Este artigo se propõe a compreender como se relacionam os aspectos ostensivo, performativo e artefatos numa rotina organizacional realizada em uma IFES. A pesquisa adotou abordagem qualitativa e realizou um estudo de caso único. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas, observação não participante e análise de documentos. Na análise dos dados formaram-se categorias de acordo com o método da comparação constante apresentado por Merriam. Os resultados evidenciam que a rotina é realizada por setores que executam diferentes etapas e embora parte das etapas seja pautada na inserção de dados em sistemas de informação, identificou-se que os participantes acrescentam pequenas variações como planilhas de controle. Em relação ao alinhamento entre os aspectos, nota-se que ocorre entre os aspectos performativo-artefatos e não ocorre no ostensivo-artefatos e performativo-ostensivo.

International audience; The biodegradation of hexachlorocyclohexanes (HCHs) is known to be accompanied by isotope fractionation of carbon (13C/12C), but no systematic studies were performed on abiotic degradation of HCH isomers by iron (II) minerals. In this study, we explored the carbon isotope fractionation of α-HCH during dechlorination by FeS nanoparticles at different pH values. The results of three different experiments showed that the apparent rate constants during dehalogenation of α-HCH by FeS increased with pH. The lowest apparent rate constant value α-HCH during dehalogenation by FeS was 0.009 d−1 at pH value of 2.4, while the highest was 1.098 d−1 at pH 11.8. α-HCH was completely dechlorinated by FeS only at pH values 9.9 and 11.8, while the corresponding apparent rate constants were 0.253 d−1 and 1.098 d−1, respectively. Regardless of the pH used, the 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (1,2,4-TCB), 1,2-dichlorobenzene (1,2-DCB), and benzene were the dominant degradation products of α-HCH. An enrichment factor (εC) of −4.7 ± 1.3‰ was obtained for α-HCH using Rayleigh model, which is equivalent to an apparent kinetic isotope effect (AKIEC) value of 1.029 ± 0.008 for dehydrohalogenation, and of 1.014 ± 0.004 for dihaloelimination, respectively. The magnitude of isotope fractionation from this study suggests that abiotic isotope fractionation by FeS must be taken into account in anoxic sediments and aquifers contaminated with HCH isomers, when high concentrations of FeS are present in the above-mentioned anoxic environments.

ObjectiveNA.BackgroundSubacute encephalitides like anti-DDPX encephalitis are challenging diagnoses due to their unusual presentations. Anti-DPPX encephalitis usually involves gastrointestinal, nervous, and respiratory systems. Common symptoms include diarrhea, weight loss, cognitive dysfunction, amnesia, myoclonus, tremor, and exaggerated startle response.Design/MethodsNA.ResultsA 48-year-old man with no significant past medical history was referred to the neurology clinic to evaluate his tremor. The patient's first symptoms included alternating diarrhea and constipation, weight loss, fatigue, generalized pain, chest pain, dyspnea, and leg cramps. Several emergency departments, primary care physicians, and specialty clinic visits did not yield a diagnosis. During the first neurology clinic visit, he reported new urinary symptoms, chills, insomnia, tremor, anxiety, and depression. His physical exam revealed exaggerated physiological tremor only. During the second neurology clinic visit and resultant urgent admission, he reported new symptoms of forgetfulness, inattention, muscle jerks, numbness in the extremities, and seizure-like episodes. His exam was remarkable for mild left-sided rigidity and MOCA of 23/30 with impairment in delayed recall. The patient's MRI brain with and without contrast and spot EEG were unremarkable. CSF studies were negative except for protein elevation with lymphocytic pleocytosis. The patient's autoimmune CSF panel was positive for anti-DPPX antibodies, though available only after discharge. The patient was urgently seen in the neuroimmunology clinic and received a steroid course and monthly rituximab. The patient is improved with the treatments. His repeat MOCA 28/30 and returned to working full-time.ConclusionsAnti-DPPX antibody encephalitis has been reported in a handful of cases in the literature. It has a subacute presentation with often a delay to diagnosis–an average diagnosis time of 8 months after the onset of symptoms. We present the case to raise awareness about anti-DPPX encephalitis, especially its typical clinical triad of GI dysmotility, cognitive decline, and myoclonus/tremor.

The organizational routines reveal themselves as an important mechanism in the orgnizational dynamics. Their study has been through diferent visions over time, since were initially perceived as simple mechanisms of stability and reliability, starting to be seen as inductive instruments of innovation and change. This evolution of understanding still occurs and it’s necessary to know how the organizational routines studies may contribute to the organizational develpment. This particular study has the purpose to present a bibliometric analysis about organizational routines, characterizing the most recent panorama about the subject matter. Scientific articles about organizational routines were surveyed at Scielo, Scopus and Web of Science databases in the period from 2015 to 2019, then analysed and labeled by journals, countries of origin, keywords, number of citations, associated themes and study types. The results points out that the most recent studies share the modern view that the organizational routines are an organizational dynamics element, which allows the process of change. The bibliometric analysis, besides of exhibit a reliable and replicable method to analyse a particular field of study, has identified a scarcity of research on this matter in Brazil, showing a gap between the scientific knowledge produced nationally and abroad. The research has also indicated several associated themes like routines dynamics, innovation, change, learning, dynamic capabilities and stability, allowing the managers to apply new approaches to the organizational routines in theirs organizations. Las rutinas organizacionales son un mecanismo importante en la dinámica de una organización. Su estudio ha pasado por diferentes visiones a lo largo del tiempo, ya que inicialmente se entendieron como meros mecanismos de estabilidad y confiabilidad, pasando a ser vistos como instrumentos que inducen la innovación y el cambio. Esta evolución de la comprensión aún ocurre y es necesario comprender cómo el estudio de las rutinas organizacionales puede contribuir al desarrollo organizacional. Este estudio tiene como objetivo presentar un análisis bibliométrico sobre las rutinas organizacionales, caracterizando las investigaciones más recientes sobre el tema. Se buscaron artículos publicados sobre rutinas organizacionales en las bases de datos Scielo, Scopus y Web of Science para el período 2015-2019, habiendo sido analizados y clasificados en cuanto a revistas, países de origen, palabras clave, número de citas, temas asociados y tipo de estudio. Los resultados muestran que los estudios más recientes comparten la visión moderna de que las rutinas organizacionales son hoy un elemento de la dinámica organizacional, permitiendo el proceso de cambio. El análisis bibliométrico, además de presentar un método confiable y replicable para analizar un campo de estudio en particular, identificó una falta de investigación sobre el tema en Brasil, lo que indica que existe una brecha entre el conocimiento científico producido a nivel nacional y en el exterior. La investigación también indicó varios temas asociados como la dinámica de las rutinas, la innovación, el cambio, el aprendizaje, las capacidades dinámicas y la estabilidad, lo que permite a los gerentes aplicar nuevos enfoques a las rutinas organizacionales en sus organizaciones. As relações humanas por vezes acabam trazendo bastante complexibilidade, o que passa a exigir dos indivíduos um melhor e maior aperfeiçoamento na forma de se comunidade a fim de reduzir os conflitos existentes. Todavia, o conflito pode ser um fator gerador de mudança, um estimulador de dinamismo no encontro com o outro ou os outros. Sobretudo, está neste pensamento a relevância do papel da gestão frente aos conflitos, onde o mesmo tem que fomentar uma mediação eficaz, pois é da escola, ademais, que se espera a transformação dessa realidade, ela é chamada ao desafio de estimular um juízo crítico e formar crianças e adolescentes para a cidadania. Em um cenário de rápidas transformações, a escola deve assumir um compromisso de formação continua, onde o gestor escolar possui um importante papel como mediador do processo educativo, a fim de trabalhar a gestão participativa na busca de uma melhor resolução dos conflitos escolares. De fato, à escola tende todo processo socioeducativo e cabe à gestão escolar elaborar meios eficientes para se chegar a esse objetivo. Nesse sentido indaga-se: Quais os avanços e dificuldades enfrentadas para o desenvolvimento da Gestão Democrática na escola pública dentro da resolução dos conflitos? Entende-se que para a gestão possa ter condição de exercer atribuições dentro do contexto escolar, a fim trabalhar as habilidades de articular com os conflitos e gerenciar de forma a harmonizar o ambiente. No ambiente escolar as diversas demandas inerentes ao gestor escolar, incide sobre ele buscar gerenciar as questões, e assim, partindo da premissa de que os conflitos devem ser percebidos pela liderança como algo que pode ser convertido dentro de algo construtivo e democrático. A presente pesquisa fora realizada na EMEIF Leandro Alves Correia, tendo sido trabalhada com cunho quali-quantitativo, que articula as dimensões quantitativa e qualitativa do tema proposto disponibilizando o contato direto entre a gestão escolar e o processo de ensino aprendizagem e temas afins, partindo da análise dos questionários, identificando as lacunas deixadas ao abordar o conteúdo, que podem interferir de forma negativa na mediação dos conflitos por parte dos alunos, quando não se tem a relação com aulas.

Heavy metals are among the most persistent pollutants in the ecosystem due to their resistance at decomposition in natural condition. They have low solubility in water and tend to be adsorbed and accumulated on bottom sediments. Anthropogenic actions conduct to the discharge of heavy metals from various sources (industrial, urban, and/or agriculture) to rivers water that are ultimately immobilized in marine sediments under current action. In this work, an investigation of pollution and ecological risk in the Olt River waters is performed based on assessing the accumulation of heavy metals in sediments. Therefore, sediment samples were collected from 22 locations on the Olt River, in its middle and lower basin, and investigated by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry which allows us to measure very low elements concentration levels. Two main aspects were foreseen in this study: (i) determining the content and spatial distribution of heavy metals in the Olt River surface sediments, and (ii) assessing the pollution level based on various parameters, namely the contamination factor, the geo-accumulation, pollution load and Nemerow pollution indexes, the potential ecological risk, and risk assessment code. This work aims at assessing the pollution degree of the Olt River (Romania), based on the Canadian Water Quality (CWQI) index, by monitoring twenty twos locations along the middle and south part of the river basin for a period of four months, from March to October, during 2018. A comprehensive physico-chemical analysis involving major cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+), anions (Cl-, SO42-, N-NO3--) and general parameters (pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolve solids) was performed for this purpose. Results demonstrated that CWQI values classified the water in the investigated sectors of the river as fair (values ​​between 66.08 to 79.05), marginal (56.22 to 64.63) and good (value of 85.60). This method appears to be more systematic and provide comparative evaluation of the water quality in different seasons of the year. The results showed that there is a large variations in the parameters in different sections of the river due to different anthropogenic factors. Therefore, this index may be helpful as marker for the public to better understand the quality of water, but also as tool for water quality management.

Mining activities, in combination with accelerated urbanization growth and climate change, constitutes a major challenge for creating a sustainable development. Thus, the monitoring and assessment of mining effect is mandatory in understanding the impact on the primary physico-chemical characteristics of an environment. In this context, the paper presents the evolution of micro- and macro- nutrients in water, soil and sediment from two industrial areas from Romania (Copșa Mică industrial platform and Baia Sprie mining zone), in order to assess the impact of pollutants on ecosystems. Physico-chemical (pH, NH4+, NO3-, NO2-, TN, TP), base cations (Ca, Mg, Na and K) and micronutrients (Fe, Mn and Zn) have been analyzed in order to evaluate the quality of the environment. For some of the analyzed soils, the concentration of Zn, Mn and Fe exceeded the maximum permissible limits (MPL) imposed by the Romanian legislation, falling within the limit for Alert Thresholds for less sensitive soils. The correlation analysis on water quality parameters revealed that all parameters are more or less correlated with each other Person’s Correlation matrix. Overall, our results demonstrated that the knowledge of the physico-chemical regime of an environment is of great value in the determination of its productivity, usefulness and other characteristics which can facilitate further vegetation restoration and reconstruction and a sustainable development of the ecological environment in a polluted area.

There is a growing trend in food industry in combining safety and quality attributes of products with their distinct regional identity. In this study we used data on several elements (Cd, Cu, Cr, Zn, Pb and Ni) and phenolic compounds (gallic acid, syringic acid, p-coumaric acid, (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, trans-resveratrol, rutin, quercetin and vanillin) as complementary markers in the attempt to characterise and differentiate wines from three wine-growing areas (Murfatlar, Recas and Jidvei) of Romania, according to their geographical and varietal origin. Wines from south-eastern region (Murfatlar) were characterized by their lower content in Cu, Cr and Ni, compared with wines from western (Recas) and central (Jidvei) region, while the content of phenolic compounds in the wine samples showed a visible variation, depending both of the grape variety and geographical origin. The statistical processing tools applied to our results allowed robust di�erentiation between regions, wine varieties, and vintage year. The phenolic compounds (gallic acid, (+)-catechin, (-)-epicatechin, rutin, quercetin and resveratrol) showed the best correlations for the varietal discrimination of wines. Using discriminant analysis, a correct classification of the wines by variety was achieved in proportion of 88.89% (based only by phenolic compounds) and 92.59 % (based both on phenolic compounds and metals), revealing that the content of Cu, Cr and Ni is significant for discrimination. Moreover, a 100% successful classification of wines by region of origin was accomplished.

An important tributary of the Danube River, the Olt River, was characterized in its middle and lower catchment in terms of volatile organic compounds (1,2 -dichloroethane and perchlorethylene) and volatile aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene and xylene isomers) to better assess their transfer in the environmental compartments (air, water, sediment and biota). A fugacity based calculation model was applied to establish the bio-concentration factors (BCFs) that relates the compounds concentration from sediment-, water- or air- to the biota based on experimental data. Thus, conclusive suggestions can be achieved for a rapid preliminary risk assessment as support tool for the preventive measures in the contaminated areas resulting from accidental chemical discharges or continuous pollution. For thus, water and sediment samples were collected and analyzed by gas chromatography for the selected compounds, the results being applied as input data for the model. The modeling revealed the tendency of the investigated compounds to transfer from water section to air. Simulated values obtained for section sediment as validation tool, are comparable and compatible with the values obtained by analytical measurements, and thus a rapid estimation of the pollution level in the environmental compartment of interest can be achieved based on a limited number of analytical measurements. Thus, by applying the fugacity model to estimate a pollution footprint, conclusive indications for a rapid environmental risk assessment can be achieved. Um passo decisivo para o aprofundamento nos estudos sobre as praticas de governanca eletronica na administracao publica e a investigacao da producao academica sobre a tematica, de modo que se possa elaborar uma visao sistematizada do que diz a academia brasileira. Assim, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi analisar a producao academica nacional acerca do uso das tecnologias nas praticas de governanca eletronica no âmbito da gestao publica. Foi realizada uma revisao sistematica da literatura e os resultados apontaram diversos desafios, entre os quais a subutilizacao do potencial interativo do ambiente virtual, a desigualdade entre os cidadaos na acessibilidade aos portais publicos, a discrepância entre os diferentes municipios no que se refere a infraestrutura e a apropriacao das TICs, a inobservância de diversos aspectos da Lei de Acesso a Informacao - LAI. Conclui-se que os desafios identificados se referem, principalmente, a aspectos contextuais nos quais o ritmo da mudanca dos gestores publicos e a mobilizacao dos cidadaos encontram-se, muitas vezes, em descompasso com as possibilidades tecnologicas contemporâneas. http://dx.doi.org/10.21714/1679-18272019v17Esp.p134-148

As Instituições Públicas de Ensino Superior podem ser entendidas como grandes consumidoras de bens e serviços, no caso do Brasil. Para diminuir os impactos negativos desse consumo, essas entidades possuem função primordial na difusão e implantação de ideias sustentáveis. Assim, esse estudo investigou as práticas sustentáveis adotadas pelos técnicos administrativos da Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco – Unidade Acadêmica de Garanhuns (UFRPE/UAG), observando os eixos da Agenda Ambiental da Administração Pública (A3P), bem como o grau de conhecimento desses servidores sobre temáticas de sustentabilidade na Administração Pública. Utilizou-se como metodologia de abordagem o estudo de caso, sendo a pesquisa classificada como descritiva, de natureza qualitativa. Para o levantamento de dados, aplicou-se um questionário junto aos técnicos administrativos da Unidade e uma entrevista semiestruturada com o Diretor Administrativo. Os resultados demonstraram que na UFRPE/UAG existem várias iniciativas de ações sustentáveis, porém, não se percebeu nenhuma política institucional que vise o desenvolvimento sustentável da organização. Observou-se ainda que, os técnicos possuem conhecimento limitado sobre instrumentos de implantação de práticas sustentáveis, podendo acarretar dificuldades futuras para o estabelecimento dessas ações na Unidade estudada. A partir desses resultados, conclui-se que as medidas de sustentabilidade preconizadas pela A3P ainda não se encontram consolidadas na instituição.

Background: Activated microglia, which can be detected in vivo by 11C-PBR28 positron emission tomography (PET), represent a main component of MS pathology in the brain. Their role in the cerebellum is still unexplored, although cerebellar involvement in MS is frequent and accounts for disability progression. Objectives: We aimed at characterizing cerebellar neuroinflammation in MS patients compared to healthy subjects by combining 11C-PBR28 MRI-Positron Emission Tomography (MR-PET) with 7 Tesla (T) MRI and assessing its relationship with brain neuroinflammation and clinical outcome measures. Methods: Twenty-eight MS patients and 16 healthy controls underwent 11C-PBR28 MR-PET to measure microglia activation in normal appearing cerebellum and lesions segmented from 7 T scans. Patients were evaluated using the Expanded Disability Status Scale and Symbol Digit Modalities Test. 11C-PBR28 binding was assessed in regions of interest using 60–90 minutes standardized uptake values normalized by a pseudo-reference region in the brain normal appearing white matter. Multilinear regression was used to compare tracer uptake in MS and healthy controls and assess correlations with clinical scores. Results: In all cerebellar regions examined, MS patients showed abnormally increased tracer uptake, which correlated with cognitive and neurological disability. Conclusion: Neuroinflammation is widespread in the cerebellum of patients with MS and related to neurological disability and cognitive impairment.

O presente artigo consiste em uma análise jurídica das relações de consumo, em momento vivido pela pandemia de Covid-19, no que tange às compras de passagens terrestres, aéreas, ferroviárias, hidroviárias e pacotes turísticos. Vislumbra-se os princípios insculpidos no Código de Defesa do Consumidor, bem como as soluções trazidas pelo ordenamento brasileiro, por meio das leis nº 14.034/2020 e nº 14.046/2020, aprovadas para regular a matéria. Foi desenvolvido por meio de análises doutrinárias, legislativas e atualizações normativas, trazendo interdisciplinaridade do direito do consumidor com o direito empresarial, no contexto da pandemia. O método de pesquisa utilizado foi o indutivo e o material bibliográfico. Resultou em uma exposição sobre os direitos e deveres das partes envolvidas em relações de consumo, nos quais se verificam as modalidades de viagens e as limitações impostas pela pandemia, ensejando orientação para o cidadão leitor.

The producers of essential oils from the Republic of Moldova care about the quality of their products and at the same time, try to capitalize on the waste from processing. The purpose of the present study was to analyze the chemical composition of lavender (Lavanda angustifolia L.) essential oil and some by-products derived from its production (residual water, residual herbs), as well as to assess their “in vitro” antimicrobial activity. The gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of essential oils produced by seven industrial manufacturers led to the identification of 41 constituents that meant 96.80–99.79% of the total. The main constituents are monoterpenes (84.08–92.55%), followed by sesquiterpenes (3.30–13.45%), and some aliphatic compounds (1.42–3.90%). The high-performance liquid chromatography analysis allowed the quantification of known triterpenes, ursolic, and oleanolic acids, in freshly dried lavender plants and in the residual by-products after hydrodistillation of the essential oil. The lavender essential oil showed good antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Xanthomonas campestris, Erwinia carotovora at 300 μg/mL concentration, and Erwinia amylovora, Candida utilis at 150 μg/mL concentration, respectively. Lavender plant material but also the residual water and ethanolic extracts from the solid waste residue showed high antimicrobial activity against Aspergillus niger, Alternaria alternata, Penicillium chrysogenum, Bacillus sp., and Pseudomonas aeroginosa strains, at 0.75–6.0 μg/mL, 0.08–0.125 μg/mL, and 0.05–4.0 μg/mL, respectively.

In this work a comparative assessment was performed on individual and total polyphenols and biochemical properties of some Feteasca Neagra red wines obtained from grapes cultivated with different farming technologies (organic vs. conventional). The effect of a 30% cluster thinning treatment in both organic and conventional vineyard, compared to control plots with no thinning, was also monitored. The wines were obtained during two vintages, one with more favourable climatic conditions and one less favourable, in the period 2010–2019. Our results indicate that by applying a 30% cluster thinning treatment in the vineyard it is possible to increase the concentration of total and individual polyphenols of the resulted Feteasca Neagra wines. Furthermore, the differences observed between the phenolic profiles of wines from conventionally and organically produced grapes showed that organic Feteasca Neagra wines have higher phenolic compounds concentrations and antioxidant properties, with some important individual phenols accumulating in larger quantities than in the case of conventional wines. The beneficial effect of the organic cultivation is more evident in years characterised by less favourable climatic conditions. The statistical analysis tools applied to the analytical data allowed a good discrimination of experimental wine variants according to the vine cultivation technology (organic vs. conventional, with and without cluster thinning) and vintage. Thus, the results indicated that the applied cultivation technologies, especially when both organic cultivation and cluster thinning are combined, can greatly improve the polyphenolic content of Feteasca Neagra wines. The absolute value of the increase in polyphenol concentration was higher in favourable years, but the relative increase, in percentages, as compared to control wines, was higher in less favourable years. The combination of both viticultural practices may be thus exploited in order to obtain wines with higher polyphenolic content, which leads to better structure, better ageing potential, enhanced nutritional and antioxidant properties.

Ascunsă cave (Romania) is the subject of a monitoring program since 2012. While the cave air temperature was very stable around 7°C for most of the time, it experienced in 2019 a 3°C rise, and remained high until the present.We present here δ18O, δ13C, and clumped isotope results from calcite farmed at two drip points inside the cave (POM X and POM 2). POM X has a slower drip rate than POM 2 and deposits calcite more continuously. Calcite deposition has been shown to depend on cave air CO2 concentration, which controls the drip water pH and, further, the calcite saturation index.In 2019, δ18O values at both sites quickly shifted to lower values as a response to the increase in temperature. At POM X, values were situated between approximately -7.2‰ and -7.6‰ before this transition, whereas in 2019 they shifted to -7.8‰ - -8.0‰. At POM 2, where values were generally lower, they shifted from -7.5‰ to -7.8‰ to -8.0‰.Clumped isotope temperature estimates mostly agree, within measurement error, with measured cave temperature. This agreement is notable given that strong offsets are commonly observed in mid-latitude caves, reflecting kinetic fractionation effects. However, intervals with deviations from cave temperature are also observed, suggesting variations in isotopic disequilibrium conditions with time.Here we will discuss these isotope changes in relation to cave air temperature and CO2 concentration, drip water isotope values and elemental chemistry, as well as in relation to drip rates, in order to improve our understanding of calcite precipitation and isotope effects in caves.

Modern society faced significant challenges in the last decades as a result of environmental pollution and climate change. The current study's objective was to establish a pattern for assimilating HM in normally and declined Quercus robur L. trees. Also, was identify the present state and historical changes in heavy metal elemental composition using different approaches: i) twenty matrices including water, soil, sediments, mushrooms, acorn, leaves, branches, bark and wood; ii) tree-rings elemental time-series trends. Our research of elemental distribution in pedunculate oak earlywood tree-rings brings new viewpoints for investigating chronic decline and dieback using (LA-ICP-MS), (ICP-MS) and (AAS) technics. Impressive amounts of heavy metals in the background environment, especially in water and mushrooms indicate high environmental risk for human health. Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.), a popular and widely cultivated fruit world-wide, contains bioactive compounds responsible for their health benefits. Here we report the amounts of some bioactive compounds: two major triterpenes (oleanolic and ursolic acids) and polyphenols (phenolic acids, flavan-3-ols, flavonoids and t-resveratrol), together with bioactive properties of twelve apple cultivars measured by chromatographic and spectrophotometric methods. Significant variations were found comparing the bioactive potential of the investigated cultivars. High contents of phenolic acids were identified in the Montuan, Golden Delicious and Cretesc cultivars, while the most flavonoid dominant was the Richard cultivar. Starkrimson, Jonatan, Beliy Naliv and Richard cultivars present higher antioxidant capacity. Oleanolic acid ranged from 11 to 83 mg/g apple extract, while ursolic acid ranged from 55 to 436 mg/g apple extract, with higher amounts in Richard and Montuan cultivars. Principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) allowed the discrimination of apple cultivars depending on polyphenolic and triterpene acids composition. Caffeic acid, gallic acid and epicatechin were identified as the main bioactive compounds in Starkrimson, Jonathan, Beliy Naliv and Richard cultivars, while ursolic and oleanolic acids were identified in high amounts in Richard, Montuan, Golden Delicious, Idared and Beliy Naliv apple cultivars. The results obtained in this study will contribute to the understanding of the bioactive composition of apples as well as the importance of their capitalization to obtain value-added products that promote human health.
