While extensive research has explored the relationship between HRM and various organizational and employee outcomes, there remains a significant gap in the literature regarding the role of HRM in discouraging extreme work. To address this gap, building mainly on stakeholder theory, we specifically propose that HR managers' ethical leadership negatively influences precarious work, which serves as a catalyst for extreme work cultures by exacerbating workloads, prolonging working hours, and intensifying physical and mental stress. Importantly, we propose that sustainable HRM mediates the association between HR managers' ethical leadership and precarious work. Finally, the present study hypothesizes that HR managers' political skill acts as a boundary condition for the effects of HR managers' ethical leadership on sustainable HRM and precarious work. Data collected from two sources (260 employees and the same number of HR managers) employing a time-lagged design supported our hypotheses. Other than theoretical contributions to different important knowledge areas, such as ethical leadership, HRM, and precarious work, we offer a number of practical implications that could help organizations counter extreme work and its negative repercussions mainly for employees. The current research reports the synthesis of a library of thiosemicarbazones (3-16) through a two-step chemical transformation. All the synthesized derivatives were purified and fully characterized through mass spectrometry, NMR spectroscopy (1H-, and 13C-NMR), and IR spectroscopy. All the members of the synthesized library were found to be new except compound 8. The synthesized library was screened for its inhibition potential against the urease enzyme. Almost all the compounds exhibited potent activity with the IC50 = 5.3 ± 0.8 − 15.5 ± 0.6 µM in comparison to the thiourea and acetohydroxamic acid used as standard (IC50 = 21.1 ± 0.2, 20.5 ± 0.4 µM). While significant activity was exhibited by compounds 14 and 15 with the IC50 = 23.6 ± 0.6 and 27.3 ± 1.2 µM. Furthermore, kinetic studies were carried out to determine the inhibition mode and molecular docking was employed to recognize the ligand-enzyme interactions. Thereby, the docking results are well in the direction of the in vitro results. Compounds ((E)-N-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)-2-(4-fluorobenzylidene)hydrazine-1-carbothioamide (3) and (E)-2-(2-chlorobenzylidene)-N-(2-fluorophenyl) hydrazinecarbothioamide (5) were identified as the most potent inhibitors of urease by both the in vitro and in silico studies. Nurses have always been working as front-line workers in the health care crises and have faced colossal challenges due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of this study was to examine the impact of occupational stress on emotional responses and psychological wellbeing of nursing staff. It also investigated the mediating role of emotional responses between occupational stress and psychological well-being. It examined the role of workplace hazing on occupational stress and emotional responses as a moderator. As front-line healthcare providers, nurses must interact with patients and endure great emotional and psychological strain. PLS-SEM technique was used to analyze the obtained data, Findings revealed that emotional responses mediated the impact of stress on nurses' well-being and the relationship between emotional responses and psychological well-being is significant. However, the role of workplace hazing as a moderator was not supported. It is recommended for researchers to employ methods of qualitative research to investigate nurses' actual experiences with work-related stress and coping strategies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

During study of Ondansetron and Ranitidine in bulk and dosage form, a forced degradation study has been carried out with development and validation of RP-HPLC method. At a flow rate of 1 ml/min, the chromatographic conditions were optimized using a mobile phase of Acetonitrile: Water (0.1% OPA) (25:75). The detection was carried out at 314 nm. Particle size capacity of column was 5 μm and Column (C18) of 4.6 × 250 mm dimension was used as a stationary phase. Forced degradation or stability studies was carried out by exposing a drug solution into four different stress conditions like Hydrolytic, Acidic, Alkaline, and oxidative. The method was validated according to ICH guidelines for linearity, Accuracy, precision (Interday), LOD and LOQ. The response was found to be linear in concentration range of 50-300 mmg/ml of Ranitidine and 4-20 mgm/ml of Ondansetron. During Interday Precision of Ranitidine and Ondansetron, %RSD found were less than 2%. LOD of Ranitidine & Ondansetron was found to be 2.1518 and 0.1158, respectively. LOQ of Ranitidine and Ondansetron was found to be 6.5207 and 0.3509, respectively. Background Frailty is increasingly recognized as a predictor of surgical outcomes; however, its utility in anterior cranial fossa (ACF) surgery remains unclear. We analyzed whether age and frailty are independent predictors of outcomes after ACF surgery using a retrospective cohort study. Methods The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program database was queried, by Current Procedural Terminology codes, for ACF procedures in 2005 to 2020. Cases included open approaches, endoscopic approaches, and all tumor types except for pituitary adenoma. A propensity score–matched data set was analyzed via multiple logistic regression. Results Unmatched multivariate analysis of ACF cases demonstrated that severe frailty (modified 5-item frailty index [mFI-5] ≥ 3) was independently associated with having any (odds ratio [OR] = 3.67) and minor (OR = 5.00) complications (both p < 0.001). Analysis of individual mFI-5 components demonstrated poor functional status was significantly associated with any (OR = 3.39), major (OR = 3.59), and minor (OR = 3.14) complications (all p < 0.001). After propensity score matching, only age was modestly impactful on minor complications (OR = 1.02) and extended length of stay (eLOS) (OR = 1.02) (p < 0.001). Frailty did not maintain its predictive ability after matching. Nonindependent functional status, as a subcomponent of mFI maintained significant predictive ability for any (OR = 4.94), major (OR = 4.68), and minor (OR = 4.80) complications and eLOS (OR = 2.92) (all p < 0.001). Conclusion After propensity score matching, age demonstrated a greater ability to predict postoperative complications in ACF surgery than frailty. Rather than age or frailty, functional status served as a better outcome predictor and potential guide for patient counseling. Further validation of these findings in multicenter or disease-specific studies is warranted as well as aims to preoperatively improve functional status in ACF surgery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
