Objective: Write the care performed by residents in urgent and emergency cases in a rural community. Method: This is an exploratory and descriptive research, of a qualitative nature. In which 42 adult residents were subjected, with the closing of a sample performed by semi-structured interview and saturation. Data analysis was performed by central id analysis. Results: The research followed with women, mostly self-declared brown, aged 23 to 87 years, with completed 2nd degree, living in stable union and unemployed. Twenty-one types of urgent and emergency situations were evidenced, of which, in general, the most frequent were: hypertensive crisis, neurovascular disorders and signs and symptoms. Among the varied care performed by the participants were, oral medication use, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, inhalation and topical use of alcohol and herbs, intake of water with sugar and tea, as well as verification of vital signs were found. Conclusion: Despite the challenges faced by the community, residents demonstrate a great deal of welcome and willingness to learn about the proper care. Being very receptive with actions that enhance access and accessibility to the health service. Objetivo: Describir la atención realizada por los residentes en casos urgentes y de emergencia en una comunidad rural. Método: Se trata de una investigación exploratóri y descriptiva, de carácter cualitativo. En el que fueron sometidos 42 residentes adultos, con el cierre de una muestra realizada por entrevista semiestructurada y saturación. El análisis de datos se realizó mediante el análisis de id central. Resultados: La investigación siguió con mujeres, en su mayoría auto declaradas de color marrón, de 23 a 87 años, con 2o grado completado, que viven en unión estable y desempleados. Se evidenciaron veintiún tipos de situaciones urgentes y de emergencia, de las cuales, en general, las más frecuentes fueron: crisis hipertensiva, trastornos neurovasculares y signos y síntomas. Entre los diversos cuidados que realizaron los participantes se encontraban, se encontró el uso de medicamentos orales, la es suscitación cardiopulmonar, la inhalación y el uso tópico de alcohol y hierbas, la ingesta de agua con azúcar y té, así como la verificación de signos vitales. Conclusión: A pesar de los desafíos que enfrenta la comunidad, los residentes demuestran una gran cantidad de bienvenida y disposición para aprender acerca de la atención adecuada. Ser muy receptivo con acciones que mejoran el acceso y la accesibilidad al servicio de salud. Objetivo: Descrever os cuidados realizados por moradores em casos de urgência e emergência em uma comunidade rural. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e descritivo, de natureza qualitativa. Em que foram sujeitos 42 moradores adultos, com o fechamento de amostra realizado por entrevista semiestruturada e saturação. A análise de dados foi por meio da análise ídeo-central. Resultados: A pesquisa seguiu com mulheres, em sua maioria, autodeclaradas pardas, na faixa etária de 23 a 87 anos, com 2º grau completo, vivendo em união estável e desempregadas. Foram evidenciados 21 tipos de situações de urgência e emergência, das quais, de modo geral, as mais frequentes foram: crise hipertensiva, afecções neuro-vasculares e sinais e sintomas. Dentre os cuidados variados realizados pelos participantes, foram encontrados, uso de medicamento via oral, Ressuscitação Cardiopulmonar, inalação e uso tópico de álcool e ervas, ingestão de água com açúcar e chá, bem como verificação de sinais vitais. Conclusão: Apesar dos desafios enfrentados pela comunidade, os moradores demonstram bastante acolhimento e disponibilidade em aprender sobre o cuidado adequado. Sendo bastante receptivos com ações que potencializem o acesso e acessibilidade ao serviço de saúde.

Advancements in DNA methods and biotechnology have enabled forensic scientists to explore the DNA evidence found as part of a criminal investigation on a much more comprehensive and predictive level. This has led to a rise in research into DNA intelligence tools such as phenotypic prediction (i.e., eye and hair colour) and inference of biogeographical ancestry. Both of which can be applied to gain further insights about a scene or sample in question. Although microorganisms have played a role in forensics for decades, investigations were focused on the pathogenicity aspect, mainly to determine the cause and time of death. Recent progress in studying the human microbiome has implicated the potential use of this data in forensics. Since each individual, place, or item has its own microbial pattern, a new suite of tools are now available to be exploited in criminal investigations. Although there is much interest and potential for these emerging metagenomic and microbial forensic tools, best practices and reference ranges need to be established before they are implemented. Here, we discuss existing DNA intelligence tools applied to forensic science, the application of microbial forensics and metagenomics along with the challenges and concerns that future developments entail.

Dissertação de mestrado integrado Arquitetura (área de especialização em Cultura Arquitetónica), A dissertação apresenta, investiga, e reflete, sobre os princípios que possam direcionar o conceito e relação entre a arquitetura e a diversidade. Reconhecidas as características do ser humano e das suas necessidades, propõe fomentar o espírito diversificado, através das abordagens filosófica e projetual do arquiteto. Analisa-se a evolução do conceito de diversidade funcional na sociedade e a sua relação com a arquitetura, as práticas que iniciaram e promovem a inclusão, os diversos métodos de interpretações, e as filosofias atitudinais. A cultura de pensamento pode ser o impulso gerador de novas interpretações e formas de projetar, na procura de uma linguagem comum. Sem tomar partido de nenhuma forma, nem estabelecer contacto normativo com as necessidades, a inquietação filosófica, a atitude e abordagem podem ser a cultura de pensamento e trabalho a aplicar. Neste sentido propõe-se identificar e perceber como os princípios morais podem influenciar e caracterizar a atitude arquitetónica diversificada. Primeiramente, através das formas humanas, do desenho e das representações, do entendimento da capacidade da população diversificada, e seguidamente através do desenho arquitetónico da experiência espacial, da exploração sensorial e dos elementos de acesso., The dissertation presents, research, and reflects on the principles that can direct the concept and relationship between architecture and diversity. Recognizing the characteristics of the human being and his needs, it proposes to foster a diversified spirit, through the philosophical and design approaches of the architect. The investigation analyzes the evolution of the concept of functional diversity in society and its relationship with architecture, the practices that initiated and promote inclusion, the different methods of interpretation, and attitudinal philosophies. The culture of thought can be the driving force behind new interpretations and ways of designing, in the search for a common language. Without taking sides in any way, or establishing normative contact with needs, the philosophical restlessness, attitude and approach can be the culture of thought and work to be applied. In this sense, it is proposed to identify and understand how moral principles can influence and characterize the diversified architectural attitude. First, through human forms, drawing and representations, understanding the capacity of the diverse population, and then, through the architectural design of spatial experience, sensory exploration and access elements.

O presente artigo pretende dar a conhecer os resultados da implementação do projeto 100 RISCOS, promovido pela APF Madeira, com o apoio do Programa Gilead Génese. O projeto visou a implementação do teste rápido de diagnóstico do Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana/Síndrome de Imunodeficiência Adquirida (VIH/SIDA) na Região da Madeira. Existe uma oscilação anual no número de novos casos. Em 2015 registaram-se 33 novos casos, 65% já em estádio tardio, em 2016, 8 casos e em 2017, 24 casos (Serviço de Infectocontagiosas da RAM, EPE). Estes casos estão localizados maioritariamente no Funchal, seguido de Câmara de Lobos e Santa Cruz. No total existem 634 portadores referenciados na Região Autónoma da Madeira. Foram disponibilizados gratuitamente e de forma confidencial serviços em saúde sexual e reprodutiva com destaque do teste diagnóstico VIH, aconselhamento pré e pós teste, sinalização e encaminhamentos, realização de sessões de sensibilização e educação para a saúde. Foram executados 500 testes de diagnóstico, em contexto comunitário, verificando-se que o maior número de indivíduos foi do género feminino, residentes no Funchal e de nacionalidade Portuguesa. A faixa etária predominante foi igual ou superior a 49 anos, sendo os heterossexuais os que registaram um maior número de procura do teste. Destaca-se as relações sexuais desprotegidas como o comportamento de risco mais frequente e motivo de realização do teste rápido. This article aims to present the results of the implementation of the 100 RISCOS Project. This project aimed at implementing the rapid HIV/AIDS diagnostic test in the Madeira Region, with an annual oscillation in the number of new cases. In 2015 there were 33 new cases, 65% in the late stage, in 2016, 8 cases and in 2017, 24 cases (RAM Infection-Contagious Service, EPE). These cases are located mainly in Funchal, followed by Câmara de Lobos and Santa Cruz. In total there are 634 carriers referenced in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. Reproductive sexual health services were provided free of charge and confidential, with emphasis on the HIV diagnostic test, pre and posttest counseling, signaling and referrals, sensitization sessions and health education. A total of 500 diagnostic tests were performed in community contexts, with the highest number of females living in Funchal and Portuguese nationality. The predominant age group was 49 years or more, and heterosexuals had the highest number of test searches. Unprotected sex is highlighted as the most frequent risk behavior and reason for performing the rapid test.

Introduction: With Freud and Lacan, especially, we see that it is impossible to speak of a unattached subject of what Lacan conceptualizes as the great Other, since the subject of psychoanalysis is the subject of the unconscious, and is as relational, so that all the processes that make up its constitution only occur from the ways in which the subject relates to this Other. Thus, we can say that the subject can only organize from what the Other organizes in him, and will give up the joy that can travel along the path of desire and enter into the culture. Objectives: To identify the role of the Other in the constitution of the subject and to carry out a brief bibliographical review of the concept of Other in the Lacanian work - not without seeking its basis in the Freudian work - regarding the constitution of the subjects, resorting to the exposition of a clinical case. Description: This is a service performed for a year, with an 11-year-old boy, in a Psychology Service of a University whose report on his cadastral record reported that his grandmother sought care for him because he was an aggressive child because he was thrown in the garbage by the mother and not be recognized by the father. Conclusion: During the analytical follow-up it was possible to note the patient's relations with this Other, but also, to enable that in these relations he would position himself from another place. Introdução: Com Freud e Lacan, principalmente, vemos que é impossível falar de um sujeito desatrelado do que Lacan conceitua como o grande Outro, pois o sujeito da psicanálise é o sujeito do inconsciente, e o é enquanto relacional, de modo que todos os processos que compõem sua constituição só se dão a partir dos modos como o sujeito se relaciona com este Outro. Assim, podemos dizer que o sujeito só se organiza a partir do que o Outro organiza nele, e será abrindo mão do gozo que poderá percorrer a via do desejo e se inserir na cultura. Objetivos: Identificar o papel do Outro na constituição do sujeito e realizar uma breve revisão bibliográfica do conceito de Outro na obra lacaniana – não sem buscar suas bases na obra freudiana - no que concerne à constituição dos sujeitos, recorrendo à exposição de um caso clínico. Descrição: Trata-se de um atendimento realizado por um ano, com um menino de 11 anos, em um Serviço de Psicologia de uma Universidade cujo relato de sua ficha cadastral relatava que sua avó buscou atendimento para ele por ser uma criança agressiva por ter sido jogado no lixo pela mãe e não ser reconhecido pelo pai. Conclusão:Durante o acompanhamento analítico foi possível notar as relações do paciente com esse Outro, mas também, possibilitar que nessas relações ele se posicionasse de um lugar outro.

Fundação de Apoio a Pesquisa e à Inovação Tecnológica do Estado de Sergipe - FAPITEC/SE The growing concern about the environment raises questions about the effects of economic growth on environmental degradation. One of the most relevant contemporary environmental problems is global warming, whose main cause is the intensification of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions in the atmosphere. Historically, developed countries are primarily responsible for global warming, but in recent decades developing countries, among them the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China), have continuously increased their emissions. Therefore, the dissertation consists of two essays and aims to study the GHG emissions of the BRIC countries from the input-output matrices and GHG emissions from the World Input-Output Database (WIOD). In the first test, the structural decomposition analysis method is used to decompose the factors responsible for the evolution of the BRIC emissions from 1995 to 2009. The main results indicate that there was no significant change in the emission profile of the countries. In Brazil, agricultural exports was the factor that contributed most to the increase of emissions in the period. In Russia, the intermediate demand of the industrial sector, mainly electricity and gas and water supply, stood out. In India and China, the final demand for industrial sectors had the greatest participation in increasing both countries' emissions. It is observed that the increase of the emissions of the emerging countries has occurred concomitant to the stabilization in developed countries, fomenting the hypothesis of pollution escape from the relations of international trade. In this sense, the second essay aims at structurally analyzing international trade from the input-output method, and identifying the emissions embodied in the BRIC countries' exports and imports in 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2009. The main results indicate that the four BRIC countries were net exporters of GHG emissions in the analyzed period, with particular emphasis on Russia. A crescente preocupação com o meio ambiente desperta questionamentos acerca dos efeitos do crescimento econômico sobre a degradação ambiental. Um dos problemas ambientais contemporâneos de maior destaque é o aquecimento global, que tem como principal causa a intensificação das emissões de gases de efeito estufa na atmosfera. Historicamente, os países desenvolvidos são os principais responsáveis pelo aquecimento global, mas nas últimas décadas os países em desenvolvimento têm aumentado continuamente suas emissões, dentre eles estão os países do BRIC (Brasil, Rússia, Índia e China). Diante disso, a dissertação consta de dois ensaios e objetiva estudar as emissões de GEE dos países do BRIC a partir das matrizes de insumo-produto e emissões setoriais de GEE da World Input-Output Database (WIOD). No primeiro ensaio utiliza-se o método de análise de decomposição estrutural para decompor os fatores responsáveis pela evolução das emissões do BRIC de 1995 a 2009. Os principais resultados indicam que não houve mudança significativa no perfil de emissão dos países. No Brasil, a exportação agropecuária mostrou ser o fator que mais contribuiu para o aumento das emissões no período. Na Rússia destacou-se a demanda intermediária do setor industrial, sobretudo eletricidade e fornecimento de gás e água. Na Índia e na China, a demanda final por setores industriais foi o que apresentou maior participação no aumento das emissões dos países. Observa-se que o aumento das emissões dos países emergentes tem ocorrido concomitante a estabilização em países desenvolvidos, fomentando a hipótese de fuga da poluição a partir das relações de comércio internacional. Nesse sentido, o segundo ensaio objetiva analisar estruturalmente o comércio internacional a partir do método de insumo-produto, e identificar as emissões incorporadas nas exportações e importações dos países do BRIC em 1995, 2000, 2005 e 2009. Os principais resultados indicam que os quatro países do BRIC foram exportadores líquidos de emissão de GEE no período analisado, com destaque para a Rússia. São Cristóvão, SE
