This paper deals with the description of the threats to mobile devices and suggests the security software that provides comprehensive protection of personal data and mobile telephone from malware and illegal activity of cyber criminals. The developed security software Green Head protects personal smartphones of majority of brands from spam, viruses and unauthorized access. It is an innovative software product ensuring information security of mobile phones from all currently existing threats that today does not have any full analogs. Green Head security software warns the user about wiretapping, which keeps professional and personal confidential information intact. The developed security software is universal for people using mobile phones in professional and personal life because any stored information is protected from various attacks.

A non-Markovian theory of population dynamics is to simulate the anti-cancer drug distribution between malignant and the hosting normal cell pools. The model takes into account both the cell life span and the proliferation rate differences. This new simulation approach looks promising for its potential to optimize a chemotherapeutic strategy by choosing the scheme with a higher degree of the drug-tumor selectivity. The pre-test designed simulation mode fits nicely the experimental data on Porphylleren-MC16 (PMC16) pharmacokinetics patterns including the allometric plots revealed for this novel medicinal nanoparticle possessing some anti-cancer potential and intervening into the oxygen-independent ATP production mechanisms.

For future photolithography processes, the wavelength of 6 nm may offer improved imaging specs. The perspective of this technology however, will depend critically on the performance of multilayer reflective mirrors, which are likely to be based on La/B. One of the issues is formation of LaxBy compounds at the interfaces, which decreases the optical contrast and reduce the reflectivity. To prevent such chemical interaction, passivation of La by nitrogen has been investigated. We successfully synthesized LaN layers that resulted in a new world record reflectivity of 64% at 6.6 nm at near normal incidence. This reduces the gap to the target of 70%, desired for a next generation lithography.

Pirogoff Russian State Medical University, Moscow, RussiaAbstract: The protective properties of the blood–brain barrier (BBB) are conferred by the intricate architecture of its endothelium coupled with multiple specific transport systems expressed on the surface of endothelial cells (ECs) in the brain's vasculature. When the stringent control of the BBB is disrupted, such as following EC damage, substances that are safe for peripheral tissues but toxic to neurons have easier access to the central nervous system (CNS). As a consequence, CNS disorders, including degenerative diseases, can occur independently of an individual's age. Although the BBB is crucial in regulating the biochemical environment that is essential for maintaining neuronal integrity, it limits drug delivery to the CNS. This makes it difficult to deliver beneficial drugs across the BBB while preventing the passage of potential neurotoxins. Available options include transport of drugs across the ECs through traversing occludins and claudins in the tight junctions or by attaching drugs to one of the existing transport systems. Either way, access must specifically allow only the passage of a particular drug. In general, the BBB allows small molecules to enter the CNS; however, most drugs with the potential to treat neurological disorders other than infections have large structures. Several mechanisms, such as modifications of the built-in pumping-out system of drugs and utilization of nanocarriers and liposomes, are among the drug-delivery systems that have been tested; however, each has its limitations and constraints. Chromatin immunoprecipitation followed by deep sequencing (ChIP-seq) experiments are widely used to determine, within entire genomes, the occupancy sites of any protein of interest, including, for example, transcription factors, RNA polymerases, or histones with or without various modifications. In addition to allowing the determination of occupancy sites within one cell type and under one condition, this method allows, in principle, the establishment and comparison of occupancy maps in various cell types, tissues, and conditions. Such comparisons require, however, that samples be normalized. Widely used normalization methods that include a quantile normalization step perform well when factor occupancy varies at a subset of sites, but may miss uniform genome-wide increases or decreases in site occupancy. We describe a spike adjustment procedure (SAP) that, unlike commonly used normalization methods intervening at the analysis stage, entails an experimental step prior to immunoprecipitation. A constant, low amount from a single batch of chromatin of a foreign genome is added to the experimental chromatin. This “spike” chromatin then serves as an internal control to which the experimental signals can be adjusted. We show that the method improves similarity between replicates and reveals biological differences including global and largely uniform changes.
