The combined application of manure and chemical fertilizers has been recognized as a critical factor driving significant changes in crop yield and nutrient use efficiency, holding the potential to optimize agricultural management to achieve high yields. In this 40-year study, we investigated the effect of manure amendment on soybean and maize yields, water and nitrogen use efficiencies (WUE and NUE), and water and mineral N storage at 0–100 cm soil depths from 2017 to 2018 to explore the optimization of fertilization management strategies for soybean and maize production in Northeast China. To elucidate the impact of chemical fertilizers and manure, twelve treatments—control (CK); single N fertilizer at a low rate (N1) and that at a high rate (N2); N1, phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizer (N1PK); manure alone at 13.5 and 27 t ha−1 (M1 and M2); and those combined with N, P, or K fertilizer (M1N1, M1N2, and M1N1PK and M2N1, M2N2, and M2N1PK)—were selected and studied. The results showed that long-term amendment with manure significantly increased crop biomass and yield in the soybean–maize–maize rotation system. Combining with manure increased the WUE, the partial factor productivity of N fertilizer (PFPN), and N physiological efficiency (PEN) in both the soybean and maize seasons; conserved soil water (mainly at 40–60 cm); and increased soil N retention (in the upper 60 cm layer), which reduced the risk of N leaching, with a better effect being observed after the application of 13.5 t ha−1 manure. These results provide insight into the potential of using fertilization management strategies that include amendment with 13.5 t ha−1 manure in combination with N, P, and K fertilizer in the maize season and only chemical fertilizer in the soybean season, as these results indicate that such strategies can achieve high yields and be used to implement agricultural sustainable development in brown soil regions in Northeast China. The probiotic Limosilactobacillus reuteri DSM 17938 produces anti-inflammatory effects in scurfy (SF) mice, a model characterized by immune dysregulation, polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, and X-linked inheritance (called IPEX syndrome in humans), caused by regulatory T cell (Treg) deficiency and is due to a Foxp3 gene mutation. Considering the pivotal role of lipids in autoimmune inflammatory processes, we investigated alterations in the relative abundance of lipid profiles in SF mice (± treatment with DSM 17938) compared to normal WT mice. We also examined the correlation between plasma lipids and gut microbiota and circulating inflammatory markers. We noted a significant upregulation of plasma lipids associated with autoimmune disease in SF mice, many of which were downregulated by DSM 17938. The upregulated lipids in SF mice demonstrated a significant correlation with gut bacteria known to be implicated in the pathogenesis of various autoimmune diseases. Chronic hepatitis in SF livers responded to DSM 17938 treatment with a reduction in hepatic inflammation. Altered gene expression associated with lipid metabolism and the positive correlation between lipids and inflammatory cytokines together suggest that autoimmunity leads to dyslipidemia with impaired fatty acid oxidation in SF mice. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the changes of choroidal blood perfusion in different layers and quadrants and its possible related factors after 1 h visual task by augmented reality (AR) device in two‐dimensional (2D) and three‐dimensional (3D) mode, respectively. Methods: Thirty healthy subjects aged 22–37 years watched the same video source in 2D and 3D mode separately using AR glasses for 1 h with a one‐week interval. Swept‐source optical coherence tomography angiography (SS‐OCTA) was performed before and immediately after watching to acquire choroidal thickness (ChT), three‐dimensional choroidal vascularity index (CVI) of large‐ and middle‐sized choroidal vessels and choriocapillaris flow voids (FV%) at macular and peripapillary area. Near point of accommodation (NPA) and accommodative facility (AF) were examined to evaluate the accommodative ability. Pupil diameters by infrared‐automated pupillometer under scotopic, mesopic and photopic condition were also obtained. Results: Compared with pre‐visual task, the subfoveal CVI decreased from 0.406 ± 0.097 to 0.360 ± 0.102 after 2D watching (p < 0.001) and to 0.368 ± 0.102 after 3D watching (p = 0.002). Pupil sizes under different illuminance conditions became smaller after both 2D and 3D watching (all p < 0.001). AF increased after both 2D and 3D watching (both p < 0.05). NPA receded in post‐3D watching (p = 0.017) while a not significant tendency was observed in post‐2D. Conclusion: A reduction in subfoveal choroidal blood flow accompanied with pupil constriction was observed immediately after 1 h visual task using AR glasses in 2D and 3D mode. Accommodative facility improved after 2D and 3D watching with AR glasses, whereas decrease in the maximum accommodation power was only found in 3D mode. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Social networks have an important role in the distribution of ideas. With the rapid development of the social networks, identifying the influential nodes provides a chance to turn the new potential of global information spread into reality. The measurement of the spreading capabilities of nodes is an attractive challenge in social networks analysis. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to identify the influential nodes in complex networks. The proposed method determines the spreading capability of a node based on its local and global positions. The degree centrality is improved by the Shannon entropy to measure the local influence of nodes. The k-shell method is improved by the clustering coefficient to measure the global influence of nodes. To rank the importance of nodes, the entropy weighting method is used to calculate the weight for the local and global influences. The Vlsekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje method is used to integrate the local and global influences of a node and obtain its importance. The experiments are conducted on 13 real-world networks to evaluate the performance of the proposed method. The abnormal fluctuations of sulfur dioxide (SO2) and its derivatives are closely associated with various physiological and pathological progresses in biological systems. Herein, we have developed two fluorescent and colorimetric probes based on a hemicyanine dye for the detection of SO2 derivatives and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in vitro and live cells. The response mechanisms involve an SO2‐derivative‐mediated nucleophilic addition reaction to the double bond and subsequent H2O2‐promoted elimination of bisulfite. As well as having excellent photophysical properties, the probe with higher fluorescence efficiency is further applied for live cell imaging, and it is found that it can solely accumulate in mitochondria and track SO2 derivatives and H2O2 in live cells. The development of mobile internet has made it easier for negative emotions, cognitions and behaviours expressed by customers to be spread, and the damage caused by negative customer engagement behaviours (NCEBs) to the company's brand value and reputation has gradually been amplified. Therefore, this study aims to explore the formation process of NCEBs in online brand community by combining qualitative method with quantitative method. Xiaomi Community was selected as the data source platform, using Python programming language to crawl users' comments in '11Ultra circle' and machine learning methods to obtain negative emotional polarity comments. The text coding and classification of negative emotion polarity comments are mainly based on manual coding and supplemented by machine learning. Perform binary logistic regression on the classified data to obtain the impact of various factors on NCEBs. The results showed that there were differences in the impact of different factors on NCEBs. This article obtains a different result from existing literature, that is, cognition and emotion are no longer necessary factors for the generation of NCEBs. Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) are the two most common neurodegenerative diseases with markedly different pathological features of β-amyloid (Aβ) plaques and α-synuclein (αS) Lewy bodies (LBs), respectively. However, clinical overlaps in symptoms and pathologies between AD and PD are commonly observed caused by the cross-interaction between Aβ and αS. To uncover the molecular mechanisms behind their overlapping symptoms and pathologies, we computationally investigated the impact of αS on an Aβ monomer and dimerization using atomistic discrete molecular dynamics simulations (DMD). Our results revealed that αS could directly interact with Aβ monomers and dimers, thus forming β-sheet-rich oligomers, including potentially toxic β-barrel intermediates. The binding hotspot involved the second half of the N-terminal domain and NAC region in αS, along with residues 10–21 and 31–42 in Aβ. In their hetero-complex, the binding hotspot primarily assumed a β-sheet core buried inside, which was dynamically shielded by the highly charged, amyloid-resistant C-terminus of αS. Because the amyloid prion region was the same as the binding hotspot being buried, their fibrillization may be delayed, causing the toxic oligomers to increase. This study sheds light on the intricate relationship between Aβ and αS and provides insights into the overlapping pathology of AD and PD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Dynamic interaction with the immune system profoundly regulates tumor cell dormancy. However, it is unclear how immunological cues trigger cancer cell-intrinsic signaling pathways for entering into dormancy. Here, we show that IFN-[beta] treatment induced tumor-repopulating cells (TRC) to enter dormancy through an indolamine 2,3-dioxygenase/kynurenine/ aryl hydrocarbon receptor/p27-dependent (IDO/Kyn/AhR/p27-dependent) pathway. Strategies to block this metabolic circuitry did not relieve dormancy, but led to apoptosis of dormant TRCs in murine and human melanoma models. Specifically, blocking AhR redirected IFN-[beta] signaling to STAT3 phosphorylation through both tyrosine and serine sites, which subsequently facilitated STAT3 nuclear translocation and subsequent binding to the p53 promoter in the nucleus. Upregulation of p53 in turn disrupted the pentose phosphate pathway, leading to excessive ROS production and dormant TRC death. Additionally, in melanoma patients, high expression of IFN-[beta] correlated with tumor cell dormancy.
