Introduction: Alzheimer's disease (AD) represents a critical global health challenge with limited therapeutic options, prompting the exploration of alternative strategies. A key pathology in AD involves amyloid beta (Aβ) aggregation, and targeting both Aβ aggregation and oxidative stress is crucial for effective intervention. Natural compounds from medicinal and food sources have emerged as potential preventive and therapeutic agents, with Nelumbo nucifera leaf extract (NLE) showing promising properties. Methods: In this study, we utilized transgenic Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) models to investigate the potential of NLE in countering AD and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. Various assays were employed to assess paralysis rates, food-searching capabilities, Aβ aggregate accumulation, oxidative stress, lifespan under stress conditions, and the expression of stress-resistance-related proteins. Additionally, autophagy induction was evaluated by measuring P62 levels and the formation of LGG-1+ structures, with RNAi-mediated inhibition of autophagyrelated genes to confirm the mechanisms involved. Results: The results demonstrated that NLE significantly reduced paralysis rates in CL4176 and CL2006 worms while enhancing food-searching capabilities in CL2355 worms. NLE also attenuated Aβ aggregate accumulation and mitigated Aβ-induced oxidative stress in C. elegans. Furthermore, NLE extended the lifespan of worms under oxidative and thermal stress conditions, while concurrently increasing the expression of stress-resistance-related proteins, including SOD-3, GST-4, HSP-4, and HSP-6. Moreover, NLE induced autophagy in C. elegans, as evidenced by reduced P62 levels in BC12921 worms and the formation of LGG-1+ structures in DA2123 worms. The RNAi-mediated inhibition of autophagy-related genes, such as bec-1 and vps-34, negated the protective effects of NLE against Aβ-induced paralysis and aggregate accumulation. Discussion: These findings suggest that NLE ameliorates Aβ-induced toxicity by activating autophagy in C. elegans. The study underscores the potential of NLE as a promising candidate for further investigation in ADmanagement, offering multifaceted approaches to mitigate AD-related pathology and stress-related challenges. Background: Enteric glia are essential components of the enteric nervous system. Previously believed to have a passive structural function, mounting evidence now suggests that these cells are indispensable for maintaining gastrointestinal homeostasis and exert pivotal influences on both wellbeing and pathological conditions. This study aimed to investigate the global status, research hotspots, and future directions of enteric glia. Methods: The literature on enteric glia research was acquired from the Web of Science Core Collection. VOSviewer software (v1.6.19) was employed to visually represent co-operation networks among countries, institutions, and authors. The co-occurrence analysis of keywords and co-citation analysis of references were conducted using CiteSpace (v6.1.R6). Simultaneously, cluster analysis and burst detection of keywords and references were performed. Results: A total of 514 publications from 36 countries were reviewed. The United States was identified as the most influential country. The top-ranked institutions were University of Nantes and Michigan State University. Michel Neunlist was the most cited author. "Purinergic signaling" was the largest cocited reference cluster, while "enteric glial cells (EGCs)" was the cluster with the highest number of co-occurring keywords. As the keyword with the highest burst strength, Crohns disease was a hot topic in the early research on enteric glia. The burst detection of keywords revealed that inflammation, intestinal motility, and gut microbiota may be the research frontiers. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of enteric glia research. EGCs have emerged as a crucial link between neurons and immune cells, attracting significant research attention in neurogastroenterology. Their fundamental and translational studies on inflammation, intestinal motility, and gut microbiota may promote the treatment of some gastrointestinal and parenteral disorders. Importance: Postzygotic mutations in the GNAQ/GNA11 genes, which encode the G‐protein nucleotide binding protein alpha subunits, have been identified in patients with phakomatosis pigmentovascularis (PPV). However, little is known about the Chinese population. Objective: To identify pathogenic mutations in pediatric patients with PPV within the Chinese population. Methods: We performed whole‐exome sequencing (WES) using skin lesion tissues from pediatric patients diagnosed with PPV. Additionally, ultradeep‐targeted sequencing was conducted to validate the somatic mutations. A genotype‐phenotype correlation was analyzed by integrating data from previous reports with the findings of the present study. Results: Thirteen patients were enrolled, all diagnosed with the cesioflammea type of PPV, except for one patient with an unclassifiable type. We identified somatic GNA11 c.547C>T (p.R183C) variant in seven patients and GNAQ c.548G>A (p.R183Q) in four patients, with low allelic fractions ranging from 2.1% to 8.6% through ultradeep sequencing. Besides, a GNAQ c.548G>A (p.R183Q) variant was detected through targeted sequencing in one of two patients who did not exhibit detectable variants via WES. The genotype‐phenotype correlation analysis, involving 15 patients with a GNA11 variant and 10 with a GNAQ variant, revealed that facial capillary malformation (87% vs. 50%, P = 0.075) and ocular melanocytosis (80% vs. 40%, P = 0.087) appeared to be more frequent in patients with GNA11 mutation compared to those with GNAQ mutations. All four patients diagnosed with cesiomarmorata type or overlapping cesioflammea and cesiomarmorata type PPV carried the GNA11 variant. Interpretation: Our study demonstrated that the majority of PPV patients in the Chinese population carried a postzygotic variant of GNAQ/GNA11, thus further confirming the pathogenic role of GNAQ/GNA11 mosaicism in the development of PPV cesioflammea type. Gears are the basic units in modern power systems. The detection and diagnosis of surface defects and faults in gears are conducive to improving product quality, ensuring the safety of mechanical equipment, and reducing maintenance costs. However, the accuracy of manual and traditional automated target detection algorithms is not satisfactory. Therefore, this research uses the R‐CNN algorithm for gear detection, improves its non‐maximum suppression algorithm and multi‐task loss function, and obtains the improved Faster R‐CNN algorithm. The test was carried out on the built data set. The actual measurement shows that the recall rate of the improved Faster R‐CNN is up to 0.951 and the lowest is 0.816. Its AP value is as low as 0.677 and as high as 0.858, and the mAP value is 0.843. Horizontal comparison, the comparison results show that the mAP of Faster R‐CNN is 0.80 1, second only to R‐CNN among the tested algorithms, and 8.83% higher than the original Faster R‐CNN. Under the condition of AP@0.5:0.95, among all the tested algorithms, its AR index is the highest at 54.3, and the detection speed is 18 FPS/s. Although the detection speed has decreased, the detection and recognition accuracy has been significantly improved, which provides feasibility for the R‐CNN series of algorithms new optimization directions. A series of two-dimensional (2D) spin-crossover coordination polymers (SCO-CPs) [FeII(TPE)(NCX)2]·solv (1: X = BH3, solv = H2O·2CH3OH·DMF; 2: X = Se, solv = H2O·2CH3OH·0.5DMF; 3: X = S, solv = H2O·2CH3OH·0.5DMF) were synthesized by employing 1,1,2,2-tetra(pyridin-4-yl)ethene (TPE) and pseudohalide (NCX-) coligands. Magnetic measurements indicated that complexes 1-3 exhibited SCO behaviors with diminishing thermal hysteresis (7/4/0 K) upon decreasing the ligand-field strength. The critical temperatures (Tc) during spin transition were found to be inversely proportional to the coordination ability parameters (a™) with a linear correlation. The guest effect was also investigated in the solvent-exchanged phases 1-SE/2-SE/3-SE wherein the DMF molecules were replaced by methanol molecules. Compared with 1-3, 1-SE/2-SE/3-SE displayed more abrupt and complete single-step SCO behaviors but narrower thermal hysteretic loops. The results reported here demonstrate that the Tc values of these two families were dominated by the ligand-field strength of the NCX- anions (NCBH3 > NCSe > NCS), whereas the guest effect only modulated the kinetic factor of the SCO nature in this system.
