The present paper makes a systematic literature review based on the topic of Gender Gap in the workplace, considering the evolution over the last two decades and the current state of the art. The study is based on the Scopus database: in articles, books, and indexed conference proceedings. Much of the research done about the gender gap in the workplace has traditionally come from a male perspective, however, the trend of current state of art literature identifies differences between men and women as students, workers, managers, and entrepreneurs. These differences are particularly clear in terms of their propensity to acquire education, innovate, approach to creativity, decision making, resilience, creativity, and co-creation. Will be also analysed, in a related way, the socio-economic inequalities in the workplace and how these are affected by education, individual skills, wages, management and leadership, work performance, productivity, and promotion, and mobility and migration.
