Exoskeletons provide an ergonomic solution that can reduce the physical strain that specific segments of the body are exposed to while performing certain tasks, especially in industrial environments. Before incorporating an exoskeleton into a workstation, it is important to conduct a biomechanical analysis to assess both the improvements and benefits of its introduction into the workstation, as well as any associated risks. Any such biomechanical analysis should record the muscular activity, movements and reaction forces of the body segments that are mainly involved in the performance of the work activity. The procedure followed by the Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) includes the study of movements in the workstation, the definition of biomechanical variables, the performance of tests and the analysis of the results. To carry out the biomechanical analysis of an exoskeleton, the IBV uses Kinemov/IBV, a tool that allows the synchronized recording of the different variables required for this analysis. In conclusion, a biomechanical analysis is essential to assess the desirability of incorporating an exoskeleton into awork environment and Kinemov/IBV is a useful tool to perform this analysis., Los exoesqueletos son una solución ergonómica para reducir la carga física de los segmentos corporales que entran en juego durante la realización de ciertas tareas, sobre todo en entornos industriales. Es importante realizar un análisis biomecánico cuando se incorpora un exoesqueleto en un puesto de trabajo, ya que permite evaluar tanto las mejoras y ventajas que supone su introducción en los puestos de trabajo como los riesgos que podría conllevar su implementación. En este análisis biomecánico se debe registrar la actividad muscular, los movimientos y las fuerzas de reacción de los segmentos corporales principalmente involucrados en la realización de la actividad laboral. El Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) sigue un procedimiento que involucra el estudio de los movimientos en el puesto de trabajo, la definición de variables biomecánicas, la realización de pruebas y el análisis de los resultados. Para realizar este análisis, el IBV utiliza Kinemov/IBV, una herramienta que permite el registro sincronizado de las diferentes variables necesarias para el análisis biomecánico de exoesqueletos. En conclusión, el estudio biomecánico es fundamental para evaluar la idoneidad de incorporar exoesqueletos en entornos laborales y Kinemov/IBV es una herramienta útil para llevar a cabo este análisis.

Knowledge of the soil water balance is fundamental for improving crop water use in agricultural fields. Estimates are normally for representative and homogeneous areas where the variability of soil properties is neglected. However, this variability significantly impacts soil water dynamics at the field scale. In this study, the MOHID-Land distributed process-based model was used to compute the spatially explicit soil water dynamics in a 22.6-ha almond field located in southern Portugal. An electromagnetic induction survey was first performed to obtain electromagnetic images of the real soil conductivity in depth, which were related to soil texture. Then, pedotransfer functions were used to convert soil texture into soil hydraulic data. MOHID-Land results included maps of the spatial distribution of soil water contents, actual crop transpiration, actual soil evaporation, percolation below the rootzone, and surface runoff. These allowed identifying preferential flow pathways as well as the main control factors influencing soil water dynamics at the field scale. El área de la computación cuántica es una de las más prometedoras en la búsqueda de un nuevo paradigma de computación post-Moore. En este trabajo se proporciona la información necesaria para conocer los principios de mecánica cuántica en los que se basa este campo de las ciencias de la computación, partiendo del bloque más básico de los computadores cuánticos, el qubit, y ascendiendo en nuestra escala de abstracción a través de conceptos como las puertas cuánticas, los conjuntos universales de puertas o los criterios para la correcta implementación de un ordenador cuántico. Acto seguido, se realiza una revisión de los conceptos diferenciativos, la historia y el estado del arte de tres de las tecnologías cuánticas de capa física más avanzadas en el área: trampas de iones, superconductores y fotónicas, y también se dedica una sección al resto de tecnologías físicamente implementadas que no ha sido posible tratar en más detalle. También se definen algunas de las métricas y algoritmos más utilizados a la hora de comparar y acotar las capacidades de distintos computadores cuánticos, tras lo cual se proporciona un vistazo al estado actual del software diseñado para máquinas cuánticas, y finalmente se concluye el trabajo con una opinión sobre el aspecto del futuro cercano de este campo.

The design and construction of transport routes in Costa Rica during the 19th century was mainly for agro-exports. In this way, the railways to the Pacific and the Caribbean met the objective of communicating coffee-producing areas (initially in the Central Valley) and, later, bananas (in the Costa Rican Caribbean), with the main ports of the country. Secondly, from the planning point of view, the issue of passenger transport is integrated. And while the Atlantic Railroad tried to renegotiate this matter, the contract with the company stipulated that they should provide passenger transport. This article analyzes some of the railway accidents that occurred between 1920 and 1940. This is because after the construction of the railway, there were a number of changes in the location of the tracks, depending on the abandonment of land due to plagues and possibly social movements. Most of the cases that are addressed, are of passengers of the train or of pedestrians that were beaten or run over by the machine, because the objective of this work lies in explaining some human and sociocultural factors, involved in the participation in railway accidents, from the casuistry., El diseño y la construcción de las vías de transporte en Costa Rica durante el siglo XIX, se hizo, fundamentalmente, para las agroexportaciones. De esta forma, las líneas férreas hacia el Pacífico y el Caribe, cumplieron el objetivo de comunicar las zonas productoras de café (inicialmente en el Valle Central) y, posteriormente, de banano (en el Caribe costarricense), con los principales puertos del país. De forma secundaria, desde el punto de vista de la planificación, se integra el tema del transporte de pasajeros. Y si bien, en el Ferrocarril al Atlántico se trató de renegociar este asunto, en el contrato con la compañía estaba estipulado que estos debían brindar el transporte de pasajeros. El presente artículo analiza algunos de los accidentes ferroviarios ocurridos entre 1920 y 1940. Esto porque después de la construcción del ferrocarril, hubo una serie de cambios en la ubicación de las vías, en función del abandono de terrenos debido a las plagas y posiblemente, a los movimientos sociales. La mayoría de los casos que se abordan, son de pasajeros del tren o de peatones que fueron golpeados o atropellados por la máquina, pues el objetivo de este trabajo radica en explicar algunos factores humanos y socioculturales, involucrados en la participación en los accidentes ferroviarios, desde la casuística.

The aim of this paper is to present the archaeological data that allows us to characterise the agrarian practices of Roman farmers through the study of cultivated fields. To undertake this research, we designed an analytical strategy combining spatial analysis, microstratigraphic analysis through soil micromorphology and physical-chemical analyses of bulk soil samples, and archaeobotanical analyses including palynology, phytoliths and geochemical analysis. All this has allowed us to obtain data of interest for the reconstruction of agrarian land use and to establish a methodological basis for developing future research. This high-resolution, multiscalar, and multianalytical approach pursues to characterise these archaeological contexts to singularize intensive agricultural practices developed in terraced field. The creation of this Roman peasant landscape is related to a specific models of socioeconomic organisation of agricultural work based on the household and its workforce as a determining vector in agrarian intensification.

Aquí existe un sistema de 5 tipos de Unidades Territoriales (macrobloques= 2, mesobloques= 2, bloques= 29, microbloques= 44, y nanobloques= 202) en relaciones espacio-temporales actuales con una red de 29 alineaciones principales y 32 intersecciones o nudos. El 59% de los bloques es muy activo o activo, y el territorio tiene un valor de ~0.03 fracturas/km2 con 63 escarpes. The pandemic caused by COVID-19 impacted the entire world, but technological progress led to the appearance of new and innovative emerging technologies (ETs). These technologies proved to have a wide potential for use as support in education, but being a new technology, certain complications arose when it came to their application in the educational model. Nowadays, there are many digital technologies, so it is necessary to identify those that can be used in today’s education. Digital technologies have been implemented in all types of sectors, one of them being education, and the use of these technologies translates into significant improvements in educational processes and learning outcomes. Despite this, there is currently little research on the use of ETs as a support in the academic process. This research uses systematic mapping (SM) of the last 5 years, together with the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to identify the use and acceptance of ETs in higher education. For the SM, a keyword search string was used in three scientific databases (Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore). To apply the UTAUT, a survey was conducted with 120 students on the acceptance of ETs as support in higher education. The results obtained indicate that ETs provide some optimization of educational processes, with greater immersion and application of knowledge when using technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and mobile learning. Likewise, ETs can motivate students, allowing them to reach new academic and professional achievements.

El present document comprèn l'estudi tècnic i econòmic d'un sistema de climatització d'un gimnàs, ubicat dins del recinte d'un col·legi públic del municipi de Siete Aguas, a la província de València. Es tracta d'un edifici nou, al qual es pretén oferir una solució el més eficient i sostenible possible. En primer lloc, es descriurà el propi edifici en si mateix, les seves estances i les condicions climàtiques de la zona on es troba. Per a climatitzar el gimnàs de manera eficient, i després de contemplar diferents solucions i avaluar les seves avantatges i desavantatges, s'ha plantejat instal·lar una bomba de calor d'aerotèrmia, per aprofitar l'energia de l'exterior. Per escalfar l'aigua calenta sanitària s'utilitzarà energia solar tèrmica i així es reduirà l'ús d'energies fòssils. Per a distribuir el calor, es farà ús de terra radiant, un emissor de baixa temperatura que millorarà el rendiment de la bomba de calor, i aportarà un gran confort tèrmic al gimnàs; i per a refrigeració s'utilitzaran fancoils, un dispositiu format per una bateria i un ventilador, utilitzat per proporcionar calefacció o refrigeració a un espai. Per valorar la solució tècnica i l'eficiència del sistema de climatització es realitzarà una anàlisi teòrica i es dimensionaran totes les tecnologies utilitzades en el sistema. En definitiva, es tractarà de dur a terme una instal·lació de climatització sostenible i innovadora, que permeti fer un ús prioritari d'energies renovables, reduir el consum energètic i les emissions de gasos contaminants, minimitzar l'impacte sobre el medi ambient i aportar un alt grau de confort a l'usuari., El presente documento comprende el estudio técnico y económico de un sistema de climatización de un gimnasio, ubicado dentro del recinto de un colegio público del municipio de Siete Aguas, en la provincia de Valencia. Se trata de un edificio nuevo, al que se pretende ofrecer una solución lo más eficiente y sostenible posible. En primer lugar, se describirá el propio edificio en sí, sus estancias y las condiciones climáticas de la zona en la que se encuentra. Para climatizar el gimnasio de manera eficiente, y tras contemplar diferentes soluciones y evaluar sus ventajas y desventajas, se ha planteado instalar una bomba de calor de aerotermia, para aprovechar la energía del exterior. Para calentar el agua caliente sanitaria se utilizará energía solar térmica y así, se reducirá el uso de energías fósiles. Para distribuir el calor, se hará uso de suelo radiante, un emisor de baja temperatura que mejorará el rendimiento de la bomba de calor, y aportará un gran confort térmico al gimnasio; y para refrigeración se utilizarán fancoils, un dispositivo formado por una batería y un ventilador, utilizado para proporcionar calefacción o refrigeración a un espacio. Para valorar la solución técnica y la eficiencia del sistema de climatización se realizará un análisis teórico y se dimensionarán todas las tecnologías utilizadas en el sistema. En definitiva, se tratará de llevar a cabo una instalación de climatización sostenible e innovadora, que permita hacer un uso prioritario de energías renovables, reducir el consumo energético y las emisiones de gases contaminantes, minimizar el impacto sobre el medio ambiente y aportar un alto grado de confort al usuario., This document comprises the technical and economic study of an air conditioning system for a gym located in a public school in the municipality of Siete Aguas, in the province of Valencia. The aim for the newly constructed building is to offer the most efficient and sustainable solution possible. To begin, the building, its spaces and the climate conditions in the area will be described. In order to efficiently condition the gym and after considering different solutions and evaluating their advantages and disadvantages, it has been proposed to install an aerothermal heat pump to harness energy from the outside environment. Solar thermal energy will also be used to heat the domestic hot water, reducing the use of fossil fuels. Low-temperature radiant floor heating will be used to distribute the heat, improve the heat pump's performance, and provide great thermal comfort to the gym. Fan coils will be used for cooling. A fan coil is a device composed of a battery and a fan, used to provide heating or cooling to a space. A theoretical analysis will be conducted to assess the technical solution and the efficiency of the air conditioning system, and all the technologies used in the system will be dimensioned. Ultimately, the goal is to carry out an innovative and sustainable air conditioning installation that prioritizes the use of renewable energies, reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, minimizes environmental impact, and provides a high degree of user comfort.

A día de hoy, la Educación emocional en jóvenes adolescentes se ha convertido en una necesidad. Resulta imprescindible la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de las competencias emocionales para este grupo de la población, así como la contribución a su desarrollo de la Inteligencia Emocional. En este sentido, concienciar de las emociones, enseñar a regular y gestionar las mismas, desarrollar habilidades sociales, fomentar la autonomía y generar hábitos de salud y bienestar, otorga a las personas adolescentes una llave para desbloquear oportunidades de cara a la vida. En el presente documento se abarca una gran cantidad de contenido teórico relacionado con el ámbito de las emociones. A su vez, se argumenta de forma extensa el concepto de Inteligencia Emocional, así como los modelos más significativos que han tratado de definir y desglosar el término en cuestión a lo largo de la historia. Seguidamente, se presenta una propuesta teórica a modo de Unidad Didáctica en la Educación Física que reúne las competencias emocionales que conforman la Inteligencia Emocional. A través de la puesta en práctica de ocho sesiones de trabajo, aplicada fundamentalmente en adolescentes de 1º de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria, se espera contribuir al desarrollo de dichas competencias mediante la combinación de la Actividad Física y Deporte y de la vivencia emocional.

Zooarchaeological analyses of the skeletal remains of 52 animals unearthed in the courtyard of an Iron Age Tartessian building known as Casas del Turuñuelo (Badajoz, Spain) shed light on a massive sacrifice forming part of a series of rituals linked to the site’s last period of activity and final abandonment. The rites took place towards the end of the 5th century BCE when both the building (intentionally destroyed) and the sacrificed animals were intentionally buried under a tumulus 90 m in diameter and 6 m high. The main objective of the zooarchaeological and microstratigraphic analyses was to determine the phasing of the sacrificial depositions. Evidence gathered from taphonomic assessments and a series of radiocarbon datings indicate that the sacrifices fall into three consecutive phases spanning several years. The findings of the zooarchaeological analyses clearly point to a selection of equid and cattle males. Adult equids predominate (MNI = 41) followed by adult and sub-adult cattle (MNI = 6). Pigs, in turn, are only represented by a few adults and sub-adult females (MNI = 4). Among the animals is a single dog of undetermined sex between 3 and 4 years of age. The fact that the animals are mostly adults discards the likelihood that they died from natural causes or an epidemic. In addition, the scenographic deposition of certain equids in pairs, as well as evidence of the burning of plant offerings, suggest an intentional ritualistic sacrifice. Nine of the initial depositions of Phase 1 in the SE quadrant were scattered and certain of their bones bear marks characteristic of both prolonged open air exposure and scavengers. Another 31 animals from Phases 1 and 2 are represented by almost complete, articulated skeletons, indicating they were promptly covered. Phase 3, by contrast, reveals both almost complete and partial animals bearing clear signs of processing for human consumption.
