Cedar River Paper, the joint-venture of Weyerhaeuser Midwest and Midwest Recycle Company, is a maxi mill built with mini mill concepts as guidelines. The Iowa-based mill is a maxi mill in that it has a corrugating medium machine producing 750 tpd. However, it is using mini mill strategies such as single-sourcing.
