Background & purpose: Methods: Thirty hypertensive men (Mild Essential Hypertension) with ages ranging from 45 to 55 years old and BMIs ranging from 25 to 35 kg/m2 took part in the study (overweight and class1 obesity). The participants were classified randomly into two main domains; A and B. As for the first Group, (A) did high-intensity (interval) aerobic activity, while group (B) did moderate-intensity (continuous) aerobic exercise. Both categories exercised for 30-40 minutes on an electrical treadmill three times a week for eight weeks. Blood uric acid, serum creatinine, and serum urea were tested for each patient before and after the trial. The arterial blood pressure measurements were also taken before and after the study to draw comparisons and to set evaluations. Results: Both high-intensity interval and continuous moderate exercise had a significant lowering effect on serum uric acid and creatinine (p.05), with continuous moderate exercise having a better effect with a 16 percent improvement in serum uric acid and a 27.5 percent improvement in creatinine, while high-intensity interval exercise had an 8 percent improvement in serum uric acid and a 17 percent improvement in creatinine. On the other hand, arterial blood pressure and blood urea levels improved at the same rate. Conclusion: Moderate continuous exercise reduces serum uric acid and creatinine better than high-intensity interval exercise. Both have the same effect on blood pressure and urea, but moderate continuous exercise has a crystal-clear effect that cannot be denied.

Objective To evaluate clinical performance of the new CAD/CAM resin-matrix ceramics and compare it with ceramic partial coverage restorations. Materials and methods An electronic search of 3 databases (The National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE/PubMed), Scopus, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials) was conducted. English clinical studies published between 2005 and September 2020 that evaluated the clinical performance of CAD/CAM resin-matrix ceramics inlays, onlays, or overlays were selected. The primary clinical question was applied according to PICOS strategy (Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Study design). The included studies were individually evaluated for risk of bias according to the modified Cochrane Collaboration tool criteria. Results A total of 7 studies were included according to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. From the included studies, 6 were randomized clinical trials while one study was longitudinal observational study without control group. According to the results of the included studies, the success rate of CAD/CAM resin-based composite ranged from 85.7 to 100% whereas the success rate reported for ceramic partial coverage restorations ranged from 93.3 to 100%. Fractures and debondings are found to be the most common cause of restorations failure. Conclusion CAD/CAM resin-based composite can be considered a reliable material for partial coverage restorations with clinical performance similar to glass ceramic restorations. However, this result needs to be confirmed in long-term evaluations. Clinical relevance CAD/CAM resin-based composites provide a potential alternative to ceramic indirect restorations. However, clinicians must be aware of the lake of knowledge regarding long-term outcome.

In vehicles that require a lot of electricity, such as electric vehicles, it is necessary to use high-energy batteries. Among the developed batteries, the lithium-ion battery has shown better performance. This battery has an energy density of 10 equal to that of a lithium-ion battery and uses air oxygen as the active material of the cathode and anode like a lithium-ion battery made of lithium metal. The cathode used in these batteries must have special properties such as strong catalytic activity and high conductivity, and nanotechnology has greatly helped to improve the materials used in the cathode of lithium-air batteries. The importance of proper catalyst distribution and the relationship between the oxide product and the catalyst and the indirect effect of the ORR catalyst on the OER reaction is not present in the fuel cell. The maximum capacity of lithium-air battery theory using graphene under optimal electron conduction conditions and the experimental maximum obtained for graphene by optimizing the structure geometry, examples of structural engineering using carbon fiber and carbon nanotubes in cathode fabrication with the ability to perform the reaction properly while providing space for lithium oxide placement, are examined. This article describes the mechanism of this battery, and its components are examined. The challenges of using this battery and the application of nanotechnology to solve these challenges are also discussed.

Environmental pollution sources including waste or metal accumulation, industrial and agricultural activities can be dangerous. Also, contaminated organic waste (COW) with metals especially, copper ions (Cu2+), can cause toxicity to various ecosystem components, enhance the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and consequently cause oxidative stress. The biochemical effect of the COW was monitored by assessing the oxidative stress parameters (OSP) using hydrogen peroxides (H2O2), protein carbonyls (PC), lipid peroxides (LP), catalase (CAT), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), 2,2 diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), total antioxidant ability (TAA); β-esterase (β-EST); and total amount of protein (TAP) levels on the organic waste (kitchen and vegetable wastes); Hermetia illucens larvae; and larval excreta collected from 7-day post-treated kitchen and vegetables wastes with (1:10; g:mL) distilled water (DW) or 100 mg/mL Cu2+. The OSP levels were significantly higher in the experimental samples from Cu2+ groups than in the control one. Besides that, the OSP levels of H. illucens larvae feed on vegetable waste was significantly higher than those feed on kitchen waste except for β-EST, PC, and TPA. The best, cheap and easy parameters of antioxidants to ensure the entomoremediation ability are total antioxidant capacity. Possible impacts of accumulated and Cu2+ contaminated organic waste on H. illucens larvae were discussed. Also, the ability of insects to produce more antioxidants than input or output sources was approved. The potential use of the OSP as a bioindicator method of the bioremediation ability of H. illucens was proposed.

Background SARS-CoV-2 infection involves disturbing multiple molecular pathways related to immunity and cellular functions. PIM1 is a serine/threonine-protein kinase found to be involved in the pathogenesis of several viral infections. One PIM1 substrate, Myc, was reported to interact with TMPRSS2, which is crucial for SARS-CoV-2 cell entry. PIM1 inhibitors were reported to have antiviral activity through multiple mechanisms related to immunity and proliferation. This study aimed to evaluate the antiviral activity of 2-pyridone PIM1 inhibitor against SARS-CoV-2 and its potential role in hindering the progression of COVID-19. It also aimed to assess PIM1 inhibitor’s effect on the expression of several genes of Notch signaling and Wnt pathways. In vitro study was conducted on Vero-E6 cells infected by SARS-CoV-2 “NRC-03-nhCoV” virus. Protein–protein interaction of the study genes was assessed to evaluate their relation to cell proliferation and immunity. The effect of 2-pyridone PIM1 inhibitor treatment on viral load and mRNA expression of target genes was assessed at three time points. Results Treatment with 2-pyridone PIM1 inhibitor showed potential antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-2 (IC50 of 37.255 µg/ml), significantly lowering the viral load. Functional enrichments of the studied genes include negative regulation of growth rate, several biological processes involved in cell proliferation, and Interleukin-4 production, with interleukin-6 as a predicted functional partner. These results suggest an interplay between study genes with relation to cell proliferation and immunity. Following in vitro SARS-CoV-2 infection, Notch pathway genes, CTNNB1, SUMO1, and TDG, were found to be overexpressed compared to uninfected cells. Treatment with 2-pyridone PIM1 inhibitor significantly lowers the expression levels of study genes, restoring Notch1 and BCL9 to the control level while decreasing Notch2 and CTNNB1 below control levels. Conclusion 2-pyridone PIM1 inhibitor could hinder cellular entry of SARS-CoV-2 and modulate several pathways implicated in immunity, suggesting a potential benefit in the development of anti-SARS-CoV-2 therapeutic approach.

In this paper, a safety method for a 3-DOF industrial robot is developed based on recurrent neural network (RNN). Safety standards for human robot interaction (HRI) are taken into accounts. The main objective is to detect the undesired collisions on any of robot links. Since most of industrial robots are not collaborative, the dependence of the method on torque sensors to detect collisions makes its ability to use very restricted. Therefore, only the position data of joints are collected to be the data inputs of the proposed method in order to detect the undesired collisions. These data are aggregated from KUKA LWR IV robot while no collisions and in another time when applying collisions. These data are used to train the proposed RNN using Levenberg-Marquardt LM algorithm. KUKA robot is configured to act as a 3-DOF manipulator that moves in space and under the effect of gravity.The results show that the modelled and trained RNN is sensitive and efficient in detecting collisions on each link of robot separately. Studying the resulted error from the developed model reveals clearly that the method is reliable.

Anaplasmosis is a severe tickborne disease of ruminants caused by Anaplasma marginale. A. marginale is distributed worldwide and attacks erythrocytes, resulting in an increased body temperature, anemia, jaundice, abortion, and, in some cases, death. Animals infected with this pathogen become lifelong carriers. In this study, we aimed to detect and characterize A. marginale isolated from cattle, buffalo, and camel populations using novel molecular techniques in southern Egypt. In total, 250 samples (from 100 cattle, 75 water buffaloes, and 75 camels) were analyzed by PCR for the presence of Anaplasmataceae, specifically A. marginale. The animals varied in breed, age, and gender, with most showing no signs of severe disease. By species, A. marginale was found in 61 out of 100 (61%) cattle, 9 out of 75 (12%) buffaloes, and only 5 out of 75 (6.66%) camels. All A. marginale-positive samples were examined for the heat-shock protein groEL gene and, additionally, for major surface protein 4 (msp4) and major surface protein 5 (msp5) genes to enhance specificity. Phylogenetic analysis of A. marginale targeted three genes (groEL, msp4, and msp5). This study provides the first report on using three genes for A. marginale detection in Camelus dromedarius in southern Egypt and generated new phylogenetic data for A. marginale infections in camels. A. marginale infection is endemic in different animal species in southern Egypt. Screening herds for A. marginale is recommended even when the signs of anaplasmosis are absent.

The hydrothermal preparation of active MnO2 via KMnO4 and MnSO4.H2O as inorganic forerunners is demonstrated, and it is evaluated as an adsorbent for the 99Mo produced by 235U fission. The structure and morphology of MnO2 were distinguished using various methods such as FTIR spectrum, FESEM, EDX, XRD, TGA. The 99Mo adsorption conduct on active manganese oxide was investigated, and the Mo uptake capacity was determined using static and dynamic techniques, and it was found to be 22.8 ± 1 and 6.72 ± 0.3 mg/g MnO2, respectively. This sorbent material was used in preliminary studies to prepare a 99Mo/99mTc generator. 99mTc eluted from the prepared generator was estimated to be 78–82 % with a low 99Mo breakthrough (0.002 %) and acceptable radiochemical, radionuclidic, and chemical purities.

To evaluate the visual outcomes and the affect of timing of surgical repair of fovea-splitting rhegmatogenous retinal detachments.A retrospective, consecutive cohort from multiple surgeons at a single center. Fovea status (fovea-on, fovea-splitting, or fovea-off) was classified by preoperative optical coherence tomography. The primary outcome measure was the visual acuity at the last follow-up that was further correlated with the timing of surgical repair.One hundred and ninety-five eyes were included with 62 fovea-on, 65 fovea-splitting, and 68 fovea-off detachments. The mean preoperative logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution visual acuity for fovea-on, fovea-splitting, and fovea-off groups was 0.16 ± 0.21, 0.70 ± 0.56, and 1.67 ± 0.87, respectively (P =0.001). Mean postoperative logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution visual acuity for fovea-on, fovea-splitting, and fovea-off groups were 0.07 ± 0.13, 0.10 ± 0.15, and 0.20 ± 0.22, respectively (P =0.001). A statistically significant difference in mean postoperative logMAR visual acuity was found between fovea-off and fovea-on groups (P = 0.003) and between fovea-off and fovea-splitting groups (P = 0.013), however not between fovea-on and fovea-splitting groups (P = 0.827). Visual acuity improved when repair was performed earlier after presentation for fovea-on (R = 0.378, P = 0.002) and fovea-off groups (R = 0.277, P = 0.022), but not for the fovea-splitting group (R = 0.089, P = 0.481).We described the favorable visual outcomes of surgery for fovea-splitting rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and correlated these with the timing of surgical repair, which may help guide the management of this urgent, vision-threatening condition.
