To explore the clinical characters, treatment and prognosis for pediatric optic pathway gliomas (OPGs). Methods: A total of 26 patients with OPGs, who were diagnosed and treated at Neurosurgery of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University between June 2010 and November 2017, were retrospectively reviewed, and their average age was 5.5 years old. The influential factors for patients' progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. Results: All patients were classified into Type II and Type III based on Dodge classification and received surgery treatment. Vision was improved after surgery in 20 patients. Twenty-four patients (92.3%) were continually followed up, and 14 patients (58.3%) received post-radiation treatment. Twenty-one patients were still alive and 15 patients' symptoms were not progressed. The PFS and OS in patients received radiation therapy were better than those without radiation therapy (PFS: P0.01; OS: P0.05). The postoperative visual prognosis might be related to the choice of surgical approach. Conclusion: Treatment of children with OPGs should include surgery and postoperative radiotherapy. The eyesight protection in surgery is as important as tumor resection.目的：探讨儿童视路胶质瘤(optic pathway gliomas，OPGs)的临床特点、治疗方法及预后情况。方法：回顾性分析湘雅医院神经外科自2010年6月至2017年11月收治的26例OPGs患儿的临床及随访资料，平均年龄为5岁6个月，分析视力、总生存及无进展生存的影响因素。结果：本组患儿均为DodgeII型和III型，且接受肿瘤切除手术，术后患儿视力好转20例。随访了24例(92.3%)患儿，14例接受放射治疗，总生存21例，无进展生存15例。接受放射治疗患儿无进展生存及总生存均优于未接受放射治疗患儿，差异均具有统计学意义(无进展生存：P0.01；总生存：P0.05)；患儿术后视力预后与手术入路的选择相关。结论：儿童视路胶质瘤的治疗应包括手术与术后放射治疗。为保证患儿术后生活质量，保护视力与切除肿瘤同样重要。.

Intracranial Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is a rare clinical histiocytosis proliferative disease. A 12-year-old boy with dizziness and headache for 1 month was admitted into Pediatric Neurosurgery of Xiangya Hospital, Central South University. The patient underwent total tumor resection and postoperative application of hormones and chemotherapy. During follow-up of 8 months, patient's condition was stable and no tumor recurrence was observed. For patient with a trend of tumor progression, stereotactic biopsy can help to confirm the diagnosis and determine the surgical strategy such as disposal of bone flaps. The treatment is mainly based on surgical intervention, supplemented by radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Without affecting the nerve function, the surgeon should try to completely resect the tumor.颅内Rosai-Dorfman病(Rosai-Dorfman disease，RDD)是一类临床罕见的组织细胞增生性疾病。中南大学湘雅医院收治1例12岁颅内RDD患儿，主诉为头痛、头晕1个月，行肿瘤全切除手术，术后应用激素及化学药物治疗。随访8个月，病情稳定，未见肿瘤复发。对于此类肿瘤且有进展趋势者，应用立体定向活检术有助于明确诊断及手术方案的选择(如骨瓣取舍等)。本病以手术干预为主，辅以放射治疗、化学药物治疗及激素治疗等方案，且手术应在不影响神经功能的情况下力求全切肿瘤。.

Low complexity infinite impulse response (IIR) filter design with nearly-linear phase response has attracted considerable attention in recent years due to the substantially high area and power consumption of linear phase finite impulse response (FIR) filter. Compared with the FIR filter, designing an IIR filter with the minimized group delay deviation and low power cost is a challenging topic. In this paper, the non-convex group delay deviation minimization problem for IIR filter design is reformulated into an iterative optimization problem to achieve lower group delay deviation. The hardware complexity of the solution is iteratively reduced by approximating the IIR filter coefficients to maximize the number of eliminable common subexpressions. The headroom for the coefficient adjustment is governed by the gradient of group delay deviation between iterations. Using our proposed design algorithm, a high-order lowpass filter with a minimum stopband attenuation of 60dB can be implemented by a 13-tap IIR filter with a group delay deviation of 0.002 only, as opposed to two linear-phase FIR filters designed by two recent and competitive FIR filter design algorithms with tap number of 51 and 57, respectively. Logic synthesis shows that the proposed IIR design saves 39.4% of the area and 41.8% of power consumption over the FIR solutions. Comparing with the latest nearly-linear phase IIR filter design algorithms, the group delay deviation of the solutions generated by our proposed algorithm are on average 25.5% lower, along with an average area and power savings of 20.5% and 18.4%, respectively, from the logic synthesis results. In this study, our findings indicated that FOXO1 expression frequently decreased in glioma tissues and cells. FOXO1 expression decrease correlated with glioma progression and predicted a worse overall survival of glioma patients. Restored FOXO1 expression inhibited glioma cells invasion and suppressed glioma cells proliferation in vitro and growth in vivo. Additionally, we found that KLF4 expression frequently increased in glioma tissues and negatively correlated with FOXO1 expression. Bioinformatics analysis and experimental results indicated that KLF4 transcriptionally repressed FOXO1 expression in glioma cells. Moreover, KLF4 expression increase correlated with glioma progression and predicted a poorer overall survival of glioma patients. KLF4 knockdown attenuated glioma cells invasion and growth. These data provide a rationale for targeted intervention on KLF4-FOXO1 signaling pathway to suppress glioma progression.

Using a comprehensive survey, this paper analyzes the effect of committed and heavy supply chain relationships characterized by high levels of relation-specific investments in innovation performance in Hungary, an emerging economy in Central and Eastern Europe. For this research, we carry out a two-step analysis. First, we investigate the effect of Relation Specific Investments (RSI) on four different innovation-related performance dimensions of a focal firm. In contrast to previous research, we did not limit our analysis to the dyadic relationship level, but rather, we analyzed the triadic supply chain relationships. Uniquely, this paper conceptualizes and measures innovation performance in a complex way, both product and process, but also analyzes incremental and radical innovations. As a second step, the effect of internationalization on the focal firm is tested. Triad level RSI has a positive effect on all innovation related performance dimensions. A test of the moderation effect produced mixed results, indicating the need to treat innovation in a complex, sophisticated way in future research.

Objective To evaluate the outcomes of 177 cases of craniopharyngioma (CP) treated via a unilateral subfrontal approach. Methods A total of 177 continuous microscopic surgeries were performed by the senior author (Y.X.). The tumors were divided into 6 groups using the diaphragm sellae and the third ventricle floor as the anatomic references. The preoperative, postoperative, and long-term follow-up data were analyzed to evaluate the extent of tumor resection, recurrence, and functional status. Results The subfrontal-basal approach was used in 169 (91.4%) cases. Total resection was achieved in 167 (94.4%) cases. A total of 158 patients were followed from 6 to 130 months. There were 3 perioperative and 23 delayed deaths. Twenty-two patients had tumor recurrence (12.7%). The progression-free survival was 80% at 5 years and 72% at 10 years. The overall survival was 84.0% at 2.5 years and 83.2% at 10 years. There was a significant increase of pituitary dysfunction after total resection. Neurologic function was stable in most patients. Rate of hypothalamic dysfunction and mortality were higher in patients with intraventricular CPs. Of the surviving patients, 91.8% were living independently with acceptable morbidities at the end of the study. Conclusions Most CPs extend along the intrasellar-suprasellar-third ventricle axis. A subfrontal-basal approach is a simple, safe, and effective approach to resecting CPs extending along the vertical axis. A translamina terminalis approach is an ideal corridor to resect intraventricular CP. The benefit of radical resection remains controversial, especially for CPs involving the infundibulotuberal region.

The hypothesis tested is that in a business relation marked by high levels of trustworthiness as perceived by the opposite parties, willingness to be involved in risky situations is higher than it is in relations where actors do not believe their partners to be highly trustworthy. Testing this hypothesis clearly calls for dyadic operationalization, measurement, and analysis. The authors present the first economic application of a newly developed statistical technique called dyadic data analysis, which has already been applied in social psychology. It clearly overcomes the problem of single-ended research in business relations analysis and allows a deeper understanding of any dyadic phenomenon, including trust/trustworthiness as a governance mechanism.

Here we propose a method to detect the degenerated tetragonal vortex states (i.e., the toroidal axis is along the x-, y- or z-axis) in ferroelectric nanodots by applying a controllable surface charge (CSC) condition. Electrodes are placed at two parallel surfaces of the nanodot to form a short circuit. Surface charges with a controllable density are then applied to another two parallel surfaces of the nanodot. Under this CSC condition, a characteristic short-circuit current vs. time (I–t) curve related with the evolution of domain structure in a nanodot can be detected. The evolution paths and the characteristic short-circuit I–t curves of the degenerated vortex states in ferroelectric nanodots have been systematically revealed by our phase field simulations by solving the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau (TDGL) equations. It is found that the degenerated vortex states exhibit distinct evolution features under the CSC condition. In the stages of placing electrodes and increasing surface charges, one, two, and zero short-circuit I–t peak(s) are observed in the nanodots with 〈100〉, 〈010〉 and 〈001〉 vortex states, respectively. Therefore, the unknown vortex states of a nanodot can be distinguished. We further investigate the effects of temperature and nanodot size on the characteristic I–t curves of the vortex states. The results show that the vortex states can be nondestructively distinguished by applying the CSC condition if the nanodot size is within a moderate range (i.e., 8–12 nm). Our study provides an alternative way of detecting the degenerated tetragonal vortex states in ferroelectric nanodots without the use of a scanning probe microscope, and also sheds light on the application of ferroelectric vortex domain structures in novel devices such as memories, sensors and actuators.

Background Fusiform dilation of the supraclinoid ICA are not infrequently found in children with craniopharyngiomas, however, they occur much less frequently in adults with craniopharyngiomas. We report an adult patient with recurrent craniopharyngioma with FDCA, and discuss the diagnostic evaluation and management of them. Case description A 46 years old male patient, farmer by profession of Mongoloid race and Han ethnicity was admitted in ward 19 on January 2005 with polyuria more than 3 L, polydipsia with intake of fluids up to 3 L per day, bilateral frontal headache and decrease vision of bilateral eyes since 1 year. He further noticed severe deterioration of right visual acuity since 4 months. He was diagnosed as craniopharyngioma and had his first operation. The postoperative period was smooth until he started noticed decreased bilateral vision since January 2006. The repeat CT and MRI showed recurrence of the tumor. The intraoperative findings were as follows: there was a recurrence of the lesion which was cystic and had calcifications. The adjacent ICA was found to be FDCA. The craniopharyngioma was resected totally together with clipping of the FDCA. Postoperatively the patient was conscious and had spontaneous breathing, and resumed some of his labor five months later. 13 years after the operation, there was no evidence of recurrence in the MRI scan. Conclusions Though the FDCA is very rare in adults with craniopharyngiomas, it can be treated with the operation.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate leadership attributes that contribute to or inhibit the successful adaptation of lean techniques. Design/methodology/approach – Using leadership attributes of the Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) project, this paper develops an ideal leadership profile of a production manager who aims to develop a lean production system (based on Liker’s seminal work in 2004). Five hypotheses related to contributor and inhibitor leadership behaviors and their associated leadership attributes are analyzed using survey data based on a PLS model. Findings – According to the results, the proposed conceptual leadership profile, in which leadership attributes are divided into two sets (contributors and inhibitors), required modification. The authors identified five distinct leadership behaviors (specific interrelated sets of leadership attributes). Two of the five leadership behaviors (communicative and micromanager) for production managers contributed to lean implementation. None of the leadership behaviors were inhibitors. Surprisingly, a theoretical inhibitor type of leadership behavior, namely micromanager, proved to be a contributor. Practical implications – The results provide direct guidance for Hungarian managers with leadership behaviors that can contribute to the successful adaptation of lean techniques. However, managers must also consider that although these leadership behaviors may result in short-term gains, the micromanager leadership behavior can undermine the long-term sustainability of lean success and can hinder the development of a lean culture. Originality/value – Leaders are frequently considered to be the key drivers of lean management. The empirical paper is unique because it analyzes the relationship among leadership behaviors, leadership attributes, and lean contexts.

To evaluate the value of shunting surgery in the treatment for patients with meningeal carcinomatosis. Methods: The therapeutic process of shunting surgery was analyzed in 5 meningeal carcinomatosis patients. Results: The intracranial pressure could effectively be controlled, and the associated symptoms could be relieved. No complications associated with shunting surgery were found during the hospitalization and follow-up. One patient, who did not receive the surgery, died in 2 months later. Conclusion: Shunting surgery can effectively relieve the intracranial pressure caused by meningeal carcinomatosis, decrease the mortality and morbidity caused by intractable intracranial hypertension in these patients, and improve their live quality.目的：评估分流手术在癌性脑膜病患者治疗中的价值。方法：回顾性分析5例采取分流手术治疗的癌性脑膜病患者的治疗经过。结果：5例患者颅内压得到了有效的控制，相关症状明显缓解。住院期间及随访期间未发现与分流手术相关的并发症。1例患者未实施分流手术，2月后死亡。结论：分流手术可有效缓解癌性脑膜病所致的颅内压增高，可减少因顽固性颅高压所致的死亡与残障，可提高癌症患者的生活质量。.

Állandóan és gyorsan változó világunkban növekvő figyelmet kapnak a vállalatok hosszú távú üzleti kapcsolatai, így van ez Magyarországon is. A tanulmány célja, hogy a hazai vállalkozások hosszú távú üzleti kapcsolatainak jellegzetességeit mélyebben vizsgálja. A szerzők az ellátási lánc mentén triadikus megközelítéssel éltek, így az elemzést a központi vállalat mind beszállítói, mind megrendelői oldalán elvégezték. Az eredmények alapján elmondható, hogy mindkét alapvető ellátási lánc kapcsolat esetén három különböző kapcsolati klasztert lehetett azonosítani, melyekben keverednek a versenyző és az együttműködő kapcsolati jellemzők. Ez ellentmond annak a hagyományos megközelítésnek, mely szerint egy üzleti kapcsolat vagy versenyző, vagy együttműködő jellegű. Eredményeink azt mutatják, a hazai gyakorlatban is jelen vannak a kevert (ún. koopetitív) kapcsolatok.

Cardiopoietic cells, produced through cardiogenic conditioning of patients' mesenchymal stem cells, have shown preliminary efficacy. The Congestive Heart Failure Cardiopoietic Regenerative Therapy (CHART-1) trial aimed to validate cardiopoiesis-based biotherapy in a larger heart failure cohort. This multinational, randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled study was conducted in 39 hospitals. Patients with symptomatic ischaemic heart failure on guideline-directed therapy (n = 484) were screened; n = 348 underwent bone marrow harvest and mesenchymal stem cell expansion. Those achieving > 24 million mesenchymal stem cells (n = 315) were randomized to cardiopoietic cells delivered endomyocardially with a retention-enhanced catheter (n = 157) or sham procedure (n = 158). Procedures were performed as randomized in 271 patients (n = 120 cardiopoietic cells, n = 151 sham). The primary efficacy endpoint was a Finkelstein–Schoenfeld hierarchical composite (all-cause mortality, worsening heart failure, Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire score, 6-min walk distance, left ventricular end-systolic volume, and ejection fraction) at 39 weeks. The primary outcome was neutral (Mann–Whitney estimator 0.54, 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.47–0.61 [value > 0.5 favours cell treatment], P = 0.27). Exploratory analyses suggested a benefit of cell treatment on the primary composite in patients with baseline left ventricular end-diastolic volume 200–370 mL (60% of patients) (Mann–Whitney estimator 0.61, 95% CI 0.52–0.70, P = 0.015). No difference was observed in serious adverse events. One (0.9%) cardiopoietic cell patient and 9 (5.4%) sham patients experienced aborted or sudden cardiac death. The primary endpoint was neutral, with safety demonstrated across the cohort. Further evaluation of cardiopoietic cell therapy in patients with elevated end-diastolic volume is warranted.

The study of business relationships poses a number of challenges. This article focuses specifically on the methodological issues arising from the dyadic nature of relations. As a consequence of the dyadic nature, it is important that throughout the analyses the phenomena can be measured as embedded in the given relation and in this way, they can be studied without losing their unique context. A common criticism of using questionnaire surveys in examining business relations is that in research, the so-called single-ended operationalising or measure is dominant, and the data thus obtained is analysed by traditional mathematical-statistical methods. According to critical opinions in the literature, this methodological practice cannot lead to reliable results. The present article uses the database of a questionnaire survey to investigate whether the former standpoint is well founded. A specific research hypothesis is tested on the data obtained from paired query. In this process, the suggested methods for dyadic data analysis are used besides analyses carried out using various measures from traditional statistics. Dyadic data analysis provides extra value primarily in its perspective; regarding the results in the present study, it has not proved to be a major breakthrough.

A kiterjesztett ellátási hálózatba már nem csak a megrendelő és beszállítója kapcsolata, hanem a logisztikai folyamatok szempontjából nélkülözhetetlen logisztikai szolgáltatók is bele tartoznak. Tanulmányunk célja, hogy bemutasson néhány alapvető kiterjesztett ellátási hálózati felépítést, és meghatározza azokat a dimenziókat, amelyek ahhoz szükségesek, hogy azonosítani tudjuk a hálózat legkisebb elemzési egységét.

Considering the growing interest of firms regarding their long term relationships in our constant and rapidly chan ging world, we study these types of relationships maintained by Hungarian companies. The study is based on the Competitiveness Research Centre’s database created in 2013, more than 80% of the firms in the sample belong to SMEs. Our goal is to get a deeper insight and understanding of these long term relationships. Therefore, we identify different reasons for developing them, based on these reasons we create specific clusters and compare the relationship content of them along three dimensions: (i) the level of commitment between partners; (ii) social bonds; and (iii) the value of the relationship. We have a triadic approach and examine both supplier and customer relationship of the focal firms filling out our questionnaire. Results suggest that on the supplier side, two factors (reliable/stable supply and potential radical cooperation in innovation), while on the customer side, three factors (stable capacity utilisation, new orders by the customer, potential small cooperation in innovation) determine the reasons of maintaining long term relationships. We could identify three significantly different clusters on both sides of the supply triad that reflect a relational content contradicting the traditional relationship management literature suggesting two types of balanced long term relationships, the so-called arm’s length and the strategic relationship.

A number of microRNAs have been identified to be important regulators of tumorigenesis. Previous research has shown that miR-124 is abundantly expressed in normal brain tissue; however, only a few reports have focused on the biological impact of miR-124 on glioma cells, and the underlying mechanisms need to be elucidated. Therefore, we investigated the effect of miR-124a on glioma cell proliferation and invasion; furthermore, the underlying molecular mechanism was examined. The present study demonstrated that miR-124a expression was downregulated in human glioma tissues, and its expression level was negatively correlated with the pathological grade of the glioma. Restoration of miR-124a inhibited glioma cell proliferation and invasion in vitro. Furthermore, we found that miR-124a directly targeted and suppressed IQ motif containing GTPase activating protein 1 (IQGAP1), a well-known regulator of actin dynamics and cell motility. RNA interference assay showed that IQGAP1 knockdown led to downregulation of β-catenin and downstream cyclin D1. Taken together, our study revealed that miR-124a could inhibit glioma cell proliferation and invasion by blocking the expression of the IQGAP1 gene and downstream β-catenin and cyclin D1. This research may provide a useful molecular therapy for gliomas.

A fenntarthatóság központi kérdés a gazdálkodástudományban, ezen belül a logisztikában, hiszen a környezetre rótt szennyezésben e vállalati működési területnek is jelentős a szerepe. A szerzők dolgozata egy konkrét hazai esettanulmány segítségével vizsgálja a kérdéskört. Azt elemzik, vajon egy, az Európai Unióban is új kamiontípus (az ún. EuroCombi) alkalmazása a logisztikai folyamatokban milyen externális hatásokkal jár. Elemzésükben kísérletet tesznek ezeknek az externális hatásoknak a pénzben kifejezett mérésére. Azért fontos mindez, mert e mérés és számszerűsítés nélkül lehetetlen ezeknek a hatásoknak az internalizálása, vagyis belsővé tétele. Így mérés nélkül sem az érintett vállalatok tulajdonosai, sem azok belső döntéshozói, de a külső szabályozó szereplők sem tudják bevonni e hatásokat gazdasági döntéseikbe. Ez a mérés nem egyszerű feladat, de nem is lehetetlen. Mindenképpen alapját, előfeltételét képezi azonban annak, hogy ilyen jellegű döntéseknél az érintettek a társadalmi, környezeti érdekeket is érvényesíteni tudják. ____ Sustainability is a key issue today both for practitioners and researchers. This is true especially for logisticians. Logistics is a function that has a significant CO2 emission and also destructs transportation infrastructure that burden our environment. The article is focusing on these issues with the help of a Hungarian case study. It analysis the effect of applying a new, long and heavy type of truck, called EuroCombi. It presents a methodology usable for measuring these negative external effects in Forint. Without proper measurement internalization of costs these externalities generate is impossible. As it will be presented in details, such a measurement is although not very easy but achievable.

This led to increased environmental strain generating intense criticism towards logistics profession. In order to decrease the environmental burden of logistics several professionals and companies have tried to make progress in this field and introduced techniques that are capable to measure the Carbon Footprint of logistics. Still public case studies are very limited. The paper presents the case of the Hungarian subsidiary of a big multinational FMCG firm. Calculations are built on the actual conversion factor developed for the Hungarian energy mix. A complex set of key performance indi actors usable to capture key characteristics of the present situation is presented. Not only the constructs of these KPIs are described in the paper but a detailed description of methodology used to calculate them is also given. The authors hope such detailed case study description will help other companies as well to initiate sustainable logistics programs.

In the present study, 203 patients that had previously undergone microsurgery for craniopharyngiomas (CPs) between 1992 and 2012 were analyzed retrospectively on a long-term follow-up basis to investigate the differences in the recurrence rate and endocrine function between patients with preserved and resected pituitary stalks. To summarize the possible outcomes of microsurgery, the 203 patients were divided into 2 groups: Group A that had preserved pituitary stalks and Group B that had undergone resections of the pituitary stalk. Tumor origins and the involvement of the pituitary stalk during surgery were observed. From 2010 onwards, an ultra-electron microscope was used postoperatively to detect whether pituitary stalk specimens were infiltrated or invaded with tumor cells. Long-term follow-up observations of the patients included tumor recurrence, postoperative endocrine dysfunction and visual acuity and field. Among the 203 patients, 175 patients received gross-total resection (GTR) (175/203, 86.2%), 28 patients underwent subtotal resection (28/203, 13.8%) and 34 patients had surgery that preserved the pituitary stalk (34/203, 16.7%). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between Group A (4/34, 11.8%) and the patients in Group B (10/123, 8.1%) who underwent GTR and also received follow-ups. Of the 157 patients who were followed up, 91 individuals underwent endocrine evaluation and the outcome was divided into normal, satisfactory and poor grades. The results for Group A were 5, 18 and 0, respectively, while the results for Group B were 1, 60 and 7, respectively, which showed a statistically significant difference between the groups. Pituitary stalk specimens of 15 patients were studied postoperatively using an ultra-electron microscope and all samples showed tumor cells had invaded the pituitary stalk (15/15, 100%). Total resections of CPs with the pituitary stalk were recommended if the pituitary stalk was intraoperatively invaded. In cases where the pituitary stalk was not involved, microsurgical excisions preserving the pituitary stalk were preferred, as there was no significant increase in the recurrence rate and the patients experienced less endocrine dysfunction.

The paper focuses on the development of buyer – supplier relationships over time. Although there is an ongoing debate about the nature and characteristics of relationship life cycle, the existence of some kind of life cycle is usually assumed when timely development of these relationships is investigated. The objective of our analysis is to investigate this hidden hypothesis using quantitative research methodology. The research focusing on the development of business relationships over time has mainly used qualitative research methods and to the best of our knowledge, no one have yet attempted to measure any relevant variables and the pattern of their development over time using a quantitative methodology. In order to be able to test this hypothesis the level of relation-specific investments generated in the relationship, called the explicit investment measure, was chosen. We have conceptualized and measured it and tested empirically to what extent its development over time fits the pattern of the traditional mathematical model (representation) of the life cycle, which is usually described with a logistics curve. The development of this explicit investment measure over time is a dynamic phenomenon the analysis of which is not without methodological problem. We suggest and apply a procedure developed in the field of population dynamics that makes it possible to use cross sectional data for such dynamic analysis.

A nemzetközi szakirodalom a vezetőt a lean termelés bevezetésében és fenntartásában is kulcsszereplőként határozza meg. Ennek ellenére nagyon kevés empirikus elemzés vizsgálja a vezetőkkel kapcsolatos kérdéseket. A szerzők a kontingencialista leadership elmélet keretei között a lean termelési rendszer és a vezetési jellemzők kapcsolatát vizsgálják elméleti szempontból és empirikusan egyaránt. Bár a kérdés nem került korábbi munkák fókuszába, az elméleti és empirikus megfontolások alapján egyaránt megállapítható, hogy több vezetési jellemző is szorosan kapcsolható egy jól működő lean termelővállalat vezetőjéhez. Követendő vezetési jellemzőként jelenik meg többek között az együttműködő, a delegáló, a teljesítményorientált vagy fejlődésorientált. Azonosíthatók olyan jellemzők is, amelyek elméletileg nem egyeztethetők össze a lean termelési rendszer logikájával, pl. autokrata, diktatórikus vagy mikrovezető ______ The working paper focuses on two connected research questions: on one hand based on widely accepted literature it systematically maps the ideal leadership style and related leader attributes that help in transforming a company into a real and well-functioning lean organization. On the other hand the paper analyzes whether leaders of companies with more developed lean practice do or do not follow these leadership attributes recommended by literature. The study uses the fourth round of the Hungarian Competitiveness Research Survey from 2009. This study is limited to the analysis of questionnaires filled in by producers that have more than 50 employees (about 65 manufacturing firms). The authors analyze the leadership styles of two managers, namely the CEO and production manager. Results of the empirical analysis revealed astonishing and contradictory attitudes toward ideal leadership attributes of leaders operating in more developed lean companies.

To evaluate the time and effect of shunt operation on cryptococcal meningitis. A total 7 patients received shunt operation for the therapy of cryptococcal meningitis patients and the data was retrospectively analyzed. Intracranial hypertension-caused symptoms were resolved immediately. There was no complication, no infection dissemination and no recrudescence of cryptococcal meningitis. Shunt operation is effective for intracranial hypertension caused by cryptococcal meningitis. It does not affect the antifungal treatment.目的：探讨分流手术在新型隐球菌脑膜炎患者治疗中的时机并评价其疗效。方法：回顾性分析7例采取分流手术治疗新型隐球菌脑膜炎患者的经过。结果：7例患者颅内压得到了有效的控制，相关症状明显缓解。住院及随访期间未出现与分流手术相关的并发症，未发生因分流手术造成的隐球菌播散及难治性隐球菌感染，也未发生因此导致的感染复燃。结论：分流手术可以有效缓解新型隐球菌脑膜炎所致的颅内压增高，且不对抗隐球菌的治疗产生不良影响。.

A tanulmány arra a feltevésre épül, hogy minél erősebb a bizalomra méltóság szintje egy adott üzleti kapcsolatban, annál inkább igaz, hogy nagy kockázatú tevékenységek mennek végbe benne. Ilyen esetekben a bizalomra méltóság a kapcsolatban zajló események, cselekvések irányítási eszközévé válik, és az üzleti kapcsolatban megjelenik a cselekvési hajlandóságként értelmezett bizalom. A tanulmány felhívja a figyelmet a bizalom és a bizalomra méltóság fogalmai közötti különbségre, szisztematikus különválasztásuk fontosságára. Bemutatja az úgynevezett diadikus adatelemzés gazdálkodástudományi alkalmazását. Empirikus eredményei is igazolják, hogy ezzel a módszerrel az üzleti kapcsolatok társas jellemzőinek (köztük a bizalomnak) és a közöttük lévő kapcsolatoknak mélyebb elemzésére nyílik lehetőség. ____ The paper rests on the behavioral interpretation of trust, making a clear distinction between trustworthiness (honesty) and trust interpreted as willingness to engage in risky situations with specific partners. The hypothesis tested is that in a business relation marked by high levels of trustworthiness as perceived by the opposite parties, willingness to be involved in risky situations is higher than it is in relations where actors do not believe their partners to be highly trustworthy. Testing this hypothesis clearly calls for dyadic operationalization, measurement, and analysis. The authors present the first economic application of a newly developed statistical technique called dyadic data analysis, which has already been applied in social psychology. It clearly overcomes the problem of single-ended research in business relations analysis and allows a deeper understanding of any dyadic phenomenon, including trust/trustworthiness as a governance mechanism.

Research has followed a network perspective of supply management from as early as the publication of Krajlic matrix. This portfolio approach is still static. Recently the triad is interpreted as the smallest unit of a network through which dynamics can be studied. Analyzing triads seems to be a promising way through which a deeper insight into the dynamics of supplier development can be gained. Using case study approach the paper investigates this dynamics with a special emphasis on coopetitive behavior. Analyzing a triadic sourcing setting operating in a make to engineer (and order) environment we show the importance of governance.

Based on a literature review, we develop a research profile that illustrates that survey-based, trustrelated empirical research has severe limitations. It usually carries out general relationship analysis using single end or quasi two-sided sampling and classic statistical constructs. We designed and carried out an empirical research that was highly situational, applied dyadic operationalisation, pairwise sampling, and dyadic data analysis — a special statistical approach and toolset developed by psychologists and used to analyse interdependencies in relationships. Our main contribution is methodological and theoretical since the paper gives a structured overview on the methodological challenges in analysing mutuality in trust, but also in other relational attributes. The paper not only makes these methodological problems explicit, but also offers a potential solution to overcome some of their limitations.

Absztrakt: Az elemzes egy, a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem (BCE) Logisztika es Ellatasi Lanc Menedzsment Tanszeke altal vegzett kerdőives felmeres eredmenyeit foglalja ossze. A kutatas alapvető celja, hogy felmerje es bemutassa a hazai vallalatok logisztikai, ezen belul is elsősorban disztribucios logisztikai folyamatainak informatikai oldalrol tortenő jelenlegi tamogatottsagi szintjet es a kovetkező ket-harom ev e teren varhato fejlesztesi iranyait. A kutatas szisztematikusan kitert a logisztikai informacios rendszer valamennyi alrendszerere, vizsgalta a kulonboző azonositasi megoldasok elterjedtseget, a vallalatiranyitasi rendszer, illetve egyes moduljainak hasznalataval kapcsolatban kialakult gyakorlatot, de a logisztika strategiai donteseinek informatikai tamogatottsagat es a hasznalt kommunikacios technikakat is. Osszessegeben megallapithatjuk, hogy a logisztikai informacios rendszerek fejlettsegi szintje ma Magyarorszagon kozepesnek mondhato, fontos megjegyezni azonban, hogy a KKV szektor e teren is jelentős lemaradassal rendelkezik. Ez termeszetesen azt is jelent, hogy az informatikai eszkozok alkalmazasanak kiterjesztesevel meg jelentős teljesitmenyjavulas erhető el. ----- Abstract: The essay summarizes the results of a survey carried out by Corvinus University of Budapest, Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Aim of the survey was to analyze and describe the actual Hungarian company practice regarding the IT support of logistics – and particularly distribution – processes, and the plans of developing it within the next 2-3 years. Survey has systematically covered all fields of logistics information system, analyzed the prevalence of different identification techniques and systems. On the whole we appoint that logistics information systems applied by Hungarian companies are on satisfactory level; however it is important to tell that SME companies are in huge lag. This means that improving logistics information system hides the possibility of considerable performance development.

A szerző kutatási célja, hogy megvizsgálja, vajon a hazai vállalatok mai gyakorlatában a fejlettebb logisztikai képességek együtt járnak-e magasabb teljesítménnyel. Az elemzés a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem Vállalat-gazdaságtan Intézete mellett működő Versenyképesség Kutató Központ vállalati versenyképességet vizsgáló kérdőíves felmérés immár 4. fordulójának adatbázisát használja, melyet 2009 folyamán összesen 300 vállalat vezetőinek megkérdezésével hoztak létre. Ennek az adatbázisnak a felhasználásával a cikk két kérdésre keresi a választ. A szerző egyrészt megvizsgálja, vajon a mintában kimutatható-e egy fejlettebb logisztikai képességekkel rendelkező vállalatcsoport. Másrészt arra is kíváncsi, vajon ezek a fejlettebb logisztikai képességek együtt járnak-e a vállalatok magasabb teljesítményével. A 2009-es adatok elemzése igazolta, hogy logisztikai képességekben két szignifikánsan eltérő fejlettségű vállalatcsoport létét. Az eredményekből az is kiolvasható, hogy a magasabb logisztikai képességek a mintában együtt jártak a magasabb működési teljesítménnyel is. _________________ The overall objective of the paper is to investigate the relationship between logistics capabilities and company’s performance. Empirical analysis is carried out based on an extensive questionnaire developed and conducted at the Competitive Research Center at the Corvinus University of Budapest in 2009. Using this database the author had two separate research questions: Can she detect companies in their sample with significantly different logistics capabilities. If yes, does more developed logistics lead to higher level performance at the company level? After carrying out their empirical analysis they could state, that they could prove the existence of two clusters, one with less and another with more developed logistics capabilities. They also were able to show that firms with more developed logistics can achieve significantly higher operational performance and can be characterized with a more developed customer orientation.
