

Abstract

We propose a new possible explanation of the ATLAS di-boson excess: that it is due to heavy resonant slepton production, followed by decay into di-smuons. The smuon has a mass not too far from the W and Z masses, and so it is easily confused with W or Z bosons after its subsequent decay into di-jets, through a supersymmetry violating and R-parity violating interaction. Such a scenario is not currently excluded by other constraints and remains to be definitively tested in Run II of the LHC. Such light smuons can easily simultaneously explain the discrepancy between the measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon and the Standard Model prediction.
